Every night when you sleep, you emerge into a space where you are very allowing. You receive rest and inspiration. You let go of patterns that you might be keeping (for better or for worse) while you are awake. It is a great time to recharge. I have a technique that I have used for years to make that subconscious time even more valuable to your waking vibration: I say a short, allowing affirmation to myself before I fall asleep each night. It’s easy to do, takes almost no time, and you will feel the effects of it as soon as the next morning. Here’s what you do:
Lie quietly in your bed and close your eyes. You should be ready to drift to sleep. Create a present-tense statement that reflects something you are going to receive while you sleep. Let it be one sentence that feels good when you say it. If it is job related, you could say: “My co-workers always enjoy my leadership, and we are a fantastic team.” If it is prosperity related, you could say: “Money and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.” If you are wanting more friends, you might say: “I’m always in the right place at the right time to meet new and interesting friends.” You get the idea.
Now, what you do is you say the statement to yourself, in your mind, while feeling the truth of the statement. Have no doubt that you are allowing this thing to be attracted to you through the Law of Attraction. The first time you say the statement, emphasize EVERY word, and feel each word as a confirmation of the thing you are allowing. See each word in your mind. For example, if you use the statement for prosperity above, it might flash through your mind like this:
MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS
Feel the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the first word:
MONEY and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.
Again, feel deeply the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the second word:
Money AND abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.
Continue in this pattern until you emphasize each word of the affirmation in order. Finally, emphasize the whole sentence again. The whole sequence would look like this:
MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS!
MONEY and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money AND abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money and ABUNDANCE flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money and abundance FLOW to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money and abundance flow TO me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money and abundance flow to ME endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

At this point, relax and enjoy the fact that your mind is focused, your work is done, and your only job is to let the power of sleep do its work while you rest and receive. Look for evidence of the affirmation throughout the whole next day. You will see it. If you like the feeling of the statement, repeat it again for several nights. There is no need to do more than one statement a night. Just do it once and believe in the truth of it. Let the Law of Attraction respond to your asking without you having to “make it happen.” Enjoy, allow, receive, be grateful, and rest. Be.Love. Hannya-GP

Being grateful and appreciative for the things in your life (as well as the things you know are coming soon) is the engine that drives your amazingly-unfolding well being and your ever-expanding prosperity. You may already have a habit of waking each day and finding reasons to be happy and grateful. You may already find it easy to see the best in any situation. You may be getting really good at using affirmations, and you may be able to add to our Gratitude Board with thoughts that come easy to you. Good for you. So today I ask you this question: “Are you grateful for YOU?” Can you easily create a list of things that you appreciate about yourself? Are you able to give yourself credit for the amazing person you are today, regardless of the expansion you are experiencing today and will experience eternally? Are you aware of the unique gifts that only you can bring to this Earth, and are you willing to own, honor, and proclaim these to the Universe?
Some people find this difficult because they don’t want to seem egotistical or self-centered. But if you don’t have a healthy ego, you may be holding thoughts that contradict the way Source feels about you. Holding back your love of self sends a conflicted signal to Law of Attraction, and you may attract people, places, and events that reinforce this lack of love. And when you feel differently about yourself than the way Source feels about you, you are going to feel bad, unworthy, disconnected, and irritated, and out of the Vortex. In fact, if you have been doing diligent work to be aligned with appreciation, and you feel like you have your Attitude of Gratitude working most of the time…yet you still notice some disconnection or have been having some less-than-wanted things appearing in your experience…it may be time to be grateful for YOU more of the time!
Try to see if you can make a list of the things that you appreciate about yourself, and see if it is easy or difficult to do this exercise. Do it everyday, mentally or on paper, for a week and you may see a positive vibrational shift in your life. Source Energy loves you, thinks you are amazing, always sees you as worthy, and has already become everything you want to be. Relax, appreciate, and be grateful for YOU. Thank you so much… Be Well,

Exercise is a necessary ingredient to a healthy lifestyle, and making your exercise fun is a key component to doing it over the long term. When exercise is fun, fitness is easy. Haven’t you noticed that the things you actually like to do are always easy to do, and the things you dread the most are almost impossible to bear? I totally understand the mindset that pre-paves both of these experiences, yet it can be difficult to break out of old habits of thought to create and sustain a new vibration around exercise and fitness. Mark Twain (1835-1910) said that “A habit cannot be tossed out the window; it must be coaxed down the stairs a step at a time.” Sometimes all we need is a little “get up and go” (combined with fun) to change our habits a little at a time. Here is what I suggest: Take a Gratitude and Connection Walk. When I walk, I make it more fun by using my imagination, thoughts, and deliberate focus to feel better. Feeling better equals fun to me, and you probably feel much the same way.
Here’s how it works. Look at something…anything…that catches your attention. It can be a house in the neighborhood you are walking through, or a car, or a bird, or a trash can…anything you observe in your immediate environment.Simply say to yourself “I see a house…and I like its (fill in the blank).” So for example, someone might say, “I see a car, and I appreciate its deep blue paint job.” If you see something and you can’t think of anything to be grateful or appreciative about concerning it, find the best thought you have access to about it. This might sound something like “I see a dented car, and I appreciate that it’s not mine!” It’s OK if you just chuckle at yourself; but you did well finding something that felt true, and something that was the best thought you could think in the moment. The next thing you see, if you stick to reaching for gratitude and appreciation, will probably provide better things to like. Look for them, find them, and say them. Before long, the vibration within you will start to raise and expand to a very connected and blissful place.
One word of caution, however. This game can be played in the opposite direction, where you put down, make fun of, or become critical of the things you see. This will expand the vibrational range downward to thoughts that feel worse and worse the more you think them. The beauty is that you get to choose the direction that your thoughts flow, and when you feel better, everything looks, tastes, feels, and smells better. Your fifteen-minute walk that used to feel like two hours will feel more like fifteen minutes, and the fun you have raising your vibration will become the immediate payoff for your exercise. Instead of thinking “I really should take a walk today” you will begin to crave your Gratitude and Connection Time instead. Go ahead and get out today, alone or with a few close friends, and enjoy being deliberate about your joy! Be.Love, Hannya-GP

If you are feeling in the vibrational range of optimism or higher, it can be fun to go on a rampage of gratitude and appreciation. What you do is start naming things you love and appreciate, and let it snowball out of control. Let it lift you even higher into Expectation, Belief, Happiness, Passion, Love, and all the way to Bliss! It is important to be feeling at least in the range of optimistic before you try this, because you need access to thoughts that feel good to begin. If you are feeling, say, frustrated you will only have access to thoughts close to frustration, such as irritation or overwhelment. You CAN feel better by moving upward from frustration, but this game is not a good one unless you are already in a connected vibration.
Here is what you do: Say “I love (fill in the blank). Then say I appreciate (fill in the blank). Then perhaps, I am grateful for (fill in the blank). If you run out of things to love, appreciate or be grateful for, go more into depth about one of the things you already mentioned in a previous statement. For example, if you said “I appreciate my car,” and then draw a blank, follow up with “I love that my car is so dependable.” The fun really starts when you get a flood of ideas to be grateful for and to appreciate. The Law of Attraction is a consistent, fair, and always predictable law of the Universe: you attract to you the things that you give your attention to, regardless of if you want them. You have an ability to spin your perception in ways that make the best of any situation, and in doing so, you literally change the way that the Universe manifests for you. The most important part of harnessing the power of the Law of Attraction is to notice how you feel. If you feel good, you are attracting everything you are asking for vibrationally. If you feel bad, you are attracting things that you won’t like very much when they appear in your reality. But there is no need to stop thinking thoughts, or to panic and attempt to censor your mind. In fact, trying to stop a thought in its tracks is next to impossible. Instead, you are better off relaxing and redirecting your thoughts to something that feels a little better. The point is to notice how you feel, acknowledge where you are, and always move toward things that feel better. Simply turning from things that make you feel worse…just thinking about something else…is all you need to do to “stop” the thoughts that feel worse.
Not long ago I wrote about a game I play as I go through my day. It helps you keep track of how you are focusing your attention on any subject. I call it the “That Feels Good” game. In this game, you just pay attention to how your day unfolds in terms of how it feels to you. In this game there are only two phrases: “That feels bad” or “That feels good.” When you say “that feels bad” to yourself, it’s time to redirect. When you say “that feels good” to yourself, you just drink in and savor and appreciate the moment for the good feeling it brings. You might even follow a good-feeling experience deeper to see if it gets better and better.
Here are some examples to clarify this.
1. Someone who is talking to you shifts their focus to all the problems they have been experiencing. It goes on and on. You calmly say to yourself “this feels bad” and think of a way to redirect. You may give them words of comfort, or help them see a silver lining in the situation…or you may just be silent and let them talk themselves out. See if you can elicit a “that feels good” from your vibration. If you can’t then it’s time to move on to another encounter with someone else, as opposed to helping them whip up the disconnection by participating fully in it.
2. You are in a grocery story in the checkout line, and someone cuts the line. You feel some negative emotion and say to yourself “that feels bad.” You have two choices. You can continue to feel bad and maybe even confront the person, or possibly stew about it to yourself, or start talking to another customer about the “injustice,” or you can find something else to focus upon that feels better. In this case you might notice an adorable child in the cart behind you, smile at it, and start up a very pleasant conversation with the parent of the child. If so, you might feel you connection return. You would say “that feels good.” Then continue to enjoy the interaction. The line cutter is no longer part of your vibrational attraction.
3. You are out shopping and the day is going well: the lights all turn green as you roll up, you get the parking spaces you want, and the traffic is flowing well. Every time you notice one of these events going your way, just say out loud or to yourself “that feels good.” Smile and rejoice that you have perfect timing. Bask in it. Noticing that acknowledging that you feel good actually makes you feel even better.
4. You are having a good time at work, and all your activities feel rewarding. Suddenly an email comes in from someone who recently had a disagreement with you. You look quickly to determine that there is no new information in the letter, and you notice strongly “that feels bad.” In a microsecond you tap the DELETE key, and in a few seconds you begin to feel your connection return. Before long, you will be able to say, once again, “that feels good.”
This is a game, so there is no need to be serious about it. Just notice how you feel and what you say to yourself in your “inner speak.” If you don’t have strong feelings either way, just say nothing. By following your bliss throughout the day, you will enjoy the process more, you will love the day more, and you will be using the Law of Attraction to put everything you want at your finger tips. It’s Memorial Day in the United States, and I just love an extra day to just remember the things that I am grateful for. It makes me think of the song “Let There Be Peace On Earth” because of the message it contains: “Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.” It makes sense that we should be like the thing we want, because that’s how the Law of Attraction lines you up with things. Law of Attraction draws things to you by sensing your vibration and matching it with other thoughts, feelings, and experiences that are similar. And as we have been discussing in others posts on GP, giving your attention to something is all you have to do to start vibrating like it. You are what you think, and what you interact with and focus on becomes your point of attraction…meaning that the Universe is bringing you more and more of it constantly. The phrase “and let it begin with me” is very wise advice for deliberate creators because it puts the emphasis right where it belongs: on you!
When you want to attract something to you, you need to vibrate and become one with it first. In practical terms, if you want more money and prosperity, you must first begin to feel like you have more money and prosperity. If you want an intimate relationship with a new person, you have to feel like the person is already there. If you want peace for the Earth, you must first make peace with yourself and the people in your immediate vicinity.
Try this today: make a list of several words that you think best describe what you want to see in others, or in the world. Only you know the best words for you today, but some of these might include: honest people, caring friends, peaceful world, loving family, prosperous economy, thriving health, etc.. Choose one and decide that you are going to let this greater desire begin with YOU! Become quiet, breathe calmly and deeply, and “see” yourself having achieved this greater desire. Feel how you would feel if it were already yours to have. Imagine others interacting with you and commenting on this thing you now have, and how great you look and feel having achieved it. Project this feeling outward toward everything in the Universe. Expand into the knowing that you were able to align with these desires easily, and that you can do it again…easily…on any subject you choose. Give thanks and end the visualization with the knowledge that you have literally created a point of attraction that will create magic in your day. You are now ready to line up with evidence of your alignment through perfect timing, “chance” encounters, and new and exciting developments in all areas of your life. Stick to one or two desires for two to four weeks, and just enjoy the process of already having what you want to see in the world. Say to yourself, “Let there be _____ on Earth, and let it be me, breathe me, and live through me right now.” Try it and let us know how it worked for you. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

It has been said in many circles that perception is reality. But science, and quantum physics specifically, is beginning to explain that this is literally true. In the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know” evidence is presented that explains how we interact with the quantum field. In essence, they explain that energy exists in a wave when no one observing it, and it exists in particle form when someone IS observing it. The observer literally changes the reality of the quantum field through interacting with it. If we have this ability to snap reality into place when we observe it, then why can’t we have an effect over the reality it embodies? Leading scientists are saying exactly this: we create reality with our perception of it. Over the years philosophers have hinted at this, and even Shakespeare said that “life is a stage,” equating it with the made-up reality of theater. If you can accept the role you play in the creation of reality through your perception, and if you can accept that your perception is greatly affected by the thoughts you think, then you can logically conclude that your thoughts create reality…literally. Knowing this, doesn’t it make sense that you would want to frame your perception to suit your greater desires? How would you do this? Here are a few examples:
1. Stuck in traffic: held up so I can meet up with something important later today.
2. Not in a relationship: getting ready to meet the perfect person who is almost ready to meet me.
3. Unhealthy: honing a strong desire to allow better health and thriving.
4. Stressed: focused and productive and ready to relax very soon.
5. Broke: creating amazing prosperity through strong contrast around money.
6. Uninspired: ready for a new direction
You may think that these are just euphemisms for bad-feeling thoughts. Yes, it’s true. But the feelings behind these thoughts are what really matters here. If you can learn to spin these thoughts into the best possible story you can tell, then you can learn to find the best in ALL stories you tell. Feel the relief that the new statement brings to your consciousness. Assure yourself that you are literally changing the quantum field with your improved framing of reality. Soon you will see reality bending to your interpretation of it. People will call you lucky and fortunate. You will have things begin to work out for you in amazing ways. You will become the master of your life. When people ask, you will say, “I decide what form my quantum field takes, and I am picky about the things I like to experience.” Or maybe you will just smile and say thanks for the support. Either way, taking control of your life will feel wonderful, and you will be in the Vortex of creation where Law of Attraction can bring you all you desire. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

Today I offer my TOP 12 reasons I can think of to be grateful and appreciative. What would your list look like, based on your day?
1. Thank You for the way I awoke refreshed this morning, feeling good and in the Vortex.
2. I am grateful for Law of Attraction that always matches me up with more of what I think, feel and do.
3. I appreciate my partner who had sweet things to say to me over a cup of coffee. Even my coffee smiled at me!
4. I love the way the sun came up to shine a clear ray at me and warm my face.
5. I am grateful for my car that starts every day and gets me to work safely.
6. I give thanks for the safe drivers on the freeways who are clear minded and connected.
7. I give thanks for my iPod (and car input jack) that is always ready to serenade me with my favorite songs.
8. I appreciate my job for the prosperity and fun it brings to my daily life.
9. I love my family for being who they are and for loving me as I am.
10. I am grateful for the smiles I receive from strangers I see while walking the sidewalks of my city.
11. I appreciate the internet for making my life easier to manage and easier to navigate through.
12. I am grateful for the Source Energy pulsing through every fiber of my consciousness. I am alive, free, and eternal! Thank you so much… Be Well,

I think it’s human nature to look into the world and hope to see great things everywhere. Hope feels good. It certainly IS great to be in beautiful settings of nature, or with friends you adore. But when you can’t find connection by observing your surroundings, it is your job to look inward and find the connection you want and deserve. The Law of Attraction is always responding to your thoughts, feelings, and actions, and you have ultimate control over these aspects of your expressions. You can imagine the beautiful scenes, and picture the people you love and appreciate. The Universe can’t tell the difference between what you think about and what you observe. So if you want to change your experience, instead of waiting for circumstances to change, simply change your focus and your thoughts, and let the change come to you. Take time to be quiet and still, and turn your thoughts to things that feel good while you think them. Be steadfast to the thoughts you enjoy thinking when you think them. Expand your imagination to include thoughts and images that transcend your present “reality” so that you can “see” yourself doing the things you want to do, driving the car you want to own, or kissing the mate you want to attract. Being connected to Source Energy is an inside job, and it’s the most important job you have; all good things will flow to you when you are connected to your Source. So if you find yourself observing someone or something that makes you disconnect from your inner being, stop, redirect, and remember that you have the ability to turn it around. In fact, you are the ONLY one who can turn it around for YOU. Your joy and connection are always available for you to access, but you just have to give your attention to things that feel good to you. See if you can do this just a little more today, and get ready to see the positive results appearing in your experience. Life in the Vortex is oh so much fun! Be Well, Chris-GP

The rules of the Law of Attraction are quite easy to understand, but are perhaps more difficult to practice deliberately. Simply stated, you attract to you the things that match your vibration. Your life, then, unfolds perfectly based on what the Universe “hears” you asking for. You never stop asking, however. You ask with every thought, with every thing you observe, and with every interaction you have with everything. We are all perpetual askers. Another way to say this is that you ask for what you want by focusing on it, and you ask for what you don’t want by focusing on it. Both (wanted and unwanted) are drawn into your experience by your attention to them. It makes sense, then, to give your full attention to the things you want so that you can manifest the wanted things into your experience.
If you have been playing with these ideas, but are a little frustrated that things are not happening more quickly for you, you may be taking score too soon. Once you have asked for something, usually by living some contrast that clarifies what you do want…you need to change your focus slightly. If you keep thinking of yourself as someone who needs the new thing, you may be keeping yourself in a pattern where the Universe brings you more of the same. Universal Forces line you up with things that match the essence of where you are…but the Law of Attraction doesn’t care if you are experiencing something, or just living it in your imagination: it matches you up with more of where you think you are vibrationally. For example, if you ask for money because you don’t have much, the Universe “hears” you and lines you up with more money. But the vibration you need to align with to manifest it fully is “I have more money” and not “hey, where’s my money!” It’s an amazing Catch 22 here…you can’t have it until you feel you already have it…but as long as you don’t have it, it’s tricky to feel like you have it.
Here is something I suggest to get you through the doubt stages of manifestation. Once you have identified something you are asking for, be it prosperity, a new relationship, a better job, or whatever, relax and affirm that your “work” is completed. Visualize the essence of this thing in your mind, and see it already coming to you in full form and completion. Feel the complete thrill of having it already. See yourself enjoying it in as many ways as you can imagine. See yourself telling others how much fun you are having with the thing in your experience. Picture it, but more importantly feel and love the essence of it right now.
Once you have done this visualization (and do it as often as you can), start looking right away for evidence of it coming to you, and be grateful and appreciative for every sign you see. If you are looking for more money, pick up that penny in the street and tell yourself “see, I am prosperous and the Universe brings me unexpected income. This is just the tip of the ice burg for me.” Resist the temptation to say something like “just a penny? Universe, I never have enough. You didn’t HEAR me, did you?” If you look for the small clues, and affirm that they are attached to bigger and bigger clues that eventually usher in the full manifestation, you will rejoice in the smaller evidence as if it were the whole experience coming into your full awareness. The clues ARE there. Your wellbeing is assured. Let go, look for evidence of it, and appreciate the magic of the Law of Attraction. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

There are times in your life when you know exactly what you want, and you can get very focused in terms of manifesting it. There are other times, however, where you can seem to be waiting for inspiration to take hold and guide you toward the next thing you want. Either way, life has gifts for you to enjoy. When you have been experiencing periods of contrast, you get a clear picture of what you want to manifest. For example, if you get really sick, then you create a very strong desire for health…and Law of Attraction answers immediately by creating a vibrational YOU who is in better health. If you have financial challenges that get chronic, then you create a very strong desire for prosperity…and Law of Attraction answers immediately by creating a vibrational YOU who is experiencing immense wealth and prosperity. You job, once this has all been done, is to become the new you with the expanded experience. It isn’t about attracting the new thing. You are literally becoming a new you, experiencing a new vibration with an expanded perspective. This is important because most people try to allow the new thing from the place where they are standing…in essence, trying to vibrate differently from the same vibrational standpoint. To move ahead into a new vibration you need to relax, allow, and be willing to be the new you. Yet, your ego perspective will do it’s best to talk you into staying in the same patterns that you have established. The ego likes to hold on to what it has for fear of losing everything. Yet, there is no end to the expansion of the Universe, and you will always be alive in some form. If you want to experience a new manifestation, play with the idea of being a new you…the idea of changing enough to be the new you with the new thing. If you do this, you will more easily imagine yourself in the new vibration, having a thrilling experience in the new place as the new you. To be grateful means that you are appreciative of the circumstances in your experience. It means that you give thanks for gifts in your life, and that you approve of your present moment in very specific ways. Being grateful is a key step to setting yourself free from whatever bondage you find yourself in. Most people live within their self-imposed limits in terms of what they think, how they feel, and the actions that they let themselves take. Remember that the Law of Attraction brings you more of what you give your attention to. Practicing an Attitude of Gratitude helps you relax into the flow of your life by letting go of your self-imposed resistance by using a habit of positive thinking. Through your gratitude and appreciation, you see evidence in your experience of things working out for you. You feel the pride of good news in your life. You take action in a secure knowing that things can go your way, and probably will work out for you in a positive way. As you practice and perfect your ability to be grateful for both big and small gifts in your life, you will be able to let go of worry more often, and you will be more open to receiving the full connection of Source Energy into your experience. Through your connection to Source, you will find true freedom. You will feel that anything is possible for you, and that your past limitations were entirely self-imposed through your past perceptions. Start listing what you are grateful for each day, and keep adding to the list. If it is hard to think of many things, keep trying. The more you do it, the easier it gets. With Valentines Day coming this weekend, everyone is thinking, feeling, and talking about how the energy of love moves in and out of their life. I want to offer some loving statements for you to ponder. I am ready to let more love and joy into my life, and I know you probably feel the same. Here are my statements for love and Valentine’s Day!
- Love flows to me, through me, and all around me always!
- People love me always, even if they struggle to show it in ways I can see. I accept their love completely.
- Love from Source Energy is never ending, all powerful, and only limited by my ability to relax and allow it. Therefore, I am in love always!
- I love me. I may not always please me, or anyone for that matter, but I always love me.
- My actions, thoughts, and feelings are in direct expression to my knowing that all is well, and that Love is why we are here. I live in love and joy!
- My Inner Being loves me in every moment. I choose to think more and more like my Inner Being. I see and believe in the love flowing to me always!
- I choose to share my loving connection with others. I love without condition, and I accept the reactions I get from this giving. It maters not how I am received…I give either way.
- I relax, I allow, and I receive love from Planet Earth. I know that all systems are functioning to keep us alive, healthy, and thriving. I give gratitude and appreciation for the planet we travel through space upon, and I love it in all its aspects.
- I love all the lovers I have ever had, and will ever have, both in this life, in past lives, and in future lives. Thank you for all the love, insights, connected moments, and deep expressions I have been blessed to share with you.
- I love. Period.

My first post on optimism was called “Optimism is a Choice” and can be read by clicking HERE if you haven’t already digested it. Optimism is one of the emotional range levels on the Vibrational/Emotional Scale, somewhere above the feelings of “hopefulness and contentment.” When you are in optimism you are in the vibrational flow of the Universe enough that the Law of Attraction can bring you evidence of the positive changes you have asked for in your experience. Optimism aligns you with allowing, and it is the gateway to the more powerful emotions of allowing such as Gratitude, Positive Expectation, Belief, Enthusiasm, Eagerness, Happiness, Passion, Joy, Knowledge, Empowerment, Freedom, Love, Bliss, and Appreciation. It is the “gate keeper” to the Vortex, where the Law of Attraction “assembles all cooperative relationships.” Reach for optimism, and you reach for your connection to Source Energy and your inspiration to action as communicated through your inner being. But how do you become an optimistic person? You simply practice doing it until it becomes a habit. Here are several tips to practice being optimistic today:
- Remember that few things on planet Earth are 100% sure. In any scientific study, or poll of people, you will have a split of opinions and findings, and a margin of error. For example, if a large percentage of people believe that they will get the flu this year, there are also some people that believe that they will NOT come down with the flu. This will play out in “reality” and some will and some won’t get the flu. Even if 90% of people get the flu, you can affirm at any time that you will be one of those people who will remain completely healthy. TIP SUMMARY: No one, not even a majority of people, can force me to believe anything that I do not choose to believe.
- You can always use your power of focus to direct your thoughts toward what you want at all times. Use affirming statements when you are driving, exercising, or drifting off to sleep. Some of my favorites are “I always find a parking space,” and “I have perfect timing in all things,” and “I always have enough to be happy,” and “Today is going to be a great day,” and “Things always work out for me,” and “I expect to see and draw to me happy and connected people today,” and “My dreams tonight will be fun, exciting, and inspiring.” TIP SUMMARY: You are in complete control of the thoughts you choose to think, and you can use affirmations to help you make optimism a habitual vibrational offering.
- You can help others see potential positive aspects in things. When you are listening to someone talk, you can find the best in what they are saying and reinforce it back to them. You can say “What I hear you saying is that your perfect job is on the way, and that you will be in the right place at the right time when your perfect job opens up. That’s awesome!” Even if they didn’t say it to you with those exact words, it is uplifting to decide to take their words with an optimistic slant. There are other times where you will have to insert an optimistic phrase in an otherwise pessimistic conversation. Be careful not to be annoying, but also let them know that you see it a little differently. You might say “ya, jobs are hard to find, so I understand your frustration. But I know you will get a great job soon. People thrive in all times, and I see you thriving in my mind’s eye. All is well.” You should feel a little softening in their resistance if your words are phrased carefully. TIP SUMMARY: You can practice your optimism every time you are face-to-face with others.
I love knowing that I can be one of the growing number of people that choose to see the world as opening, evolving, growing, connecting, loving, and allowing. I am elated that I get to choose if I connect or disconnect through my thinking. I am grateful that my interaction with others can be of great value to others. I so appreciate the times when I can be uplifted by the thinking and words of others. I love turning and giving my attention to things that feel good, and making the best out of the things that feel like contrast. I love striving to see my glass overflowing with wellbeing. I love living the results and manifestations that I am enjoying from thinking optimistically over time. Hi Everyone. I would like to offer a list of very “true” and maybe somewhat obvious reasons for you to love your day today. May it be an inspiration for you to be feeling good and allowing your wellbeing throughout the day!
- Today is the only day I will live today…I’ll make the most of it.
- I can breathe deeply into my lungs…and air is free and abundant.
- My body recharged overnight, and I had a safe place to sleep.
- I will eat some good food today that will feed my body and fill it with energy.
- I love the opportunity this day brings to do something new, and think something new.
- I appreciate that there are people I love, and that love me too.
- Law of Attraction is on the job today, and everyday, managing all cooperative components of my experience.
- I love that the Earth keeps spinning in its perfect orbit, changing the seasons and keeping us thriving.
- I love that in places where contrast is being experiences, more and more wellness is being created that will bloom and manifest over time.
- I love that we can never get “it” done, so I will do the things on my plate today. My timing and unfolding will be perfect today.

I encourage you to just jot down the first five things that come to your mind concerning your new focus for 2010. See if your list resembles this one, or of you come up with things that match your specific intentions more closely than this list. If you watched the movie “The Secret” you probably recall a section of the film about the use of “Vision Boards.” I have been using this tool for over twenty years, with amazing results every single time. I am going to write a series of posts about this topic because I think it can be a fun and powerful way to interact with the Law of Attraction in your life. If you haven’t seen the movie, you will need to know just what we are talking about. A Vision Board, or as I have always called it, a Treasure Map, is simply a collection of positive images you collect, arrange together, and spend time with each day. Some people get a cork board and use tacks, and others use cardboard and glue. What you make it out of doesn’t matter. The energy you put into it DOES matter very much.
The Law of Attraction works easily and consistently, and it’s always a three-step process: 1. You ask for something through your vibrational contrast; 2. The Universe immediately answers your asking by vibrationally creating the thing you have asked for; 3. You allow Law of Attraction to manifest the thing into your life by becoming tuned into the new vibration you have asked for and created. Vision Boards help you with the Step 3 process by assisting you to become attuned to the new vibration. Another way to say this is, you have to believe you already have the thing you have asked for in order to match its vibration. But how do you feel like you have the new thing before is has manifested? Vision Boards can help because for many people, seeing IS believing.
When I was just out of college I decided that I wanted to go to graduate school for a masters degree and, someday, a Ph.D. I wasn’t ready to go right away, and I didn’t know where I would apply either. But I had created an asking for the experience, as well as for an expansion in my professional career. So I decided to create my first Vision Board. I found back issues of my professional journals and arranged them in a pile. I then took a manila file folder and opened it up and cut it in half so that I had an area about 8.5″ X 12″. Armed with a glue stick and a pair of scissors, I began pouring through the journals looking for images and words that supported my newly-created vibrational vision. I was looking for images of people doing what I wanted to do, and particularly for images that felt good when I looked at them. I also looked for phrases that used words that I liked. One of the images I liked was an advertisement for a University that had six head shots of the faculty, as well as superlatives about the school. I also was drawn to some critical reviews of some people’s work, and cut out a glowing headline praising a persons skills. “That’s the kind of thing I want someone to say about me someday,” I thought. After a while I had about ten images and several phrases of text. Next, I started arranging the images and text on the cardboard into a pleasing visual pattern. Once I was happy with it, I glued each image down. For the final touch, I found a picture of myself and pasted it right over one of the faculty head shots in the advertisement. Yes, there I was, on the faculty of this major University! The superlative phrases were now referring to me! I was very pleased with the final Vision Board.
Once I had created it, I put it by the bed and took it out every night before I went to sleep. I would spend two to five minutes looking at it, and allowed myself to enjoy the feeling of the visions and words. I didn’t contradict my feelings by switching to “reality.” I told myself that this vision WAS real, and that it was OK to feel really good about it. I played a game, but more importantly, I allowed the game to feel real. Once you get into the vibrational range of the thing you are asking for, Law of Attraction easily lines you up with what you want. Within a short time I had opportunities to meet people who helped me find the schools I attended. I had “Chance” meetings with people who opened doors, or who gave me the encouragement I needed.
After a while, I didn’t even look at the vision board anymore because I was already living the essence of the vibration of the images. Years later, after I had my Ph.D., I found this original Vision Board and got a chuckle looking at it. Someone had told me, to my face, one of the superlative phrases on my board…but I forgot I had put it on the board, so I failed to make the connection. Now I saw it there. Wow. And the advertisement for the University? I had cut out the name of the University on my board, and pasted my face on it; turns out, I attended the very same University (1,500 miles from where I had grown up and was living and working) and studied with the people in the advertisement. I had totally forgotten this connection as well. So it worked…and it worked really well. More on this in Part 2. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

When you ask for something through your vibrational output (and this happens automatically and continuously), the Law of Attraction lines you up with it. Your life is a constant reflection of what you have been thinking and vibrating in the past. Luckily, when you think something and feel a certain way, it doesn’t manifest instantly. Imagine if what you thought became “real” as you thought it. If you felt disconnected and powerless, you would immediately crash your car, or become deadly sick. But our thoughts take time to manifest, and it takes a certain amount of momentum to create a manifestation. What you experience in any given moment is more of a vibrational average of what you have been offering over time. This is why when you think a connected thought, you don’t see instant well being…and when you think a disconnected thought, you don’t get instant contrast. This is a great thing, trust me.
Now, this leads us to the fact that you will always be moving between connection and disconnection, feeling good and feeling not-so-good. It’s part of being human on Planet Earth. Disconnection (or contrast) helps you clarify what you want by identifying what you don’t want. In every disconnected moment you literally create something new in your vibration. Once it is created, you have the opportunity to attract it to you and allow it to manifest. Until you create it (through contrast) it literally does not exist for you. So your job is to move through your day, notice how you feel, and do your best to feel the best you can.
But when you find yourself in a bad-feeling, disconnected moment of great contrast…take a deep breath and affirm that “I just expanded my asking, and I am ready to move back into feeling better. I am an amazing creator!” You will never feel good all the time. It’s alright to expand and create through feeling disconnected occasionally. Just remember that you can’t allow your new creation while you are creating it. You job, once you feel better, is to receive your new expansion through feeling good. Start today by simply noticing when you are creating, and when you are allowing. If you feel not-so-good, you are creating. If you feel good, you are allowing. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

The Law of Attraction is a very consistent law of the Universe. Simply stated, we get more of what we think about. But mastering the Law of Attraction is not as simple as thinking certain thoughts and ignoring other thoughts. The reason why is that the Universe responds to your vibration, and not to your words. So when you attempt to think certain words, without paying attention to how you feel when you think the words, you may be attracting something different than what you think you are attracting. It’s always about the vibration you are sending out…which is why it makes good sense to expand your skills of knowing how you feel. This explains, to a large degree, why people are surprised by what they attract. I will hear someone say “there is absolutely no way that I attracted this event into my experience.” They will go on to say how “positive” they have been, and all the things they do to stay connected to Source Energy. I applaud their desire for connection, and also their best efforts to make it happen. In the end, you are lined up with with more things that match the essence of your average vibrational offering. So if you have been feeling relatively powerless while trying to think positive words, the Universe only hears you say “I am powerless” and brings you more events, people, and opportunities for you to feel powerless.
Today, pay even greater attention to how you feel when you offer your words to yourself and others. Try to feel what message you are sending out to all corners of the Universe. Know that you are asking for more of how you are feeling…and make it your sincere desire to feel good as much as possible. Feeling good puts you in a place where your positive words can match your vibrational asking. Then you can get even more excited about how your life will unfold, thrill you, and expand in amazing ways that will spiral upward and upward. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

I had a minor revelation a couple of nights ago as I pondered how I felt and how I was interacting with others. I realized, in a deeper way than ever before, that I can offer little to others if I am not connected to Source Energy myself. When you feel connected, you feel good. Connection feels like fun, expansion, gratitude, and appreciation. Feeling good is your number one job, especially if you want to be of value to others. And yet, we have been told by many that the best way to serve others is through hard work and sacrifice. The message was something like “don’t be selfish, put others first, give more than you take, and do it as long as you can keep it up. Someday, after your death, you will be rewarded.” I am sure that you have received this message in some form, at some time, from people in your life. Here are five things to remember as you put all this into perspective:
1. There is no shortage of Source Energy. It exists in abundance and will never run out.
2. You are worthy to receive Source Energy. There is no test to pass to make you worthy. It is yours for the taking, and it is free.
3. When you allow Source Energy to flow through you, you have everything to give. When you are disconnected from Source Energy, you have very little to give, and what you try to do from sheer work won’t make as much of a difference to others.
4. When you are motivated without being connected to Source Energy, people will be less inspired by your words and actions. Your intention to uplift others will be watered down. When you are inspired through your connection to Source Energy, people will sense your enthusiasm, your genuine gratitude and appreciation, and your full belief that all is well.
5. The Law of Attraction works the same if you are connected to Source Energy, as it does if you are NOT connected to Source Energy. So it is impossible, by Universal law, to attract something different than your own vibrational offering. Through your conscious connection to Source Energy, you set the bar that determines your power, expansion, allowing, and value to others.
The insight I received the other evening happened when I was feeling good while talking over dinner. The conversation was fun and expanding, and I had so much to say that felt good while I said it. At one point the conversation, for what ever reason, turned to a topic that didn’t feel as good. Without thinking, I joined in and helped the conversation feel worse and worse, adding comments and stories that moved me away from my Source Energy. I started moving down the vibrational scale until I felt pretty disconnected and even sad. I could see that my friends were also feeling the “buzz kill” of the conversation. Now, from my disconnection I decided to uplift the table by saying things that felt a little better. However, I was trying to offer these words before I felt better myself. Saying the words actually made me feel worse, and I could tell that it felt awkward to the others too. So then I remained quiet for a short time, maybe two minutes, and just thought thoughts of gratitude and appreciation. Talking to myself felt easier than trying to change others from my point of disconnection, and within two minutes I had a good-feeling vibration rolling again. My next offering to the group was met with smiles and felt like it made a positive difference to the vibration of the group. Notice today when you move ahead in your connection to Source Energy, and when you just move ahead to make something happen. Start being more sensitive to the way you feel when you are working, and when you are flowing with Source. Flow more, work less, and be filled with love and gratitude. Enjoy this most amazing day! The Chinese philosopher Confucius (551-479 BCE) is often attributed the quote “Choose a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” There is so much wisdom in this saying, and it seems to be a major component of living a happy life with purpose. When you love your job, every day is a day filled with growth and expansion. You are able to commit yourself to being present because you don’t have the distraction of wishing you were somewhere else, or wishing away the time while you feel bored and unengaged. There are few (if any) jobs that don’t have some aspect of “have to’s” associated with them. But I know that loving your job spills over into everything else you do, and the happiest people I know seem to have fulfilling and meaningful work that they like to one degree of another.
But what about if you don’t love your job, or what if you really dislike your job? You have two choices. You can use this feeling of unhappiness to launch a new desire for a better job, and then you can be ready to act when the time for inspired action arrives. Or you can just complain, tell a sad story to anyone who will listen, and whip up an amazingly disconnected feeling every time you think of your work. Obviously only the first choice is the productive choice. But it can be difficult to see something positive inside something you have whipped up to a negative feeling/vibration. Remember that the Law of Attraction can only bring you more of what you have, so it is never in your best interest to perpetuate a story that feels bad. Instead, you have to tell a different story to anyone who will listen. You have to look for the small things you love about your job that you might have been subconsciously ignoring. Take these small things and turn them into BIG things. For example, you may not enjoy attending meetings in your job. Instead of waking and dreading the day because of a 1:00 PM meeting you have to attend, be grateful for the coffee break you will have with your friend at 10:00 AM. Create an inner dialogue that is playful, even for tasks that are repetitive. I know that when I have to, say, stuff 1,000 envelopes I find some sort of game to play, with my own made-up rules and with crazy goals that make me laugh. To someone watching, it looks like I am just going about my business and working. But my inner thinking is amusing me to no end. If you hate your job, remember that you have the real power to sustain that vibration or to change that vibration. You can make your vocation your vacation, with just a little change of focus and with a little bit of redirection in your inner speak.
And here’s the most important part of all of this. If you are stuck in a job you dislike, and you find a way to love it and enjoy it…it’s highly likely that you will be offered another job that you like even more. When you hate your job, the Law of Attraction will keep you in it because it matches you with more of what you are experiencing. You may be fired, but you will attract another job you hate. So if you choose (right now) to love your job more, then more opportunities for work you enjoy will be made available to you in very short order. Do what you love and love what you do…as much as possible…and let the magic or your life take a firm hold and amaze you with every turn. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

There is an old New England joke that goes something like this! STRANGER TO LOCAL: “Good morning sir. Do you know how to get to Bar Harbor?” (pronounced “Bar-har-bur”) LOCAL TO STRANGER: “Yup, I do…but you can’t get there from here.” (pronounced “they-ah from hee-ah”) The joke is funnier when you realize that there are some places in Maine that are close by across the water, but much farther by car. In essence, you have to drive somewhere else first to get there directly. The phrase makes perfect sense of another truth regarding the Law of Attraction: You can’t get to a new place (vibration, manifestation, etc.) from where you are…you have to become a match to the new vibration first.
Think about the things you are wanting to attract into your life: health, wellbeing, a new relationship, prosperity, a new job…whatever it may be. You can’t get there from here. The reason you don’t have it is because you are vibrating (sending out a signal to the Universe) as a person without it. You may be confused at this point because of all our posts about being present and living in the NOW. You may ask “how can I live in the now and hold a vibration different than the one I have now?” Indeed, this is a paradox. The trick is letting yourself feel the feeling of being or achieving the new thing in this moment. This is different than seeing yourself achieving or being this thing in the future. Another way to think of this is to realize that you are not attracting something new to you, but you are instead changing into a new person who has the new thing. When you say “I’ll be different when I have money,” the implication (vibration) is “I have no money.” You can’t get there from here. But you can allow yourself to feel prosperous NOW, and to feel like the new person NOW, and to take action like a prosperous person NOW, and to be in a new vibration of prosperity NOW. You will have moved from here to there, to a place where you can feel like the new person with the new and present vibration, and Law of Attraction can then bring the full manifestation into your awareness very quickly. Be willing to change, and be playful about your thoughts. Linger in feelings that feel good while you think them. Even a little shift from where you are, into a direction of where you would rather be, will harness the Law of Attraction in very powerful ways.
