To be grateful means that you are appreciative of the circumstances in your experience. It means that you give thanks for gifts in your life, and that you approve of your present moment in very specific ways. Being grateful is a key step to setting yourself free from whatever bondage you find yourself in. Most people live within their self-imposed limits in terms of what they think, how they feel, and the actions that they let themselves take. Remember that the Law of Attraction brings you more of what you give your attention to. Practicing an Attitude of Gratitude helps you relax into the flow of your life by letting go of your self-imposed resistance by using a habit of positive thinking. Through your gratitude and appreciation, you see evidence in your experience of things working out for you. You feel the pride of good news in your life. You take action in a secure knowing that things can go your way, and probably will work out for you in a positive way. As you practice and perfect your ability to be grateful for both big and small gifts in your life, you will be able to let go of worry more often, and you will be more open to receiving the full connection of Source Energy into your experience. Through your connection to Source, you will find true freedom. You will feel that anything is possible for you, and that your past limitations were entirely self-imposed through your past perceptions. Start listing what you are grateful for each day, and keep adding to the list. If it is hard to think of many things, keep trying. The more you do it, the easier it gets. On my desk at work I used to have two file holders that were displayed prominently. One said “To Do Tomorrow,” and the other said “To Avoid Doing All Together.” My intention was to be humorous, and most people took it that way. Because I am my own boss, no one could tell me to take it off the desk…and I liked the idea of being able to put something in a perpetual holding pattern until I was ready to deal with it. But this funny story also illustrates a few things about Law of Attraction, connection to Source, and general happiness in your life. We all have things that we file in a vibrational “to do tomorrow” file, and today is a good day to look and see what you have put in there so far.
Law of Attraction works all day every day to match your average vibration with similar thoughts, events, circumstances, and miracles that expand your idea of what already is. Law of Attraction does not give you new material to work with, but rather it adds to what you have presently. Like attracts like. The only way to change your present reality is to expand your idea of what already is, and to practice thinking, feeling, and acting in new vibrational patterns. In essence, you have to live your desires today, and feel as if you already have the new circumstance you desire. For example, if you want a new intimate relationship, you would do well to spend time in the present savoring how wonderful this relationship already is, enjoying how you feel in the new relationship, and letting yourself bliss out about it right now. If you try, you can “trick yourself” into enjoying the relationship even before it appears! And once you learn this technique: to appreciate, love, and enjoy things before they manifest…you will change your life into a magical expression of bliss, allowing, and connection. You see, once you think you have something, to the point of being grateful and appreciative for it NOW, it will be matched and intensified by Law of Attraction, and your experience will expand to include more of it. Like attracts like.
So when you file something you want in your mental “to do tomorrow” file, you tell Law of Attraction that you don’t want it today. You speak through your vibration by affirming that everything you want is coming in the future. But, of course, tomorrow never comes. Tomorrow becomes now, and next week becomes now, and next year becomes now, and unless you change your vibrational “to do tomorrow” file to read “already completed,” you will never see evidence of the things you want. What do you think about and yearn for as a future event, circumstance, or manifestation? Just finish this sentence: “Someday I will…” and you will have your list. You may say “Someday I will lose weight, have more money, have a lover, be healthy, and have a meaningful job.” None of these can ever come to you today, and tomorrow never comes either. You have to refile these into a vibration of being here right now. You have to feel the joy you would feel if they were here now. You just have to be a match to having them already. It’s not as hard as it may seem, and your imagination is your friend. Be child-like and enjoy pretending more. Talk like the things are already real. Savor having it all right now, then see your life change in 30 days or less. I am not kidding when I say you can attract anything you want, but you have to get out of the way and stop putting things in your “future file.” Are you ready to enjoy yourself today, knowing fully that it’s yours already? In my latest post, I promised to contribute a list of tips that I use to fill my emotional/vibrational gas tank. Here they are, and I look forward to hearing any others that you might have as well. Remember that your feelings and emotions tell you everything you need to know about your connection to Source. When you feel good, you are attracting things you want though the Law of Attraction. When you feel disconnected, you are not allowing your desires to flow to you. But you have to feel all your feelings and not deny them. You have to reach for relief from how you feel by making the best of it, and by reaching for thoughts that feel better. Here are ways I do this every day:
- I stop, relax, and close my eyes for a few minutes while taking deep , cleansing breaths.
- I think about my dogs who are cute, adorable, and connected always to Source.
- I think about my amazing job, and the people I get to work with who are awesome.
- I eat foods that feed my body with nutrients and natural energy.
- I talk about my life in ways that feel good. I tell others how good things are, but in ways that feel true.
- I read the “Good News” section of Gratitude Planet.
- I call friends who I know love me and will join me in my joy.
- I take a nap. I love naps.
- I meditate for 10-15 minutes.
- I take a long walk and give thanks for all the gifts in my life.

Isn’t it a little disconnecting to listen to the news? It seems like it is next to impossible to listen to an hourly update on National Public Radio without news of death and gloom happening somewhere in the world. The problem with this is, of course, that you can’t give your attention to something unwanted without including it in your vibration. Anything you look at, observe, associate with, or perceive in any way becomes part of your personal vibration…the same vibration that you send out to the Universe asking for more of the same. Remember that the Law of Attraction is always working perfectly to line you up with more of what you are offering in every moment. So what ever you include in your perception, you get more of over time. Everyone gets to choose what they give their attention to, so we advise you to choose only things that feel good when you think them…and literally ignore the rest. You may ask, “but what if I end up living under a rock, not knowing what is going on in the world?” And we say, if you feel good under the rock, blissfully unaware, through your connection you will attract many good things to you. And you may still worry “how can I function without the news and without knowing about the world around me?” It’s doesn’t need to be an “either/or” question. I suggests the following: Make your own news! Sift through the news looking for things that make you feel good while reading about them. For example, if the unemployment rate goes to 10%, think about the fact that nine out of ten people still have a job, and that things for the others will get better very soon. That feels better than focusing on the part of the story that feels bad when you read it. In fact, there may be only 10% bad news going on in the world right now. Just because the media scrapes up these bad stories and gives them 90% of the air time does NOT mean you need to give it 100% of your attention. What is the good news for you today? I can think of ten bits of good news in my life this morning:
1. I slept well last night
2. Loved breakfast today
3. Enjoyed a conversation with a friend last night
4. Found something I thought I lost
5. Fixed my internet connection
6. Digested my food efficiently
7. Had a good chance to do yoga and meditate this morning
8. Saw many smiling faces on my morning walk
9. Attended a great concert last night
10. Met some new friends that have common interests with me lest night
Are these stories of good news? You bet! Why give your attention to a small amount of bad news that is blown all out of proportion? Try giving your full attention to the 90% of the news that is closer, more real to you, and that feels good right now. You’ll be glad you did, and quickly you will feel good, connected to the world, and ready to receive all that you are asking for. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

Gratitude Planet is dedicated to helping you feel better every day. Feeling better simply means moving up the Emotional Scale and finding the best thought that you have access to. But some people say that feeling grateful implies a feeling of relief from something that almost happened that was uncomfortable. Something like, “I am grateful that that car behind me didn’t hit me when I slammed on my brakes.” While this might be true, the word “gratitude” by itself does not need to imply a state just missing some sort of disappointment. What really matters is how you feel when you declare what you are grateful for. Some people use the word appreciation instead of gratitude when they make their positive statements, but either word can work. It’s up to you. In reality, a word is just made up of symbols that attempt to convey, in this case, a feeling or a vibration. It is the vibration that matters the most. The key is connecting to what you are feeling. So in your gratitude, color it with a good dose of appreciation, and connect to the best feeling you can find. How you feel is always the best indicator of your Point of Attraction, and gratitude and appreciation are always close to your Vortex, the place where you are completely connected to Source Energy and allowing all good things to flow to you. When you think about Law of Attraction, it is always best to think about how allowing works. Allowing is the key to letting the things you want come to you in a magical way. You see, you don’t always have to try so hard to think about the things you want. If you have a desire for something, the Universe has heard your wanting, and agrees with you that you should have it. It is ready to deliver it to you, as long as you don’t get in the way. How could you get in the way, you ask? One way would be to keep asking for it over and over again. But that doesn’t seem quite right, does it? You would think that as I keep asking, it might come faster…like bugging a waiter for a glass of water. But the thing is, when you ask it is always from the standpoint of knowing you don’t have it. You don’t ask for water if you already have it. You only think to ask when you know it isn’t there, and Law of Attraction matches you every time. Asking for something just reinforces what IS, but asking is an important first step to the creative process. So once you have asked, it is time to allow.
Allowing is easy to understand, and not that hard to do when you pay attention. Allowing is simply letting in your well being. It requires you to stay out of your own way by not contradicting your own desires. In fact, allowing is a natural state of enjoying your life. When you relax and pet your cat, or pause to take in the beauty of an art work or sunset, you are in a state of allowing. The opposite of allowing is resistance. Resistance is NOT a flow of negative energy. It is a SLOWING of the life force that is natural to you. Hear that clearly: you allow your wellbeing, or you resist it. There is no assertion of “not-wellbeing.” Bad stuff can’t get you when you are looking away. You are either letting in wellness, prosperity, health and love, or you are pinching it off a little. It’s nice to know that you get to choose to allow or resist the flow of wellbeing, isn’t it? How can you maximize your allowing? By NOT resisting. If you meditate, you stop thought, and therefore you stop any resistant thought, and your stream of allowing increases. When you feel good you increase allowing. When you let go of the struggle, you increase allowing. When you share gratitude and appreciation, you increase your allowing. When you give compliments to others, or make the best of any situation, you increase your allowing. Any time you think the same vibrational thought as your Source does, you really ramp up your allowing. It’s really pretty cool.
Today, just feel for your wellbeing by relaxing into it even more. Don’t go on crusades to fix things that aren’t yours to fix, or feel the need to be right in every situation. Let people do their thing, while you do your thing. Love and appreciate, but stop trying to make things happen…instead, allow things to happen. Breathe deeply, visualize joyfully, and expand into your deepest allowing. Watch the things you want materialize without your conscious need to struggle. Let the magic of Law of Attraction work in your favor to expand your life into more bliss and connection. Be.Love today, Hannya-GP

As you are practicing being a deliberate creator of your life, it is so important to be choosy about what you give your attention to. Your focus of thinking, feeling, and acting is what creates your point of attraction…and point of attraction is like a telegram you deliver to Law of Attraction asking the Universe to match you with more of the same. This makes sense when you think of your point of attraction in terms of an average vibration. If you take any measure 100 times, you will begin to approach a reliable average for that particular measurement. For example, if you randomly measure the heights of 100 people in a large room full of 500 people, and then add the heights and divide the sum by 100, you will have a good average measurement for the height of all people in the room. Of course, your reliability gets better when you measure more and more people. One hundred gives you a good start at estimating the average, and five hundred obviously determines the exact average. Your point of attraction, then, is your exact vibrational average over time…and as I said, it is what Source Energy sends you more of through the Law of Attraction. This is why people get frustrated with deliberate creation sometimes, and this frustration makes complete sense when you dig just a little deeper.
When you compute an average, you are taking into account every measure collected so that you can have a single number to report. But within the 100 height measurements described above, there will still be some rather tall people and some rather short people. This becomes clearer when you think of the extremes in this example. If I measured only two people in a room, and there were only two people there, I could still compute the average height for the room. Let’s say one person is seven feet tall and the other is four feet tall. The equation is ((7+4)/2)=5.5. So the average height in this room with two people is 5.5 feet. But no one in the room is actually that height! An average, in this case, doesn’t describe anyone in the room specifically at all in terms of height. Yet that is what an average is…the measure that crunches all the numbers to get a single measure in the middle.
When you think, feel, and act, you are creating vibrational measures that are sent to the Universe. But the Universe has the ability to collect every one of these measures to compute your vibrational average. The Universe never just sifts through to take a sample. In other words, you are constantly sending vibrational measurements when you think, feel, and act, each day, every day, in every second of every moment. Your average vibration might be made up of some really good-feeling moments, as well as some very disconnected moments, as well as a bunch of “in between” moments. This is why what you get sometimes seems to be different than what you thought you were asking for. If you have a car accident, it’s not because you thought the words “car accident.” Rather, your vibrational average was matched by Law of Attraction to bring you the experience of “car accident.” An unpleasant manifestation will always have some very disconnected moments preceding it to bring down the vibrational average over time. Likewise, pleasant manifestations will be preceded by enough connected moments that drive up the average as well. What you think and feel (on average) is always, always, always a match to what you get, period.
Because you are asking all day, every day, it makes sense to give your focus and attention only to things that drive up your vibrational average over time. As a spirit having a human experience, there will always be some moments of contrast and disconnection…and that’s OK! Remember that a tall person and a short person equal an average-height person, so being really disconnected or really connected some of the time won’t bring you either extreme as an average vibration. It is your job (and this is your only job) to raise your vibrational average. When you do, your get more prosperity, wealth, wellness, health, joy, gratitude, bliss, and abundance. Today, make every moment an opportunity to raise your vibrational average by being grateful for what you already have. Give thanks for the people you interact with, and feel appreciation for the way the day unfolds before you. Know that this moment, and every moment, is the Earth-bound, human reflection of your vibrational average up to this point, and that you are always adding to the bottom line. Your vibrational average will always equal your point of attraction! Relax and enjoy the process. Your job is simply to make the best of it, and then to enjoy the miracle of the Universe and Law of Attraction as you get more and more of the life you want. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

There are so many ways to enjoy this life, and joy, expansion, and freedom are what we all are wanting to experience. Don’t you agree? We want things…cars, relationships, health, wellness, prosperity…because we think that in having these things we will feel better. So our goal in creating deliberately using the Law of Attraction isn’t about getting stuff, but rather it’s about feeling better. It’s a catch 22 here. You can’t postpone feeling better, or Law of Attraction will line you up with more of the stuff you feel bad about. But if you choose to feel better before you get the stuff, then why do you really want the stuff? “Getting the stuff isn’t as thrilling when I already feel good about it today,” you might say. And this is the paradox of deliberate creation: your goal is not stuff, your goal is joy. And through your joy, you can, and will, have your stuff. It’s simple to understand, but more challenging to put into daily practice. Today is the perfect time to start, if you haven’t already been doing this.
A key to deliberate creation in your life is the word “allowing.” Allowing is a practice where you let go of the struggle and relax into your well-being. It is a state where you take your hand off the hot stove. It is a mind-frame where you turn and go with the current of the vibrational stream. It is the ability to expand into joy, and to maximize your connection to Source Energy. Allowing is the opposite of resisting, and I recommend you always focus on increasing something you want, rather than stopping something unwanted. So these tips are not about stopping resistance, but rather about increasing your allowing. Enjoy these ideas for upping your allowing, and then go out and enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP
- Notice your breath. If there are any traces of inhibition of free flow, acknowledge it, and then allow these blocks to dissipate. Feel your breath flowing easily and fully in and out of your lungs. Be natural about it, and enjoy the feeling of letting it expand you in all directions. If you can, close your eyes while you do this.
- Notice you body. Do you have any places where you hold tension? Is your neck pain-free? Are your hips, joints, and muscles limber and free to move naturally? Find one place to focus upon, and then imagine love and white light bathing the area. Flow your breath freely, and affirm that you are consciously allowing energy to flow freely in the area. Picture the area relaxing and expanding. See any pain melting into freedom. Give thanks and gratitude, and then feel for another area, if one exists.
- Notice your thoughts. Do you have thoughts that hit an emotional dead end? Are there habits of thinking that don’t feel good while you think them? Do you worry about certain topics, or feel fear around certain ideas? If so, you can up your allowing by either redirecting your attention to another topic, or by making the best of the thought you are thinking while you are thinking it. Like your muscles, thoughts can cause pain. But if you notice the pain, and then imagine the thought evaporating…to be replaced with a better-feeling version…you will now have more freedom and joy in your thinking. Don’t push against the thought, or try “not to think” it. Just find a new thought, even if it feels “less real” at this point. “Reality” is merely the most practiced version of the “truth.” Let your vibrational “truth” reflect your desire to be connected, joyful, and happy.
- Notice your giving and receiving. Are you giving and receiving in a balanced way? Too much of either can cause a painful imbalance in your vibration. If you feel a need to give, tip more, volunteer your time, or donate to a good cause that you believe in. Smile more, and give more compliments to others. If you feel a need to receive more, than take opportunities to receive with a sacred and grateful intention. This can be through receiving a massage, a letter, a compliment, or through receiving something with monetary value. Give thanks, and then allow the gift to fill you with gratitude. Affirm that you are worthy and open to receiving well-being. Allow this balance of energy to keep you grounded and focused.
- Notice how much you love and appreciate. To be joyful and allowing, you must be connected to your loving source. What do you love? How do you express your love to others? Can you extend your full love inward toward yourself? Can you appreciate the world as it is, and can you find reasons to expand your love without needing to change others? When you can love everything, even when everything appears not to be loving you back, you have found the secret to loving. To get love, you have to be in love…with everything. If love is your vibrational focus, then the Law of Attraction MUST being you more of the same. Up your allowing by loving fully and completely, and then let the Universe expand you in your joy!

As Valentine’s Day is upon us, I would like to pause to say a few words about love and The Law of Attraction. We know that the Law of Attraction is a powerful law of the Universe that governs how energy is attracted to similar energy. It is a vibrational law that helps you decipher your role in creating your life. Law of Attraction never lines you up with people and events that are very different than your average personal vibration, so there is never any danger of things being “asserted” into your experience. In other words, your vibration, based on your thoughts, feelings, and actions, is what invites the Law of Attraction to magnify your present experience. In fact, I like the image of a magnifying glass here. You never expect a magnifying glass to make an image different, but only bigger. Law of Attraction does the same as you offer a vibration…it makes where ever you are and what ever you have been thinking about bigger, more real, and part of your daily “reality.” You can’t blame a magnifying glass for giving more detail and information when you look through it, and likewise, there is no blame for the Law of Attraction when it matches your vibration and sends you more of the same. You get to choose what comes to you, especially when you learn to use the Law of Attraction deliberately and with conscious intent. So how does this all relate to the topic of Love?
Love, like all feelings, emotions and vibrational offerings, is experienced strongly sometimes, and less strongly other times. It feels great to “be in love,” and everyone enjoys the experience of having their heart completely open and free. Yet it is also true that you can’t always feel the powerful intoxication of love at all times. As spiritual beings having a human experience, there will always be times when we move down the vibrational scale for one reason or another. Our connection to Source Energy will come and go. But if your greater intention is to be connected, and if your desire is to feel good, you will be more likely to pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and actions in relation to what you are getting in your life as it unfolds. Your experience of love will match your overall average practice of self love and loving thoughts every day. Simply put, if you want more love in your life, you have to love more. Love whom, you might ask?
The Law of Attraction matches you with your present vibration. Love NOW to have more love later. Don’t wait for love to come to you. In any moment you can start making lists of the things you love about yourself. Decide to appreciate YOU for the amazing person you are right now. Ignore your critical thoughts by replacing them with thoughts that feel honest, but good. Law of Attraction will hear these thoughts just as loudly as any other thoughts, and will begin sending you thoughts, feelings, and experiences that match it. The better you feel, the better it gets, and the momentum will build and build. Choose love, be love, feel love…and love MUST be your experience. If you find it hard to love YOU, but find it easy to love others, then spend time appreciating others…but then turn back to YOU and do your best to magnify that experience too. Love your pets, and the environment, and the people in your neighborhood, and the people in the cars you see as you drive to work, and the clouds in the sky, and on and on. Once you choose to love yourself, and the things you encounter every day, you will set up a powerful vortex of magnified love that will flow to you unbounded by anything. You will experience more and more love coming to you “from outside yourself.” Law of Attraction will be your tool for love’s expression in your life more and more often. You will be creating the most amazing life you could ask for, and everything you have been wanting (so far) will flow into your life as easily as your breath flows to you in this moment. With Valentines Day coming this weekend, everyone is thinking, feeling, and talking about how the energy of love moves in and out of their life. I want to offer some loving statements for you to ponder. I am ready to let more love and joy into my life, and I know you probably feel the same. Here are my statements for love and Valentine’s Day!
- Love flows to me, through me, and all around me always!
- People love me always, even if they struggle to show it in ways I can see. I accept their love completely.
- Love from Source Energy is never ending, all powerful, and only limited by my ability to relax and allow it. Therefore, I am in love always!
- I love me. I may not always please me, or anyone for that matter, but I always love me.
- My actions, thoughts, and feelings are in direct expression to my knowing that all is well, and that Love is why we are here. I live in love and joy!
- My Inner Being loves me in every moment. I choose to think more and more like my Inner Being. I see and believe in the love flowing to me always!
- I choose to share my loving connection with others. I love without condition, and I accept the reactions I get from this giving. It maters not how I am received…I give either way.
- I relax, I allow, and I receive love from Planet Earth. I know that all systems are functioning to keep us alive, healthy, and thriving. I give gratitude and appreciation for the planet we travel through space upon, and I love it in all its aspects.
- I love all the lovers I have ever had, and will ever have, both in this life, in past lives, and in future lives. Thank you for all the love, insights, connected moments, and deep expressions I have been blessed to share with you.
- I love. Period.

I came to a great realization recently. I realized that you can’t make a thought stop. If you try to stop thinking about something, you only think about it more. So I made a pledge to redirect my thinking instead. Here are three times I did this during this past week:
- My mother called. I was in a rush. I felt mad that she caught me at a bad time. I seemed irritated, and she could tell. I could tell. Then, I decided to think about how much she means to me. I redirected and thought about what a gift it is that she is still alive and aware of her surroundings. I thought about how lucky I am to have her. I felt better. I felt grateful. The conversation went better. I was on time after all to where I was going.
- I was on hold with the phone company trying to sort out a charge on my monthly bill. I held for a while, got a nice person, had it almost resolved when…the call was dropped, and I couldn’t call the agent back. (Irony abounds, eh?) I had to go through the whole process AGAIN! I was ready to take it out on the next person (who didn’t know me or my story at all), but instead, I redirected my thoughts. I “made up” a story about this person, and it went something like this: This person loves their job. They will enjoy helping me. They didn’t cause the dropped call. They will be able to solve this easily. I will enjoy interacting with this agent. And that is EXACTLY what happened. No dropped call either.
- I was driving to work and found myself in bumper-to-bumper traffic. “EEEEK!” I knew i would be really late at the rate the traffic was moving. “Damn it,” I thought. “This sucks! Why ME?” Then I redirected. I told THIS story: Maybe this delay is setting me up to run into events and circumstances that will help me today. Maybe I avoided an accident myself by slowing here. I will be in perfect timing today. I can’t be late, because I am perfectly aligned with people and events. This is just part of the perfection. In the five minutes that I redirected my thoughts, the traffic started moving and I was on my way..and NOT late for work. Gratitude and appreciation flowed.
OK, you might say, thinking didn’t change those circumstances. You just felt better in those circumstances. And I say, look, Law of Attraction either is real, or it isn’t. If it’s real, then how I feel matters a lot! If it isn’t real, I just got lucky. I can’t prove it to you, but you can prove it to yourself. Try redirecting and see if you have fewer bad endings and more good endings to your daily segments. I swear that when I redirect, things work out almost every time. Sometimes I wonder if being a celebrity is really as much fun as it seems to be. Living a life in the spotlight must have some exciting moments, and I am sure that high-profile people have a sharp sense of the leading edge of thought, for better or for worse. The joy and contrast that famous people encounter, however, is probably not exceedingly different than anyone else’s experience. We have seen a new wave of celebrity scandals lately, from former Presidential candidate John Edwards to golf legend Tiger Woods (as well as many others). No one is perfect, and no one ever will be. Each person has their own challenges and desires, and it can’t be easy to have millions of people watching you at all times, ready to blame you for your imperfect journey on planet Earth. I rarely give these stories my attention because I am not interested in including them in my vibration, and hence, into my experience. But there are two stories I will mention briefly today to make a point…that there is never a mistake concerning the Law of Attraction because what you get is always a match to your vibrational offering…always, with no exceptions.
I was reading another Law of Attraction blog (’cause I always like to read about and meet new people who are deliberate creators), and I read that Dr. Wayne Dyer had been diagnosed with some sort of cancer. My thoughts became confused for a moment, and then I asked “but how could someone like Wayne Dyer, who seems to have his act together so well, attract cancer? What went wrong?” The answer is, of course, that nothing “went wrong.” Knowing about Law of Attraction doesn’t make someone live in a thought bubble and immune to their own habits of thought. You are a spiritual being having a human experience on this planet, so you will have experiences now and again that feel like contrast. It’s part of the deal. That doesn’t mean that you can’t help others with insights that you have gained through your studies and experiences, and your imperfection shouldn’t stop you from adding as much value as you can to this world. The quote I read that was ascribed to Wayne felt very connected, and he seemed to be in a very allowing frame of mind about his diagnosis. This made me think about how we can’t stop contrast from coming into our lives (nor would we want to do this), but that we have ultimate power to decide how we focus our energy after the manifestation. A contrasting experience always opens up a strong desire for something better, and embracing the new desire is our number one job. That is what I felt from reading Wayne Dyer’s words about his condition. He is turning toward wellness with a new and energized focus. Because the manifestation was not an accident, but rather a culmination of energy flow (or energy blockage), he has a gift-like opportunity to examine how it all came to be. Turning to wellness will help him allow even more wellness. It works this way for everyone, famous or only locally famous.
So what if you are a deliberate creator and you create what can only be described as a total CRAP storm? In this reference I am talking about author and entrepreneur James Arthur Ray. You may remember James as one of the featured speakers in the movie “The Secret.” James did very well creating his own brand name associated with the Law of Attraction, and still has a loyal following who can separate the messenger from the message. He now also has some fierce detractors. He has been arrested for negligent homicide for a tragic incident that left three people dead during one of his retreats. This has caused quite a buzz in the LOA blogosphere, because he is a very visible person who has appeared on programs like Oprah in the name of Law of Attraction. It seems easier to blame James for his woes because he is a motivational speaker, and he makes a living calling others out on their blind spots and weaknesses. It seems like he should have seen this coming, and should have adjusted his thinking accordingly. But he, too, is only human and lives by the same Universal laws we all live with. He obviously didn’t predict the outcome here, and I believe there was no intent to kill anyone. But still, he attracted a XXXL-sized dose of contrast, and it is up to him to find the meaning behind the experience, and adjust accordingly. The Southern California staff from Gratitude Planet went together to see James speak this past fall, and we all had a funny feeling intuitively that we all shared after the seminar over drinks. We all felt an unease about his vibration, as if he was working really, really hard (too hard) to sell us his products. The word “allowing” didn’t make a whole lot of sense compared to the energy we felt that night from the stage. After the talk, he disappeared from the room without chatting with anyone, shaking hands, or answering questions. We were very confused…we wanted to believe he was perfect and living his message. I fully believe in his message, even if the messenger is struggling to hold it all together. When I heard that he attracted the mess he did, I can’t say I was surprised. We felt he was carrying and practicing a vibration that kept him from feeling free…and one that kept us from feeling his free and true self…and now he has manifested another challenge to his freedom, that of potential incarceration.
Interestingly, I read that Wayne Dyer is often the last person standing in a room where he gives a talk. He chats, listens, and gives freely of his time and energy for the people who are interested in his message. These two men, James and Wayne, have had two literally contrasting experiences…and each will continue to attract based on their most practiced vibration. Again, you can’t avoid things going “wrong” for you, but you CAN do your best to live your highest version of YOU. Be grateful, give freely, relax, and let your life be joyful as much as possible. Be appreciative for the famous people who help us learn about ourselves in public, so that we can be our imperfect selves in private. Send love to others, even when they fall short of your expectations. Let people chose what they will, and choose for yourself as well as you can. There is a perfect unfolding in the Universe, and we have an opportunity to align with it if we choose to…not for the sake of perfection, but for the sake of JOY! There are no mistakes. My first post on optimism was called “Optimism is a Choice” and can be read by clicking HERE if you haven’t already digested it. Optimism is one of the emotional range levels on the Vibrational/Emotional Scale, somewhere above the feelings of “hopefulness and contentment.” When you are in optimism you are in the vibrational flow of the Universe enough that the Law of Attraction can bring you evidence of the positive changes you have asked for in your experience. Optimism aligns you with allowing, and it is the gateway to the more powerful emotions of allowing such as Gratitude, Positive Expectation, Belief, Enthusiasm, Eagerness, Happiness, Passion, Joy, Knowledge, Empowerment, Freedom, Love, Bliss, and Appreciation. It is the “gate keeper” to the Vortex, where the Law of Attraction “assembles all cooperative relationships.” Reach for optimism, and you reach for your connection to Source Energy and your inspiration to action as communicated through your inner being. But how do you become an optimistic person? You simply practice doing it until it becomes a habit. Here are several tips to practice being optimistic today:
- Remember that few things on planet Earth are 100% sure. In any scientific study, or poll of people, you will have a split of opinions and findings, and a margin of error. For example, if a large percentage of people believe that they will get the flu this year, there are also some people that believe that they will NOT come down with the flu. This will play out in “reality” and some will and some won’t get the flu. Even if 90% of people get the flu, you can affirm at any time that you will be one of those people who will remain completely healthy. TIP SUMMARY: No one, not even a majority of people, can force me to believe anything that I do not choose to believe.
- You can always use your power of focus to direct your thoughts toward what you want at all times. Use affirming statements when you are driving, exercising, or drifting off to sleep. Some of my favorites are “I always find a parking space,” and “I have perfect timing in all things,” and “I always have enough to be happy,” and “Today is going to be a great day,” and “Things always work out for me,” and “I expect to see and draw to me happy and connected people today,” and “My dreams tonight will be fun, exciting, and inspiring.” TIP SUMMARY: You are in complete control of the thoughts you choose to think, and you can use affirmations to help you make optimism a habitual vibrational offering.
- You can help others see potential positive aspects in things. When you are listening to someone talk, you can find the best in what they are saying and reinforce it back to them. You can say “What I hear you saying is that your perfect job is on the way, and that you will be in the right place at the right time when your perfect job opens up. That’s awesome!” Even if they didn’t say it to you with those exact words, it is uplifting to decide to take their words with an optimistic slant. There are other times where you will have to insert an optimistic phrase in an otherwise pessimistic conversation. Be careful not to be annoying, but also let them know that you see it a little differently. You might say “ya, jobs are hard to find, so I understand your frustration. But I know you will get a great job soon. People thrive in all times, and I see you thriving in my mind’s eye. All is well.” You should feel a little softening in their resistance if your words are phrased carefully. TIP SUMMARY: You can practice your optimism every time you are face-to-face with others.
I love knowing that I can be one of the growing number of people that choose to see the world as opening, evolving, growing, connecting, loving, and allowing. I am elated that I get to choose if I connect or disconnect through my thinking. I am grateful that my interaction with others can be of great value to others. I so appreciate the times when I can be uplifted by the thinking and words of others. I love turning and giving my attention to things that feel good, and making the best out of the things that feel like contrast. I love striving to see my glass overflowing with wellbeing. I love living the results and manifestations that I am enjoying from thinking optimistically over time. Being grateful helps you focus on the things that feel good in your life. It gives you a reason to say “thank you” and it keeps you in line with Source Energy, your Inner Being, and the good that is coming to you in every moment. - State your gratitude in your mind, to yourself, every time you think to do it. It only takes a second, and it costs nothing…but can pay off big!
- Don’t censor your gratitude. Your worthiness to be grateful is never in question. If you feel grateful, go on and feel it fully.
- Be grateful for the things you might normally take for granted…your breathing, your heart beat, your mind, your thoughts, and anything that comes to mind that always has been there for you. You would miss any of these if they went away suddenly!
- Be grateful for all the things you have accomplished in your life so far. Your journey led you to this moment called NOW. Be thankful for all the good, bad, and the ugly. Give thanks for the joy and the tears. You are you because of the journey you have walked up to this moment.
- Be grateful for the things you haven’t even begun yet. Love the fact that your best days are still unfolding. Be grateful that contrast has created a new YOU that is always evolving. Love the newness of each future moment as it becomes your NOW.
- Give gratitude for your prosperity. No mater how much money, food, clothing, or shelter you have, someone has more than you, and someone has less than you. Love what you have, and know that it is the perfect amount for you in this moment.
- Be grateful for the work you do in the world, even if it isn’t your “real job.” Some people make money, and then go do the work that is really important to them. Others do their “paid gig” as their true life’s work. Either way, give thanks for the contribution you get to make in the world through your unique gifts and talents.
- Be grateful for your spiritual family. Sometimes our spiritual family happens to be genetically related, and sometimes the connection transcends blood and bone. Either way, love the people who feed your soul through their kind ways, generous hearts, and loving friendships.
- Give gratitude for the Earth. This planet is so smart, and it keeps us thriving and living in a giant, airless Universe…spinning and whirling century after century. It has a wisdom and a balance, and we are but travelers on its back. Love the true magic that is planet Earth, and appreciate it by acknowledging its beauty and majesty.
- Receive gratitude that others offer to you. The balance of giving is receiving, and you are to be honored, loved, and appreciated as you also have given of the same. Open to receive grateful thoughts and actions from others. You uplift them by receiving their gifts to you.

I would like to start a series of posts about using optimism to your advantage. Optimism is a key tool in harnessing the full power of the Law of Attraction, and it is nothing more than being picky about the thoughts you choose to think. Each person has a vibrational range, and this range is determined by the average feeling or vibrational content of the thoughts you have been thinking. If you haven’t read the GP post on Using the Emotional Scale, you may want to read it first by clicking HERE. You only have access to thoughts that are close to your vibrational range, so trying to feel optimism when you are feeling doubt is next to impossible to do. But I like optimism as a default “go to” vibration for several reasons. Even if you are in the vibrational range of doubt, your job is to find the best thought that you have vibrational access to. Instead of having to remember what emotional label is above doubt (in this case it is disappointment) I reach for “an optimistic thought” in my range, which might move me into a little higher vibration. I find this easier to do (at least for me) than trying to feel disappointment. I reach for “optimistic doubt” and I land in something that feels better than doubt. From there, I do the same thing again and find some thoughts that could be called “optimistic disappointment,” even if I don’t use that label.
I believe that optimism is especially powerful because it includes a reference to both sides of the issue: the glass is half full, or it is half empty. It helps you choose to focus on the side of the issue that tells a better story. It looks objectively at something and makes the most out of it. It is a launching pad for climbing the emotional scale on any issue. It recognizes the choices you have with two distinct paths, one that leads you closer to where you want to be, and one that leads you away from your desired emotional destination. It is the opposite of delusional; it is grounded and realistic while still being a reach on the vibrational scale. (Incidentally, you can make a good case for the concept of being delusional too, forgetting about “reality” completely and giving thought only to your goal. Many successful people call this “being focused.”)
Do you consider yourself to be an optimist? I know some people that pride themselves on being a self-described “devil’s advocate” and finding the fault in any idea, plan, or brainstorm. They feel that they play an important role in the conversation by bringing everyone down to a realistic level. But they actually do themselves a disservice by lowering their own emotional set point of vibration, which inevitably keeps them feeling worse and worse. The “important role” of pessimist keeps them from manifesting their desires and askings, and their Source will never take a pessimistic view of anything…so they live out of alignment with their own inner being.
Notice today what your thoughts and words feel like. Are they optimistic or pessimistic? Do your thoughts and words lead you to feelings that feel better or feelings that worse? Just notice. If you find that you inject part your day with pessimism, acknowledge that optimism is a choice, just as pessimism is also a choice. Each can be practiced just as easily as the other. In every moment you can choose to see the best, or the worst. You can reach for the best thought you can find, or you can reach for the worst thought you can find. It’s all up to you, and by paying attention you will be empowered to choose more consciously today. I truly believe you will do great things today, and I know you will feel better and better as the day goes on. May you find joy in every moment in this most amazing day! Chris-GP

There are many times when we feel “right” about an issue or topic, and we may feel a need to get others to agree with us about it. But haven’t you noticed that convincing another person to agree with you on something can, at times, be a difficult task. I have come to a point where I like to listen to others express their point of view, and I am honored when they are interested in hearing mine. I have come to accept that we are all different and that we will always have our own unique perception of the world, our place in it, and our goals as human beings. In fact, it is the variety and diversity that keeps the Universe expanding, and it’s what makes being here so exciting and worthwhile. Having agreement on a topic with others can feel really good too, especially when it births new ideas and creative angles to the issue at hand: thought is taken beyond that which it has been before…very cool.
But although it is wise to abandon worry about what others think about your ideas and opinions, it is in your very best interest to get Source Energy to agree with them. But Source is not a person, so how does that work, you ask? Source Energy is a never-ending stream of pure positive energy that can’t be stopped…only resisted. The part of you that exists in pure positive energy is the larger part of who you are. You are a spiritual being having a human experience. So when I refer to Source, I am really referring to YOU as you exist right now in pure positive energy. This larger part of you is communicating with you constantly through your dreams, intuitions, and inspirations. So what you really need to do is get your larger, Source energy-focused part of you to agree with your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Or do you?
Is all YOU, so this seems weird…but instead of trying to get your Source self to agree with you, you are WAY better off getting yourself to agree with Source’s opinion of you. If you have read some of the other GP posts about contrast, and how contrast helps your greater self expand and grow, you know that your Source self has already literally become everything you have wanted to be up to this point. That’s right…everything you have imagined for yourself that you can say right now that you want and have asked for has already manifested for the part of you that is Source Energy. It is the literal expanded version of YOU. That being said, you are best off trying to be in vibrational harmony with your expanded self so that you can allow it all to manifest on planet Earth through the Law of Attraction. But how do you know what Source thinks about you? How can you align with the views and opinions of Source Energy? Here are some of the things we KNOW about Source Energy:
- Source Energy loves you.
- Source Energy knows you are precious.
- Source Energy knows you are worthy.
- Source Energy sees you as the perfect expression of “youness.”
- Source Energy appreciates everything you are, everything you do, and everything you desire.
- Source Energy knows that you are in the perfect place, at the perfect time.
- Source Energy guides you to be the best you can be.
- Source Energy sees the best in others.
- Source Energy never puts you or anyone else down.
- Source Energy feeds your intuition and inspiration and urges you toward what it has already become.
- Source Energy doesn’t doubt you EVER, and uplifts your unique journey.
The list could go on for a very long time. If you don’t agree with Source, or if Source doesn’t agree with you…you will know right away because you will feel bad. But if, on the other hand, you and your Source are of one mind, you will feel joy, inspiration, love, gratitude, appreciation, and many other very connected feelings. When you live in the vibration of Source, you are, as Abraham-Hicks calls it…in the Vortex. The Vortex is the place where you and your Source are in vibrational alignment, and it is the place where all the magic of the Law of Attraction can manifest. Another way to say this is that when YOU and your larger YOU agree through your thoughts, feelings, and actions, you MUST become, right now, the best manifested version of YOU so far. (You know the YOU with great health, money, the relationship, the toys…or whatever you have allowed your Source to become through your vibrational asking.) No one may ever agree with you, but it is your number one job for YOU to agree with your Source! Let that be your goal today, to feel more and more agreement with your Source. Notice how you feel, and may you have a joyous, blissful, connected, loving and most amazing day! Chris-GP

I have been noticing some cool things recently about my own vibration. Everything seems to go in cycles and patterns of connection and contrast. I have been in a cycle of connection recently and I want to share a few moments of gratitude with you. This is my little list of things that have gone well. Maybe you can add to this list too:
- My dreams have felt especially restful and fun.
- I’ve been waking up with the feeling like it must be morning, but instead I have hours of decadent sleep left to enjoy.
- I have been eating well, and I feel light and strong.
- There has been little or no traffic on the freeways in the directions I have needed to travel.
- I have found a parking place on the first try every time at work.
- People seem to be especially cheerful and smiley lately.
- Watching Stephen Cobert made me laugh out loud this morning.
- I had a call for some extra work (unexpected income).
- The copy machine didn’t jam at all this week, and I made a LOT of copies.
- I got all my work done in the time I had to do it. I worked fast, but it all got done in perfect timing.
Can you think of ten things that went well for you recently? I know I could make a top ten things that didn‘t go well recently…but not at this moment. Right now I can’t think of one, which is exactly how I like it to be. Your point of attraction will equal your most practiced thoughts, and I love feeling good. Law of Attraction is bringing me more to match my top 10 list. The more I make lists like this, the more lists like this I will be inspired to make. I am grateful…I am appreciative…I am alive…I am living in Love. Be.Love, Hannya-GP

Hello Everyone! This is my first post for Gratitude Planet. I have been subscribing for a while and decided to write something to share. (You can do this too! See the tool bar for the “Become a GP Contributing Author” for how to do it.) I hope you are all having a great start to your new year. I just want to tell a quick story to show how what you eat can change the way you feel. I have been honoring my New Year resolutions, and so far I have done pretty good. Changing habits can be like changing the direction of an ocean liner because first you have to STOP what you are doing so that you can get a new direction. If you are like me, I had some pretty intense momentum behind the habits I had. None of my resolutions were about eating differently, or losing weight (but we all have our list, right?). And I was changing what I did little by little with some small lapses, like most people who want to make a change in something. Here’s my story…
I was having a great day a few days ago and was on a gig, and then I noticed a huge spread of food and treats in the green room. Without much thought, I sampled a few things including a chocolate cupcake, some cookies, and some crunchy bar snacks. It was yummy. Later as the day went on I felt really cranky. I wasn’t inspired to do the things I said I would do to change my habits. Eating the sugar treats was fine, but I think it actually set me up for failure when it came to changing the things that I wanted to change. I didn’t think much more about it. I figured, “everyone has good days and bad days. I’m just snarky today.”
The next day I had a day off and was running all over town doing the things I had to get done. The day was much the same in many ways. I pulled in to the grocery for dinner food and an afternoon snack. First, I went to the bakery and feasted my eyes on the baked goods. (I have a real sweet tooth, can’t you tell?) But then I had an inspiration (call it guidance from Source?) to choose differently. I listened and followed my inspiration to the other side of the store, to the fruit section. There I found two things that sounded good to me in the moment: a green apple, and an 8 oz bottle of 100% carrot juice. I finished getting dinner food and got in the car to drive home. I snacked on my apple and carrot juice, which tasted really good ’cause I was really hungry. It was yummy! Again I didn’t give this too much thought in the moment.
Later that day, I had absolutely no trouble finding inspiration to follow my new year’s resolutions. I had good energy, and I was flying high on the emotional scale! (like up in the “Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness” range) I have always heard that “you are what you eat” but I never wanted to be an apple or a bottle of carrot juice! Joking aside, eating real food for energy made a big difference for me, and this is affecting my eating choices today too. Gaining weight is not a worry for me, but feeling good is. Maybe YOU can try eating a little better today. See how it makes you feel. See if feeling better makes you do the things you want to do with even more ease. Like some of you, I am a freelancer, so most of the work I do is done on a varied schedule. I basically work for myself, dig up my own jobs, and get to be thrilled and terrified by it all at the same time. Sometimes the work piles up, and sometimes it goes MIA for a while. When I have big jobs or shows I will often hire some temporary help to assist me with making it a success. I try to be a good manager, and I usually succeed. When I feel overwhelmed, I long for someone who can be counted on to do what I need them to, on time, and exactly the way I would do it if I had the time. This kind of manager is very hard to find, especially when you are as picky as I am about my business. But there is one manager you can always count on to work for you, all day, every day, and with consistent outcomes every time: The Law of Attraction!
Sure, you can’t “see” this manager, and you can’t “fire” this manager, but LOA is on the job 24/7, weekends and holidays. LOA hears your call and brings you the people and resources and circumstances that you alone couldn’t possibly work hard enough to arrange for yourself. So how does this manager behave, and how do you supervise LOA most effectively to do your work? Here are some insights into how I have learned to use this powerful Universal manager in my life.
Law of Attraction behaves consistently. When you live, think and feel, you create a kind of signal, or better said an average vibration, and LOA reads this signal and immediately puts you in the vicinity of people, events, and circumstances that match that vibration. LOA never says “but you don’t really want that, do you?” Instead, it always says “OK boss, I’m on it right now” and relentlessly brings more and more to you. Unlike a human manager, with their human inconsistencies and inevitable miscommunications, the LOA hears your vibration clearly every time and brings you more of the same every time. If you have something go poorly, don’t blame LOA. That would be a mistake. Instead, ask yourself what kind of message you have been sending out through your vibration. If you can’t blame LOA for your results, then you have to look in the mirror and find the source of the issue! Let me explain this a little more.
Law of Attraction is reading your vibration even when you wish it wouldn’t. When you criticize, complain, worry, get depressed, fight with others, watch scary movies, see murders on TV, and read bad-feeling headlines, LOA is on the job working to give you more of the same. It’s as if you were actually putting in an order for how you want your life to be. In this case you are saying: “People hate me and I hate myself, things never work out for me, things are never good enough, I’ll never be successful, people always argue with me, there are bad people out to get me, I can be killed today, and the world has gone mad. Yes, please bring me all of this, and even more…please.” We assume that LOA is smart enough to know that we don’t really want more of these things. But LOA can’t tell the difference between things you want and things you don’t want. It just responds to anything you give your attention to. Whatever you focus on becomes included in your vibrational average, and that alone determines what you get more and more of based on the LOA. Whatever your life is right now is an exact reflection of your average vibrational asking.
So I use LOA to my advantage by including things in my vibration that feel good to me. I read the Gratitude Planet “Good News” section every day, and I look for TV (when I have time to watch) that feels good when I watch it, which means murder and crime shows are not on my list. I look for opportunities to uplift others with my words and actions, and I am sure to appreciate and be grateful for myself, my family, my friends, my coworkers, and even strangers I meet every day. I use visualizations, meditation, yoga, and my painting to center my thoughts on good-feeling topics. I tell the story of my life the way I want it to be, because LOA can’t figure out what is real and what is just my imagination. I try to give clear directions to my universal manager, the Law of Attraction, and then I look to see what I get in my life every day. When I have been feeling good, things seem to work out best, and when I give my focus to things that feel bad, I seem to have a bumpier ride for sure. You probably have noticed this in your life as well. Nice to know that we are the boss!

There are times when I really yearn to be more spiritual, what ever that really means. I will meditate more often, and use my power to visualize more effectively. When I feel an urge to be a human having a spiritual experience, I adjust my behaviors to what ever degree feels right. There is always some point, however, where I feel like I fall short…when I think I should work harder, focus more, or try to be better, regardless of what I have done. It appears to me in those moments that I am chasing something unattainable, and that being “spiritual” is not the end goal at all. We often think of ourselves as humans having a spiritual experience…yet we are really spirit (Source Energy) having a human experience! This way of stating it changes the goals and focus just a bit for me, which I will explain next.
Before we choose to enter into this life of form and contrast and expansion, we are one vibration with Source Energy. This energy has been described as pure, positive energy, and it is the energy that creates and sustains the Universe. It is pure, inexhaustible, free-flowing, always available, and it is the source of everything that exists. It is a stream of energy that flows naturally to and through you. You can resist it, but you can never stop it completely. When you are born into your human form, you emerge on the “outer edge” or “leading edge” of experience, and you gain something (and you lose something too). You gain the ability to create personal preferences for what you want to be, do, and have. You are given the gift of creating new reality with your thoughts. You are given opportunities to sift through multiple ideas so that you can desire, expand, and grow. You are presented with contrasting experiences that help you know what you don’t want, so that you can be clear about what you do want. But what you lose is your perfect vibrational synchronicity to Source Energy. When you were not in human form, your vibration and your inner being’s vibration were one vibration. But from that vantage point (as one vibration) there is no growth, and no contrast exists to hone desire for more. You came here and became Source Energy as a human on planet Earth: you became Spirit having a Human experience.
The most important thing to note about all of this is that you exist for a very important reason: you are helping the Universe to expand. When you were part of pure, positive energy before you were in human form, your experience didn’t create expansion. Now that you are here, your experience creates desire, and that desire is felt by Source. The moment you desire something, Source expands to the outer limits of that desire. In other words, if you want it, Source immediately becomes the full vibrational manifestation of that desire. You might be thinking, “ya, but so what? What does that mean to me here in this life right now?” It means everything.
When your Source expands because of your experience on planet Earth, you and Source are way out of vibrational alignment. When this happens, you can tell because you don’t feel good. The discord is felt through your emotions, and you become slightly cut off from the free flow of your life force from Source. Because Source has taken the expansion that YOU asked for through your personal preferences, you will not feel good until you also take the same vibrational expansion. When you DO take the vibrational expansion, you will feel emotions like gratitude, belief, happiness, passion, appreciation, and bliss.
I am so appreciative that we always know where we are in relation to our alignment with Source Energy. Our number one job is to allow ourselves to be in alignment with the expanded version of ourselves! Source, by the way, will not retreat to a lesser vibration, so until you come up to speed with the new you, you won’t feel very good. Let your emotions be your guide, and know that you are a unique and important part of the expansion of the Universe. You are on the leading edge of thought, and everything you are matters to the eternal unfolding of everything. You are important, worthy, significant, and irreplaceable. Enjoy this most amazing day! Hi Everyone. I would like to offer a list of very “true” and maybe somewhat obvious reasons for you to love your day today. May it be an inspiration for you to be feeling good and allowing your wellbeing throughout the day!
- Today is the only day I will live today…I’ll make the most of it.
- I can breathe deeply into my lungs…and air is free and abundant.
- My body recharged overnight, and I had a safe place to sleep.
- I will eat some good food today that will feed my body and fill it with energy.
- I love the opportunity this day brings to do something new, and think something new.
- I appreciate that there are people I love, and that love me too.
- Law of Attraction is on the job today, and everyday, managing all cooperative components of my experience.
- I love that the Earth keeps spinning in its perfect orbit, changing the seasons and keeping us thriving.
- I love that in places where contrast is being experiences, more and more wellness is being created that will bloom and manifest over time.
- I love that we can never get “it” done, so I will do the things on my plate today. My timing and unfolding will be perfect today.

It’s fun to be living on planet Earth, having a human experience and honing preferences for the experiences we want to attract and create. Every time you have an experience that makes you say “No, I don’t want to have that experience again” it is as if you reconfigure a “preferences file” with the Universe. Through this contrasting experience, the Universe hears your asking (vibrationally) and expands to match your asking, and then it becomes the new vibrational version of you…waiting for YOU to align with the expanded version of YOU. (If this sounds really confusing, read this post right now and see if it helps.) All day, every day we are sorting through our individual preferences for what we want, and when we say “no” we really, really mean “NO!” It’s OK to feel grateful and appreciative for our ability to say “no.” The word “no” puts the expansion of the Universe into motion.
But for the Universe, there is no such thing as the word “no.” When you say “no,” the Universe only hears “yes.” But how can this be? This is because we live in an inclusion-based Universe. The Law of Inclusion dictates that anything that you give your attention to becomes part of your vibration, and then the Law of Attraction gets to work to give you more of it. In other words, you can’t push anything away from you and your vibration…if it has your attention in any way, you are magnifying it and attracting more of it toward your personal experience. In an inclusion-based system, trying to stop anything (drugs, crime, disease, poverty, etc.) only serves to intensify the vibration, no matter how well-meaning you are. So how do we address these problems, you might say? If you focus directly on the problem, there will always be the problem, and bigger problems like it. (The Universe hears “This is a problem” and agrees with you, and sends you more of it because you gave it your attention.) Instead, focus on your mind’s highest image of a solution that does not include the problem. That last sentence is worth reading again. Remember that you can’t think about the problem without including, intensifying, expanding, and drawing more of the problem into your personal experience. So the key is to give your attention to thoughts and ideas of clarity, peace, wellness, and prosperity, rather than trying to rid the planet of drugs, crime, disease, and poverty.
But if no one works to rid the world of drugs, crime, disease, and poverty, won’t these things get out of control and multiply? Not in an inclusion-based Universe. The problems will dissipate and lose their energy as connected people all over the world act on their inner wisdom from connection to Source, and follow their intuition to promote clarity, peace, wellness, and prosperity. What are you for, and what are you against? Now that you are more aware that you are actually for the things you thought you were against, how might you refocus your attention today? Just notice today, through your experience, what you have been asking for by observing everything you are getting. You have been saying “yes” to all of it, even when you shouted “no” at it. Be easy about it, and when you must say “no” just get off the thought and turn to something you can say “yes” to as soon as possible. Be for things from now on, and let them flow to you effortlessly over time. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

Reading Chris’ post yesterday made me think a lot about how we create our story every day. Life is a kind of movie set where we get to decide on so many things (really everything!). I want to take his ideas another step forward and illustrate a bit how you might play the Director role. Law of Attraction responds to your vibration and gives you more of what it hears you saying. So when you experience something that doesn’t jive with your preferred version of your movie, it is time to yell “CUT!” and shoot a different version of the scene. I’ll give a few examples here of what I mean.
Leading Lady: Wakes up in the morning in bed, jumps up, stubs toe and says “ouch! I am so clumsy! One of there days I’m going to really hurt myself!”(Law of Attraction hears “I am asking for more pain today. I deserve it. This happens all the time. I am ready for a serious accident”)
Director: “OK, CUT! That was well-acted, and quite dramatic, but the line is ‘ouch! Well I can tell I’m not dreaming anymore. Today I’ll get all my clumsies out right away. It’s gonna get better from here, I can tell.’” (Law of Attraction hears “I am expecting this to be my last accident today. The day will get better and better. All is well”)
Leading Lady: Walks into the bathroom and looks in the mirror, evaluates appearance and says “This diet isn’t working at all! I look like a fat slob. Diets never work for me. I’m going to die fat!” (Law of Attraction hears “I am fat. I suck. Don’t bring me anything else except what I have. I am unworthy. No matter what I eat, don’t send me any evidence of progress. Death will be my only resolution to this problem.”)
Director: “OK, CUT! We already shot that scene over and over again. This is the plot twist where she realizes that things are going to change. The lines are ‘I don’t see a huge change, yet, but I know this new diet is working. I feel thinner, and I know every cell of my body is letting in the new, thinner me! I can’t wait to see myself tomorrow. Soon everyone will be able to see what I am feeling right now. Look out world, the new me is here!’” (Law of Attraction hears “I am expecting this diet to work. I will see a manifestation soon. I am on track to allow what I want. People will tell me I look thinner today.”)
Leading Lady: Interacting with someone in the grocery checkout line. Notices that the cashier is nervous and making mistakes. Speaks these lines to the person in line: “Look at this cashier. Is she stupid or what! Why don’t they train them better? How come when you are in a hurry you always get in a line with an incompetent cashier? I mean really, I need to see the manager. This is ridiculous!” (Law of Attraction hears “Bring me stupid cashiers. I attract untrained cashiers to me. I always shop in stores that don’t care about the customers. I’m ready for a big fight with someone, and the sooner the better. Bring me someone to unload on, please.”)
Director: “OK, CUT! Those are the lines of the person in the next aisle in another movie. This scene sets up the leading lady meeting her soulmate in the parking lot in the next scene. Can you play it a bit easier? Your lines are ‘Look at that cashier. She seems a bit nervous. I don’t recognize her. I bet she is new on the job. I remember when I got my first job, and I remember how it took me a while to come up to speed. She is doing the best she can. I appreciate that they have those scanners. It makes the whole process go by so much faster. I found some good sale items, and I am glad it will ring up with the sale price automatically. In a week I bet she’ll be zipping through customers. I always get in the right line, just by intuition. My timing is perfect today.’” (Law of Attraction hears “I am always in the right place at the right time. I appreciate people for where they are in life, and I give myself a break as well. All is well. You can bring me everything I want right now. I am ready and willing to give my love and gratitude to everyone, and I see and draw to me others who vibrate like me.”
The scenes are ongoing in your experience everyday, in every moment. Law of Attraction responds to your vibration and not your words, so it hears what you are feeling, and simply agrees with what you feel. Are you satisfied with the message you are sending to the Universe, which is being constantly matched by the Law of Attraction? If not, take control and redirect your scenes. You choose it all. There was a time when I thought I would be happy if all my problems would just go away forever. Everything seemed to be a bother, and I felt like life was a constant struggle. I thought that I had to find a way to solve all my problems once and for all, and I looked everywhere for a solution. I meditated, did yoga, kept fit, read books, and got a hold of every self-help book or video I saw. Yet, to my dismay, my problems didn’t disappear completely. No matter what I did or achieved, I still had unfulfilled desires that I labeled as problems, or as “contrast.” The striving for a life of no contrast was a pain. The harder I tried to have no contrast, the more I seemed to have. Sometimes I felt defeated and that I was a loser if I had problems to face in my life. Thankfully I came to new understandings about the Law of Attraction, and over time I gained a new perspective on the “problems” in my life and the positive function they serve.
As I understand it, we are created in the image of Source Energy. We are vibrational beings who are extensions of the Source from which we came. When we think, we send out energy to the Universe. Before we are born into a physical body, we are one with our Source, and there is no contrast…yes, NO CONTRAST! (This is what I was trying to achieve in this lifetime!) But as an extension of Source, living in a physical body on planet Earth, I am supposed to encounter things that I want…and that I don’t yet have. When I have “problems” or unfulfilled desires in my life, the Source that I came from GROWS in proportion to my asking. If I am sick, I have a problem; but through experiencing this sickness, I ask strongly for health, and vibrationally I send a signal back to myself as Source Energy. The part of me that is still Source responds immediately to my expanded idea of health, and literally becomes a new version of me with the new condition of expanded health. But, you might ask, how do I benefit from this if I am still sick?
When life causes you to ask for something better, or for a solution to a problem in your life, the greater part of you grows, becomes the expanded version, and begins calling you toward the new manifestation into physical reality. (You may want to read that last sentence again). You ask, Source answers by expanding fully into the new thing, and all you have to do is allow yourself to receive the new condition. Law of Attraction is the manager of all of this, so it is important to focus on the new desire rather than the lack of the new desire. (More on this later). The point of this post is that you will never be problem or contrast free in this lifetime. Instead of wasting time, as I did, trying to solve all your problems, be grateful for the contrast you experience. Give yourself credit for the expansion you have sent to your Source, and then get into a place to let it manifest into your experience on Earth. If you are not asking, you are not growing. Be grateful and appreciative for the contrast in your life. It gives you the push forward into new and amazing things. Let me know if this post makes any sense to you.
