			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/hard-work.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1309" title="hard-work" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/hard-work-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a>As consciousness having a human experience on planet Earth, we are by nature &#8220;doers.&#8221; We like to do things, and we like to see results from our actions. It is easy to start seeing our actions as the only way things come to us, and to put artificial pressure on ourselves to &#8220;do more&#8221; and to &#8220;be motivated.&#8221; Working harder can be fun, and seeing better and better results feels very good. But if you are seeing fewer results from your efforts than you would like to, it may be a good time to examine how you have been approaching your actions. Have you been inspired, or just motivated? If you have been a regular visitor to <a title="Gratitude Planet" href="http://www.gratitudeplanet.com" target="_blank"><em>GratitudePlanet.com</em></a>, you know that we encourage being present and expanding into <strong><em>not doing</em></strong> anything sometimes.</p>
<p>Not doing is a powerful way to let go and to <em>allow</em>. However, it doesn&#8217;t mean that you should sit in your house and wait for someone to come feed, clothe, and exercise your body for you! There is a time for not doing, and there is a time for doing. If you are in the habit of waking up to a full run and going about your day at light speed, you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially if the pace has been this way for a while. If so, try this approach for a week (if you need to rise earlier to get quiet time in your household, do so): wake and list <em>ten things</em> you appreciate or are grateful for in your life. Hold them to you and be silent. Expand into the wonderful feeling of these gifts in your life. Sit quietly and picture yourself doing the things you love to do. See yourself sailing, or painting, or singing, or dancing, or laughing with others, or enjoying your new house, or your new relationship, or whatever&#8230;you know best and you get to choose. Don&#8217;t put limits on your own mind, and just allow yourself to experience these thoughts as if they were already a manifested experience in your reality.</p>
<p>As you do this exercise, you will start to receive important information from the <strong><em>Universe</em></strong> in the form of new pictures in your imagination, or in the form of a feeling of inspiration. You will come to a new awareness and clarity about what only you can do this day. You will get a clearer sense of your priorities and goals for the day, and you will be <em>inspired to move forward into action</em>. When you feel this, stop the meditation exercise and start the action side of your day, following the inspiration you have received.</p>
<p>Actions that are undertaken with uninspired motivation are harder to accomplish, less fun, and leave you feeling worse than before you did the action. <em>Inspired action</em> puts you into the flow of the <em>Universe</em>, so you enjoy the experience more, you have more ease in the process, and you have perfect timing with resources appearing effortlessly as they are needed. You will attract the things you need through <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>, and you will feel the perfection of the process more and more. Inspired action is easy and invigorating. Motivation can be draining over time. So today, notice how you are moving into your doing phase. Try this inspiration meditation for a week and journal all the things you accomplish. Sometimes all you need is a little "get up and go" combined with a fun game to make it easier. Here is what we suggest: Take a Gratitude Walk. ]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/long-walk.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1261" title="long-walk" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/long-walk-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a>Exercise is a necessary ingredient to a healthy lifestyle, and making your exercise fun is a key component to doing it over the long term. When exercise is fun, fitness is easy. Haven&#8217;t you noticed that the things you actually <em><strong>like to do</strong></em> are always <strong><em>easy to do</em></strong>, and the things you dread the most are almost impossible to bear? I totally understand the mindset that pre-paves both of these experiences, yet it can be difficult to break out of old habits of thought to create and sustain a new vibration around exercise and fitness. Mark Twain (1835-1910) said that &#8220;A habit cannot be tossed out the window; it must be coaxed down the  stairs a step at a time.&#8221;  Sometimes all we need is a little &#8220;get up and go&#8221; (combined with fun) to change our habits a little at a time. Here is what I suggest: Take a <em>Gratitude and Connection Walk</em>. When I walk, I make it more fun by using my imagination, thoughts, and deliberate focus to feel better. Feeling better equals fun to me, and you probably feel much the same way.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how it works. Look at something&#8230;<strong>anything</strong>&#8230;that catches your attention. It can be a house in the neighborhood you are walking through, or a car, or a bird, or a trash can&#8230;anything you observe in your immediate environment.Simply say to yourself &#8220;I see a house&#8230;and I like its (<em>fill in the blank</em>).&#8221; So for example, someone might say, &#8220;I see a car, and I appreciate its deep blue paint job.&#8221; If you see something and you can&#8217;t think of anything to be grateful or appreciative about concerning it, find the <em><strong>best thought you have access to</strong></em> about it. This might sound something like &#8220;I see a dented car, and I appreciate that it&#8217;s not mine!&#8221; It&#8217;s OK if you just chuckle at yourself; but you did well finding something that felt true, and something that was the best thought you could think in the moment. The next thing you see, if you stick to reaching for gratitude and appreciation, will probably provide better things to like. Look for them, find them, and say them. Before long, the vibration within you will start to raise and expand to a very connected and blissful place.</p>
<p>One word of caution, however. This game can be played in the opposite direction, where you put down, make fun of, or become critical of the things you see. This will expand the vibrational range <em>downward</em> to thoughts that feel worse and worse the more you think them. The beauty is that you get to choose the direction that your thoughts flow, and when you feel better, everything looks, tastes, feels, and smells better. Your fifteen-minute walk that used to feel like two hours will feel more like fifteen minutes, and the fun you have raising your vibration will become the immediate payoff for your exercise. Instead of thinking &#8220;I really should take a walk today&#8221; you will begin to crave your <em>Gratitude </em><em>and Connection Time</em> instead. Go ahead and get out today, alone or with a few close friends, and enjoy being deliberate about your joy!  Be.Love, Hannya-GP</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/beachrun.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-940" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/beachrun-300x298.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="298" /></a>Today I took a very brisk run and started my day off with a healthy dose of exercise. Sometimes it can be hard to get myself out there in my running clothes, but today I did it with very little resistance from my own thinking. (I like when that happens!) And today I had a minor revelation about why exercise is particularly healthy. Sure, your blood pumps, and your heart strengthens, oxygen increases in your lungs, and your muscles are used and stretched&#8230;but what happens in your <em>head</em>&#8230;how does <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> work and what other benefits come from exercise?  We know that some people benefit in similar ways from quite different amounts of exercise, and studies have shown similar benefits from <em>either walking <span style="text-decoration: underline">or</span> running for the same amount of time</em>. So why run when you can walk, right? I just like running, for one thing, and I think there is another big element at play here as well. That element is your <strong><em>presence</em></strong>.</p>
<p>When I start exercising, my mind is awash in all the details of my cluttered mind such as work, the house, the clothes to do, supper to make, bills to pay, or whatever. But as soon as my body begins to to tire and I start breathing harder, and as soon as the way my body feels gets 100% of my attention, I feel an immediate and positive shift. I suddenly come to focus in the moment, and there is nothing on my mind except what I am doing: running. I feel my breath, I feel my feet, I feel the air going by, and all the clutter in my mind goes away completely. I shift from living in the past and future to living only in the present moment, and in doing so, I enter the <strong><em>Vortex</em></strong>. Being in the <em>Vortex</em> makes everything seem easier. I get my runner&#8217;s stride, and I relax and let the rhythm of the running take me. I stop working on <em>anything</em>. I enter a world of just <em>being</em>.</p>
<p>Exercise is something you can do <em>so that you can do nothing</em>. Interesting, isn&#8217;t it? But I am confident that it is the presence and point of NOW that makes it all so powerful. Being in the moment is what makes your vibration raise, and when your vibration raises, all good things begin to flow to you through the <em>Law of Attraction</em>. When you exercise, you are forced to be present as your body demands your attention. So don&#8217;t think of exercise as something you have to do to be healthy, but rather as something you <em>get to do</em> <em>to do nothing</em>. Sounds a lot easier, doesn&#8217;t it? Try your favorite kind of exercise with this intention, and see if you feel better. Exercise creates a presence of mind, and the presence creates a flow of <em><strong>Source Energy</strong></em> and wellness. Do nothing today, and be well! Marie-GP</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Happy New Year Everyone! I was doing my yoga routine this morning and came to a new understanding of how allowing works. Remember that the <em><strong>Law of Attraction</strong></em> (LOA) works in a three step process: You Ask (automatic), <em><strong>Source</strong></em> Answers (not your work), and You Align With The New Vibration (your work, and only your work, and your only work!). I talked about this in a recent post. You can read that post by clicking <a title="My Earlier Post on GP" href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/?p=416" target="_self">HERE</a> if you like. I added a step to the three-step process &#8217;cause I think people need to relax more and let themselves feel good while doing this. These were my &#8220;new&#8221; steps to make <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> work for you:</p>
<p>1A. You Ask (automatic through living on planet Earth)</p>
<p>1B. Make Peace With Where You Are, Who You Are, And What You Have. (your business)</p>
<p>2. <em><strong>Source</strong></em> Answers (not your work)</p>
<p>3. You Align With The New Vibration (your work, and only your work, and your only work!)</p>
<p>Yet today, I had a new insight. You can do this even sitting at your computer. I was doing yoga, and I went into a pose and was holding it. Sometimes I go really deep into the pose, and sometimes I go in just enough to notice a little resistance in my muscles. When I go really deep, it can really hurt. If I go in just a bit, it is more of a dull sensation, and not really painful. Now, I decided today to just go into a stretch only enough that I noticed a little amount of resistance or sensation. As I noticed the resistance (step ONE A), I stayed there and changed my focus to my breathing and away from the resistance (step ONE B) and then affirmed that <em><strong>Source Energy</strong></em> had created a new me that had no pain in this stretch (step TWO), and then I noticed the resistance disappear! (step THREE). So in little more than 20 seconds I went from feeling resistance, relaxing and making peace with me, and allowing the new me without the resistance. Yoga actually means &#8220;union&#8221; and is a practice for going in and understanding yourself and the <em><strong>Universe</strong></em> better.  It is supposed to be a path to wellbeing and expansion. Now I get it! And it&#8217;s not about stretching farther than I can. It&#8217;s about going to my edge and expanding with joy where I am. WOW!</p>

To be healthy, you have to either feel healthy, or offer no resistance toward your wellbeing. We also know that contrast creates a desire and an asking that in turn causes your expansion into greater wellbeing. In other words, you can either simply allow your well being by feeling fit and healthy, or you can create an expansion through a particular kind of contrast we will call "exercise!"]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Everyone knows that daily exercise is good for the mind and the body. We all understand that fit people are active people. Yet, it can be difficult to get yourself up and out of the house and exercising every day. There are a million excuses NOT to be active, but in reality, none of them hold up under the slightest bit of scrutiny. I had a music teacher once who told me during a percussion lesson: &#8220;if you want something done on time, give it to a busy person.&#8221; His point was that busy people manage time well, because they have no time to waste. The people who never have enough time, and who never get caught up, and who feel the real stress of time management are often (but not always) the same people who waste a lot of their own time. I have found that the more I think and rationalize about the time I have available for exercise, the less I seem to exercise. But when I go right out&#8230;no real debate with myself&#8230;I can get out and get going on my fitness regimen. So the first step to benefiting from exercise is to (and stealing a famous advertising phrase) &#8220;just do it.&#8221;</p>
<p>Next, it is important to remember why we benefit from exercise in the first place. We are all familiar with the oxygenation of the blood, and the lengthening and strengthening of muscle groups. But this is a website about the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>, right? How does this all play into health and fitness? Glad you asked! We know that what you experience is a direct result of the thoughts and vibrations you offer over time. We also know that contrast creates a desire and an asking that in turn causes your expansion into greater wellbeing. <p>This particular kind of self-inflicted contrast (called exercise) is very beneficial and effective. Try it and see what you think. Lace up your sneakers and go for a run. If you feel tightness in your muscles, how exciting&#8230;you are creating a body that is tension-free. It now exists vibrationally, and it is yours to allow. Next, you might feel your breath begin to get faster and more shallow. Yippee! That &#8220;out of breath&#8221; feeling just created a more fit you, because you can&#8217;t help but ask for better fitness when you are out of breath. It is yours to allow and manifest! Your interaction with the contrast called exercise is indeed making you more fit&#8230;and the powerful asking you do when you feel this physical stress on your body is benefiting you greatly. Just remember to relax and allow the expansion you have created as soon as you recover from your run.</p>
<p>Lastly, remember that the real work of fitness comes from the feeling of fitness, and if you don&#8217;t feel fit&#8230;you can not achieve fitness. <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> brings you experiences of fitness when you feel fit, period. As I implied earlier, you can skip exercise and just feel fit, <em>and you will be fit and healthy.</em> But few people can pull off fitness without feeling like they earned it. There is nothing quite like a long run, bike ride, or day of skiing to help one feel worthy of the vibration of fitness. It is probably much easier to &#8220;just do it&#8221; and be active in terms of letting in a feeling of health. It&#8217;s my plan to let my exercise expand my health through physical contrast, and then to relax and appreciate everything in my life. It&#8217;s the perfect One-Two punch for me. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In part 1 of &#8220;Creating and Using Vision Boards&#8221; I discussed what a Vision Board is, and how it worked for me when I wanted to expand my career. If you are visiting <em>Gratitude Planet</em> for the first time and haven&#8217;t read Part 1 yet, you may want to scroll down and read it before you read Part 2.</p>
<p>Creating a Vision Board is a powerful tool for nurturing and allowing something in your vibration. The <em><strong>Law of Attraction</strong></em> responds only to your vibration; your words and actions mean nothing unless accompanied by a corresponding vibrational frequency. A Vision Board can help you feel as if the thing you want is already manifested. You have a daily visual cue to help you accept and allow your well being! You have immediate evidence that your life is expanding, and concrete visual cues to help you relax and let in all that you have asked for.</p>
<p>The first Vision Board that you make need not revolve around a major change on your life. In fact, I have found it to be fun over the years to ask for something that feels achievable, yet is just far enough out of my reach that I will feel a triumph when it materializes. For example, if you have been trying to shed ten pounds for a while, but haven&#8217;t been able to allow it into your vibration, you could make a Vision Board celebrating your weight loss of ten pounds. Every image and phrase on that Vision Board should celebrate the new weight, and there should be images that feel good to you. Looking at the Vision Board should always feel good. It should represent the completion of the manifestation of the desire into your present. You should be able to <em>suspend your disbelief</em> as you look at the Vision Board.</p>
<p>Another Vision Board I had created centered around health and fitness. I wanted to look better, feel better, and move better. I went to Barnes &amp; Noble and looked for magazines on health that caught my eye. I wanted images of healthy people, and I wanted them in full color. I perused a large number of pages looking for images that made me go &#8220;yes, that feels good.&#8221; If I saw a picture of a person who was doing something I like to do, and if the image felt good while I looked at it, I put it in a pile for purchase. I probably took home only three or four magazines on health, but they were full of great images that supported my desire to be more fit and athletic. I cut up my manila file folder and got out my scissors and glue stick, and started looking once again through the pages of the magazines. Now when I saw an image I liked, I cut it out and put it on the table. There is no right and wrong way to to this&#8230;only the way that YOU enjoy doing this. I like to cut out every image that feels good to me, and then decide which ones fit best together to create an overall effect. I might cut out ten to fifteen images, and use only four or five, depending on how big they are and how they fit together. I also look for words or phrases I like, and I cut those out and paste them in too. In twenty years I have probably made three Vision Boards on health and fitness, and I have always experienced a good segment of improved health and vitality after creating my Vision Board. You might wonder why I would need to do another VB if I did it once already and achieved improved conditions. Like anything, once you have achieved something, something else will surely get your attention, and your focus will be directed in new ways. So after a few years of feeling like fitness is completed, you might find yourself back up those ten pounds and eating in old patterns again. It&#8217;s OK. Use your VB to <em>allow the thing you want the most right now.</em> Don&#8217;t try to live your whole life through one VB at the same time.</p>
<p>If you want to try making a VB, on a blank paper list the top three things you would like to increase in your experience. You might list weight loss, more prosperity, and an intimate relationship, for example. Feel the energy behind each thing. How would you feel if you had one of these three <em>right now</em>? Which one gives you the purest feeling of excitement and a rush of &#8220;wow&#8221; when you think about it actually happening? If you feel they are all the same, just pick one and do your VB on that topic. It&#8217;s likely, however, that one will get your attention in a more powerful way than the others. Go for that one first.</p>
<p>I will continue this series on Vision Boards because it is fun to write about, and it is such a fun activity to do. It always reminds me of art classes in middle school. You get to play and enjoy your creations&#8230;and then they manifest into your experience! It&#8217;s like having a magic wand. We all have the wand, so let&#8217;s keep learning how to harness it for our expanded love, bliss, gratitude, appreciation, and connection. Enjoy this most amazing day. Chris-GP</p>

Do you know how to get to Bar Harbor?&#8221; (pronounced &#8220;Bar-har-bur&#8221;) LOCAL TO STRANGER: &#8220;Yup, I do&#8230;but you can&#8217;t get there from here.&#8221; (pronounced &#8220;they-ah from hee-ah&#8221;) The joke is funnier when you realize that there are some places in Maine that are close by across the water, but much farther by car. In essence, you have to drive somewhere else first to get there directly. The phrase makes perfect sense of another truth regarding the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>: You can&#8217;t get to a new place (vibration, manifestation, etc.) from where you are&#8230;you have to become a match to the new vibration first.</p>
<p>Think about the things you are wanting to attract into your life: health, wellbeing, a new relationship, prosperity, a new job&#8230;whatever it may be. <em>You can&#8217;t get there from here.</em> The reason you don&#8217;t have it is because you are vibrating (sending out a signal to the <strong>Universe</strong>) as a person without it. You may be confused at this point because of all our posts about being present and living in the NOW. You may ask &#8220;how can I live in the now and hold a vibration different than the one I have now?&#8221; Indeed, this is a paradox. The trick is letting yourself <em>feel the feeling</em> of being or achieving the new thing <em>in this moment</em>. This is different than seeing yourself achieving or being this thing in the future. Another way to think of this is to realize that you are not attracting something new to you, but you are instead changing into a new person who has the new thing. When you say &#8220;I&#8217;ll be different when I have money,&#8221; the implication (vibration) is &#8220;I have no money.&#8221; You can&#8217;t get there from here.  But you can allow yourself to feel prosperous NOW, and to feel like the new person NOW, and to take action like a prosperous person NOW, and to be in a new vibration of prosperity NOW. You will have moved from here to there, to a place where you can feel like the new person with the new and present vibration, and <em>Law of Attraction</em> can then bring the full manifestation into your awareness very quickly. Be willing to change, and be playful about your thoughts. Linger in feelings that feel good while you think them. Even a little shift from where you are, into a direction of where you would rather be, will harness the <em>Law of Attraction</em> in very powerful ways. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Every night when you sleep, you emerge into a space where you are very allowing. You receive rest and inspiration. You let go of patterns that you might be keeping (for better or for worse) while you are awake. It is a great time to recharge. I have a technique that I have used for years to make that subconscious time even more valuable to your waking vibration: I say a short, allowing affirmation to myself before I fall asleep each night. It&#8217;s easy to do, takes almost no time, and you will feel the effects of it as soon as the next morning. Here&#8217;s what you do:</p>
<p>Lie quietly in your bed and close your eyes. You should be ready to drift to sleep. Create a present-tense statement that reflects something you are going to receive while you sleep. Let it be one sentence that feels good when you say it. If it is job related, you could say: &#8220;My co-workers always enjoy my leadership, and we are a fantastic team.&#8221; If it is prosperity related, you could say: &#8220;Money and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.&#8221; If you are wanting more friends, you might say: &#8220;I&#8217;m always in the right place at the right time to meet new and interesting friends.&#8221; You get the idea.</p>
<p>Now, what you do is you say the statement to yourself, in your mind, while <em>feeling the truth of the statement</em>. Have no doubt that you are allowing this thing to be attracted to you through the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>. The first time you say the statement, emphasize EVERY word, and feel each word as a confirmation of the thing you are allowing. See each word in your mind. For example, if you use the statement for prosperity above, it might flash through your mind like this:</p>
<p><strong>MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS </strong></p>
<p>Feel the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the first word:</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">MONEY</span> and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.</strong></p>
<p>Again, feel deeply the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the second word:</p>
<p><strong>Money <span style="text-decoration: underline">AND</span> abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.</strong></p>
<p>Continue<strong> </strong>in this pattern until you emphasize each word of the affirmation in order. Finally, emphasize the whole sentence again. The whole sequence would look like this:</p>
<p><strong>MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS!</strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">MONEY</span> and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts! </strong></p>
<p><strong>Money <span style="text-decoration: underline">AND</span> abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Money and <span style="text-decoration: underline">ABUNDANCE</span> flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Money and abundance <span style="text-decoration: underline">FLOW</span> to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Money and abundance flow <span style="text-decoration: underline">TO</span> me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Money and abundance flow to <span style="text-decoration: underline">ME</span> endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Money and abundance flow to me <span style="text-decoration: underline">ENDLESSLY</span> in ever-increasing amounts!</strong></p>

<p>At this point, relax and enjoy the fact that your mind is focused, your work is done, and your only job is to let the power of sleep do its work while you rest and receive. Look for evidence of the affirmation throughout the whole next day. You will see it. If you like the feeling of the statement, repeat it again for several nights. There is no need to do more than one statement a night. Just do it once and believe in the truth of it.
