The word “Allowing” describes a state of being where you are connected to your Source. It is a state where you are in The Vortex, in harmony with who you really are. When you are in the state of Allowing, you are feeling good, you are ready for more, and you are enjoying your life in this moment. Being in a state of allowing also means that you are attracting things you want into your experience through the Law of Attraction. Law of Attraction magnifies what ever you are vibrating and brings more of it into your experience. So if you want more of the things you have been asking for, try practicing a state of allowing more often. When you are in this wonderful state, time is on your side, you have perfect timing, and you see the best in everyone, everything, and every moment. Here are five simple tips for expanding your experience of allowing:
1. Meditate. Just sit quietly for five minutes and notice your breath moving in and out of your lungs. If you mind drifts (and it will) then just bring your attention to your breathing again. You will feel the relief of your wellbeing expand. You are in a greater state of allowing now.
2. Be Grateful. Think of all the gifts you have in your life right now. Be thankful for each. Count each blessing one by one, and feel the joy of how many wonderful things you already have. Go over the list again and again. Feel the joy. You are in a greater state of allowing now.
3. Love the people in your life. Think of all the people who you interact with every day. Think of how each one of them is special and how each adds value to your experience at some level, either as a teacher, a student, or as a colleague. Give them a mental embrace. You are in a greater state of allowing now.
4. Visualize everything you want. See yourself having all the things you say you want. Love the feeling of having it all right now. Play with the images until they feel really good. You are in a greater state of allowing now.
5. Just relax. Yes, you can allow by doing nothing. Breathe, daydream, and let go of every worry you have. Release all resistance, and just be. Feel your vibration raise by the act of completely letting go. You are in a greater state of allowing now.
These tips are simple, yet each will make a positive difference in your vibration. Each one will help you feel a little better. Try these and see if they work for you. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

As consciousness having a human experience on planet Earth, we are by nature “doers.” We like to do things, and we like to see results from our actions. It is easy to start seeing our actions as the only way things come to us, and to put artificial pressure on ourselves to “do more” and to “be motivated.” Working harder can be fun, and seeing better and better results feels very good. But if you are seeing fewer results from your efforts than you would like to, it may be a good time to examine how you have been approaching your actions. Have you been inspired, or just motivated? If you have been a regular visitor to GratitudePlanet.com, you know that we encourage being present and expanding into not doing anything sometimes.
Not doing is a powerful way to let go and to allow. However, it doesn’t mean that you should sit in your house and wait for someone to come feed, clothe, and exercise your body for you! There is a time for not doing, and there is a time for doing. If you are in the habit of waking up to a full run and going about your day at light speed, you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially if the pace has been this way for a while. If so, try this approach for a week (if you need to rise earlier to get quiet time in your household, do so): wake and list ten things you appreciate or are grateful for in your life. Hold them to you and be silent. Expand into the wonderful feeling of these gifts in your life. Sit quietly and picture yourself doing the things you love to do. See yourself sailing, or painting, or singing, or dancing, or laughing with others, or enjoying your new house, or your new relationship, or whatever…you know best and you get to choose. Don’t put limits on your own mind, and just allow yourself to experience these thoughts as if they were already a manifested experience in your reality.
As you do this exercise, you will start to receive important information from the Universe in the form of new pictures in your imagination, or in the form of a feeling of inspiration. You will come to a new awareness and clarity about what only you can do this day. You will get a clearer sense of your priorities and goals for the day, and you will be inspired to move forward into action. When you feel this, stop the meditation exercise and start the action side of your day, following the inspiration you have received.
Actions that are undertaken with uninspired motivation are harder to accomplish, less fun, and leave you feeling worse than before you did the action. Inspired action puts you into the flow of the Universe, so you enjoy the experience more, you have more ease in the process, and you have perfect timing with resources appearing effortlessly as they are needed. You will attract the things you need through Law of Attraction, and you will feel the perfection of the process more and more. Inspired action is easy and invigorating. Motivation can be draining over time. So today, notice how you are moving into your doing phase. Try this inspiration meditation for a week and journal all the things you accomplish. Optimism is one of he best tools for working effectively with the Law of Attraction. When you are optimistic, you are open to seeing things the way you want to see them. Remember that Law of Attraction responds to your average vibration over time, so it is key to hold a vibration that matches what you want to attract into your life. This means that you shouldn’t contradict your own desires if possible. But as humans, we tend to let our vibration swing between different emotions all the time. Sometimes you are hopeful, and then you might feel contented, and then bored, and then optimistic…your vibrational offering is really a moving target. If you can bring your thoughts, feelings, and action into a more focused offering, then you can attract more consistent results and enjoy every moment of your life more and more. Reginald B. Mansell said it well when he noted that “A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities; an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties.”
I woke up this morning thinking about the song “The Greatest” by Kenny Rogers. If you haven’t heard this song, you can hear it HERE. This song goes to the heart of how optimism and Law of Attraction work together. The boy in the song absolutely feels that he is the greatest ball player ever to walk the planet, and his vibrational offering is pure. And when the world gives him evidence to the contrary, he holds fast to his belief and makes the best of it. When you do this in your life, you summon the energy that creates Universes, and you open to manifesting the reality of your belief and desire. You don’t quit on your desire when most others would quit. You stay with the vibration long enough to see it become your reality. Read the words to yourself and feel the power and joy of the optimism in this song:

I know that some people think optimists are fools who sift through bad things and delude themselves. In fact, Don Marquis said that “An optimist is a man who has never had much experience.” But remember that Law of Attraction just reinforces what you ask for, so everyone is “right” in the debate. If you think the world sucks, the world will suck for you most of the time. If you think the world is beautiful, you will attract beauty to you much of the time. This may be why Sir Winston Churchill was quoted as saying “For myself I am an optimist – it does not seem to be much use being anything else.”
Today, look for the best in things as much as possible. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Be optimistic about the wellness and prosperity you are attracting. Talk about it like it’s here right now, and enjoy the feeling of having it today. You will increase your joy, and you will uplift others as well. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

When you live your life, you come up against events and experiences that make you want something better for yourself. You may get a bill, or a parking ticket, or a pain in your leg, or a headache, or whatever: in every instance, you automatically ask the Universe to bring you a better circumstance as soon as possible. You don’t need to use words because your vibration does all the asking. Asking is somewhat automatic, then. Once you ask, the Universe and Source Energy responds to this request by expanding the part of you that is non-physical. In other words, you literally grow and become more every time you ask for something better through your vibration. Why, then, doesn’t your life show constant and continuous improvement all the time? Actually, it should. If it isn’t there can be only one reason…you are not vibrating in harmony with the new and expanded version of your greater self.
Vibrating with the new version of your expanded self sounds like a hard thing to do, but it really isn’t. In fact, we are hard-wired to match this new vibration, as long as we don’t get in our own way. The momentum of who you are will guide you toward allowing your wellbeing, but you have to be willing to stop focusing the way you did before you asked for the expansion. Another way to say this is, if you have a bill you can’t pay, you automatically want more money. Once you have asked for more money, you have to start thinking like a person with more money. As long as you think of yourself as a person who can’t meet their bills, you will remain a person who can’t pay their bills. Do you get it? You have to match who you have already become vibrationally, or things just change to the same things again and again.
I have a hard time keeping track of what I have asked for vibrationally. I’m not sure I know consciously what it all is anyway. So instead, I follow this simple tip for allowing my wellbeing: I try to live in the vibration of appreciation and gratitude. I look for things that I appreciate, and I give thanks for what I already have. When you practice appreciating your life, you ask Law of Attraction to bring you more things to love and enjoy. It is not necessary to identify what you are allowing to improve, but it is important that you stay out of your own vibrational way. When you are thankful and appreciative more of the time, you are a closer match to everything you have asked for. In this state, you are in the Vortex of creation, and what you have asked for vibrationally is busy appearing in your reality. Appreciation allows wellbeing, period.
If you want to start appreciating and being grateful more, start by making a short list in your mind right now. Take 10 seconds. I’ll do the same too…
- I appreciate the sunshine today.
- It’s summer, and I love the summer.
- I am grateful for the time to exercise my body today.
- I appreciate you focus I have with my mind, and the happiness I feel for others.
- I am grateful for the Law of Attraction. I get more of what I focus on.
That was easy. If you found it a little difficult, just do this for a minute a day. Watch how much easier it gets. Get out of your own way, stop worrying about the future, and enjoy this moment. Are there are times in your life when you feel you are exactly where you are supposed to be? Sure there are! These are great times because you feel no need to hurry away or fix something that is already done. The Universe is at rest and everything is in place. I like to call this feeling “Divine Order” because it seems like everything in creation has come together to put me in the right place at the right time. Divine Order is the basis of All That Is, and it is one of the rules of existence in this reality. Everything unfolds in its perfect order, and there are no mistakes.
But I must admit that there are times that I don’t feel like everything is working out correctly. Sometimes I feel like things don’t go my way regardless of how hard I try to make it so. Why does it seem like Divine Order fails me in those times? Well, we know that the Law of Attraction is always matching you up with more of your average vibration…and we know that what you vibrate and what you get is always a perfect match. So the reason that Divine Order sometimes seems to be out of order stems from our own inability to monitor what we are vibrating outward through our thoughts, feelings, and actions. As you become more and more aware of how you feel, you will observe the connection of how you feel to the results you get in your experience. The order of events and the experiences you attract will always be a match to your vibration.
I refer to Divine Order frequently to help me remember to relax, and also to help me stay optimistic and to expect the best. If I am behind a slow driver, I think about how I am being held back a bit to arrive at my destination at exactly the right time. When I get up, I think about how no matter how fast or slow I shower and dress, I will be in alignment with Divine Order and in the right place at the right time. When I approach my work parking lot, I tell myself that I always get a parking spot, and that my timing is perfectly coordinated with Divine Order to make a space appear as I arrive. It almost always does appear. And when it doesn’t, I move on to the next lot knowing that once again, things are in their perfect order. I expect something else to go my way because of the experience.
Do you believe in Divine Order? Do you believe that you are guided to be in the right place at the right time? I think it is more fun to believe in this concept than it is to worry about controlling things that you can’t control. If you accept the workings of Divine Order, you can relax more, and you can take in the joys of life more fully. Let yourself feel the perfection of your life today. Did you know that when you say yes to anything with your words, thoughts, or actions…the Universe agrees with you and gives you more of it? Law of Attraction makes this so. Likewise, when you say “NO” to something unwanted and give it your attention through words, thoughts, or actions…the Universe also agrees with you and gives you more of it. So it is impossible to give your attention to anything without asking the Universe to bring you more of it…wanted and unwanted events and experiences flow to you by your simple attention to them.
We have an incredible gift to choose the reality we want to manifest here on planet Earth. No one chooses for you, and no one can vibrate for you either. You attract everything to you, and there are no exceptions. The bottom line here is that you are always in the driver’s seat of your life, and you should take the wheel and start steering with gratitude and appreciation, focusing on where you are going. Don’t keep waiting to see something “real” materialize before you believe it can come to you; rather, believe it is coming to you, and look for the small, but still very real, hints and clues that it is on the way. Believe it first, and then look for it to be attracted to you through the Law of Attraction. Enjoy the feeling of already having the thing you have imagined. Everything in this world comes and goes, and we all have debts at some point in our lives that need to be paid back. When you owe someone something, you have a responsibility to settle the debt. This makes me think about an excellent movie called “Pay It Forward” that came out in 2000 starring Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt, and Haley Joel Osment. In this movie the idea of “paying forward” came into the mainstream. The idea is that if you do something for someone, instead of asking them to pay you back, you can ask them to pay it forward instead. What this means is that they would look for an opportunity to do the same good deed that you did, except to someone else. Your “payback” and good energy become the start of another good deed that, hopefully, expands and expands outward. This approach has some very nice benefits for you as a deliberate creator of your experience.
Remember that the Law of Attraction matches you up with more of whatever you presently have as measured by your thoughts, feelings, and actions. So to change your life in a real and meaningful way, you first need to change your thinking and actions, and also reach for the best feelings you have access to. When you care about how you feel, and when you take inspired action, your connection to Source Energy becomes stronger, and you start attracting happiness and joy into your experience more and more of the time. As a connected being you now have an ability to remain in the Vortex of connection, and also to magnify and expand that connection in every direction of your life. You can “give away” your happiness everywhere you go.
When you are connected to who you are and are feeling good, you will uplift others with whom you come into contact. Law of Attraction will line you up with people who are ready to feel better, and you will be of great value to their experience. On the other hand, when you are not connected and not in line with who you really are, you can only bring out the same in others. Law of Attraction will put you face-to-face with other people who are struggling just like you are, and you will not be able to uplift in as powerful a way.
It is much more fun to notice your thoughts, feelings, and actions and make the best of where you are. Reach for feelings of relief, and follow the best thoughts that come to you. Once you feel good, picture your love and joy radiating out in all directions toward everything in the Universe. Picture Law of Attraction working like mad by inspiring others like yourself to be in certain places at certain times, all being guided to cross your path today. Make an intention to uplift these people when you see them, not by doing anything in particular, but just by being a joyful, connected, and loving person. Let the magic of each moment unfold perfectly. If you intend to attract these people to you, they will appear in your experience today. Picture your happiness and connection as a gift that you receive from Source Energy, and then pay it forward…all day, every day! Source will refill your cup every time you ask it to, and then you will have something to give away to others. Try this today and see if it makes your day go better. Receive, be grateful, and then give freely to others. It’s one of the secrets to living a rich and happy life. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

Being grateful and appreciative for the things in your life (as well as the things you know are coming soon) is the engine that drives your amazingly-unfolding well being and your ever-expanding prosperity. You may already have a habit of waking each day and finding reasons to be happy and grateful. You may already find it easy to see the best in any situation. You may be getting really good at using affirmations, and you may be able to add to our Gratitude Board with thoughts that come easy to you. Good for you. So today I ask you this question: “Are you grateful for YOU?” Can you easily create a list of things that you appreciate about yourself? Are you able to give yourself credit for the amazing person you are today, regardless of the expansion you are experiencing today and will experience eternally? Are you aware of the unique gifts that only you can bring to this Earth, and are you willing to own, honor, and proclaim these to the Universe?
Some people find this difficult because they don’t want to seem egotistical or self-centered. But if you don’t have a healthy ego, you may be holding thoughts that contradict the way Source feels about you. Holding back your love of self sends a conflicted signal to Law of Attraction, and you may attract people, places, and events that reinforce this lack of love. And when you feel differently about yourself than the way Source feels about you, you are going to feel bad, unworthy, disconnected, and irritated, and out of the Vortex. In fact, if you have been doing diligent work to be aligned with appreciation, and you feel like you have your Attitude of Gratitude working most of the time…yet you still notice some disconnection or have been having some less-than-wanted things appearing in your experience…it may be time to be grateful for YOU more of the time!
Try to see if you can make a list of the things that you appreciate about yourself, and see if it is easy or difficult to do this exercise. Do it everyday, mentally or on paper, for a week and you may see a positive vibrational shift in your life. Source Energy loves you, thinks you are amazing, always sees you as worthy, and has already become everything you want to be. Relax, appreciate, and be grateful for YOU. Thank you so much… Be Well,

If you have read the FAQ page on this site, you know that we want you to feel better when you visit Gratitude Planet. We want you to feel good, of course, but no one feels good all the time. If you think you need to always feel good, you will beat yourself up when you realize that you are a little cranky, angry, or snarky. Feeling good is a great goal, and feeling good is part of the equation that helps you harness the positive power of Law of Attraction. But when you know you don’t feel good, just do your best to feel a little better. It’s all about the Vibrational/Emotional scale.
You only have access to thoughts that are near your present emotional set point. This set point is determined by the thoughts you have been thinking recently. If you feel, say, irritated, then you have access to an emotion that feels a little better (pessimism) as well as an emotion that feels a little worse (frustration). None of these emotions feel good, but one does feel better. By reaching for the one that feels better, you can achieve vibrational harmony with it. You will feel a little relief in your emotional set point, and your new vibration puts you in proximity to an even better-feeling thought: Boredom!
But what if you want to go right from irritation to bliss? The answer is that you simply can’t do it. Look again at the Emotional/Vibrational Scale, grouped in order from the worst feeling (bottom) to the best feeling emotions (at the top):

Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness

What ever you feel, you can only move up or down one or two emotions at a time. To go from irritation to bliss, then, is just not going to happen. You can pretend to be happy, but you will not really feel it. Instead, reach for the best feeling thought you have access to. The idea is to climb out of your disconnected thoughts one by one until you get to ones that feel good. Once you feel good, you will automatically attract more of what you desire. Law of Attraction will match your connected thoughts with more and more connected thoughts. Your life will “snowball” in a positive direction and you will start to see wonderful manifestations start to appear everywhere you look. When people talk about quitting smoking, they usually talk about “kicking the habit” of smoking. This is a good example of the misuse of the word “habit” because of the associated addiction to nicotine. The dictionary defines “habit” this way:

1 a settled or regular tendency or practice, esp. one that is hard to give up : this can develop into a bad habit | we stayed together out of habit.
• informal an addictive practice, esp. one of taking drugs : a cocaine habit.
• Psychology an automatic reaction to a specific situation.
• general shape or mode of growth, esp. of a plant or a mineral : a shrub of spreading habit
We can see that having a habit or being “habitual” has a negative association according to the dictionary. If a behavior is hard to give up, it can turn into a “bad” habit. Addictions have been informally labeled as habits as well. Of course, we can have behaviors that are healthy and that promote wellness, such as exercising daily, or eating well. The main point here is that we all develop patterns of behavior that either serve us, or they don’t. Looking objectively at your habits can be a healthy exercise of awareness…so let’s look at this a little more today.
When you think something or do something, you send out a vibration to the Universe, and the Law of Attraction immediately matches the vibration and reinforces it. Another way to say this is that if you think a thought for a while, you starting thinking other similar thoughts. The easiest thoughts to think tend to match the ones you have already been thinking. If you do an action over and over, it becomes easier to keep doing it than it does to change the patterns of action. Law of Attraction reads your vibration and and determines where you are vibrationally, and then agrees and gives you more of the same. People, events, and circumstances reinforce your patterns of habit. The Universe does its best to keep you doing what ever you have been doing. It’s like an autopilot. You stay on course.
But what if you are tired of your direction? What if you are flying toward a mountain and you are on autopilot? You have two choices, really. You can change course or hit the mountain. If you decide to change course, and break a few habits of thinking, feeling, and acting, then you will need to put some deliberate energy toward making changes. If you decide to enjoy the ride until you hit the mountain, you will be provided with enough contrast to make you change after the impact. Notice that not changing is not an option here. You get to decide for yourself if you want your change little by little, or all at once.
I prefer to change little by little when I can. It’s hard at first, but it gets easier as you go. Decide to replace a thought today. Notice your thought about something, and tell yourself that you are changing the feeling of the thought. If you are irritated with the way your hair looks, decide to feel hopeful that you will be able to get it cut soon. Small change…big result over time. You can also move your body in new patterns as well. Do you sit to put your shoes on? Then stand today. It will feel awkward, but do it anyway. When is the last time you touched your toes? Touch them today. Just look for patterns of habitual thinking, feeling, and acting that you have taken for granted, and just make small changes. If you desire the changes, keep up the new behavior until Law of Attraction makes it easier for you to sustain it. A big habit may take 30 days to change, as long as you don’t keep repeating the old pattern as you go.
Think of all of this as presenting opportunities to change slowly. Be open to the idea of change, and above all, be willing to kick the habit of being habitual. Thank you so much… Be Well,

Exercise is a necessary ingredient to a healthy lifestyle, and making your exercise fun is a key component to doing it over the long term. When exercise is fun, fitness is easy. Haven’t you noticed that the things you actually like to do are always easy to do, and the things you dread the most are almost impossible to bear? I totally understand the mindset that pre-paves both of these experiences, yet it can be difficult to break out of old habits of thought to create and sustain a new vibration around exercise and fitness. Mark Twain (1835-1910) said that “A habit cannot be tossed out the window; it must be coaxed down the stairs a step at a time.” Sometimes all we need is a little “get up and go” (combined with fun) to change our habits a little at a time. Here is what I suggest: Take a Gratitude and Connection Walk. When I walk, I make it more fun by using my imagination, thoughts, and deliberate focus to feel better. Feeling better equals fun to me, and you probably feel much the same way.
Here’s how it works. Look at something…anything…that catches your attention. It can be a house in the neighborhood you are walking through, or a car, or a bird, or a trash can…anything you observe in your immediate environment.Simply say to yourself “I see a house…and I like its (fill in the blank).” So for example, someone might say, “I see a car, and I appreciate its deep blue paint job.” If you see something and you can’t think of anything to be grateful or appreciative about concerning it, find the best thought you have access to about it. This might sound something like “I see a dented car, and I appreciate that it’s not mine!” It’s OK if you just chuckle at yourself; but you did well finding something that felt true, and something that was the best thought you could think in the moment. The next thing you see, if you stick to reaching for gratitude and appreciation, will probably provide better things to like. Look for them, find them, and say them. Before long, the vibration within you will start to raise and expand to a very connected and blissful place.
One word of caution, however. This game can be played in the opposite direction, where you put down, make fun of, or become critical of the things you see. This will expand the vibrational range downward to thoughts that feel worse and worse the more you think them. The beauty is that you get to choose the direction that your thoughts flow, and when you feel better, everything looks, tastes, feels, and smells better. Your fifteen-minute walk that used to feel like two hours will feel more like fifteen minutes, and the fun you have raising your vibration will become the immediate payoff for your exercise. Instead of thinking “I really should take a walk today” you will begin to crave your Gratitude and Connection Time instead. Go ahead and get out today, alone or with a few close friends, and enjoy being deliberate about your joy! Be.Love, Hannya-GP

The great American car maker Henry Ford was father of the modern assembly line. He is credited with the above quote, and these words give us insight into the prosperity thinking of this great entrepreneur. Through his attitude, business savvy, and his creativity, he became one of the most wealthy and well-known men in the world. I am not sure if he consciously thought about the Law of Attraction, but his words in this quote suggest that he may have. When you believe something strongly, powerful forces join your belief, and the forces of the Universe align to attract the reality of the belief to your daily life. It is the belief that comes first, and then the physical manifestation follows. Life, then, can be said to be a self-fulfilling prophecy created by your focus and attention.
So what do you want to focus on today? What have you been asking for? You don’t need to attract everything you have ever asked for, and trying to do so would probably feel overwhelming. Instead, sit quietly and decide on one or two things that you would like to increase in your experience today. Do you want more people to treat you well? Then see this in your mind, and decide that you will attract kind people even more today than yesterday. Do you want more time? Then decide that you have all the time you need to do all the things you need to do. See this in your mind, and imagine yourself having such perfect timing that you get back all kinds of time. Do you want expanded prosperity? Then decide that you will attract more resources to you today. Believe that the Universe is working on your behalf to align you with these things, and let the Law of Attraction do the magical part: attracting everything you need to you.
If you decide that people should be nice to you today, you will look for the evidence of it all day. An interaction that wouldn’t normally get you attention will make you pause and appreciate how well you were treated. You will begin to re-frame your reality to conform to your beliefs and expectations, and you will expand the “reality” of the condition. It works on two levels: your optimism, and the work of Source Energy. You optimism comes from deciding what you expect to see, and then holding fast to the excitement of knowing it is coming. The actual physical manifestation comes to you as Source lines up people, circumstances, and events to make your desires manifest into form. Henry Ford said, in essence, that no mater what you expect to see, you will see it. You are always right. Then why not decide to see what you want to see? Why not attract the things you want? Let yourself enjoy this process even more today, and be grateful for the magic of life, and the ease with which you can harness the Law of Attraction. You are always right, so today take a step toward believing that everything you desire is speedily on its way. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

If you are feeling in the vibrational range of optimism or higher, it can be fun to go on a rampage of gratitude and appreciation. What you do is start naming things you love and appreciate, and let it snowball out of control. Let it lift you even higher into Expectation, Belief, Happiness, Passion, Love, and all the way to Bliss! It is important to be feeling at least in the range of optimistic before you try this, because you need access to thoughts that feel good to begin. If you are feeling, say, frustrated you will only have access to thoughts close to frustration, such as irritation or overwhelment. You CAN feel better by moving upward from frustration, but this game is not a good one unless you are already in a connected vibration.
Here is what you do: Say “I love (fill in the blank). Then say I appreciate (fill in the blank). Then perhaps, I am grateful for (fill in the blank). If you run out of things to love, appreciate or be grateful for, go more into depth about one of the things you already mentioned in a previous statement. For example, if you said “I appreciate my car,” and then draw a blank, follow up with “I love that my car is so dependable.” The fun really starts when you get a flood of ideas to be grateful for and to appreciate. The Law of Attraction states that two vibrations that are alike are drawn together. You are a vibrational magnet that calls more of the same unto yourself. Because of this, it has been stated that you can be, do, or have anything you want. Anything is possible as long as you become a match to whatever it is that you want. Sounds good in theory, but what if I want to be an astronaut? What is the chance that a 40-something guy who teaches for a living will suddenly become a space traveler? Quite unlikely. So is the premise that you can be, do, or have anything flawed and untrue? No. It’s true, but some clarification needs to be made.
I may not be able to be an astronaut in the strictest sense, because I wouldn’t be able to start over and become a fighter pilot, or be in the right place to study and train at NASA, and I wouldn’t be chosen to go on a mission over the many other well-trained men and women ready to serve in that capacity right now. But the real thing working against this dream is the lack of vibration I have around it. Up to this point, I never wanted to be an astronaut, so I haven’t built up much energy to attract people and circumstances to me through Law of Attraction. What I have attracted is a match to what I have asked for so far, and stopping on a dime and changing my vibration to something totally different is possible, but unlikely. So the first clarification is that I CAN’T be, do, or have anything…but rather I have to want it first, and then I can be, do, or have anything I really want. If you want it, it is possible. If you can become a match to anything, it must become your reality.
OK, you say, but what if today you decided you really, really wanted to go to space? Then what? Is it possible? Yes, if I want it, it is possible. But how? First, I would start focusing only on thoughts that aligned with this goal. I would pay attention to how I feel when I think these thoughts. I would be sure to feel good about the goal, and not sabotage my vibration with doubt. Then I would look for any evidence that the Universe was providing for progress toward my goal. Perhaps I would meet people in the space industry who want to talk to me about the goal, or I would find myself watching TV shows about the topic. Every bit of evidence would be followed up by more optimistic thinking around the goal. “This is possible for me, and I am going to space,” I might say frequently. Law of Attraction would then begin to snowball circumstances and events to bring me greater and greater evidence of the goal. I might get a chance to go to a space camp or meet someone who is starting a company to send civilians into space. If I really followed this with my focus and desire, and if I didn’t contradict my own desires with out-of-the-Vortex thinking, then it would be possible for me to orbit the Earth in a spacecraft. I can do it.
Many people don’t think this is possible because they say they want things that they aren’t willing to pursue vibrationally. I can’t be an astronaut unless I have a strong desire to be one. You can’t lose weight unless you want to lose it enough to attract a “thin vibration,” which means focusing on thin and being single-minded and optimistic about thin. You can be, do, or have anything you want. So what do YOU really want? Are you willing to attract it unto you? If so, let yourself feel the essence of the vibration right now. If you want thin, reach for a feeling of thin right now. If you want prosperity, reach for a feeling of richness right now. If you want health, reach for a feeling of wellness right now. If you want love, reach for a feeling of joy right now. You attract everything to you, and your ability to focus on what you really want determines your success…always. Enjoy this most amazing day! The Law of Attraction is a consistent, fair, and always predictable law of the Universe: you attract to you the things that you give your attention to, regardless of if you want them. You have an ability to spin your perception in ways that make the best of any situation, and in doing so, you literally change the way that the Universe manifests for you. The most important part of harnessing the power of the Law of Attraction is to notice how you feel. If you feel good, you are attracting everything you are asking for vibrationally. If you feel bad, you are attracting things that you won’t like very much when they appear in your reality. But there is no need to stop thinking thoughts, or to panic and attempt to censor your mind. In fact, trying to stop a thought in its tracks is next to impossible. Instead, you are better off relaxing and redirecting your thoughts to something that feels a little better. The point is to notice how you feel, acknowledge where you are, and always move toward things that feel better. Simply turning from things that make you feel worse…just thinking about something else…is all you need to do to “stop” the thoughts that feel worse.
Not long ago I wrote about a game I play as I go through my day. It helps you keep track of how you are focusing your attention on any subject. I call it the “That Feels Good” game. In this game, you just pay attention to how your day unfolds in terms of how it feels to you. In this game there are only two phrases: “That feels bad” or “That feels good.” When you say “that feels bad” to yourself, it’s time to redirect. When you say “that feels good” to yourself, you just drink in and savor and appreciate the moment for the good feeling it brings. You might even follow a good-feeling experience deeper to see if it gets better and better.
Here are some examples to clarify this.
1. Someone who is talking to you shifts their focus to all the problems they have been experiencing. It goes on and on. You calmly say to yourself “this feels bad” and think of a way to redirect. You may give them words of comfort, or help them see a silver lining in the situation…or you may just be silent and let them talk themselves out. See if you can elicit a “that feels good” from your vibration. If you can’t then it’s time to move on to another encounter with someone else, as opposed to helping them whip up the disconnection by participating fully in it.
2. You are in a grocery story in the checkout line, and someone cuts the line. You feel some negative emotion and say to yourself “that feels bad.” You have two choices. You can continue to feel bad and maybe even confront the person, or possibly stew about it to yourself, or start talking to another customer about the “injustice,” or you can find something else to focus upon that feels better. In this case you might notice an adorable child in the cart behind you, smile at it, and start up a very pleasant conversation with the parent of the child. If so, you might feel you connection return. You would say “that feels good.” Then continue to enjoy the interaction. The line cutter is no longer part of your vibrational attraction.
3. You are out shopping and the day is going well: the lights all turn green as you roll up, you get the parking spaces you want, and the traffic is flowing well. Every time you notice one of these events going your way, just say out loud or to yourself “that feels good.” Smile and rejoice that you have perfect timing. Bask in it. Noticing that acknowledging that you feel good actually makes you feel even better.
4. You are having a good time at work, and all your activities feel rewarding. Suddenly an email comes in from someone who recently had a disagreement with you. You look quickly to determine that there is no new information in the letter, and you notice strongly “that feels bad.” In a microsecond you tap the DELETE key, and in a few seconds you begin to feel your connection return. Before long, you will be able to say, once again, “that feels good.”
This is a game, so there is no need to be serious about it. Just notice how you feel and what you say to yourself in your “inner speak.” If you don’t have strong feelings either way, just say nothing. By following your bliss throughout the day, you will enjoy the process more, you will love the day more, and you will be using the Law of Attraction to put everything you want at your finger tips. Life happens. Fecal Matter Happens. If you are alive on planet Earth, you will have times when contrast gets in your face. You may lose or not get a job, or your lover may leave you, or someone you really care about may die. Life moves in cycles, and you can expect to experience some tough times on occasion. The only question is, what do you do about it? Instead of going crazy trying to figure out what went wrong, you can use the principles of the Law of Attraction to get a new perspective and to feel better. Once the fecal matter is bouncing off the fan, consider the following thoughts:
- Everything is temporary. No matter how uncomfortable your experience is, it will only be your experience for a limited amount of time. Ride out how you feel, and let your feelings be your feelings. Own your experience as simply your experience. It is what it is. Soon everything will change to something else, and you can meet the new experience when it becomes your “now” experience. Until then, don’t worry. This, too, will pass.
- Contrast creates desire. If you are really in a crappy situation, it means that you are asking for something better in a very, very powerful way. When you ask, Source Energy answers and expands and literally becomes the new condition you have asked for. This new condition is now available for you to align with, where before you had your crappy experience, it didn’t exist at all. So by not having what you want, you create something even better.
- Don’t look back. Your experience of contrast creates a new vibrational reality, and you can’t be a match to the new condition by staying stuck in the old hurts. You must feel your negative emotions, but then let yourself feel better, and when you can, move on to the next experience. Remember that you can attract an even better experience by becoming a vibrational match to the new experience. This means being open to getting a better job, meeting an amazing lover, or coming to closure with the loss of a loved one.
- Don’t play the blame game. If something didn’t go your way, you are human…period. Everything won’t go your way, so get over it. It isn’t someone’s fault. The Law of Attraction brings to you only experiences that match your average vibration, so nothing can happen to you unless you have invited into your experience. There is no Law of Assertion, so nothing can just appear in your experience that is not part of your average vibration created through your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Don’t blame. Just take responsibility for what happened, and pivot to the best thoughts you can find on the subject.
- Bless the contrast. If you didn’t have crap striking the air conditioner, you wouldn’t have a dynamic, expanding experience to rendezvous with in your future. Your motion forward and your joy depend on this expansion. Once you are done yelling and being angry for what has happened, be glad for the experience, and feel good about the joy that is on its way. Be grateful for who you are, where you have been, and where you are going. Give gratitude for this amazing Universe, and bless your varied experiences. Everything is a match. Relax and accept this fact, and gives thanks for the diverse experiences you get to have.
I have had enough contrasting experiences to realize that the new condition I created and eventually attracted was WAY better than the original disappointment I felt. A job I didn’t get was superseded by an incredible opportunity to do something much better, or a relationship that ended created the space for one that was 100 times more joyful. You just can’t know what is coming, but you can believe in the power of the Universe to bring you what you have created in your darkest moments. All is well, and if you are having a tough time today, breathe deeply, read this again, and know that your desires have been clarified and expanded. When you go out to eat at a buffet, you get to choose the things you want to eat in the exact amounts that you want to eat them. And a really good buffet will have foods that you can try for the first time, as well as exotic delights that you might not try if you were ordering off the menu. I great buffet is fun, and enjoying so many diverse tastes can be a real treat. Have you ever considered that life is a thought buffet? You are born into this body, and you immediately begin interacting with many diverse vibrations. You emerge into a world of diversity where you are able to choose from a vast variety of thoughts and ideas that you can then give your attention to. Law of Attraction then helps bring you more things that have a similar essence of vibration…and you get to choose again…and it never ends. However, some people choose their thoughts with less care than they choose food at a buffet! At a buffet most people look at all the food available, decide which ones they will enjoy the most, and then they give their plate a good helping of these foods. No one looks for the foods they hate so that they can get a heaping plate full. They don’t worry that foods they dislike can get on their plate, and they know that the existence of foods they dislike do not stop them from choosing the foods that they do like. They also know that the foods they do not prefer might be a favorite choice of someone else. We acknowledge that when it comes to food, everyone likes something a little different.
Thoughts are exactly the same, and it is good practice to choose your thoughts at least as carefully as you choose your food. For example, if you think a thought that feels bad while you are thinking it, it’s like eating a food you are allergic to, even if it seems to taste alright at first. No thought can kill you, so just look for one that feels better and continue choosing from the thought buffet. Look for thoughts that feel like your favorite foods feel when you eat them: feast on thoughts that you enjoy thinking. Never worry that you need to stop people from thinking the way they choose to think, because it’s not your job to police the buffet. In fact, when you try to stop someone from thinking a thought or from believing a certain way, you are putting the essence of the unwanted thing on your plate and you are including it in your vibration. The Law of Attraction draws things to you, and it never pushes things away. So your thought buffet is a Universal buffet with everything you can imagine in it. You get to choose what you include, and it’s not your business to worry about what others might choose. Be masterful and choose the things you love, and savor them like a food critic. Continually upgrade to thoughts you like more and more. When you make a choice you don’t like…and you will often…just forget that thought and pick another one. Refuse to eat foods (think thoughts) that make you sick. Be healthy, be love, and be connected to Source. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

If you have wanted something for a while, you might begin to feel frustrated more and more the longer it takes to materialize in your experience. You may think that you need to work harder, or that you need to do something big to make your desires manifest. But you are not responsible for the work that the Universe does on your behalf, and you don’t need to manage the Law of Attraction to make it work for you either. Here’s an illustration to help clarify this.
Pretend that life is like a giant assembly line, and that you are a single worker on that assembly line. Your job is to add your energy and expertise at exactly the right time, and with all the care, quality, and craftsmanship you can. You are not responsible for placing the order, or keeping the line running, or adding other pieces, or even worrying about the final product. Your job is to add your unique piece as masterfully as you can.
When life causes you to want something, as you desire it a signal is sent to the Universe, and an order is placed with Source Energy on your behalf for a physical manifestation. While you are the “asker” for the new condition (money, health, a new job, more friends, or whatever) you don’t need to spend one second worrying if the Universe got the order. Once it is placed, it is placed. Now your focus can be to recognize when your “product” comes by on the assembly line, and to add your quality and craftsmanship to the product. In the case of more money, you would live your day looking for evidence of more money coming to you.
Let’s say you are buying something and the clerk informs you at the checkout that she will be taking an extra 20% the total; picture your prosperity coming before you on that vibrational assembly line. What are you going to do as it goes by? If you say something to yourself that feels like “the Universe is always looking out for me, and is bringing me more money all the time,” it is as if you polished the desire and put gold trim around it. Then off it goes, toward some finished product you will see shortly. But your job is done until you see the next piece of evidence of your prosperity. Look for it, and you will see it again. Add another detail of vibrational quality as it comes by again.
If you decide instead to say something to yourself that feels like “I shouldn’t be spending this money because I never have enough. Another 20% off what I don’t have is not good for my prosperity,” then it is like taking a baseball bat and knocking the product right off the assembly line belt as it goes by. Instead, always think about the value you can give the thought, and do your best to make the quality of the thought increase as it travels by on your vibrational conveyor belt. You are not the factory, the Universe is. You are not the conveyor belt, time and space is. You are not in charge of assembling the pieces before they get to you, Law of Attraction is. Do YOUR job today, which is to add craftsmanship and quality to the piece that is before you right now. Relax and let the rest of the work be done by Source Energy. If you do this you will be amazed at the end result: what you want will be in your experience more and more of the time. I think it is actually very freeing to know I don’t need to do it all, and that I have a specific and manageable job. I give thanks, gratitude, and appreciation for my specific job and purpose today. Do your job proudly and joyfully today, and let the pieces come together naturally and with love. Enjoy this most amazing day. Chris-GP

If you really think about it, all we ever have is right now. The past is always past, and the future is the future, and we only ever meet them in the present. Yet how many times do we allow the past or the future to keep us from fully enjoying what is happening right now? I would have to admit that I can be better at this more of the time. Eckhart Tolle’s book “The Power of Now” is a great read about this subject, and he suggests that not being present (or in the now) is a chronic problem in the minds of many people in society today. (See a link to his website under “Other Cool Sites” on the GP sidebar). He recommends that we take some time each day to think about nothing except what is happening right now, and then let your mind be free of both past and future for that time. What we discover is that this can be done through meditation, exercise, or any other activity where we focus completely on the present moment to the exclusion of the past and future. What happens is an amazing transformation where your worries evaporate, your vibration raises, and you feel better. Tolle asks his readers: “What problem do you have right now?” Any answer referencing the past or future is revealed as a false problem. He asks again, “What problem do you have right now?” As you realize that you will react in the now if a problem does arise, and that in the moment you will know what to do, then you can accept fully that, indeed, there is really no problem right now.
Once you realize that you have no real problems right now, you can relax into your wellbeing more, and allow yourself to feel better and better. Feeling better is the first step to allowing Source Energy to flow through you, and once you are connected to Source, all good things will flow easily to you. Do your best to live in the Now today. I think singing is a great way to move energy and feel better. I am always humming a tune or singing my favorite song, and I encourage you to do it too. Remember the old song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy?” This is the song I have stuck in my head as I write this. When you are happy, everything you want is flowing to you from the Universe, and is it always being managed amazingly by the Law of Attraction. You have a huge amount of power whenever you can get to a place of feeling good, and a powerful step toward feeling good is feeling grateful. When you acknowledge your gratitude, you drop the resistance you hold toward the world. When you feel glad to be where you are, you ask the Universe to align you with wonderful things. When you hold onto thoughts that uplift the spirit, you find your place in the eternity of the moment. When you expand your list of things that are going well for you, you invite even more prosperity into your experience. Don’t worry, be happy is a good mantra to live by today. But if happy is not in your immediate vibrational range, simply count your blessings and wait for the floodgates of happiness to be right behind the gratitude. In fact, if gratitude could be your baseline for the way you feel, bliss would be your experience even more of the time. So don’t worry…be Grateful. Be.Love, Hannya-GP

There are moments when I can’t find joy in what I am doing. When this happens, I try to notice and change something. Most often when this happens, the cause of my emotional state is that I am not living in the present moment. My mind is preoccupied with something I am trying to create, or my thoughts are on some problem that I can’t seem to shake. I then realize that I am like a prisoner to my own thoughts, and that these thoughts are keeping me from my joy and connection to the Universe. When this happened recently, I was using my thinking mind to imagine a solution to a problem. Normally, this is a good thing…to become one with the vibration of a solution. But by not being present in the moment, I was practicing the vibration of feeling limited, unable to break free of the problem. So how did I break free? Here’s how…
I thought about what I wanted achieve through solving the problem, and I summed it all up in a single word: Freedom. I wanted a solution so that I could feel more freedom in every part of my vibration. So instead of spending my energy and focus trying to solve the “issue,” I instead turned my inner focus to the feeling of freedom. I started by letting go of having to be in control of the problem, and I just began to breathe and allow my thoughts to settle. I relaxed my face and jaw, and imagined myself in complete freedom. I was free to be, do, or have anything I could imagine, and I was unlimited by people or circumstances. I was free from my past and unlimited by my future. I came to realize that the only thing I really wanted was the feeling of freedom, and in a relatively short amount of time I was able to experience a feeling of freedom. What a joy to realize that the feeling of freedom was available to me even before I solved my “problem.” In fact, now the problem seemed almost insignificant to the joy I was feeling amidst my new-found inner freedom. If I can do it, so can you!
If there is something you want, ask yourself why you want it. How will you feel when you get it? Can you break free and start feeling that way right now? If so, you have access to the end goal in this moment, and you also have a way to help the Law of Attraction manifest the actual solution. By aligning with the feeling of having achieved something first, you are suddenly a powerful match to the new condition. If you are a match to the feeling of the solution, it must flood into your reality as a “real” experience. If you want more money, reach for feelings of abundance and prosperity. If you want a new love in your life, feel love for yourself and others right now. If you want better health, try to reach for thoughts that feel like wellness. You always get more of what you focus upon, and the end goal you are reaching for can almost always be expressed in an emotion or feeling that you have access to right NOW! What do you need to change to feel totally free in this moment? You don’t have to change your circumstances…but you do need to change your focus. Try it, and may you feel better and better. I was at dinner with a friend the other night, and the waiter took our drink order and disappeared. My friend immediately seemed preoccupied with where he went. She wondered if he would get the order right. We kept talking and before we knew it, he was back with exactly what we had ordered. After we gave our entree order, the same events unfolded, including my friend’s worry about if he would get it all right. This time she talked about her concern for his competence, and how she expected him to screw up the order. Of course, I took this as my unique opportunity to talk about perception, expectations, and Law of Attraction.
My friend was expecting something to go wrong, and she was looking for evidence of the mistakes before they even happened. I explained that the Universe hears your expectations, and through Law of Attraction brings you a version of what you expect. She thought that it didn’t mater what she expected, and that she would rather be surprised by things going better than she expected, and not disappointed by expecting too much. I understand this logic because I used to do the same thing. Now that I understand how we attract things, people, and events to us through our vibration, I don’t play the low expectations game anymore. Now I expect things to go well for me, and events in my life tend to match (or exceed) my expectations most of the time…and I expect a lot!
Worrying about your life is like worrying about your waiter. You ask for something, and then your job is to relax and let it come to you. Sometimes you might draw a really weird or unprofessional waiter, but the Law of Attraction will NEVER act like a crazy waiter. It will bring you what you ask for through your average vibration every time, 100% accurate and consistent. You never need to worry about Law of Attraction in terms of its ability to deliver the goods. On the other hand, a good waiter will occasionally give you what he thinks you want to show you what is possible. Law of Attraction won’t do that, ever. You ask, it delivers…period.
Relax and enjoy the fact that you get consistent results from your universal wellness order. If you are asking for wellbeing, expect it to be delivered very soon. If you want prosperity, see it, talk about it, and take actions that support it. Expect it to come to you very soon. Be irrationally optimistic. Anything you want is possible.
