We are getting ready to launch a couple new pages here at Gratitude Planet: A Story Zone, and a Virtual Reality Zone. The Story Zone will be a place for you to share stories of your success using the Law of Attraction. You will be able to inspire others through the life you have created. In the Virtual Reality Zone, you will get to tell stories that aren’t true…yet. We’ll tell you even more about these when they are ready, but in this post I want to say a few things about “stories.” People love stories. Stories are how we put perspective into the experiences we all have on planet Earth. Telling stories is a technique for teaching others, and we all while away countless hours enjoying stories told to us through books, Blogs, spoken word, movies and television. Everybody loves a good story, and most people love a happy ending to their story.
What is YOUR story? How would you narrate the plot of your life so far? It seems like our individual story is set in stone up to this point: what has happened is done, and what hasn’t happened is unknown. Yet, past and future are but illusions that are always viewed from the present. (Wrap your mind around THAT one!) So how we view and describe past and future through our stories can be perceived as a fluid, changing thing. In essence, we are not ever limited by our past and future unless we choose to be. Isn’t it freeing to know that you are limitless, unbounded, and open to all that is good, right now? But the stories you tell about your life do have the potential to limit, bind, and close you off as well. Here’s why…
Source Energy always agrees with you…always, always, always. When you give your attention to something you include it in your vibration, and you get more of it through the magic of the Law of Attraction. This includes anything you give your focus to, including your stories of “reality.” Many people constantly repeat stories of events going poorly for them, mostly because someone will listen, and also because it is “true.” But I’m here to say that “truth and an audience” never stops Source Energy from agreeing with you. Your stories always reinforce the energy behind the story, happy ending or no happy ending. So if you tell true stories without a happy ending, what do you get? You guessed it, more real, true, and contrasting unhappy endings to your present experiences. Why would you want to do this? Good question.
Every thought, word, feeling, and point of focus creates your “story.” Your story is constantly unfolding in an ever-present NOW. Because your story creates your point of attraction, your story also creates your reality. Knowing this, why wouldn’t you want to have a happy ending to your story? Why wouldn’t you tell the story you want to hear, rather than the one you have been telling? Why wouldn’t you create your story like your favorite heroic or romantic plot line? Your story is real…your story is what creates your reality. Listen today to how you tell your story through your thoughts, actions, and spoken words. Does it sound like the plot line that you want to live…that leads to your happy ending? Better yet, does it describe your happy ending as if it were already here? (Then you know you really are on to something!) Here are a few of my favorite quotes about this topic:
- Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought. Albert von Szent-Gyorgyi (1893-1986)
- Our attitude toward life determines life’s attitude towards us. Earl Nightingale (1921-1989)
- Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate accomplishments. Napoleon Hill (1883-1970)
- Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking. Marcus Aurelius (121-180 AD)
- Man’s greatness lies in his power of thought. Blaise Pascal (1623-1662)
Start telling the story you want to hear, and be ready to enjoy the best chapter of your life. Be Well, Marie-GP

Lately, I’ve been playing a dual role with myself. Whenever I feel bad, depressed, angry, sad, etc., I look at that person as a separate part of me and say “If you want to feel that way….fine! Go ahead!! But I’m not. I’m going to feel good!” Seems to work out pretty nicely for me! Thanks Marie! What Chris said.
