Sometimes I just want to stay at home and accomplish absolutely nothing.<a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/sunset.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1854" title="sunset" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/sunset-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a> First off, I started to pay attention to how I feel more and more of the time. What I discovered is that sometimes I feel excited and ready to do things, and other times I need to recharge and give myself some quiet time. When I honor the quiet time without feeling bad about it, I recharge my batteries much faster than when I beat myself up. And once I have a chance to recharge, I get a wave of inspiration to get up and do something.</p>
<p>I used to do it the other way: I would need a recharge, but would instead head into the world hoping to find the inspiration to make it through. But <em>Law of Attraction</em> aligns you with more of what you are feeling, so if you are tired and cranky, you will attract more events that feel like &#8220;tired and cranky.&#8221; So it&#8217;s so very important to notice how you feel and change your vibration with a quiet recharging time&#8230;guilt-free.</p>

<!-- End BidVertiser code --> </div><p>But I know what you might be thinking: &#8220;Who has time to recharge with so much to do and so little time?&#8221; Here&#8217;s my answer: You will accomplish more in your day when you are connected to <strong><em>Source</em></strong> than when you are disconnected. When you practice slowing down and connecting to yourself and listening to how you feel and talking yourself into a better feeling place, you can do it in 5–10 minutes. If you can&#8217;t find five minutes in your schedule it&#8217;s prime time to re-evaluate your schedule for better peace and wellness.</p>

I rush to get around and become late arriving somewhere, or I work, work, work to finish something&#8230;only to discover that I missed a deadline. Sometimes there is no getting around the fact that a deadline was missed. However, I have noticed a connection to time and my alignment with it in the real world. When I take the time, usually early in the morning, to connect with <em><strong>Source Energy</strong></em>, the world seems to work better with me in terms of time. I seem to get things done ahead of time, or I find myself enjoying the work more, instead of rushing to meet a deadline. My timing, when I have aligned with the <strong><em>Universe</em></strong>, is pretty spot on if I do say so myself! So maybe time is not the enemy (if there is an enemy) but rather my own alignment with <em>Source</em> is my challenge.</p>
<p>Aligning with <em>Source</em> is not hard, really. It can be as easy as listening to your breath for five minutes, or doing yoga, or meditating for a little while. It can happen on a walk, or while you are looking at the sky. In fact, there are countless ways to connect to <em>Source Energy</em> as long as you have the intention to do so. The only way you can keep yourself from aligning is to rush ahead into the day or into a situation without gathering yourself in the moment. Take the time to slow down your conscious mind, and let yourself love the moment even more. Assure yourself that this is time well spent. It all works out.</p>
<p>Try this as an experiment. Do it one day, and maybe not the next. See if the day feels different to you. journal about how you feel during the day. See if you have parking spaces, friends that you just happen to connect with, or new and wonderful experiences that pop up for you. <div>Thanks so much for your question. One way you can help  her is to  encourage her to talk about the developing skills in a way  that feels  better to her. For example, if she says &#8220;I&#8217;m not a good  setter&#8221; and you  know she is telling herself this either out loud or to  herself, you  can redirect her and say &#8220;you are getting better every  moment at  setting.&#8221; Once she gives herself the benefit of the doubt in  her  vibration, then you can start reaching farther with saying  statements  such as &#8220;My setting skills are becoming amazing. Everyone can  tell I am  getting really good at it.&#8221; There are many statements that  she can say  and then believe fully, and you will know best which ones to  support  her through and guide her to. She can also &#8220;practice&#8221; in her   imagination. Have her sit quietly and &#8220;see herself&#8221; in her mind doing   the skills with amazing grace and precision. <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> will not   know that she is not really doing it, and will help her on the real   court. Be sure she doesn&#8217;t visualize failures, but rather imagines   herself being amazing. She will draw on these attraction momentum   builders when she goes out there for real. You supporting her is huge,   because many of us quit when the world tells us we are kidding   ourselves. a statement or proposition that, despite sound (or apparently sound) reasoning from acceptable premises, leads to a conclusion that seems senseless, logically unacceptable, or self-contradictory.</p>
<p>When you become a student and practitioner of the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>, you come to realize that there are easy parts to accept, and also that there are parts that take some faith to accept. For example, if you want proof that <em>Law of Attraction</em> works, focus on feeling better for 30–60 seconds, and notice how you gain access to thoughts that feel even better. Focus on something for a day, and notice yourself finding unlimited thoughts that support the topic. Give a topic your full attention for a week, and you will feel it building and multiplying in your vibration. Focus your undivided attention on something for a month and see how it manifests in your life in multiple ways. The proof is in the changes you see and feel, and you gain momentum the more you do it.</p>
<p>But sometimes we all get stuck, and it feels as if nothing is changing. This is the paradox. If you give your undivided attention to something you want, you will see proof of progress in somewhere between 30 seconds to 30 days. But if you have something you have been wanting for much longer, you may have been missing a key step to manifesting everything you want: <em>imagining that you already have it right now</em>!</p>
<p>But wait, you say, how can I feel like I have something that I don&#8217;t have? And that&#8217;s the key&#8230;if you <em>feel</em> like you have it, <em>Law of Attraction</em> can deliver it to you in a real-life manifestation in 30 days or less. So if you think about the thing, and then feel bad that you don&#8217;t have it, and then desire it even more, and then feel worse that it hasn&#8217;t come to you yet, you get into a cycle that feels like being stuck in the same place. What you have to do is take a leap of faith: feel the joy of having it right now.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s take weight loss as an example of this paradox. If you have decided that you want to lose some weight, then your first step is to simply notice what you say to yourself in your thinking on the topic of your weight. If you have been trying for a while to lose weight, then your thinking will have some contradictory vibrations. Sometimes you will feel optimistic about losing weight, and sometimes you will hate thin people, and you will feel guilt, shame, and even sadness around your present weight. <em>Law of Attraction </em>responds to all of this, and you get into a &#8220;two steps forward, two steps back&#8221; cycle. It seems like nothing is changing. Once you catch yourself in this cycle (and you will), just laugh at your thoughts and remember that they are simply thoughts.</p>
<p>Your goal is to reach for a thought that feels true, but that also allows <em>Law of Attraction</em> to work in your favor. The thought &#8220;I am exactly 120 pounds&#8221; might be too much of a stretch. But the thought &#8220;I am attracting my perfect weight&#8221; might have a ring of truth for you in this moment. Love the thought in this moment. Eventually you will find thoughts that feel true, and that reinforce the reality of the condition you are manifesting. You might think &#8220;my clothes fit so well, and I look great. People treat me like a very healthy person.&#8221; If you hold this kind of thought it will manifest in 30 days or less. It&#8217;s feeling good NOW that matters, and also staying in a good-feeling place on the topic.</p>
<p>The paradox is simply stated: If you want something, feel good about it now, as if you already have it. Experience the joy of it now, in your vibration. Don&#8217;t focus on NOT having it&#8230;feel like it&#8217;s yours already. When<em> Law of Attraction</em> hears &#8220;this is my reality,&#8221; it agrees every time and brings it to you quickly and expertly. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Softball-girl.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1643" title="Cute Baseball Player" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Softball-girl-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" /></a>A few days ago, I was conversing with a friend after church about what his plans were for the rest of the day. The conversation went something like this:</p>
<p>Me: &#8220;So, what do you have planned for the rest of the day?&#8221;</p>
<p>Friend: &#8220;Oh, I&#8217;m going to go and watch my granddaughter&#8217;s soft ball team play.&#8221;</p>
<p>Me: &#8220;That sounds like fun! How old are they?&#8221;</p>
<p>Friend: &#8220;They&#8217;re between seven and nine years of age.&#8221;</p>
<p>Me: &#8220;Are they a good team?&#8221;</p>
<p>Friend: &#8220;Not really. They are at the bottom of their league!&#8221;</p>
<p>Me: &#8220;Ouch! That must not be good for morale.&#8221;</p>
<p>Friend: &#8220;Actually, they don&#8217;t care. They aren&#8217;t there to win any big awards, or be the best in the league. They are there to have a good time and enjoy each other&#8217;s company. Winning or losing doesn&#8217;t even cross their minds!&#8221;</p>
<p>I had an immediate thought at this point. <em>Why can&#8217;t life be this way?</em> Why can&#8217;t we NOT worry about having everything &#8220;work out&#8221; and just have fun with each other, and let the <em><strong>Universe</strong></em> take care of us? So I decided to give it a try. Instead of worrying about my relationships, and where they were going, I let go of that and <em>just had fun with them</em>. In place of working to get approval from my colleagues, I accepted that they already approved of me, and made our work together<em> a thing of play</em>. I relaxed, and trusted that <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> was lining me up with the vibration of what I wanted. Guess what happened? All of my relationships have taken a positive step forward. In fact, one of my friends remarked to me about the positive &#8220;change&#8221; he has seen in me this week. The work that my colleagues and I were doing seemed to just fly by as if guided by an invisible genie. Seemingly impossible situations magically worked themselves out all by themselves, without my having to invest any energy at all. I didn&#8217;t worry at all about how good I was, how effective I was, or even if I was getting these  <em><strong>Law of Attraction</strong></em> principles down correctly or not. I simply realized that it is a wonderfully automatic system that works to perfection every time. We need not worry about being finished with the process, because WE are a never-finished process. We are eternal beings. There is always something wonderful and new to learn, and we can learn everything in our own perfect time. We don&#8217;t ever have to worry about winning, because we have already won. We already have the prize. All we need to do is to enjoy our process&#8230;enjoy all of it&#8230;the people, places and things in our lives, and just have fun. Enjoy the prize!  -Lee</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/the_four_agreements_by_don_miguel_ruiz.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1614" title="the_four_agreements_by_don_miguel_ruiz" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/the_four_agreements_by_don_miguel_ruiz.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="291" /></a>Today I am going to take the third agreement from the book <a title="miguelruiz.com" href="http://www.miguelruiz.com/" target="_self">“The Four Agreements”</a> by Don Miguel Ruiz and relate it to my understanding of the<strong><em> Law of Attraction</em></strong>. If you haven’t read Part 3 of this series, you can click <a title="Learn To Be (Part 3)" href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/2011/02/21/learn-to-be-more-agreeable-with-yourself-part-3/" target="_blank">HERE</a> to see it before you read this post. In his book, the author discusses   how we inherit  certain beliefs as we grow from infancy into adulthood.   The beliefs we  hold come to form the basis for what we call “truth”  in  the world, and  our behavior is vastly shaped by those beliefs. We  make  an agreement with ourselves to call these beliefs “reality” and to  not  question them in our own minds. But if you adopt new agreements,   replacing the old ones, and decide to guide your life by them, your can   transform your life in a powerful way. Remember that the four NEW   agreements are:</p>
<p>1.     Be impeccable with your word.</p>
<p>2.     Don’t take anything personally.</p>
<p>3.     Don’t make assumptions.</p>
<p>4.     Always do your best.</p>
<p>The third agreement, <em>“Don&#8217;t Make Assumptions”</em> is an all-important one as it relates to the <em>Law of Attraction</em>. To &#8220;assume,&#8221; as an old, wise, yet humorous saying goes, makes an &#8220;ass&#8221; out of &#8220;u&#8221; and &#8220;me.&#8221;  The official definition of the word is:</p>
<p><em><strong>assumption |əˈsəm(p) sh ən|</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>noun</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>1 a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof.</strong></em></p>
<p>Assuming, by definition, means that you have no real proof that the event or situation is true, and it also means that you have a choice in terms of how you perceive the event or situation. We all make assumptions, often quite unconsciously, all the time. We might hear a beep in traffic and assume that someone is mad at us (when they really might know us), or we might assume that someone is ignoring us (when they just didn&#8217;t notice us). Assumptions become part of our daily routine and, over time, we ascribe our assumptions to blocks of reality that we never dare to question. The real question is, <em>do your assumptions serve your greater sense of well being, and do you assumptions help you feel better in this moment?</em> If you answered &#8220;yes and yes&#8221; then you are doing well with this third agreement.</p>
<p>Remember that the <em>Law of Attraction</em> responds to your average vibrational offering, and this vibration is always changing as you think and feel, and think and feel your way through every day. When you feel good, you are attracting the things that will feel good when they manifest. Likewise, when you feel bad or disconnected, you are attracting things that won&#8217;t feel great when they manifest. Yet being human on planet Earth means feeling good sometimes and bad other times&#8230;the key is to feel better, and to move your average vibration higher and higher. You do this by the thoughts you choose. Your assumptions directly affect your thoughts.</p>
<p>The next time you feel a disconnected thought, or a feeling that feels bad, notice if the thought is connected to an assumption you are making. Are you assuming that you hurt someone&#8217;s feelings? Are you assuming that you failed someone? Might you be assuming that something in the future will go wrong? In almost every case, you have a choice to drop the assumption and feel better in the moment. Because you have no real proof of the validity of the assumption, why not just ignore the possibility for now, until you get a better sense for what has, or what will, happen? I have noticed that I make assumptions that I can never prove, such as if a stranger thought I was nice of not. I may never see the person again, and I don&#8217;t need to assume anything about the interaction&#8230;the experience is only in my mind once it is over, and I get to choose how I perceive it.</p>
<p>Because I practice the conscious art of the <em>Law of Attraction</em>, I like to take this agreement one step further by being selective about my assumptions. If I make an assumption that feels bad, I do my best to drop it. But if I make an assumption that feels good, I just roll with it. A simple example would be: if I assume that something bad is going to happen I just let go of the thought, and remind myself that it is merely an assumption. But if I have a thought that all is well, or that something good will happen, I embrace the better-feeling thought and let it permeate my vibration. So my agreement with myself is really: <em>&#8220;Make No Bad-feeling Assumptions.&#8221; </em></p>
<p>I hope this makes sense to you. You have the power to feel better and better, and to attract the life you have been asking for and wanting. It is yours for the taking, as long as you are open to noticing how you feel. Use this agreement to your advantage and see the difference it can make in your life today. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/optimism.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1719" title="optimism" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/optimism.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" /></a>Today I would like to bring you some tips for using <em>optimism</em> to your advantage. Optimism is a key tool in harnessing the full power of the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>, and it is nothing more than being picky about the thoughts you choose to think. Each person has a vibrational range, and this range is determined by the average feeling or vibrational content of the thoughts you have been thinking. If you haven&#8217;t read the GP post on <em>Using the Emotional Scale</em>, you may want to read it first by clicking <a title="GP post Emotional Scale" href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/2010/01/18/understanding-and-using-the-emotional-scale/" target="_self">HERE</a>. You only have access to thoughts that are close to your vibrational range, so trying to feel optimism when you are feeling doubt is next to impossible to do. But I like optimism as a default &#8220;go to&#8221; vibration for several reasons. Even if you are in the vibrational range of doubt, your job is to find the <em>best thought that you have vibrational access to</em>. Instead of having to remember what emotional label is above doubt (in this case it is <em>disappointment</em>) I reach for &#8220;an optimistic thought&#8221; in my range, which might move me into a little higher vibration. I find this easier to do (at least for me) than trying to feel disappointment. I reach for &#8220;optimistic doubt&#8221; and I land in something that feels better than doubt. From there, I do the same thing again and find some thoughts that could be called &#8220;optimistic disappointment,&#8221; even if I don&#8217;t use that label.</p>
<p>I believe that optimism is especially powerful because it includes a reference to both sides of the issue: the glass is half full, or it is half empty. It helps you choose to focus on the side of the issue that tells a better story. It looks objectively at something and makes the most out of it. It is a launching pad for climbing the emotional scale on any issue. It recognizes the choices you have with two distinct paths, one that leads you closer to where you want to be, and one that leads you away from your desired emotional destination. It is the opposite of delusional; it is grounded and realistic while still being a reach on the vibrational scale. (Incidentally, you can make a good case for the concept of being delusional too, forgetting about &#8220;reality&#8221; completely and giving thought only to your goal. Many successful people call this &#8220;being focused.&#8221;)</p>
<p>Do you consider yourself to be an optimist? I know some people that pride themselves on being a self-described &#8220;devil&#8217;s advocate&#8221; and finding the fault in any idea, plan, or brainstorm. They feel that they play an important role in the conversation by bringing everyone down to a realistic level. But they actually do themselves a disservice by lowering their own <em>emotional set point</em> of vibration, which inevitably keeps them feeling worse and worse. The &#8220;important role&#8221; of pessimist keeps them from manifesting their desires and askings, and their <strong><em>Source</em></strong> will never take a pessimistic view of anything&#8230;so they live out of alignment with their own inner being.</p>
<p>Notice today what your thoughts and words feel like. Are they optimistic or pessimistic? Do your thoughts and words lead you to feelings that feel better or feelings that worse?  Just notice. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/the_four_agreements_by_don_miguel_ruiz.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1614" title="the_four_agreements_by_don_miguel_ruiz" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/the_four_agreements_by_don_miguel_ruiz.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="291" /></a>Today I am going to take the second agreement from the book <a title="miguelruiz.com" href="http://www.miguelruiz.com/" target="_self">“The Four Agreements”</a> by Don Miguel Ruiz and relate it to my understanding of the<strong><em> Law of Attraction</em></strong>. If you haven’t read Part 2 of this series, you can click <a title="Four Agreements Part 2" href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/2011/01/06/learn-to-be-more-agreeable-with-yourself-part-2/" target="_self">HERE</a> to see it before you read this post. In his book, the author discusses  how we inherit  certain beliefs as we grow from infancy into adulthood.  The beliefs we  hold come to form the basis for what we call “truth” in  the world, and  our behavior is vastly shaped by those beliefs. We make  an agreement with ourselves to call these beliefs “reality” and to not  question them in our own minds. But if you adopt new agreements,  replacing the old ones, and decide to guide your life by them, your can  transform your life in a powerful way. Remember that the four NEW  agreements are:</p>
<p>1.     Be impeccable with your word.</p>
<p>2.     Don’t take anything personally.</p>
<p>3.     Don’t make assumptions.</p>
<p>4.     Always do your best.</p>
<p>The second agreement, <em>“Don&#8217;t Take Anything Personally”</em> seems straight forward and easy to understand. No matter how things go for you, this agreement guides you to take other people&#8217;s intentions and reactions out of your personal vibrational equation. In other words, <em>what people think about you is really none of your business</em>. Yet you might worry that you could be perceived as insensitive if you really don&#8217;t care about what others think of you. This is true, but this worry misses the greater point of this agreement.</p>
<p>It is possible to be sensitive and aware of the feelings of others without allowing yourself to lose your personal connection to <em><strong>Source Energy</strong></em>. When you take things personally, you assign blame where no blame needs to be assigned. No matter what people do to you or for you, they are always living their life from their own personal vantage point. The decisions they make are all in relation to their personal perceptions and assumptions. They are always working within the <em><strong>Law of Attraction,</strong></em> and they are always getting a match to their own vibrational offerings. So when they do anything, it is always in relation to their own personal crossroad of experience&#8230;not in exclusive relation to YOU.</p>
<p>When you take things personally, you assume that your influence on another is a greater influence than their own thoughts, feelings, and actions&#8230;and this simply is not true. You are never responsible for the choices that others make, even if you feel like you are. It is much easier to decide that you will take responsibility for your own thoughts, feelings, and actions, and let others do the same. Make peace with where you are while you allow others to be who they are as well. Free yourself from the feelings of disconnection that come when you think others have wronged you in some way. It&#8217;s not personal, it&#8217;s just what happened.</p>
<p>The <em>Law of Attraction</em> always matches your vibration and gives you more of what you focus upon. When you take things personally, you lose your sense of higher, better-feeling connection to who you really are. You lose your own sense of direction, and you start to second-guess what you need to do to make the other person happy, or what to do back if they have wronged you in some way. This is all a waste of time and energy. Instead, decide that what others do is not a factor in your own ability to be connected to <em>Source</em>, and that you will maintain your happiness even when the going gets tough. Give the benefit of the doubt by remembering that <em>it&#8217;s never personal</em>. Then, once you release the chains of worry, you can find your center and thrive again.</p>
<p>Start today by just noticing when you take something personally. You will feel it in your vibration, and you will be able to consciously identify what seemed to make you feel that way. Then take the other person out of the equation by remembering that they didn&#8217;t tailor their actions as a personal attack on you, but rather they made the best decision for their own personal journey. There is much freedom gained when you adopt this agreement. Allow yourself to master it, and enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP</p>

At <strong>Gratitude Planet</strong> we endorse the use of affirming statements, but primarily when used the following way:</p>
<p>1. Choose a statement that feels good to you, but not one that feels untrue to you. It needs to stretch your beliefs a little, but not be so far out of your own realm of possibility that you contradict the statement immediately in your mind.</p>
<p>2. Repeat the affirmation out loud or to yourself as many times as you can while staying focused on the good feeling it creates.</p>
<p>3. Allow the affirmation to attract another affirmation. It will pop into your mind effortlessly, and you will know you have attracted a good one if it feels just as good as the first, or even better.</p>
<p>4. Repeat the new affirmation, and see where it leads you.</p>
<p>5. Have fun and enjoy the energy these positive statements can bring to you. They can jump-start your day, or they can energize you when you have a disconnected moment. One word of caution, however: if you can&#8217;t find a thought or statement that feels <strong><em>good</em></strong>, just search your consciousness for one that feels a little <em><strong>better</strong></em>. In very little time you can attract thoughts that feel good, and you are back on track to allowing the life you deserve and desire. In other words, don&#8217;t repeat an affirmation that is out of your vibrational range because it will only reinforce your belief that you are far from where you need to be.</p>
<p>These affirmations are like thought vitamins. Use them daily for your morning boost, and then ride their energy all day. If you need more, pop a few more. They are safe, non-toxic, healthy, and free for the taking! Who doesn&#8217;t want that?</p>
<p>Here are some examples of affirmations, just in case you want to get started and can&#8217;t think of any right away:</p>
<ol>
<li>I relax and allow everything I want to flow to me in this moment.</li>
<li>I love my body and trust its wisdom.</li>
<li>I am always in the right place at the right time.</li>
<li>My life is unfolding perfectly, one step at a time.</li>
<li>My body always finds its perfect balance. I am healthy, fit,      and flexible.</li>
<li>I allow the well-being of the Universe to cleanse my cells      with pure, positive energy.</li>
</ol>
