There was a time when I thought I would be happy if all my problems would just go away forever. Everything seemed to be a bother, and I felt like life was a constant struggle. I thought that I had to find a way to solve all my problems once and for all, and I looked everywhere for a solution. I meditated, did yoga, kept fit, read books, and got a hold of every self-help book or video I saw. Yet, to my dismay, my problems didn’t disappear completely. No matter what I did or achieved, I still had unfulfilled desires that I labeled as problems, or as “contrast.”  The striving for a life of no contrast was a pain. The harder I tried to have no contrast, the more I seemed to have. Sometimes I felt defeated and that I was a loser if I had problems to face in my life. Thankfully I came to new understandings about the Law of Attraction, and over time I gained a new perspective on the “problems” in my life and the positive function they serve.

As I understand it, we are created in the image of Source Energy. We are vibrational beings who are extensions of the Source from which we came. When we think, we send out energy to the Universe. Before we are born into a physical body, we are one with our Source, and there is no contrast…yes, NO CONTRAST! (This is what I was trying to achieve in this lifetime!) But as an extension of Source, living in a physical body on planet Earth, I am supposed to encounter things that I want…and that I don’t yet have. When I have “problems” or unfulfilled desires in my life, the Source that I came from GROWS in proportion to my asking. If I am sick, I have a problem; but through experiencing this sickness, I ask strongly for health, and vibrationally I send a signal back to myself as Source Energy. The part of me that is still Source responds immediately to my expanded idea of health, and literally becomes a new version of me with the new condition of expanded health. But, you might ask, how do I benefit from this if I am still sick?

When life causes you to ask for something better, or for a solution to a problem in your life, the greater part of you grows, becomes the expanded version, and begins calling you toward the new manifestation into physical reality. (You may want to read that last sentence again). You ask, Source answers by expanding fully into the new thing, and all you have to do is allow yourself to receive the new condition. Law of Attraction is the manager of all of this, so it is important to focus on the new desire rather than the lack of the new desire. (More on this later). The point of this post is that you will never be problem or contrast free in this lifetime. Instead of wasting time, as I did, trying to solve all your problems, be grateful for the contrast you experience. Give yourself credit for the expansion you have sent to your Source, and then get into a place to let it manifest into your experience on Earth. If you are not asking, you are not growing. Be grateful and appreciative for the contrast in your life. It gives you the push forward into new and amazing things. Let me know if this post makes any sense to you. I know it took me a while to hear it this way, so don’t worry if it takes you some time to think all this through too. Be Well, Marie-GP

  1. Hi Tricia,

I LOVE your analogy of a movie. I also believe life is like a movie (full of illusion), but instead of being the observer, I like to think of myself being the director. I’m the one who is always in charge of choosing the better options and ideas for my film (my life). Thinking this way helps me keep myself focused on more of the good things in life that I want, and allows Law of Attraction to do it’s job and match me up vibrationally with the good things that I desire.
Thanks for your input! I agree with Marie. You’re very insightful!

  2. Hi Marie Gee,

    Thank you as are yours!

You’re right “we never get it done.” We will never “have it all together” That’s like trying to eat once and for all.

  3. Hi Billy,

For me ~ Life consists of Joy and Suffering.
It is how we view the world that makes the difference.
I no longer take my suffering “personal” with a “Why Me?”stomping of the foot and throwing my self on the floor in a weeping heap! *laughing*

I know it is just what it is. And it will pass. It always has. It always will. So I do not attach my self to the emotion.

I imagine it similar to being in a theatre watching a movie. I am the Observer.

If this does not help ~ simply disregard. Yes?

    IN JOY
    Tricia

That is how I understand it. We are eternally growing and expanding because the contrast, challenges, and problems of life continue to propel us forward toward new desires. We never get it done.

I love the idea of getting many “do-overs!” Thanks Tricia. Your comments are very insightful

  5. I think I get it.
Sometimes we don’t really know what we want until we create a contrast for ourselves (having problems). These contrasts help us to focus our attention on what we DO want, which in turn causes Law of Attraction to shift into gear and align us with our new desires of what we really DO want.
    Is that right???

  6. There IS a Blessing built in to everything that happens to us!

Yes ~ even the stuff we think shouldn’t have. We all have a choice when bad things happen; our hearts break. We can stay stuck and bitter OR we can allow it to make our hearts bigger, allowing more LIGHT in and giving us more empathy for others.

The LOVE-ly part of LIFE is we get as many
    do-overs as we need. Yes?

Bad things don’t turn into good things. . . . bad things make you ask strongly for good things and Law of Attraction lines up the good things.

So bless the challenges because they help us focus our desires to bring about the good.

  8. I can’t remember who said it…..but someone once said that “inside every problem lies the solution to it.” I don’t know why, but that quote just came to mind when I was reading this.
    Thanks for the pearl Marie.
