Gratitude and Law of Attraction: It’s Always About How You Feel!

If you have been working with the Law of Attraction and practicing gratitude and appreciation, you know the value of aligning with the feeling of what you have been asking for. Some people worry, however, that they need to be specific about what they are happy about. If they are trying to create a new job, for example, they might think that they need to give continuous thanks for the new job on the way. There is nothing wrong with doing this, but it can have diminishing returns, depending on the way it feels. When you believe something is on the way, and then whip up excitement because you know it’s coming soon, there is great power behind your thoughts and feelings. But when you don’t really believe it’s coming soon, and you feel a need to affirm that it is, you may feel worse by using words that are too far away from how you really feel. The key is to use the best feeling words you can that tell a story that you want to hear. The words you say to yourself need to be in a range that make you feel better. Saying words you absolutely don’t believe won’t move you closer to where you want to be, and may even reinforce a feeling of separation with yourself.
What seems to work for many people is guiding everything they do based on how it feels when they are doing it, and readjusting as they go. If you are creating that new job, then talk about the new job in terms that feel good. If you find yourself going down a path that doesn’t feel so good, change direction and find different words about the job. If you find, however, that no matter what you say about the new job you feel worse…simply don’t talk about it. Instead, find another subject that you can talk about that DOES feel good. Don’t worry about creating the job at this point. You have asked the Universe and Law of Attraction for the new job, and it is ready to appear in your experience. But it can’t come if you are feeling disconnected. A general feeling of happiness, gratitude, and contentment is all you need to practice. The rest will unfold perfectly. Today, just relax and know that all is so very well. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

Tasha,
Your words are inspiring. Thanks for the comment. It’s so true that you have to be grateful right now so that you can enjoy today AND a better tomorrow. Enjoy this day! CHRIS

My advice is to be grateful for what is great about your life and to imagine your new job and know it’s going coming soon.
Good luck
Gratitude is where real happiness lies, not so much in outer circumstances.
The new job you are imagining will feel good because of the good feelings you attach to it.
Right now,at your current job(because as long as you have to work there while your other job is manifesting)pay attention to all and any good things about it.Even if your current job is horrible, just try to find one thing about it that’s good and give thanks.
Keep up gratitude for all that is well in your life now and gratitude for all the blessings coming. And that’s all there is to it

Merrill,
You can talk about the new job in any way that feels good, and about any aspects that feel good. Most of it you will be “making up” at first but that is OK. You can say “I will work with really fun people.” If the thought thrills you, then say “and they will be engaged in making their jobs expand for the good of everyone.” And if that thrills you and feels good, then say “and they will love having me in the office.” If, instead you say “I will work with really fun people” and inside you feel worse and tell yourself, “ya, right, like THAT is going to happen,” then it is better to think of something else completely off that topic that does feel better. If you feel good, Law of Attraction will work its magic. Positive words with a diminished feeling works against you. Make sense?

I like what you’re saying, Chris….but I’m not sure of where to start with thinking and talking about that new job (for example) in terms that feel good. Is it like saying “I’m going to enjoy all the money that new job is going to give me”?
