			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/smile.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1402" title="smile" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/smile.jpg" alt="" width="269" height="187" /></a>Perhaps you spend a good amount of time thinking about what you want to attract into your experience. It&#8217;s exhilarating to enjoy life as a conscious creator. Once you know that <em><strong>everything you want</strong></em> comes to you through your attention to a subject, and that <strong><em>everything you don&#8217;t want </em></strong>comes to you through your attention to it, then all you have to do is focus on the things you want&#8230;and minimize the rest. Some people beat themselves up when they can&#8217;t seem to stay positive, or when they notice that they are thinking about unwanted things. Thoughts ARE powerful, but they don&#8217;t grab hold of your reality and manifest into events immediately. There is no need to worry. When you give your attention to things you want, and make the best of every experience you have, you are on the right track to creating the life you want.</p>
<p>If you fall into thoughts of lack, fear or anger, it&#8217;s totally alright, and you can always redirect and start again. There is never a point where you can&#8217;t begin again, because life is eternal. The Universe is eternal. Your consciousness is eternal. There is no one right way to be. There is only NOW, and all you have is this moment to enjoy and expand into. You don&#8217;t even need to analyze your thoughts to see what is coming to you&#8230;instead, pay close attention to how you feel. When you are inspired to action, that is because you are in alignment with your greater askings and desires. If you feel bad about an action you are thinking about taking, you are not aligned with the action, and it probably won&#8217;t bring you closer to a happy manifestation.</p>
<p>For fun, let every manifestation be a lesson in how you have been doing in terms of focusing on what you want to create. Let every event be evidence of how you are focusing. If something amazing happens, smile and enjoy the manifestation. When you experience a contrasting experience, tell yourself that it is a match to your thoughts, and just affirm that you will redirect to different thoughts concerning the event. All you do is think and feel and act, and think and feel and act, and then observe the results you get in your life. <em>The Law of Attraction</em> tunes into your vibration, which is the sum total vibrational average of your thoughts, feelings, and actions over time. What your life is right now is a perfect reflection of your vibrational offering in the recent past. People wonder why they can experience something unpleasant even when they feel good in the moment, and this is because it is your average vibrational offering that creates your <strong><em>point of attraction</em></strong>, and this <em>point of attraction</em> is what <em>Law of Attraction</em> matches and magnifies in your experience.</p>

<p>So if you feel snarky most of the time, and you talk about things in terms of your disappointment with the present, it makes sense that <em>Law of Attraction</em> will line you up with more critical, cutting, snide, cranky, and irritable experiences for you to &#8220;enjoy,&#8221; even when you feel happy for a few moments at a time. The key to all of this is to turn the emotional corner and find a way to feel better more of the time.</p>
<p>Feeling better is the key, but changing your behavior is the goal. If your life is not thrilling you enough, you have to change the input that creates your <em>point of attraction</em>, and then <em>Law of Attraction</em> will also work for you in more pleasing ways. Here are a few tips for turning the emotional corner, and all of these ideas can make you think, act, and feel differently.</p>
<ol>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Exercise more</strong></span><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">.</span> </strong>Take a walk, run in the woods, or get on a stationary bike. While you exercise, tell yourself: &#8220;I am opening to my greater health, and my body is very wise. I give myself love and health, and I receive love and health from the Universe.&#8221; Feel every cell in your body respond to your affirmations. You are turning the emotional corner.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Eat Better.</strong></span> No matter what you have been eating, change your diet a little. The phrase &#8220;you are what you eat&#8221; is a good rule of thumb, so if you want to feel differently, try eating differently. Do a juice fast, or a true fast. But a cook book and make some new meals that you haven&#8217;t made before. notice that the food makes you feel differently. You are turning the emotional corner.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Talk Less.</strong></span> That&#8217;s right. Talk less. If your point of attraction has you lining up with things you don&#8217;t like, you are probably in a habit of talking about things in a disconnected way. Talk less, and listen more. Even observe the way you talk to yourself in your own mind. Be kind to yourself, and love yourself more. Let whatever cognitive dissonance your have going melt into awareness of your perfect relationship to love and allowing. You are turning the emotional corner.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Practice Optimism.</strong></span> While you are talking less and observing your thoughts more, turn your thoughts into better-feeling, more positive statements. Make it a game, and enjoy the process. Fr example, if you are doing something and you are beating yourself up, do it a little less. If you say &#8220;I really suck at this,&#8221; notice, laugh to yourself, and think again. Say &#8220;do over&#8221; and tell yourself &#8220;now I may suck at this, but I am getting better and better with every try. Soon I will suck less at this.&#8221; minor change&#8230;big vibrational shift. You are turning the emotional corner.</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Stop &#8220;should-ing&#8221; on yourself.</strong></span> Do you do things just because you &#8220;should?&#8221; Doing this can evolve into acting by default, and living out patterns of actions and thoughts that mess up your pint of attraction. Do everything because you choose to, and not because you feel you should do it. I would wager that at least 20% of the actions people choose are by default because they feel they are supposed to do it that way. Get your &#8220;should&#8221; together. You are turning the emotional corner.</li>
</ol>
<p>See if doing all of this makes a difference to the way you feel. If it does, you are turning the emotional corner. When you think, feel and act differently then your life must change. I look forward to hearing about your successes. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/water-skiing-A1.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1385" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/water-skiing-A1.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="287" /></a>You are probably intrigued by the title of this post. I was inspired to contribute to <strong><em>Gratitude Planet</em></strong> today because I went water skiing yesterday with friends. When I was trying to get up while being dragged by the boat on my skis, I thought up this excellent analogy to <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> and the expansion of the <strong><em>Universe</em></strong>. Here&#8217;s my brain drizzle:</p>
<p>When you are living your day and you are feeling good, it is as if you are sitting in a boat that is safely moving, or is docked in safe harbor. All is well, and you have no contrast to knock you out of your safe place. But when you experience something that makes you feel bad&#8230;you expand and create a better (vibrational) reality for yourself. In this analogy, it like you get tossed out of the boat into the open water. However, you are still connected to the boat by a water ski rope, and you are wearing a pair of very nice skis. The boat represents the new reality you have created, a reality that you are connected to, but that you can&#8217;t enjoy right away because it is ahead of you. But your connection to it gives you several choices of action. You can pull yourself toward it and eventually hop back in, and this is a good choice. You would focus on the new condition until you achieved vibrational harmony with it. With the help of <em>Law of Attraction</em>, you would be sitting in the boat very quickly. Or you can just wait and see what happens.</p>
<p>In real life, the ski boat begins to move. If you decide to resist the motion forward, you get dragged by the boat. The weight of the water on your body and skis is difficult to endure, and in short order you come to realize that life is a drag. Your choices now are to keep suffering the drag of the boat, or to turn toward the boat, get your feet under you, and stand up and ski. The moment you do this, the resistance goes away, and you rise above the drag of the water. You start using the water to move ahead, and the boat becomes your sustaining power. Life becomes fun again and you start sailing toward your new condition. In fact, the thrill of skiing becomes the new condition, and you are connected to <em><strong>Source</strong></em> and living again in bliss within the <strong><em>Vortex</em></strong>. Soon you will be sitting safely back on the boat again.</p>
<p>Life, through contrast, causes you to want something better for yourself. Once you expand and create this new thing, you have no choice but to stand up and ski. You can&#8217;t let go of the rope in this analogy. The more you resist going with the flow of the <em>Universe</em>, the more and more you will notice the drag of the water. And you will always be expanding. The only real thing to figure out is how to keep up with yourself and your personal expansion.</p>
<p>Is your life a drag sometimes? Mine is, and I know yours is too. Why not make the choice to turn toward the things you want, and away from the things holding you back? Go with the flow, turn in a positive direction, and start skiing! You will be amazed how much fun you were missing, and you will remember that you have the ultimate choice to ski or to get dragged. But rest assured that I am always with you, and I am always available to you. I flow through you in every second of every moment of every day, and while you can resist my flow, you can never cut it off completely. As soon as you relax and stop the struggle, I rush in with the full love and connection of <em>Source</em> to fill you, recharge you, and to assure you that all is well. I am the energy behind the <strong><em>Vortex</em></strong>, and when you are connected to me, you are plugged in to the energy that manages the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>.</p>
<p>You did not come here to achieve anything in particular, or to work hard and struggle in pain until your physical death&#8230;rather you came here to to explore the diversity of expression on the Earth, to create new ideas and desires, and to experience the JOY of expansion that is uniquely available to you. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/voices-1.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1374" title="voices 1" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/voices-1-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" /></a>I was walking the other day and started noticing the voices in my head. Before you think I am crazy (which my friends would say I might be) remember that we all talk to ourselves in our mind. There seems to be a constant chatter going on commenting on everything that is happening all the time. Sometimes when I meditate I can get it to calm down but it is mostly always there. You probably have noticed the same thing.</p>
<p>So on my walk I started observing what the chatter in my mind was. I think because of the rhythm I was walking to, I was mostly singing songs to myself. The songs were songs I know or have known from my past. I had to ask the question, &#8220;what vibration am I reinforcing with these songs?&#8221; I know <em><strong>Law of Attraction</strong></em> always hears what you say and vibrate. The words to the song I had in my head when I started noticing all of this went like this: <em>shot to the heart and you&#8217;re to blame&#8230;you give love a bad name!</em>&#8221; I like this song, and I love Bon Jovi. But I had to decide if it was a good use of my walk and inner talk time to be repeating these words to myself. So for fun, I sang the song but changed the words a bit: <em>love with your heart it keeps you sane&#8230;I give love a good name!</em>&#8221; Just singing the new words to myself made me laugh and smile, and I swear I could feel my vibration raise. I felt better. So notice today what you say to yourself and see if it raises your vibration. If it doesn&#8217;t then change the words, the song, of the theme of your inner voices. It works for me and perhaps you will feel a positive difference in your vibration too. I hope so.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t tend to sing songs, just notice what you say to yourself in your mind. Are you kind to yourself, or do you put yourself down? Are you optimistic, or do you expect things to go wrong for you? You are in charge of the words you think. You have the control to make a positive change at any time you choose to. <em>Law of Attraction</em> will always respond and magnify your average vibration, and the words you think and the way you feel is what creates this vibration. Some people prefer reality shows, and others like movies; some prefer documentaries, while others thrive on news shows. It&#8217;s a great thing that everyone gets to choose what kinds of shows they invest their time and attention into. In the same way that our friends reflect our character as people, I think our TV tastes lend insight into our vibrational states as well. The kinds of programs you are attracted to are generally a match to the thoughts you have been thinking, and the feeling of the show most likely reinforces your present state. <em>You are what you watch</em>.</p>
<p>This is exactly how <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> works in your everyday reality. There are many things that you could give your time and attention to, and you have an ability to choose how you focus. Everything you see, observe, imagine, and participate in becomes your present and continued reality. <em>Law of Attraction</em> takes note of your preferences based on what you give your attention to, and then it supplies you with more of the same. It&#8217;s as if your life is a TV station that has an unlimited supply of the same reality show, and you get to view it over and over again. If you really, really like your show, you will be in a connected state, and you will be in the <strong><em>Vortex</em></strong>. You will have a feeling of exuberance and joy as you live your day. If you life feels disconnected most of the time, and you would say things could be going a lot better, it may be time to switch the channel to something that <em>feels</em> better. But how do you do this?</p>
<p>Changing your channel is not as hard as it sounds. Once you decide to give your attention to a new channel, <em>Law of Attraction</em> will start finding you some alternate programming to enjoy. However, don&#8217;t expect the next show to be a lot different than the present show. There will be a time lag between your new request and the new shows, so you have to turn your focus and stick with it until you attract something that feels a little better. Let me illustrate this another way&#8230;</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say you are looking for a job. Everywhere you go you get no interview, or you don&#8217;t get the job after the interview. Your reality show, then, is &#8220;<em>I don&#8217;t have a job</em>.&#8221; The cycle goes like this: you think the thought &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a job,&#8221; and then tell someone &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a job,&#8221; and then feel bad while you think &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a job,&#8221; and then you apply for a job while you think &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a job,&#8221; and on and on. <em>Law of Attraction</em> sends you more and more episodes of &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a job.&#8221; You feel bad and you are out of the <em>Vortex</em> altogether. Life seems to stuck in an endless cycle of reruns that feel bad. As soon as you realize that the show you have tuned into sucks, it&#8217;s time to change the channel. Hear your self think &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a job,&#8221; and then reach for a thought that feels a little better. You might think &#8220;I  have a job,&#8221; but that thought won&#8217;t feel good&#8230;it will feel worse because you know it isn&#8217;t true. So think &#8220;<em>I have a chance of getting a job soon</em>.&#8221; If that feels better than &#8220;I don&#8217;t have a job,&#8221; say it again to yourself. Think it for a short time, and you will be able to think an even better-feeling thought. You might think &#8220;<em>I will be in the right place and the right time to get a great job</em>.&#8221; If this feels better still, then you are doing the right thing to change your channel.</p>
<p>In a few days or maybe weeks, you will completely change the channel you have been experiencing in your reality show called life. Things will turn, you will have new opportunities, and before long you will have that new and exciting job. <em>Law of Attraction</em> will respond to whatever you give your attention to, so you have the ultimate control and power to be, do, or have anything you want. So today, observe what reality show you are living, and decide if you like it enough to watch endless reruns. If you like it, savor it and be <em><strong>grateful</strong></em> for it. If you don&#8217;t prefer it, start reaching for a better channel by thinking thoughts that feel better. The remote is in your hand, and you get to choose&#8230;always. If you like a certain TV show, you might wish down deep on some level that everyone would also like it as much as you do. When you figure out how to be connected to <strong><em>Source Energy</em></strong> more often, you want to share these insights with others. Especially when you come to a conclusion through a learning situation, you are likely to want everyone to benefit from your new and improved perspective. But when we want for others, we miss the point that everyone can only want from their own unique perspective. Unless you walk in someone&#8217;s shoes and feel the <strong><em>Emotional Guidance System</em></strong> that they have in place, you can never know why they choose their experience the way that they do. All you can really know is how YOU would choose from your unique perspective, and most of the time your choice and their choice will not be the same&#8230;and this is OK.</p>
<p>Experiences on this Earth are varied and diverse. You are but one piece of an ever-expanding dance of awareness, and everything you do to allow your own <strong><em>wellbeing</em></strong> benefits the whole. But if you look at others and condemn them for the choices they are making, you diminish your own wellbeing by needing to change others. You can think of the <strong><em>Universe</em></strong> as kind of a cosmic soup with many trillions of ingredients. The soup is managed by the forces of the <em>Universe</em>, including the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>. Your experience adds to the flavor of the soup, but you are not all of the soup. You wouldn&#8217;t want a soup to be only parsley, and you wouldn&#8217;t want but one perspective in the <em>Universe</em> either. So the ingredients need to interact, merge, and add flavor to the whole without competing with each other or diminishing the contributions to the whole.</p>
<p>No one needs to be, think, or act like you do for the <em>Universe</em> to be in its perfect order. If you see someone making a choice today that you know YOU wouldn&#8217;t make, bless it, be grateful, and move on with your own choices. Remember that focusing on someone&#8217;s choices <em>makes them into your choices</em>, given the time and attention to them. If you want peace, for example, don&#8217;t push against people who make war, but rather think peaceful thoughts, and look for peace-loving people to enter your experience. Your experience will be more fulfilling, fun, satisfying, and connected if you accept and appreciate the diversity of thoughts and beliefs on the planet. <p>For all of our <strong><em>Gratitude Planet</em></strong> community located outside of the United States who might not know it, today is Independence Day in the US. It&#8217;s a day to reflect on all the gifts we have, all the people that we appreciate, and the freedoms we enjoy in an open society. People are generally off work and are gathering with friends and family for a cookout and a local parade. It&#8217;s the perfect day to whip up some Gratitude and Thanks, and now is the perfect moment to let the horses run on a rampage of appreciation and gratitude. </p>
<p>Start with <strong>Thanks</strong>. Wherever you are right now, take two minutes and mentally list everything you can think of that you are thankful for. Your inner monologue may be something like &#8220;Thank you for the weather today, thank you for the air I am breathing, thank you for the clothes I am wearing, thank you for the eyes I use to see, thank you for my mind that helps me think, thank you for the &#8230;..&#8221; You get to decide what feels best to you. </p>
<p>Next take two minutes to be <strong>Grateful</strong>. It might go something like this: &#8220;I am grateful for my job (or job prospects), and I am grateful for my amazing living space that feels so good to be in, and I am grateful for my interactions with others, both in person and in cyberspace, and I am grateful for my coffee maker that creates a perfect morning drink for me, and I am grateful for&#8230;&#8221; Again, the words you choose are the right ones for you. Next move to <strong>Appreciation</strong>. Appreciation feels a little more connected than Gratitude, which is why you should move through Thanks, to Gratitude, and then to Appreciation. </p>
<p>So now, take two minutes and mentally list everything you appreciate. Don&#8217;t worry if you repeat some things that you have already said. Your inner monologue may be something like &#8220;I appreciate my spouse who loves me so much, and I appreciate my body and all its health and wisdom, and I appreciate my dog who always seems connected and free, and I appreciate <strong><em>Source Energy</em></strong> and its consistent flow of well-being into my experience, and I appreciate&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>If you do these three simple exercises, you will feel a shift in your vibration. You will move up the <strong>Vibrational Scale</strong>. Your cork will begin to float again&#8230;and you will definitely feel an expansion in the way you <em>feel</em>. You will be able to move into love and bliss. You will have done the inner work required to change your world for the better. You will be able to carry this vibration into your whole day. Hold them to you and be silent. Expand into the wonderful feeling of these gifts in your life. Sit quietly and picture yourself doing the things you love to do. See yourself sailing, or painting, or singing, or dancing, or laughing with others, or enjoying your new house, or your new relationship, or whatever...you know best and you get to choose.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/hard-work.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1309" title="hard-work" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/hard-work-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a>As consciousness having a human experience on planet Earth, we are by nature &#8220;doers.&#8221; We like to do things, and we like to see results from our actions. It is easy to start seeing our actions as the only way things come to us, and to put artificial pressure on ourselves to &#8220;do more&#8221; and to &#8220;be motivated.&#8221; Working harder can be fun, and seeing better and better results feels very good. But if you are seeing fewer results from your efforts than you would like to, it may be a good time to examine how you have been approaching your actions. Have you been inspired, or just motivated? If you have been a regular visitor to <a title="Gratitude Planet" href="http://www.gratitudeplanet.com" target="_blank"><em>GratitudePlanet.com</em></a>, you know that we encourage being present and expanding into <strong><em>not doing</em></strong> anything sometimes.</p>
<p>Not doing is a powerful way to let go and to <em>allow</em>. However, it doesn&#8217;t mean that you should sit in your house and wait for someone to come feed, clothe, and exercise your body for you! There is a time for not doing, and there is a time for doing. If you are in the habit of waking up to a full run and going about your day at light speed, you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially if the pace has been this way for a while. If so, try this approach for a week (if you need to rise earlier to get quiet time in your household, do so): wake and list <em>ten things</em> you appreciate or are grateful for in your life. Hold them to you and be silent. Expand into the wonderful feeling of these gifts in your life. Sit quietly and picture yourself doing the things you love to do. Don&#8217;t put limits on your own mind, and just allow yourself to experience these thoughts as if they were already a manifested experience in your reality.</p>
<p>As you do this exercise, you will start to receive important information from the <strong><em>Universe</em></strong> in the form of new pictures in your imagination, or in the form of a feeling of inspiration. You will come to a new awareness and clarity about what only you can do this day. You will get a clearer sense of your priorities and goals for the day, and you will be <em>inspired to move forward into action</em>. When you feel this, stop the meditation exercise and start the action side of your day, following the inspiration you have received.</p>
<p>Actions that are undertaken with uninspired motivation are harder to accomplish, less fun, and leave you feeling worse than before you did the action. <em>Inspired action</em> puts you into the flow of the <em>Universe</em>, so you enjoy the experience more, you have more ease in the process, and you have perfect timing with resources appearing effortlessly as they are needed. You will attract the things you need through <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>, and you will feel the perfection of the process more and more. Inspired action is easy and invigorating. Motivation can be draining over time. So today, notice how you are moving into your doing phase. Try this inspiration meditation for a week and journal all the things you accomplish. When you are <em>optimistic</em>, you are open to seeing things the way you want to see them. Remember that Law of Attraction responds to your average vibration over time, so it is key to hold a vibration that matches what you want to attract into your life. This means that you shouldn&#8217;t contradict your own desires if possible. But as humans, we tend to let our vibration swing between different emotions all the time. Sometimes you are hopeful, and then you might feel contented, and then bored, and then optimistic&#8230;your vibrational offering is really a moving target. If you can bring your thoughts, feelings, and action into a more focused offering, then you can attract more consistent results and enjoy every moment of your life more and more. Reginald B. Mansell said it well when he noted that &#8220;<em>A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities; an  optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties</em>.&#8221;</p>
<p>I woke up this morning thinking about the song &#8220;The Greatest&#8221; by Kenny Rogers. If you haven&#8217;t heard this song, you can hear it <a title="The Greatest (YouTube)" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQlMAoZF2Sk" target="_blank">HERE</a>. This song goes to the heart of how <em>optimism</em> and <em>Law of Attraction</em> work together. The boy in the song absolutely feels that he is the greatest ball player ever to walk the planet, and his vibrational offering is pure. And when the world gives him evidence to the contrary, he holds fast to his belief and makes the best of it. When you do this in your life, you summon the energy that creates Universes, and you open to manifesting the reality of your belief and desire. You don&#8217;t quit on your desire when most others would quit. You stay with the vibration long enough to see it become your reality. Read the words to yourself and feel the power and joy of the <em>optimism</em> in this song:</p>

<p>I know that some people think optimists are fools who sift through bad things and delude themselves. In fact, Don Marquis said that &#8220;<em>An optimist is a man who has never had much experience</em>.&#8221; But remember that <em>Law of Attraction</em> just reinforces what you ask for, so everyone is &#8220;right&#8221; in the debate. If you think the world sucks, the world will suck <em>for you</em> most of the time. If you think the world is beautiful, you will attract beauty <em>to you</em> much of the time. This may be why Sir Winston Churchill was quoted as saying &#8220;<em>For myself I am an optimist &#8211; it does not seem to be much use being  anything else.</em>&#8221;</p>
