Law of Attraction: What You Get Is What You Align With!

The Law of Attraction makes so much sense when you look at it broadly from the circumstances it creates in people’s lives. Your life, right now, is a reflection of the things you have been giving your focus to for a while. All the things…wanted and unwanted…that you have been experiencing have been invited into your reality by YOU! You may say, “but I didn’t ask for my present condition,” especially if you don’t like the way things are going for you right now. But while you didn’t speak words asking for your condition, you did ask for it through your vibration, which Law of Attraction matched and magnified. The average vibration of your thoughts, feelings, and actions always equals your point if attraction, and your point of attraction is what is matched, expanded, and made “real” for you. So if you want to know how your average vibration has been lately, just look at the outward manifestation you have right now. How are you doing, in your opinion?

Sometimes, though, I can’t see the relationship between my thoughts, feelings, and actions and the results I am experiencing. Occasionally I can’t make the connection. When this happens, don’t worry or doubt yourself. It’s still a match, even if you didn’t know you were attracting it. For example, if you had something taken from you by a thief, you may wonder how such an incident is a match when you didn’t think about being robbed. But remember that Law of Attraction reads and matches your vibration. You were probably giving your attention and focus, and therefore your alignment, to things that made you feel vulnerable or unworthy. These things could be stories that friends told you, or stories in the news, or movies on TV, or anything that whipped up disconnection in subtle or not-so-subtle ways.

There is no Law of Assertion. Nothing can be in your experience that you don’t invite in through your attention and focus. Just remember that you will align with the things you choose to focus on, whether you want them in your experience or not. If you love scary novels, be prepared to invite some drama into your real life now and again. If you let people complain to you over and over again, be ready to experience some of their problems in your life at some point. If you move down the emotional scale as a daily habit because of the thoughts you choose to think, expect to see some weird stuff that you would prefer not to experience popping up now and again. Instead, choose the things you give your attention to the same way you choose the clothes you wear, or the food you eat. Do it by choice, based on the pleasure you get from it.

Law of Attraction is all about alignment. What you align with is what you will get more and more of, and you have the ultimate control to choose your thoughts and focus. If things are going well, stay the course. If you are ready for a change, get more particular with how you spend your time and energy and focus. In a very short tome you will see how consistent Law of Attraction really is, and how you can really be, do, or have anything you want. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP

Turn The Corner On Feeling Better!

Law of Attraction is a fair and consistent law, and it works even when you aren’t aware of it. All you do is think and feel and act, and think and feel and act, and then observe the results you get in your life. The Law of Attraction tunes into your vibration, which is the sum total vibrational average of your thoughts, feelings, and actions over time. What your life is right now is a perfect reflection of your vibrational offering in the recent past. People wonder why they can experience something unpleasant even when they feel good in the moment, and this is because it is your average vibrational offering that creates your point of attraction, and this point of attraction is what Law of Attraction matches and magnifies in your experience.

So if you feel snarky most of the time, and you talk about things in terms of your disappointment with the present, it makes sense that Law of Attraction will line you up with more critical, cutting, snide, cranky, and irritable experiences for you to “enjoy,” even when you feel happy for a few moments at a time. The key to all of this is to turn the emotional corner and find a way to feel better more of the time.

Feeling better is the key, but changing your behavior is the goal. If your life is not thrilling you enough, you have to change the input that creates your point of attraction, and then Law of Attraction will also work for you in more pleasing ways. Here are a few tips for turning the emotional corner, and all of these ideas can make you think, act, and feel differently.

  1. Exercise more. Take a walk, run in the woods, or get on a stationary bike. While you exercise, tell yourself: “I am opening to my greater health, and my body is very wise. I give myself love and health, and I receive love and health from the Universe.” Feel every cell in your body respond to your affirmations. You are turning the emotional corner.
  2. Eat Better. No matter what you have been eating, change your diet a little. The phrase “you are what you eat” is a good rule of thumb, so if you want to feel differently, try eating differently. Do a juice fast, or a true fast. But a cook book and make some new meals that you haven’t made before. notice that the food makes you feel differently. You are turning the emotional corner.
  3. Talk Less. That’s right. Talk less. If your point of attraction has you lining up with things you don’t like, you are probably in a habit of talking about things in a disconnected way. Talk less, and listen more. Even observe the way you talk to yourself in your own mind. Be kind to yourself, and love yourself more. Let whatever cognitive dissonance your have going melt into awareness of your perfect relationship to love and allowing. You are turning the emotional corner.
  4. Practice Optimism. While you are talking less and observing your thoughts more, turn your thoughts into better-feeling, more positive statements. Make it a game, and enjoy the process. Fr example, if you are doing something and you are beating yourself up, do it a little less. If you say “I really suck at this,” notice, laugh to yourself, and think again. Say “do over” and tell yourself “now I may suck at this, but I am getting better and better with every try. Soon I will suck less at this.” minor change…big vibrational shift. You are turning the emotional corner.
  5. Stop “should-ing” on yourself. Do you do things just because you “should?” Doing this can evolve into acting by default, and living out patterns of actions and thoughts that mess up your pint of attraction. Do everything because you choose to, and not because you feel you should do it. I would wager that at least 20% of the actions people choose are by default because they feel they are supposed to do it that way. Get your “should” together. You are turning the emotional corner.

See if doing all of this makes a difference to the way you feel. If it does, you are turning the emotional corner. When you think, feel and act differently then your life must change. I look forward to hearing about your successes. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP

Tune In To Your Favorite Reality Show!

When it comes to watching TV, everyone has their favorite stations to dial up. Some people prefer reality shows, and others like movies; some prefer documentaries, while others thrive on news shows. It’s a great thing that everyone gets to choose what kinds of shows they invest their time and attention into. In the same way that our friends reflect our character as people, I think our TV tastes lend insight into our vibrational states as well. The kinds of programs you are attracted to are generally a match to the thoughts you have been thinking, and the feeling of the show most likely reinforces your present state. You are what you watch.

This is exactly how Law of Attraction works in your everyday reality. There are many things that you could give your time and attention to, and you have an ability to choose how you focus. Everything you see, observe, imagine, and participate in becomes your present and continued reality. Law of Attraction takes note of your preferences based on what you give your attention to, and then it supplies you with more of the same. It’s as if your life is a TV station that has an unlimited supply of the same reality show, and you get to view it over and over again. If you really, really like your show, you will be in a connected state, and you will be in the Vortex. You will have a feeling of exuberance and joy as you live your day. If you life feels disconnected most of the time, and you would say things could be going a lot better, it may be time to switch the channel to something that feels better. But how do you do this?

Changing your channel is not as hard as it sounds. Once you decide to give your attention to a new channel, Law of Attraction will start finding you some alternate programming to enjoy. However, don’t expect the next show to be a lot different than the present show. There will be a time lag between your new request and the new shows, so you have to turn your focus and stick with it until you attract something that feels a little better. Let me illustrate this another way…

Let’s say you are looking for a job. Everywhere you go you get no interview, or you don’t get the job after the interview. Your reality show, then, is “I don’t have a job.” The cycle goes like this: you think the thought “I don’t have a job,” and then tell someone “I don’t have a job,” and then feel bad while you think “I don’t have a job,” and then you apply for a job while you think “I don’t have a job,” and on and on. Law of Attraction sends you more and more episodes of “I don’t have a job.” You feel bad and you are out of the Vortex altogether. Life seems to stuck in an endless cycle of reruns that feel bad. As soon as you realize that the show you have tuned into sucks, it’s time to change the channel. Hear your self think “I don’t have a job,” and then reach for a thought that feels a little better. You might think “I  have a job,” but that thought won’t feel good…it will feel worse because you know it isn’t true. So think “I have a chance of getting a job soon.” If that feels better than “I don’t have a job,” say it again to yourself. Think it for a short time, and you will be able to think an even better-feeling thought. You might think “I will be in the right place and the right time to get a great job.” If this feels better still, then you are doing the right thing to change your channel.

In a few days or maybe weeks, you will completely change the channel you have been experiencing in your reality show called life. Things will turn, you will have new opportunities, and before long you will have that new and exciting job. Law of Attraction will respond to whatever you give your attention to, so you have the ultimate control and power to be, do, or have anything you want. So today, observe what reality show you are living, and decide if you like it enough to watch endless reruns. If you like it, savor it and be grateful for it. If you don’t prefer it, start reaching for a better channel by thinking thoughts that feel better. The remote is in your hand, and you get to choose…always. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP

Kick The Habit Of Being Habitual!

When people talk about quitting smoking, they usually talk about “kicking the habit” of smoking. This is a good example of the misuse of the word “habit” because of the associated addiction to nicotine. The dictionary defines “habit” this way:

1 a settled or regular tendency or practice, esp. one that is hard to give up : this can develop into a bad habit | we stayed together out of habit.
• informal an addictive practice, esp. one of taking drugs : a cocaine habit.
• Psychology an automatic reaction to a specific situation.
• general shape or mode of growth, esp. of a plant or a mineral : a shrub of spreading habit

We can see that having a habit or being “habitual” has a negative association according to the dictionary. If a behavior is hard to give up, it can turn into a “bad” habit. Addictions have been informally labeled as habits as well. Of course, we can have behaviors that are healthy and that promote wellness, such as exercising daily, or eating well. The main point here is that we all develop patterns of behavior that either serve us, or they don’t. Looking objectively at your habits can be a healthy exercise of awareness…so let’s look at this a little more today.

When you think something or do something, you send out a vibration to the Universe, and the Law of Attraction immediately matches the vibration and reinforces it. Another way to say this is that if you think a thought for a while, you starting thinking other similar thoughts. The easiest thoughts to think tend to match the ones you have already been thinking. If you do an action over and over, it becomes easier to keep doing it than it does to change the patterns of action. Law of Attraction reads your vibration and and determines where you are vibrationally, and then agrees and gives you more of the same. People, events, and circumstances reinforce your patterns of habit. The Universe does its best to keep you doing what ever you have been doing. It’s like an autopilot. You stay on course.

But what if you are tired of your direction? What if you are flying toward a mountain and you are on autopilot? You have two choices, really. You can change course or hit the mountain. If you decide to change course, and break a few habits of thinking, feeling, and acting, then you will need to put some deliberate energy toward making changes. If you decide to enjoy the ride until you hit the mountain, you will be provided with enough contrast to make you change after the impact. Notice that not changing is not an option here. You get to decide for yourself if you want your change little by little, or all at once.

I prefer to change little by little when I can. It’s hard at first, but it gets easier as you go. Decide to replace a thought today. Notice your thought about something, and tell yourself that you are changing the feeling of the thought. If you are irritated with the way your hair looks, decide to feel hopeful that you will be able to get it cut soon. Small change…big result over time. You can also move your body in new patterns as well. Do you sit to put your shoes on? Then stand today. It will feel awkward, but do it anyway. When is the last time you touched your toes? Touch them today. Just look for patterns of habitual thinking, feeling, and acting that you have taken for granted, and just make small changes. If you desire the changes, keep up the new behavior until Law of Attraction makes it easier for you to sustain it. A big habit may take 30 days to change, as long as you don’t keep repeating the old pattern as you go.

Think of all of this as presenting opportunities to change slowly. Be open to the idea of change, and above all, be willing to kick the habit of being habitual. Thank you so much…    Be Well, 8) Marie-GP

Live Every Day With Quality and Craftsmanship!

If you have wanted something for a while, you might begin to feel frustrated more and more the longer it takes to materialize in your experience. You may think that you need to work harder, or that you need to do something big to make your desires manifest. But you are not responsible for the work that the Universe does on your behalf, and you don’t need to manage the Law of Attraction to make it work for you either. Here’s an illustration to help clarify this.

Pretend that life is like a giant assembly line, and that you are a single worker on that assembly line. Your job is to add your energy and expertise at exactly the right time, and with all the care, quality, and craftsmanship you can. You are not responsible for placing the order, or keeping the line running, or adding other pieces, or even worrying about the final product. Your job is to add your unique piece as masterfully as you can.

When life causes you to want something, as you desire it a signal is sent to the Universe, and an order is placed with Source Energy on your behalf for a physical manifestation. While you are the “asker” for the new condition (money, health, a new job, more friends, or whatever) you don’t need to spend one second worrying if the Universe got the order. Once it is placed, it is placed. Now your focus can be to recognize when your “product” comes by on the assembly line, and to add your quality and craftsmanship to the product. In the case of more money, you would live your day looking for evidence of more money coming to you.

Let’s say you are buying something and the clerk informs you at the checkout that she will be taking an extra 20% the total; picture your prosperity coming before you on that vibrational assembly line. What are you going to do as it goes by? If you say something to yourself that feels like “the Universe is always looking out for me, and is bringing me more money all the time,” it is as if you polished the desire and put gold trim around it. Then off it goes, toward some finished product you will see shortly. But your job is done until you see the next piece of evidence of your prosperity. Look for it, and you will see it again. Add another detail of vibrational quality as it comes by again.

If you decide instead to say something to yourself that feels like “I shouldn’t be spending this money because I never have enough. Another 20% off what I don’t have is not good for my prosperity,” then it is like taking a baseball bat and knocking the product right off the assembly line belt as it goes by. Instead, always think about the value you can give the thought, and do your best to make the quality of the thought increase as it travels by on your vibrational conveyor belt. You are not the factory, the Universe is. You are not the conveyor belt, time and space is. You are not in charge of assembling the pieces before they get to you, Law of Attraction is. Do YOUR job today, which is to add craftsmanship and quality to the piece that is before you right now. Relax and let the rest of the work be done by Source Energy. If you do this you will be amazed at the end result: what you want will be in your experience more and more of the time. I think it is actually very freeing to know I don’t need to do it all, and that I have a specific and manageable job. I give thanks, gratitude, and appreciation for my specific job and purpose today. Focus On What You Want, Not What You Expect!

I was at dinner with a friend the other night, and the waiter took our drink order and disappeared. My friend immediately seemed preoccupied with where he went. She wondered if he would get the order right. We kept talking and before we knew it, he was back with exactly what we had ordered. After we gave our entree order, the same events unfolded, including my friend’s worry about if he would get it all right. This time she talked about her concern for his competence, and how she expected him to screw up the order. Of course, I took this as my unique opportunity to talk about perception, expectations, and Law of Attraction.

My friend was expecting something to go wrong, and she was looking for evidence of the mistakes before they even happened. I explained that the Universe hears your expectations, and through Law of Attraction brings you a version of what you expect. She thought that it didn’t mater what she expected, and that she would rather be surprised by things going better than she expected, and not disappointed by expecting too much. I understand this logic because I used to do the same thing. Now that I understand how we attract things, people, and events to us through our vibration, I don’t play the low expectations game anymore. Now I expect things to go well for me, and events in my life tend to match (or exceed) my expectations most of the time…and I expect a lot!

Worrying about your life is like worrying about your waiter. You ask for something, and then your job is to relax and let it come to you. Sometimes you might draw a really weird or unprofessional waiter, but the Law of Attraction will NEVER act like a crazy waiter. It will bring you what you ask for through your average vibration every time, 100% accurate and consistent. You never need to worry about Law of Attraction in terms of its ability to deliver the goods. On the other hand, a good waiter will occasionally give you what he thinks you want to show you what is possible. Law of Attraction won’t do that, ever.  You ask, it delivers…period.

Relax and enjoy the fact that you get consistent results from your universal wellness order. If you are asking for wellbeing, expect it to be delivered very soon. If you want prosperity, see it, talk about it, and take actions that support it. Expect it to come to you very soon. Be irrationally optimistic. Anything you want is possible. Why Gratitude Changes Your Attitude!

We have had many posts on GratitudePlanet about the power of Gratitude and Appreciation, and if you have been a member of the GP Community for even a little while, you have probably experienced the magic of these vibrations working to expand and improve your life. When your “go to” vibration is an attitude of gratitude, you have found a magical way to harness the power of Law of Attraction to your greatest benefit.  But why is feeling grateful and appreciative such a powerful state to live in? It is really all about how our thoughts, feelings, and actions work to attract things to us.

Some people work really hard at everything they do. They let their actions do their talking, and these people expel a great deal of energy making their world come together. Sometimes they achieve quite a bit, but often at the expense of their health and wellbeing. They might be really rich, but they might not have the vibration to enjoy those riches, or the health to express the prosperity. I know other people who do a great job trying as hard as they can to just think positive thoughts. These people can also get some great results from their positive focus, but they also tend to see their thoughts as more powerful than their own actions…they worry that if they “let down” from their positive thinking, they will fall and suffer something unpleasant. They become a prisoner to their own thinking. The most successful and happy people seem to be those who understand that while your thoughts and actions matter a great deal, your greatest power resides in honing your feelings, and finding ways to feel better throughout your day. Feeling good is the third piece of the puzzle of creating and attracting the life you have always wanted. How you feel determines you average vibration, and hence, your point of attraction that Law of Attraction is responding to. Balancing thoughts, feelings, and actions can be considered the “Art of Living Joyfully.”

Gratitude and appreciation are easy feelings to expand, but it takes just a little effort at first until you get some vibrational momentum. I like to think of these feelings as a “set point” of vibration or a kind of “default setting” that I automatically engage whenever I can. Optimism is a wonderful tool for gratitude and appreciation, and looking for the best in any situation will give you raw material for feelings of gratitude. Try this today: Before you take action in any direction, give thanks for everything you can think of, and then milk it for all it’s worth. Let your thoughts guide you toward everything that is working well for you. If your mind wanders to problems, turn to solutions, or just redirect to another appreciative thought. In a short time, you will have a desire or inspiration to do something: so take action now! In the doing of the action, return to your set point of gratitude and see the best in the action. Enjoy the little things you are doing, and look for the mystery and magic in what may seem otherwise like a mundane or simple task. See if your attitude of gratitude can inspire yet another action. If not, stop and bask again in the joy of your appreciation for what already is. Let this cycle of think, appreciate, give thanks, and act be a dance of joy that moves you to greater and greater connection in the Vortex. Watch how your life improves way more than when you just acted, or just sat and thought positive thoughts. Let Gratitude be your Attitude more often today. Your Attention Is Your Invitation!

I love working with a law as consistent as the Law of Attraction because I can tell what I have been asking for vibrationally by paying attention to what life is bringing to me. In other words, what I think about, and what I get in reality, will always be a perfect match. The Law of Attraction is based on another law called the Law of Inclusion. This law states that what ever I give my attention to is instantly invited (through vibrational forces) into my experience. There is no such thing as “No” in this Universe, and pushing away or against something is to say “Yes” to it. If I have an experience with anything, I am inviting the vibrational essence of it into my reality and enticing it to manifest in my life. Your attention to anything equals your invitation to it into your life.

Yah, but…there are a whole lot of things in the world that I can’t avoid, but that I don’t necessarily want to invite into my experience. There are people doing lots of things that I don’t want to experience personally, and unless I keep my head under a rock, I am going to be aware of them some of the time. How can I live in this world and still be informed about it’s variety and contrast? The answer is that you always get to choose how your focus your mind and attention, and the key is to notice how you feel as you focus. There is no better indicator than your emotions to tell you what is and what is not appropriate your you. What others are focusing on and what they are getting is really none of your business, and your job is to focus your own thoughts to attract into your life all that you are wanting. Here is one example to help illustrate this point:

If you like scary movies, and they thrill you, then your emotions will tell you so as you get a lift and a hit from watching them. If, however, scary movies make you fearful and tense, then your emotions are telling you that you might not want to give this piece of “reality” your undivided attention for too long. Scary movies by themselves are neither good nor bad, but the thoughts, feelings, and emotions you experience as you interact with the movie matters very much. The Law of Inclusion makes no differentiation between wanted and unwanted vibrations, and it sort of assumes that if you give your focus to something, you must want more of it to manifest. So can watching scary moves and practicing a vibration of fear attract more fearful experiences? You bet! Can watching good-feeling programs expand your feelings of connection to Source, and hence bring more connected manifestations to you as well? Yes indeed! It’s always about what you choose to focus upon.

Today, just notice what you give your attention to a little more. If the radio is playing talk shows about people who are angry and dis-empowered, how long do you listen before you turn to something that feels better? How much do you talk to yourself about your problems rather than thinking about possible solutions? How much do you allow yourself to bask in gratitude and joy for the things you already have? Just notice and pay attention a little more. Then follow your intuition toward the best-feeling experiences available to you. The more you focus on feeling good, the more the Law of Attraction will match you with more good-feeling experiences. It becomes an upward spiral that will quickly create the life you want and deserve. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP

You Can’t Change The World, But You Can Change Your World!

When you first start understanding how the Law of Attraction works, you might start worrying about the thoughts you think. You might, for the first time, notice that you give a lot of attention to things that don’t feel very good, or you might come to the realization that you spend a lot of time watching sad movies, murder shows, or reading books about people who are struggling. Because thoughts create reality, your attention to anything invites the vibrational essence of what you are giving your attention to into your experience. So sometimes people start trying to censor their thoughts so that they don’t invite in real experiences that feel like sadness, murder, or struggle. The idea is a good one (to notice and shift your attention to other things) but you can’t stop a thought by trying not to think it. When you try to not think it, you include it into your vibration by your attempt to exclude it. There is no exclusion when it comes to your attention; rather you can just as easily choose to give your attention to other things. Another way to explain this is to imagine yourself watching a movie on your TV that depicts something that you would rather not experience in your real life. You could keep watching and try to say “this won’t happen to me, this won’t happen to me” or you can simply change the channel, shifting your focus, and give your full attention to something you want to allow into your experience. Trying to exclude anything invites it in. This is also true with people and political issues. If you try to stop someone from doing something, you include them into your experience and you actually give vibrational energy to the thing you are trying to stop. Trying to defeat your rival political party gives energy to their cause, but working to improve the stance of your own party strengthens your cause and your party by giving that energy to the vision of what you want to improve. The wars on drugs, terror, poverty, etc. help perpetuate these realities by focusing energy and attention of the problem instead of the solutions. You life is the same way.

You might ask, “but don’t we need to help make the world a better place by focusing on the problems of poverty, war, terror, and the like?” The answer is that you always get to choose what you give your attention to, and whatever you give your attention to becomes and equals your Point of Attraction. The Law of Attraction responds to the vibration of your Point of Attraction and lines you up with more experiences in your reality that match it. In other words, you can’t change the world, but you can change your world. The only reason that anything exists, including the world’s problems, is because one or many people have included those vibrations into their personal experiences through their thoughts, feelings, and actions. You can tune into those vibrations, or you can choose other vibrations…it’s all up to you. If your world shifts to include love, allowing, freedom, joy, fun, support, giving, prosperity, wellness, charity, gratitude, appreciation, and optimism, then you have truly made a difference in your world. You can’t think, feel, or act for anyone else, so you have a responsibility to pay attention to your world as it is created by you. If you decide to become a part of some problem, just know that you are expending the problem to include you and your world. But if you are connected to Source Energy, and if you are in The Vortex, you will be solution-oriented and you will be able to help your causes from a place of allowing instead of resisting. Just don’t try to stop anything, but instead focus on things that feel better. Unplug from experiences and observations that you don’t want to increase in your world. Take action from your place of connection and while feeling the power of Source, and your action will expand your love joy, and may even inspire other people as well. Changing your world to a better place DOES change the world. It improves the part that you are in charge of, and it makes the whole better too…one piece at a time. Be More Childlike And Less Childish!

When you were a child you knew your worth and value in a way that you may have forgotten to some degree at this point in your life. You didn’t doubt that you were supposed to be YOUR center of YOUR Universe, and you lived in a way that relaxed yourself into who you are, possibly more deeply than you do as an adult. I think somewhere along the way, as we grow and have more experiences, we lose a sense of that wonder and security that we were born with on this planet. I also think that at some point, some possibly well-meaning people helped us forget all of this. They encouraged us to be less childish, and to think of putting others first. They told us not to be so self-centered. They taught us that we should give more than we get, share our toys, and to be nice to our mothers. I agree that these things are part of life’s greater lessons (especially being nice to your mother!) But I also think that somewhere along the way, we sacrificed the quality of being “childlike” on the alter of trying not to be “childish.” Somehow, most of us learned to be adults by turning away from being childlike while trying to be less childish. Childishness is something that we do (and should) outgrow. It is not necessary to cry when we are hungry, or to hold on to our toys so no one can play with them. But we do not need to lose our childlike qualities, which I will define next.

To be childlike is to have wonder for the moment. It means that you love right now, and you are amazed by everything you see. You have a sense of the perfection of what you are observing. You are open to any possibility. You feel at one with the present. Being childlike means loving yourself. It means having a firm knowing that you came from greatness, and that you embody greatness. Being childlike means knowing you are an extension of Source Energy, and that you are a particular piece of unique expression in your body. Childlike people are not closed to others, but are open channels of love and light. They have a curious nature, and they are centered in who they are. They are secure in their expression, and they are willing to let themselves follow a path of joy. To a person who is childlike, anything is possible. They know that all they have to do is follow a desire, and the Universe will help that desire come true. Disney has made a fortune reminding us of this quality in ourselves…though as adults, we may look back on these qualities and think that it is all fantasy, or that it is actually childish to believe in such things anymore. But what you know deep down is that dreams can, and do, come true.

Law of Attraction is the law that holds that like attracts like. Every vibration in the Universe is attracting other similar vibrations unto it, and like gravity, energies converge in a cosmic dance of perfection. What you think, feel, and do is transmitted to the farthest reaches of creation, and your signal is responded to by others signals like it. You sense this by sensing your own energy and thinking; if you think a thought for about 17 seconds, another similar thought will appear to join it. Keep thinking in the same way, and more and more thoughts will arrive; before too long, the essence of the thinking, and the incredible energy behind the thoughts, will be experienced as an event in your present. So if you want to manifest something, you have to hold the thought of it actually happening, like you did in your childlike early life. You have to believe that your dreams are possible, and that you deserve to be special, loved, and complete. When you let yourself relax into believing with the innocence of your inner child, anything IS possible for you. Law of Attraction makes this so.

Let yourself be less childish, yet more childlike, today. Find something really cool to observe and just say “Wow!” Be in love with your life’s expression a little more. Appreciate your unique place in this time and space. Remember that you can do, be, or have anything you desire. Give a grateful thought to the miracle that made you exist right now. Be in your joy. You are here to love and be loved…to create, and to teach. Let yourself relax into your childlike nature, and see how your life becomes more fun, loving, and blissful. Make The Most Of Your Experience!

I have become pretty good at making the best of every experience I encounter. Some people call me an optimist, while some say I ignore reality. Either way, I don’t care because I love my life, and I refuse to let other people tell me what is real. When I walk down the street, I usually see beautiful flowers, nice people, and the perfection of every moment. Others may take the same walk and see garbage, rusty cars, and feel the disappointment of the world caving in on them. I choose to be connected to Source Energy, and I love being in the Vortex, where Law of Attraction brings me everything I have asked for and need right now. I love knowing that I get to choose what I give my attention to, and I love seeing the results of my focus. I choose to make the most of my experience by giving my undivided attention to things that make me feel good, while acting on my inspiration to get “real” things done. I don’t sit in my house waiting for someone to do things for me, nor do I believe that the Law of Attraction will take action for me. It just doesn’t work that way. Law of Attraction lines up people and events in your life that match your average thoughts, feelings, and actions over time. If you want something done, just see it already done in your mind’s eye, imagine yourself doing it effortlessly, and then…when the time comes to act..do it! If you are in the Vortex, you will complete the task easily and with fun and joy.

Making the most of your experience is your real job in this reality. We are here to hone our preferences, and we decide what we want by living experiences that we don’t want. That’s right! When you live an experience that you don’t want, you create a vibrational solution that is instantly available to you. But you can’t allow the new solution while you are living the crappy experience that caused it to be created in the first place. That’s why some people continue to live in the world of contrast when they could simply decide to make the best of it and allow in the new, much better-feeling experience. Crap happens, but not continuously and forever. Decide to make the best of every experience, and let yourself turn from contrast to feeling better and more connected whenever you can. I do it all day…except in brief moments of creating a new and better experience through contrast. You can too. Here are a few tips to do this easier:

  • When you feel contrast, just try to make the best of it. Say things like “It could have been worse,” or “there is a time for everything, including this experience. It will get better soon.”
  • If you are very disconnected…angry, frustrated, or fearful…just reach for the best thought you can find, even if it doesn’t feel good. Let feeling better be your goal. Keep reaching!
  • When you observe something that makes you feel bad, turn away as soon as you can and give your attention to something that feels better. This might mean not watching TV, reading the paper, or listening to the news very often.

You are in control of every aspect of your life. There is no force that can line you up with things that don’t match your vibration. You get to choose. Make the best choices you can, and reap the benefits of loving your life more and more and more. Be.Love, Hannya-GP

With Law of Attraction There’s Always “Another Boat!”

Life is certainly filled with moments where you are confronted with choices. How you perceive and live those choices determines how your life unfolds for you. Some people, however, worry that they won’t make great choices when the time comes, or that the Universe will stop sending opportunities for great things to happen. This point of view can create tremendous pressure to make the right choices in every moment so that you don’t miss your last opportunity for something. It relies on the belief that there is a finite number of things you get to have, and that if you “miss the boat” your ship will sail away without you. It makes your present into a high-stakes, win-or-lose proposition. But you know, the Law of Attraction is responsible for lining you up with things that match your average vibration over time, and that it is a consistent, ever-functioning and ever-present law. It never stops working for you because you never stop vibrating a signal from where ever you are. This is really great news, because it means that you are never stuck in a place that can’t change…you can always change your thoughts and in doing so, change your reality. There will always be a boat at your dock when you come down to the pier. Your thoughts, feelings, and actions determine your point of attraction, so all you need to do is pay attention to how you feel, and then reach for the best thoughts you can find on any subject. With a little lag time, your manifested life will mirror your inner reality of thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Here’s an example to put this into perspective. Let’s say you are going on a blind date because you have been working to allow a new relationship into your experience. You go meet a person and you feel that there are things you like, but there are also things about the interaction that you are not as excited about. You could possibly get into a feeling of “this has to work…this may be my last chance for this kind of happiness.” You may start feeling the pressure I referred to earlier to “make it work” despite your guidance system telling you that you feel mixed about it. You may feel that you could miss the boat, and that there might not be another boat behind it. But there is always another boat. And another boat. And more behind those too. The Universe will keep sending you experiences that match your vibration, and when you are connected to Source Energy and feeling good in the Vortex, you will like the boats that come your way more and more. When you know that the boats never end, and that the boats (opportunities to choose) will be more and more to your liking as you get good at feeling better, you can feel good about passing up a few while you wait for one to come that feels 100% right. In fact, you can use Law of Attraction to your advantage in any moment by affirming that your favorite boat is at the dock, and that your desire is to get on board. You can enjoy the feeling of knowing you have perfect timing, and that your life has the unlimited potential to thrill you. When you feel like you missed an opportunity, whether it be a new job, a relationship, or whatever, just say “there is always another boat,” and expect it to appear. Try this today, and see if it brings you a sense of relief about your choices and opportunities. You never get it all done in this life…it just keeps unfolding…so enjoy your walk to the dock. The Universe Hears Your Every Desire!

If you think that you have to ask the Universe to align you with everything you want, you are right. Unless you ask, nothing will change for you. Luckily, you are asking the Universe all day and every day for a better and better life. Every time you desire something it is because you notice that you don’t have it. By noticing you don’t have it, you tell the Universe “Hey, I want this!” Sometimes, we think we need to ask over and over again, so that we are really heard by Source Energy and the Universe. We think that if we ask enough times, we will get what we want through sheer stubbornness. But that is not how it works.

The Universe hears everything you say, everything you feel, and it reads your vibration. If you want something, it knows. It knows you better than even your friends and family know you. It knows what you want down to the very detail of your inner desires. Better still, it has created what you want and has all of it waiting for you to allow into physical form. When you align with what you have asked for, it will be tailor-made just for you, with all your personal specification in place. What this means is that you will, at some point, experience an amazing unfolding in your physical experience that will simply blow your mind! It will thrill you and make you say “Wow…that is amazing!” Many people comment at this point, “be careful what you ask for…” And this is true. What you want is on the way, as long as you are willing to be a vibrational match to it. Once you accept the manifestation by aligning with the vibration, the Law of Attraction will bring it swiftly to you to experience in your present moment. All is well, and all is on the way. Blissed Out Really Means “Blessed-In!”

Lately I have been feeling so happy! I took the advice I have been reading here to heart and decided to give all my attention to things that make my heart sing. This doesn’t (at least for me) mean that I am living under a rock…not at all. No one could notice a big change in the way I move through my day, but I notice a really big difference. So what has changed, you ask? Simply put, I am navigating by feeling. I’ll give a few examples here.

  1. I am sitting in my apartment reading a magazine and I see a picture of a person smiling. It makes me feel good, and I begin to smile too. Instead of turning the page, like I would usually do, I stick on the good feeling of drinking in the smile, and I let it fill my body with joy. Then, when I am ready to move on, I move on.
  2. I am in the grocery store admiring the fresh fruit aisle when I see a young child being pushed by an adult. The child reaches out to touch something, and the adult slaps her hand and yells at her. I acknowledge the event, but I immediately turn to the next aisle to admire the next display of abundance. Normally I would have stewed and been mad at the adult all day, even after I left the store. This time I keep my connection and begin again in the new space to feel better and better.
  3. I am walking down the street and I see a street musician playing an accordion. He’s not that good. Instead of thinking of what he isn’t, I think about what he is: an extension of the same God Force that pulses through me. He is also an extension of Source Energy. His music speaks to me in a new way, and I feel an urge to drop a five dollar bill in has case. He smiles. I feel great. In my Bliss, I feel more and more Blessed.

I have been feeling my way through these past few weeks more and more. I have been feeling better and better. I have experienced personally how the Law of Attraction brings you more and more of what ever you focus on. As I have been choosing to turn from yuck and steer toward yes, I have been getting more and more “YES!” In fact, I didn’t think there was this much “yes” out there for little ‘ole me. The more I choose feeling good, the more I see to feel good about. It’s not a vicious cycle, it’s an upward spinning vortex of joy that I can’t seem to stop (and why would I want to stop it!) As Your Thoughts Change, So Will Your Life!

In his bookChange Your Thoughts – Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao,” Dr. Wayne Dyer discusses the ancient writings of Chinese philosopher Lao-tzu. Lao-tzu wrote a text containing 81 verses called the Tao Te Ching or the “Great Way,” and he wrote it 2,500 years ago! I have read and re-read Dr. Dyer’s book recently, and I find it very fascinating! I know for a fact that Wayne Dyer knows about, uses, and is a proponent of the Law of Attraction, and that he is a very connected and aware person. Although he doesn’t mention Law of Attraction at all in the book, he hints at it all the way through, and offers some very practical advice for living a peaceful, bliss-centered life. If this sounds interesting to you, you can follow the link (above) and buy a copy for yourself. This book is my inspiration today for a few thoughts that I will share with you all now.
The life you are experiencing right now is the natural and perfect outpouring of the thoughts you have been including in your experience over time. I say including because you have to factor in the “passive thinking” we do when we observe others, watch TV, read books, or allow thoughts to creep in from our daily experiences and interactions. Some people think that the words they choose to think matter most, but this is not the case. For example, say the following phrase to yourself or outloud:
  • “I am a healthy, thriving, loving, and connected being!”

How do you feel when you say this? Does it feel “real” to you? Perhaps it feels real when you doubt the words, as if it were a question:

  • “I am a healthy, thriving, loving, and connected being?”
Or maybe you feel more authentic when you give it a sarcastic tone, saying the words and not really meaning them at all. Clearly, you can see that the words don’t matter as much as the vibrational tone associated with the words as you think them. In fact, the feeling behind the words continues long after you have thought the specific words. Some also believe they create their experience through a few minutes of focused thinking that they do during the day…while disregarding the rest of their thinking and feeling for the rest of the day. But your point of attraction is always based on the quality of your average vibration…which is determined by how you feel about the thoughts you are thinking. Saying “positive” words and feeling unhappy will not help you attract positive experiences through the Law of Attraction. But feeling positive, or optimistic, or grateful, or appreciative will make a noticeable difference in your daily results.
So when I suggest that you change your thoughts to change your life, I am really suggesting that you change your average vibrational offering. I am encouraging you to feel a little different than you usually do. I know this can seem confusing, but if you pay attention to the way your thoughts feel, and then choose new words that feel a little better, you will start changing your vibrational average, and hence your point of attraction. If you like everything about your present life situation, then just keep on doing what you are doing. Your experience will always, always, always be the perfect evidence of your vibrational average. If things are fine, stay the course. If you have some things you would prefer to change, start by noticing how you feel, and then reach for the best-feeling thoughts you can find on every topic you encounter. Should You Try To Feel Gratitude or Appreciation?

Gratitude Planet is dedicated to helping you feel better every day. Feeling better simply means moving up the Emotional Scale and finding the best thought that you have access to. But some people say that feeling grateful implies a feeling of relief from something that almost happened that was uncomfortable. Something like, “I am grateful that that car behind me didn’t hit me when I slammed on my brakes.” While this might be true, the word “gratitude” by itself does not need to imply a state just missing some sort of disappointment. What really matters is how you feel when you declare what you are grateful for. Some people use the word appreciation instead of gratitude when they make their positive statements, but either word can work. It’s up to you. In reality, a word is just made up of symbols that attempt to convey, in this case, a feeling or a vibration. It is the vibration that matters the most. The key is connecting to what you are feeling. So in your gratitude, color it with a good dose of appreciation, and connect to the best feeling you can find. How you feel is always the best indicator of your Point of Attraction, and gratitude and appreciation are always close to your Vortex, the place where you are completely connected to Source Energy and allowing all good things to flow to you. It’s OK To Feel Your Feelings!

Your Emotions Are Your Indicators!

Once I started using the Law of Attraction consciously in my daily life, I started worrying about my thoughts more. I started noticing that I didn’t feel good as much as I thought I did. I began to worry that if I thought “wrong thoughts,” my life would crumble as the Law of Attraction brought me more things I thought about. I began to fear my own thoughts and feelings. I was afraid that if I thought something that didn’t feel “good” that I would have to suffer the consequences when the thoughts manifested. I started trying to NOT think certain thoughts, which is next to impossible. If I tell you NOT to think about a red rose, you have already thought about it before you finish this sentence. For a while I was caught in a “thought trap” where I tried to only be “positive” and I tried to resist “negative” thoughts and emotions. If you have ever done this, you know that it isn’t much fun at all. Being cheery when you feel cranky feels bad in the end, but if you are afraid to feel cranky…you are stuck. A happy mask doesn’t change the way you feel inside, so you are really not paying attention to your feelings, thoughts, and emotions at all. You are just ignoring all of it. Is that what we are supposed to do? Is Law of Attraction about ignoring how you feel? Of course, the answer is a resounding NO!

While the thoughts you think and the emotions you feel absolutely do create your point of attraction, your feelings are your indicator of where you are on the emotional/vibrational scale. If you are unfamiliar with the emotional/vibrational scale, you can read more about it HERE. Your feelings are not to be feared because they give you important information about your present state of allowing. Your feelings tell you when you are connected to Source Energy, and also when you are resisting your Source Energy. It’s like your gas gauge in your car. You don’t get mad at the gas tank because it indicates that you need to stop and fill the tank, do you? (You may not like how often it reads empty, but that’s a different thing! LOL!) Fearing your feelings and pretending to be happy when you aren’t is just like putting a “smiley face” sticker over your gas gauge. You ignore the important information, and pretty soon there is a crisis much bigger than you had hoped for. So I learned to let my feelings be my feelings, and I started filling my emotional/vibrational tank when my “feeling gauge” told me to. I stopped fearing my thoughts and feelings, and just rode them up and down the Vibrational scale with ease. I relaxed more, and I found it to be very freeing.

I will post a list of tips that I use to fill my emotional/vibrational tank soon. Until then, just be easy about your feelings and emotions. What ever you feel is real, but it is not permanent. You are never stuck in one emotion for very long, and you can always find the best thought you have access to. Acknowledge what is, and then look for relief from the feeling. Ignoring is not a good way to manage your emotions, but feeling fully is. It’s OK to feel your feelings, and today is a great day to give yourself this permission, if you haven’t done so already. Your Vibrational Average Equals Your Point Of Attraction!

As you are practicing being a deliberate creator of your life, it is so important to be choosy about what you give your attention to. Your focus of thinking, feeling, and acting is what creates your point of attraction…and point of attraction is like a telegram you deliver to Law of Attraction asking the Universe to match you with more of the same. This makes sense when you think of your point of attraction in terms of an average vibration. If you take any measure 100 times, you will begin to approach a reliable average for that particular measurement. For example, if you randomly measure the heights of 100 people in a large room full of 500 people, and then add the heights and divide the sum by 100, you will have a good average measurement for the height of all people in the room. Of course, your reliability gets better when you measure more and more people. One hundred gives you a good start at estimating the average, and five hundred obviously determines the exact average. Your point of attraction, then, is your exact vibrational average over time…and as I said, it is what Source Energy sends you more of through the Law of Attraction. This is why people get frustrated with deliberate creation sometimes, and this frustration makes complete sense when you dig just a little deeper.

When you compute an average, you are taking into account every measure collected so that you can have a single number to report. But within the 100 height measurements described above, there will still be some rather tall people and some rather short people. This becomes clearer when you think of the extremes in this example. If I measured only two people in a room, and there were only two people there, I could still compute the average height for the room. Let’s say one person is seven feet tall and the other is four feet tall. The equation is ((7+4)/2)=5.5. So the average height in this room with two people is 5.5 feet. But no one in the room is actually that height! An average, in this case, doesn’t describe anyone in the room specifically at all in terms of height. Yet that is what an average is…the measure that crunches all the numbers to get a single measure in the middle.

When you think, feel, and act, you are creating vibrational measures that are sent to the Universe. But the Universe has the ability to collect every one of these measures to compute your vibrational average. The Universe never just sifts through to take a sample. In other words, you are constantly sending vibrational measurements when you think, feel, and act, each day, every day, in every second of every moment. Your average vibration might be made up of some really good-feeling moments, as well as some very disconnected moments, as well as a bunch of “in between” moments. This is why what you get sometimes seems to be different than what you thought you were asking for. If you have a car accident, it’s not because you thought the words “car accident.” Rather, your vibrational average was matched by Law of Attraction to bring you the experience of “car accident.” An unpleasant manifestation will always have some very disconnected moments preceding it to bring down the vibrational average over time. Likewise, pleasant manifestations will be preceded by enough connected moments that drive up the average as well. What you think and feel (on average) is always, always, always a match to what you get, period.

Because you are asking all day, every day, it makes sense to give your focus and attention only to things that drive up your vibrational average over time. As a spirit having a human experience, there will always be some moments of contrast and disconnection…and that’s OK! Remember that a tall person and a short person equal an average-height person, so being really disconnected or really connected some of the time won’t bring you either extreme as an average vibration. It is your job (and this is your only job) to raise your vibrational average. When you do, your get more prosperity, wealth, wellness, health, joy, gratitude, bliss, and abundance. Thank You Sir, May I Have Another?

The phrase “Thank You Sir, May I Have Another?” is usually associated with a sarcastically humorous reference to fraternity hazing where a pledge gets a wooden paddle across his back side and is required to politely ask for another wack. Regardless of the negative connotations associated with this image, it is a good one for understanding the Law of Attraction and how it functions in your life. When you give your attention to something…or anything, for that matter, you include it in your vibration and add it to your point of attraction. Your point of attraction is what Law of Attraction matches and magnifies, so to give something your attention is to literally ask for more of it. Yes, that’s right, your simple attention to anything helps create more of it in your life, even if you don’t want more of it. But, you say, I know the difference between things I want and things I don’t want. Surely Source Energy is smart enough to know what I want. But here is the difference: Source is “smart enough” to give you anything you ask for, but it does not decide for you in terms of what you want. You are so free to choose that you can choose bondage, and Source will agree with you. There is no “overrule” law that asks you before you choose. You live, and in living you focus, and through your focus you choose, and in your choosing you are asking for more. So what you give your attention to really does matter.

Today, just notice what you are choosing to include in your vibration. The Gratitude Planet staff is always encouraged to ignore bad-feeling news stories when they post to the “Good News” section of GP, and we all get distracted into reading some stories that feel bad from time to time. But we notice when we are doing it, and then we choose differently as soon as we can. Just because something looks interesting doesn’t mean it feels good. Law of Attraction brings you more and more of what you give your attention to and include in your vibration over time, so remember to ask for things you want by focusing on the things you want exclusively when you can. Your Life Is A Beautiful Experiment Of Creation!

As I understand the Law of Attraction, there is no thing that you can’t have as long as you align of the vibration of the thing or circumstance you want. I am getting clearer and clearer that the words I say to myself don’t matter as much as the feeling of the words I am saying to myself. This is so important because the Universe only reads your vibration but not your words. So no matter how “positive” you think you have been, the only thing that matters is the vibration behind the words. This is why if you have been saying positive affirmation statements about getting more money, but no money has come yet, you should pay more attention to how you feel when you say these statements. If you say “I have all the money I need, I have all the money I need, I have all the money I need” but don’t see more prosperity manifesting, you might be feeling “I need more money, I need more money, I need more money” when you say those words instead. Whatever you get is what the Universe heard, and your life right now is the vibrational match of the feelings you have been feeling. I love this because I have all the feedback I need to know how I have been doing. On any topic I can see what IS and then adjust my thinking (and feeling) to see what changes. It’s a great scientific experiment, really. The constants are the Law of Attraction and Source Energy. The variables are your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Change the variables to see the effect on your life. You don’t need to control for the constants! They don’t change at all. You have complete control of the variables but you may have patterns of thinking, feeling and acting that no longer serve you. If your life is not changing to be more like what you want it to be, you have to change the variables of the scientific equation: your thoughts, feelings, and actions. These together add up to your Point of Attraction which is the REAL message and variable of the equation. Your point of attraction is what Law of Attraction matches and amplifies. If you are in a rut with your thinking and feeling, even if you change your words, if your point of attraction is recreated the same, nothing will seem to change for you.

Today, think of your life as a brand new experiment. Make a decision to change the variables for the duration of the experiment. Decide how long the experiment will be. I recommend you start with a week. You should see a little change in your results in a week, and if you can stick with it longer, everyone will see your results in about 30 days. Change your patterns and habits intentionally. Do things you have put off, or enjoy things you love to do more. Worry less. Walk a new way to work, or call a friend you haven’t spoken to in years. Watch new TV programs, or turn off your TV. Read a new book. Start a new exercise program, or a new diet. The goal is to change your point of attraction, even a little. Then you will believe in the power of your life to be whatever you want it to be. You are the great scientist of your life, and the experiment never ends, and you can’t ever mess it up forever either. You can always begin again. Be.Love today, Hannya-GP

With Law of Attraction, When Is It OK To Be “Selfish?”

The Law of Attraction has been criticized by some people as a “selfish” approach to life. It teaches that you can do, be, or have anything you want, as long as you align with the thoughts, feelings, and actions of the things you want. The perception of selfishness is based on a mistaken belief that there is not enough, and that when you get something, someone else misses out. But the Law of Attraction is not a tool for stealing someone else’s stuff from them. It is a tool for aiding in the expansion of the Universe through your focused desires. It is a big part of how the world evolves and expands to accommodate ALL desires on planet Earth. It is a consistent law because it fairly and perfectly brings you events and things that match your average vibrational offering. Law of Attraction never has to say, “sorry, that’s out of stock, please ask for something else right now.” It has the unlimited ability to bring the essence of anything you want into your experience, and it doesn’t matter how many others have asked for the same thing. There is no limit, except the limit of your personal vibrational alignment on any topic. No one can offer a vibration for you, so what you think about and focus on, and how you feel, determines your point of attraction. Law of Attraction is always reading your vibrational point of attraction and matching you up with more experiences that are like it. Another way to say this is that if you think a thought, and you keep thinking this thought, and you really get on a rampage with this thought…then you will find it easier and easier to think this thought, as well as other thoughts that feel just like it. Very soon, you will see evidence of this thought appearing “out of nowhere” and seemingly inserting itself in your daily experience. People, events, and seemingly “chance” occurrences will start to mirror the vibrational average of these thoughts. You will have created a new aspect to your daily experience that now seems to be coming at you from outside yourself…but remember that it all started with a thought you kept thinking and thinking until it had enough momentum to appear and manifest “from outside.” The real question worth asking at this point is “how do you like this thing, circumstance, or experience you have created?” If you are thrilled, bravo to you. If it sucks, you can begin again by choosing a different line of thinking and feeling on this topic. You get to choose. Yea!

So what does it mean to be “selfish” in light of all this? Being selfish means that you care enough about yourself that you are willing to think, feel, and act in positive ways toward yourself. It means that you understand that you are the only one creating and attracting things to you, and it means that you have ultimate responsibility to choose your point of attraction. Being selfish means getting really picky about how you feel, and the thoughts you choose to rampage about. Selfish means “full of self” but not “taking from others.” Selfishness is an act of responsibility where you fill yourself with love and connection, and then radiate that energy out to the world, and the others living in it.

Some feel that the opposite of selfish is “selfless.” They contend that true service to others is demonstrated when you don’t care at all about yourself, but rather when you care more about others. But you can’t think and feel for another person. You can’t align someone else up with anything…that is their job. If you get really focused on someone else’s happiness and turn away from your own happiness, you have little to offer them in terms of happiness. In fact, you can’t get unhappy and inspire ANYONE to happiness. What inspires and attracts happiness is…more happiness. You give to others when you are selfish enough to be connected to Source Energy. You will never be poor enough to make others rich, or sick enough to make others well. Rather, focus on your own thriving on all topics that are important to you. Your success and vibrational set point will inspire others, and you will radiate joy and connection. You help others by living your life fully, and by teaching through your actions. Think about it: When you go to a teacher, you want them to be living the curriculum they teach. You don’t want them to be the opposite of their message so that YOU can align with it. We align with our desires, and the Law of Attraction boosts our alignment, and then we radiate this alignment by being who we are. Be selfish. Care about what you are attracting. Law of Attraction: Your Feelings Tell You Everything You Need To Know!

One of the confusing things about Law of Attraction for some people is determining how to make a firm connection between their thoughts and the manifestations attracted by those thoughts. You will remember that what you think, on average and over time, determines your point of attraction. Your point of attraction is the set point that the Universe uses to line you up with events and circumstances. Some people believe that Law of Attraction works like this, because this is their experience: “I want a car. I will think about a car. Now I will get a car. Where the heck is my car? This stuff doesn’t work!” They come to believe that if LoA was really at work behind the scenes, as they have been told it is, then everyone would have everything they want instantly. It is logical, in light of that argument, that LoA is not real, and that what you think doesn’t matter much at all. Yet there have been many, many books over the years that tout the benefits of positive thinking in all areas of living. Positive thinking and optimism have been purported to have positive correlations to expanded health, wealth, wellness, and prosperity. And many of these books and papers don’t discuss or even address a Universal force that lines up events and circumstances. There appears to be a connection to what we think and the results we get in our lives, regardless of the reasons and causes behind the phenomenon. This alone should provide inspiration for a person to examine the contents of their own mind and pay attention to the thoughts they offer on average and over time. Thinking about a car may (or may not) help you get the car. So how do you know if you are attracting the car? One very powerful way to know if the car is on the way is to pay attention to how you feel when you think about the car.

How you feel when you think a thought tells you everything you need to know about your point of attraction surrounding that thought. Here’s why this gets so confused. When you want something, you want it because you feel a lack of it in your “real” experience. In the case of the car, you probably really want the car because you really need the car. You want the car because the car you have is giving you troubles. You might want the car because you are tried of asking for rides, or tired of walking to get around. We ask for things because of a “bad” or contrasting experience that clarifies what we want to change. So if you start thinking about a new car, you will most certainly think about it, at least at first, in light of your present circumstances…a disconnected feeling about what is. Thinking about a new car, but feeling sad or disconnected about your present car (or lack of a car) creates a point of attraction equal to the present car. The Universe, through Law of Attraction, does work…but it matches you up with your present car over and over again. While you think you are asking for something else, your vibrational offering is stuck on wanting the car because you hate what you have, and thus you are attracting to you more of the same.

You can try NOT to think about your present car, but trying not to do something really just equals thinking about it. The Law of Inclusion makes it impossible to exclude a thought, because you can’t NOT think something…attempting to do so causes you to think about it. So instead, turn to thoughts that feel good while you think them. This takes some practice, but if you pay attention to how you feel when you think a thought, you will know if you are allowing the car or not allowing the new car. If you say to yourself, “my car will be so good to drive, and it will be dependable,” only YOU know how this feels. If it feels great to say these words, say them often and look for more words that feel even better. If however, these words imply “because the piece of crap car I am in right now is undependable, and I hate it,” then you are not heading in a vibrational direction that will change circumstances and events to bring the new car into your experience. Here’s the key to all of this: you don’t really need to think about a car at all! If your experience of contrast has clarified a desire for the new car, then it is available to you as soon as you get out of your own way. If you can find connection and feelings that feel like optimism, expectation, happiness, gratitude, or appreciation on random topics in your average daily experience, then you will manifest the new car in short order. Your feelings tell you everything you need to know. Start looking for reasons to feel good today, and look to all the things you are grateful for too. Be appreciative for little miracles that flood your reality every second. You will discover that it’s not difficult to prove that Law of Attraction is real after all, and your friends, family and colleagues will see you thriving. They may ask you what your secret for success is, and you only need to say “It’s no secret. I just care about how I feel. You can do this too.” Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

But There Must Be Some Mistake…Why Would I Create THIS?

Sometimes I wonder if being a celebrity is really as much fun as it seems to be. Living a life in the spotlight must have some exciting moments, and I am sure that high-profile people have a sharp sense of the leading edge of thought, for better or for worse. The joy and contrast that famous people encounter, however, is probably not exceedingly different than anyone else’s experience. We have seen a new wave of celebrity scandals lately, from former Presidential candidate John Edwards to golf legend Tiger Woods (as well as many others). No one is perfect, and no one ever will be. Each person has their own challenges and desires, and it can’t be easy to have millions of people watching you at all times, ready to blame you for your imperfect journey on planet Earth. I rarely give these stories my attention because I am not interested in including them in my vibration, and hence, into my experience. But there are two stories I will mention briefly today to make a point…that there is never a mistake concerning the Law of Attraction because what you get is always a match to your vibrational offering…always, with no exceptions.

I was reading another Law of Attraction blog (’cause I always like to read about and meet new people who are deliberate creators), and I read that Dr. Wayne Dyer had been diagnosed with some sort of cancer. My thoughts became confused for a moment, and then I asked “but how could someone like Wayne Dyer, who seems to have his act together so well, attract cancer? What went wrong?” The answer is, of course, that nothing “went wrong.” Knowing about Law of Attraction doesn’t make someone live in a thought bubble and immune to their own habits of thought. You are a spiritual being having a human experience on this planet, so you will have experiences now and again that feel like contrast. It’s part of the deal. That doesn’t mean that you can’t help others with insights that you have gained through your studies and experiences, and your imperfection shouldn’t stop you from adding as much value as you can to this world. The quote I read that was ascribed to Wayne felt very connected, and he seemed to be in a very allowing frame of mind about his diagnosis. This made me think about how we can’t stop contrast from coming into our lives (nor would we want to do this), but that we have ultimate power to decide how we focus our energy after the manifestation. A contrasting experience always opens up a strong desire for something better, and embracing the new desire is our number one job. That is what I felt from reading Wayne Dyer’s words about his condition. He is turning toward wellness with a new and energized focus. Because the manifestation was not an accident, but rather a culmination of energy flow (or energy blockage), he has a gift-like opportunity to examine how it all came to be. Turning to wellness will help him allow even more wellness. It works this way for everyone, famous or only locally famous.

So what if you are a deliberate creator and you create what can only be described as a total CRAP storm? In this reference I am talking about author and entrepreneur James Arthur Ray. You may remember James as one of the featured speakers in the movie “The Secret.” James did very well creating his own brand name associated with the Law of Attraction, and still has a loyal following who can separate the messenger from the message. He now also has some fierce detractors. He has been arrested for negligent homicide for a tragic incident that left three people dead during one of his retreats. This has caused quite a buzz in the LOA blogosphere, because he is a very visible person who has appeared on programs like Oprah in the name of Law of Attraction. It seems easier to blame James for his woes because he is a motivational speaker, and he makes a living calling others out on their blind spots and weaknesses. It seems like he should have seen this coming, and should have adjusted his thinking accordingly. But he, too, is only human and lives by the same Universal laws we all live with. He obviously didn’t predict the outcome here, and I believe there was no intent to kill anyone. But still, he attracted a XXXL-sized dose of contrast, and it is up to him to find the meaning behind the experience, and adjust accordingly. The Southern California staff from Gratitude Planet went together to see James speak this past fall, and we all had a funny feeling intuitively that we all shared after the seminar over drinks. We all felt an unease about his vibration, as if he was working really, really hard (too hard) to sell us his products. The word “allowing” didn’t make a whole lot of sense compared to the energy we felt that night from the stage. After the talk, he disappeared from the room without chatting with anyone, shaking hands, or answering questions. We were very confused…we wanted to believe he was perfect and living his message. I fully believe in his message, even if the messenger is struggling to hold it all together. When I heard that he attracted the mess he did, I can’t say I was surprised. We felt he was carrying and practicing a vibration that kept him from feeling free…and one that kept us from feeling his free and true self…and now he has manifested another challenge to his freedom, that of potential incarceration.

Interestingly, I read that Wayne Dyer is often the last person standing in a room where he gives a talk. He chats, listens, and gives freely of his time and energy for the people who are interested in his message. These two men, James and Wayne, have had two literally contrasting experiences…and each will continue to attract based on their most practiced vibration. Again, you can’t avoid things going “wrong” for you, but you CAN do your best to live your highest version of YOU. Be grateful, give freely, relax, and let your life be joyful as much as possible. Be appreciative for the famous people who help us learn about ourselves in public, so that we can be our imperfect selves in private. Send love to others, even when they fall short of your expectations. Let people chose what they will, and choose for yourself as well as you can. There is a perfect unfolding in the Universe, and we have an opportunity to align with it if we choose to…not for the sake of perfection, but for the sake of JOY! There are no mistakes. It’s Fun To Define Your Personal Preferences!

When I want my computer to support what I need it to do more easily, I open up the “preferences” pane and customize how it behaves. I love this feature. The only time I need it is when I am frustrated by something. For example, when I open a new word document and the font has to be changed, I can tell the computer to change it automatically for me the next time. I like that I have the option for my “preferences” on my computer. It makes my computing experience more fun and personalized. Did you know that you have your own set of “preferences” in your vibration too? Here’s how it works, in a nutshell: You live your life, some things go really well and some things don’t go quite as well. In both cases, you set your vibrational preferences based on your experience. Your “good” events help you ask for more of the same, and the events that feel bad help you ask for the opposite of the experience. If someone treats you badly, it’s like you open up the preferences pane and set your system to “I want people to treat me nicer.” When you run out of money, you set your preferences automatically to “I really want more money.” Life causes you to want, and you send out your preferences automatically to the Universe where it is heard by your inner being and Source energy.

You might wonder, then, why your experience doesn’t change every time you define your new preferences. When I set a new font on my computer, you might say, it stays changed until I change it again. This is true for your computer, and it is also true for you…sort of. You see, you are not an “on and off/black and white” device. You are a vibrational being that is always experiencing what the Law of Attraction is lining you up with. The LoA is responding to the most practiced thoughts you have been thinking. When you set a new preference for more money, you are setting more money into motion for you immediately. It’s like ordering from the internet. The deal is done as soon as you order it. But it takes time for the order to be picked, handled, put on a truck, and delivered to your door. For the Law of Attraction (or the US mail in this case) to bring it to you, you simply have to stick with your preferences and NOT cancel the order! Can you image how silly it would be to order, say, a pair of shoes on line, and then call to cancel it, and then reorder it, and then cancel it, and then reorder it…and then blame the company for not bringing it to you quickly? That is pretty much what you are doing sometimes if your preferences are not manifesting for you over time. Once you set a new preference, love the fact that you have set it into motion, and then get excited about how it will arrive. See it coming to you, and don’t entertain thoughts for very long that may cancel your “order.”

I love to define my preferences, and I love knowing that the Law of Attraction is the delivery system I can count on to bring it to me. I have preferences set for my job, my mate, my art, my car, my pets, my living spaces, my body, my friends, and the list goes on and on. It’s fun to get to decide on all of these. When something isn’t working anymore, I get to imagine it in a better light, and I get to enjoy the coming improvement. I get what I prefer as long as I don’t cancel the order. How FUN! Optimisim Is A Choice!

I would like to start a series of posts about using optimism to your advantage. Optimism is a key tool in harnessing the full power of the Law of Attraction, and it is nothing more than being picky about the thoughts you choose to think. Each person has a vibrational range, and this range is determined by the average feeling or vibrational content of the thoughts you have been thinking. If you haven’t read the GP post on Using the Emotional Scale, you may want to read it first by clicking HERE. You only have access to thoughts that are close to your vibrational range, so trying to feel optimism when you are feeling doubt is next to impossible to do. But I like optimism as a default “go to” vibration for several reasons. Even if you are in the vibrational range of doubt, your job is to find the best thought that you have vibrational access to. Instead of having to remember what emotional label is above doubt (in this case it is disappointment) I reach for “an optimistic thought” in my range, which might move me into a little higher vibration. I find this easier to do (at least for me) than trying to feel disappointment. I reach for “optimistic doubt” and I land in something that feels better than doubt. From there, I do the same thing again and find some thoughts that could be called “optimistic disappointment,” even if I don’t use that label.

I believe that optimism is especially powerful because it includes a reference to both sides of the issue: the glass is half full, or it is half empty. It helps you choose to focus on the side of the issue that tells a better story. It looks objectively at something and makes the most out of it. It is a launching pad for climbing the emotional scale on any issue. It recognizes the choices you have with two distinct paths, one that leads you closer to where you want to be, and one that leads you away from your desired emotional destination. It is the opposite of delusional; it is grounded and realistic while still being a reach on the vibrational scale. (Incidentally, you can make a good case for the concept of being delusional too, forgetting about “reality” completely and giving thought only to your goal. Many successful people call this “being focused.”)

Do you consider yourself to be an optimist? I know some people that pride themselves on being a self-described “devil’s advocate” and finding the fault in any idea, plan, or brainstorm. They feel that they play an important role in the conversation by bringing everyone down to a realistic level. But they actually do themselves a disservice by lowering their own emotional set point of vibration, which inevitably keeps them feeling worse and worse. The “important role” of pessimist keeps them from manifesting their desires and askings, and their Source will never take a pessimistic view of anything…so they live out of alignment with their own inner being.

Notice today what your thoughts and words feel like. Are they optimistic or pessimistic? Do your thoughts and words lead you to feelings that feel better or feelings that worse?  Just notice. If you find that you inject part your day with pessimism, acknowledge that optimism is a choice, just as pessimism is also a choice. Each can be practiced just as easily as the other. In every moment you can choose to see the best, or the worst. You can reach for the best thought you can find, or you can reach for the worst thought you can find. It’s all up to you, and by paying attention you will be empowered to choose more consciously today.
