In the old west, every cowboy knew how to catch a wild animal using his lasso. He would spot the animal running or resting, and he would throw the rope over part of it and draw it back to him. The Law of Attraction works kind of like a lasso too. Whenever you give your attention to anything, it is like casting a vibrational lasso and pulling this thing toward you. Notice I said anything. When you see something you don’t want, and you want to get it out of your experience, there is no tool for pushing it away. The only tool in your tool kit is your lasso. It is very easy to pull something to you using a good, strong rope. But have you ever tried moving something heavy by pushing it with a rope? It is impossible to do! Yet, sometimes we try…unsuccessfully…to push things out of our experience by sheer effort. Once you realize that there is only attraction, and that you attract by including things in your perception, then you will be able to picture yourself with your lasso, pulling all things toward you. You will no longer be quite as willing to pull things you don’t want toward you. You will realize that all day, every day, you are casting your rope into the vibrational world…you never stop doing this. So today, be aware of how you use your vibrational lasso, and look only for the things you want closer to you vibrationally. The rest will take care of themselves, and you will be an even more powerful deliberate creator. Be.Love today! Hannya-GP

For a whole summer when I was a teenager, I remember walking the beach at sunrise every morning with a good friend who was about fifty years older than I was. She would pick me up early in the morning, and we would stroll the beach just being grateful and talking about life in general. It was a very connected way to start the day. Afterward we would usually pop in for a quick and cheap breakfast at a local cafe. I was so appreciative of the time, and I wanted to show it by picking up the tab for breakfast. I picked up the tab for the first several times, and then one day she stopped and insisted that I NOT pay so that she could pay. I resisted. She finally said to me that “she who pays has the power of giving, but she who receives has the power of receiving.” I was stopped in my tracks because I never thought of receiving as a powerful act. It was then and there for the first time that I realized my lack of practice around receiving. It was hard for me to not pay. It was difficult to enjoy letting her pay…I felt slightly guilty. Over the years I have come to balance giving and receiving in my life. When I pay (or donate. or give my time, etc.) I do it in full appreciation for the good it brings to others. And when I receive, I receive fully, without guilt or shame or worry, the amazing gifts being offered. It is truly powerful to open yourself up to receiving. And bear in mind that receiving can take place all day (not just in the form of money) through smiles, positive interactions, or compliments from others. Receive with your full power. I am grateful for that early experience, and I appreciate the wisdom it has brought to my life. Perhaps you (The Gratitudeplanet.com community) have had an experience like this one? Some people get frustrated that they can’t remain positive and grateful more of the time. You certainly can relate to falling into vibrations that feel like pessimism, frustration, worry, doubt, guilt or blame. We all feel these vibrations, and it’s all part of being a human being living a human experience. These feelings are natural, and they help us know where we are on the Vibrational Scale. But remaining in these vibrational ranges is counterproductive and can only keep you away from what you are wanting to manifest and experience. However, if you think that it is your duty to be always positive and grateful all the time, you may be setting yourself up for confusion and frustration. You may find yourself slipping into, say, anger, and then beating yourself up because you slipped into anger. Beating yourself up just intensifies the feeling of not being where you want to be, and you may slip into an even less-good feeling vibration. Likewise, if you don’t feel good, and you try to smile and pretend that you do, you once again shine a light on an awareness that you are not where you want to be. So what should you do? We recommend that you do the best you can to feel the best that you can. Sounds too simple, right? But what we are saying is that you simply try to feel a little better by thinking a thought that feels just slightly better than the one you are experiencing. If you are angry, look for thoughts in your mind that feel more like discouragement or blame. Neither of these feel very good, but they do feel better, and they give you a sense of relief from the feeling of anger. At each emotional/vibrational level you cultivate a new vibration that puts you closer and closer to gratitude, appreciation, and love. It’s like planting seeds in the ground, watering them and caring for them, and knowing that soon you will reap a bountiful harvest. In this case, the harvest is a place of connection where the Law of Attraction can line you up with your desires. The lower-feeling vibrations help us know what we want with even more clarity, and they give us a boost to move into better-feeling vibrations. So today, just notice how you are feeling and do your best to relax, find a feeling that feels better to you than the one you are feeling, and move up the scale…not pretending, but instead cultivating. Be real, and just feel. Soon you will be able to move up the Vibrational Scale quickly, and you will be in a range that feels good more of the time. Enjoy this most amazing day! GP

When you look at the world, all the people in it, and all the varied experiences that people are having, it’s amazing to behold. Billions of people having varied and contrasting experiences, and each is getting to choose what they give their attention to. It’s easy to be caught up in it all and see people having the things you want to have, or doing the things you want to do, and then worrying that they are keeping you from getting your share of the cool stuff. Law of Attraction is managing all of this for you, of course, and there is no way that anyone or anything can keep you from attracting the things that you are a vibrational match to. In fact, everything you attract into your experience is a vibrational match to the average signal you have been sending out. If you will get into the mind frame that everything is a match to your signal, then you will no longer blame others if something less-than-great comes into your life. Instead, just say “that’s a match” and go on about your business. Likewise, when great things happen to you, say “that’s a match” also. It’s great to know that no matter what happens to us, we have personal responsibility for attracting it. Some might say, “I didn’t ask for a car accident, so how did I attract THAT?” The answer is that you ask with your thoughts AND your feelings, and the Universe answers your most practiced vibration with things that match the essence of these feelings. Another way to say this is that you don’t ask with words much of the time…you ask with the average tone of how you feel. You can attract a car accident by feeling disconnected, unempowered, angry, unfulfilled, or anything that feels like these vibrations, even if you have occasional dances with bliss and connection. So the key is, what are you feeling most of the time? Do you choose thoughts that feel good, or do you whip up thoughts that feel bad when you think them? Again, the proof of how you have been feeling, whether you realize it or not, is what shows up as manifestations in your life. Laugh and say “that’s a match” as often as you can. If you don’t like the match you got from Law of Attraction, reconsider what you have been giving most of your attention to. Shift your attention, and watch as you get a different manifestation in your life. Once you get a handle on how this works, you will be free to create a relationship, money, health, and general prosperity with the creativity and effectiveness of a great artist or an amazing architect.
