Lately I have been becoming more and more aware of the power of contrast to create desire. Normally, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on my life, and I feel like I live in ease and flow much of the time. But lately I have had some gifts from the Universe that reminded me that there is more expansion waiting for me at all times. These gifts came in the form of contrast: events that made me want something more than ever through the experience of not having it. You see, when you can’t have something you want, then you want it even more. The experience of wanting it and not having it has forced me to think about it quite a bit, and I can feel a new perspective brewing inside my consciousness by the minute. I know that my attention to the subject has caused me to expand, and I am grateful for this expansion.

You can probably think of something that you wanted and couldn’t seem to get: better health, a great job, a spouse, more money, a new car, clarity, or whatever…your awareness of not having it struck a chord in your vibration, and you probably became uncomfortable or irritated in the acute awareness of the absence of the thing or condition you desired. But through this uncomfortable feeling, you were given the gift to focus on a solution, and the solution was made possible by this brief but uncomfortable ride of contrast. The important word in that last sentence is brief, because it is so important to remember that nothing is permanent.

Life on planet Earth is just a temporary and constantly changing experience, aided by Law of Attraction. Our purpose is to be joyful creators. Our natural state is to be connected to Source Energy, and our desire is to be happy and expanding. We never get “there” because there is no “there” to get to. Once you get “there” you get yet another new perspective that calls you forward. In reality, there is only NOW: one ever-changing, ever-expanding version of YOU that exists, and that will always exist in some vibrational expression. Why then, do we get so caught up in worry about where we have been, where we are, and where we are going?

When contrast becomes my experience, I first just feel the emotion. I let it run through me as anger, irritation, fear, or what ever it feels like. Then I remember that nothing is permanent, and that I can count on the feelings passing and changing to different feelings. I can bank on the fact that whatever bliss or contrast I feel right now is but a slice of where I’ve been and where I am heading. It is simply the experience I am having right now, and a new NOW will always come to re-seed my vibration in a different way. This is how I relax and remember to give thanks and appreciation for whatever I am experiencing, even when it doesn’t feel great. I remind my self that “this too shall pass” and I let myself reach for the best thought I have access to.

Whatever you are living right now, it will pass and be replaced by another feeling and experience shortly. So why not live fully in this moment? Why not expand and be all that you can be, even if you feel a little uncomfortable? Why not let yourself relax into more wellbeing? Nothing is permanent, so live fully right now! Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP

You bet Marie. We all need a reminder once and a while. I embrace the contrast because I know what is on the way after the expansion. Have a great day! Chris

It is so easy to get stuck in the negative emotions. Thanks for the reminder that contrast is just the spring board that propels us to the next thing that we are asking for!!

This is an awesome way to view contrast!
I have a similar saying as yours about contrast. It says in scripture, that “it came to pass”, not “it came to stay.” Be well, Chris.
