Today I took a very brisk run and started my day off with a healthy dose of exercise. Sometimes it can be hard to get myself out there in my running clothes, but today I did it with very little resistance from my own thinking. (I like when that happens!) And today I had a minor revelation about why exercise is particularly healthy. Sure, your blood pumps, and your heart strengthens, oxygen increases in your lungs, and your muscles are used and stretched…but what happens in your head…how does Law of Attraction work and what other benefits come from exercise? We know that some people benefit in similar ways from quite different amounts of exercise, and studies have shown similar benefits from either walking or running for the same amount of time. So why run when you can walk, right? I just like running, for one thing, and I think there is another big element at play here as well. That element is your presence.
When I start exercising, my mind is awash in all the details of my cluttered mind such as work, the house, the clothes to do, supper to make, bills to pay, or whatever. But as soon as my body begins to to tire and I start breathing harder, and as soon as the way my body feels gets 100% of my attention, I feel an immediate and positive shift. I suddenly come to focus in the moment, and there is nothing on my mind except what I am doing: running. I feel my breath, I feel my feet, I feel the air going by, and all the clutter in my mind goes away completely. I shift from living in the past and future to living only in the present moment, and in doing so, I enter the Vortex. Being in the Vortex makes everything seem easier. I get my runner’s stride, and I relax and let the rhythm of the running take me. I stop working on anything. I enter a world of just being.
Exercise is something you can do so that you can do nothing. Interesting, isn’t it? But I am confident that it is the presence and point of NOW that makes it all so powerful. Being in the moment is what makes your vibration raise, and when your vibration raises, all good things begin to flow to you through the Law of Attraction. When you exercise, you are forced to be present as your body demands your attention. So don’t think of exercise as something you have to do to be healthy, but rather as something you get to do to do nothing. Sounds a lot easier, doesn’t it? Try your favorite kind of exercise with this intention, and see if you feel better. Exercise creates a presence of mind, and the presence creates a flow of Source Energy and wellness. If you are anything like me, you have spent a lot of time in your life focusing on the future and trying to expand your life into new and better circumstances. You probably envision a future where the things you want flow easily and freely to you, and you see yourself happy and contented. On my best days, I know this is true for me. But I have also noticed that when the new thing or circumstance arrives, I occasionally long for the the way things used to be. While I really wanted the new and evolving life circumstances, I sometimes wish I had enjoyed the things I used to have even more while I had them. I am sure you can all relate to this. It can be a challenge to love the things you have while you have them, especially as you look to the future with longing for something new. Law of Attraction works in your favor most efficiently as you live the vibration of the new condition in the present, so being a deliberate creator will necessarily dictate some letting go of old vibrations and patterns. More often than not I think we get frustrated when our new condition: job, weight loss, money, relationship, or whatever, hasn’t come yet, and we put off being happy and feeling better in reaction to our current condition. This is a double whammy to our connection and conditions because feeling bad in the present ruins the experience of the present, and it also keeps the new future from manifesting as well. The only way to a happier place…is through a happy place. The only place you ever experience anything is right NOW. So the key to getting where you want to be is to make the most of where you are right now, right here, in this precious moment in time.
So you probably “get it” that now is all we have, and that you have to make the most of it; and you may still be thinking “but I still have no _____ (fill in the blank) right now.” Gratitude Planet, help me get my stuff! We all have moments when we get frustrated and need a tool to find our way back up the emotional scale. I like to remember, whenever I can, that no matter how you feel about your present, it is only temporary. Everything on planet Earth is temporary. Everything you own, every relationship you have, everything you see, and everything in your present reality will pass into some other form sooner than later. And when your present becomes your past, will you be glad with the way you enjoyed what you had? No matter how bad you want your new conditions, are you ready to love the things you have right now, knowing that they will inevitably pass through your fingers and into your past? Today is a good day to ponder this question.
The Gratitude Planet staff has been really busy this spring with various jobs, projects, and workshops. The talk in the office has been about how busy everyone is, and how things seem to be very compressed in terms of time. So I have been on an “everything is temporary” mantra, helping us all remember that no matter what now is, and feels like, sooner than later it will all change. I remind us all to find things to love and enjoy today…right now…while it is still here and active in our present. My feedback indicates that this is making a positive difference for many who are taking it to heart. Love your present moment, and live in it fully. Loving your now opens the door to allowing your best version of the future. Loving your now pays off RIGHT NOW! Being happy and savoring everything as a temporary circumstance causes you to stay centered in this moment, which is where you will experience all your joy, passion, connection to Source Energy and the Vortex, wealth, wellness, prosperity, and appreciation. I just want to make a point this morning about how we probably spend too much time worrying about stuff. If something hasn’t happened, you don’t need to worry about it, and if it has already happened, you know exactly how to deal with it. In most cases, real problems don’t exist right now. They only exist in our imaginations, and we have a lot of power to direct our imagination. The Law of Attraction works by reading your imagination, feelings, and vibrations and then magnifying and matching it with similar ideas, events, and feelings. Living in the present and staying focused on feeling good is the best way to use Law of Attraction to your greatest benefit.
One of the things many people worry about is what others think about them. They allow the opinions of others to be more important than their own guidance system. Your guidance tells you everything you need to know to stay in the Vortex, feeling good, and creating the life you want and deserve. When you worry too much about the opinions of others, you make your own opinion of yourself less important. But only YOU know what is best for you, and only you can guide YOU. I am pretty sure that we have the ability to screen the opinions of others out of our personal vibration if we just try to do it. Most of the time, people offer their opinion and forget they even said it…while you continue to carry it with you and make it a worry and a distraction to your present moment. The only one keeping it activated is often YOU. So I suggest today that you allow yourself to relax, breathe deeply, and let others do your worrying for you. You job is to mind your own business and vibration, and to feel the best you can. What others think about you is really none of your business, to take care of your business today with joy and connection to Source Energy. Be Well, Marie-GP

On my desk at work I used to have two file holders that were displayed prominently. One said “To Do Tomorrow,” and the other said “To Avoid Doing All Together.” My intention was to be humorous, and most people took it that way. Because I am my own boss, no one could tell me to take it off the desk…and I liked the idea of being able to put something in a perpetual holding pattern until I was ready to deal with it. But this funny story also illustrates a few things about Law of Attraction, connection to Source, and general happiness in your life. We all have things that we file in a vibrational “to do tomorrow” file, and today is a good day to look and see what you have put in there so far.
Law of Attraction works all day every day to match your average vibration with similar thoughts, events, circumstances, and miracles that expand your idea of what already is. Law of Attraction does not give you new material to work with, but rather it adds to what you have presently. Like attracts like. The only way to change your present reality is to expand your idea of what already is, and to practice thinking, feeling, and acting in new vibrational patterns. In essence, you have to live your desires today, and feel as if you already have the new circumstance you desire. For example, if you want a new intimate relationship, you would do well to spend time in the present savoring how wonderful this relationship already is, enjoying how you feel in the new relationship, and letting yourself bliss out about it right now. If you try, you can “trick yourself” into enjoying the relationship even before it appears! And once you learn this technique: to appreciate, love, and enjoy things before they manifest…you will change your life into a magical expression of bliss, allowing, and connection. You see, once you think you have something, to the point of being grateful and appreciative for it NOW, it will be matched and intensified by Law of Attraction, and your experience will expand to include more of it. Like attracts like.
So when you file something you want in your mental “to do tomorrow” file, you tell Law of Attraction that you don’t want it today. You speak through your vibration by affirming that everything you want is coming in the future. But, of course, tomorrow never comes. Tomorrow becomes now, and next week becomes now, and next year becomes now, and unless you change your vibrational “to do tomorrow” file to read “already completed,” you will never see evidence of the things you want. What do you think about and yearn for as a future event, circumstance, or manifestation? Just finish this sentence: “Someday I will…” and you will have your list. You may say “Someday I will lose weight, have more money, have a lover, be healthy, and have a meaningful job.” None of these can ever come to you today, and tomorrow never comes either. You have to refile these into a vibration of being here right now. You have to feel the joy you would feel if they were here now. You just have to be a match to having them already. It’s not as hard as it may seem, and your imagination is your friend. Be child-like and enjoy pretending more. Talk like the things are already real. Savor having it all right now, then see your life change in 30 days or less. I am not kidding when I say you can attract anything you want, but you have to get out of the way and stop putting things in your “future file.” Are you ready to enjoy yourself today, knowing fully that it’s yours already?
