			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/voices-1.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1374" title="voices 1" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/voices-1-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" /></a>I was walking the other day and started noticing the voices in my head. Before you think I am crazy (which my friends would say I might be) remember that we all talk to ourselves in our mind. There seems to be a constant chatter going on commenting on everything that is happening all the time. Sometimes when I meditate I can get it to calm down but it is mostly always there. You probably have noticed the same thing.</p>
<p>So on my walk I started observing what the chatter in my mind was. I think because of the rhythm I was walking to, I was mostly singing songs to myself. The songs were songs I know or have known from my past. I had to ask the question, &#8220;what vibration am I reinforcing with these songs?&#8221; I know <em><strong>Law of Attraction</strong></em> always hears what you say and vibrate. The words to the song I had in my head when I started noticing all of this went like this: <em>shot to the heart and you&#8217;re to blame&#8230;you give love a bad name!</em>&#8221; I like this song, and I love Bon Jovi. But I had to decide if it was a good use of my walk and inner talk time to be repeating these words to myself. So for fun, I sang the song but changed the words a bit: <em>love with your heart it keeps you sane&#8230;I give love a good name!</em>&#8221; Just singing the new words to myself made me laugh and smile, and I swear I could feel my vibration raise. I felt better. So notice today what you say to yourself and see if it raises your vibration. If it doesn&#8217;t then change the words, the song, of the theme of your inner voices. It works for me and perhaps you will feel a positive difference in your vibration too. I hope so.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t tend to sing songs, just notice what you say to yourself in your mind. Are you kind to yourself, or do you put yourself down? Are you optimistic, or do you expect things to go wrong for you? You are in charge of the words you think. You have the control to make a positive change at any time you choose to. <em>Law of Attraction</em> will always respond and magnify your average vibration, and the words you think and the way you feel is what creates this vibration. In these cases we often assign our happiness to a future time when we will be "done" and can then "arrive" in some new place or mindset. We might say "I'll be happy when I can pay these bills'" or a similar statement. When you do this, you use Law of Attraction to your disadvantage. Remember that the Law of Attraction only responds to your vibration and not your words. So saying "I will put off my happiness until later in the future when this thing happens" keeps the thing from happening, and keeps you in an unhappy place. We are eternal beings, and there is no "there" to get to. The best way to have everything you want right now is to enjoy everything you have right now.  There is a perfection in our imperfection...our journey can't be completed...because it never ends. So don't wish for the better day to come. ]]></description>

I get the feeling that if I just try a little harder, or focus a little more I will finally be done doing the thing I am doing. This can certainly be true when the thing is paying the bills, or painting a house, or doing the dishes. But what about when you assign that frame of mind to larger aspects of your life, like attaining enlightenment, perfecting your tennis game, or becoming wealthy and prosperous? In these cases we often assign our happiness to a future time when we will be &#8220;done&#8221; and can then &#8220;arrive&#8221; in some new place or mindset.</p>
<p>Have you ever heard yourself say: &#8220;I&#8217;ll be happy when I can pay these bills&#8217;&#8221; or a similar statement. When you do this, you use <em><strong>Law of Attraction</strong></em> to your disadvantage. Remember that the Law of Attraction only <em>responds to your vibration and not your words</em>. So saying &#8220;I will put off my happiness until later in the future when this thing happens&#8221; keeps the thing from happening, and keeps you in an unhappy place.</p>

If you love your NOW, you will start ushering in amazing new NOWS as your future becomes the present over and over again. You will no longer long for your work to be over so you can relax into your wellbeing, because you will already be relaxing into the best part&#8230;and the ONLY part we have access to&#8230;the present. You get to decide what feels best to you. Next take two minutes to be Grateful.]]></description>

<p>For all of our <strong><em>Gratitude Planet</em></strong> community located outside of the United States who might not know it, today is Independence Day in the US. It&#8217;s a day to reflect on all the gifts we have, all the people that we appreciate, and the freedoms we enjoy in an open society. People are generally off work and are gathering with friends and family for a cookout and a local parade. It&#8217;s the perfect day to whip up some Gratitude and Thanks, and now is the perfect moment to let the horses run on a rampage of appreciation and gratitude. </p>
<p>Start with <strong>Thanks</strong>. Wherever you are right now, take two minutes and mentally list everything you can think of that you are thankful for. Your inner monologue may be something like &#8220;Thank you for the weather today, thank you for the air I am breathing, thank you for the clothes I am wearing, thank you for the eyes I use to see, thank you for my mind that helps me think, thank you for the &#8230;..&#8221; You get to decide what feels best to you. </p>
<p>Next take two minutes to be <strong>Grateful</strong>. It might go something like this: &#8220;I am grateful for my job (or job prospects), and I am grateful for my amazing living space that feels so good to be in, and I am grateful for my interactions with others, both in person and in cyberspace, and I am grateful for my coffee maker that creates a perfect morning drink for me, and I am grateful for&#8230;&#8221; Again, the words you choose are the right ones for you. Next move to <strong>Appreciation</strong>. Appreciation feels a little more connected than Gratitude, which is why you should move through Thanks, to Gratitude, and then to Appreciation. </p>
<p>So now, take two minutes and mentally list everything you appreciate. Don&#8217;t worry if you repeat some things that you have already said. Your inner monologue may be something like &#8220;I appreciate my spouse who loves me so much, and I appreciate my body and all its health and wisdom, and I appreciate my dog who always seems connected and free, and I appreciate <strong><em>Source Energy</em></strong> and its consistent flow of well-being into my experience, and I appreciate&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>If you do these three simple exercises, you will feel a shift in your vibration. You will move up the <strong>Vibrational Scale</strong>. Your cork will begin to float again&#8230;and you will definitely feel an expansion in the way you <em>feel</em>. You will be able to move into love and bliss. You will have done the inner work required to change your world for the better. You will be able to carry this vibration into your whole day. Enjoy the freedom you have to feel better today, and as always, enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/hard-work.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1309" title="hard-work" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/hard-work-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a>As consciousness having a human experience on planet Earth, we are by nature &#8220;doers.&#8221; We like to do things, and we like to see results from our actions. It is easy to start seeing our actions as the only way things come to us, and to put artificial pressure on ourselves to &#8220;do more&#8221; and to &#8220;be motivated.&#8221; Working harder can be fun, and seeing better and better results feels very good. But if you are seeing fewer results from your efforts than you would like to, it may be a good time to examine how you have been approaching your actions. Have you been inspired, or just motivated? If you have been a regular visitor to <a title="Gratitude Planet" href="http://www.gratitudeplanet.com" target="_blank"><em>GratitudePlanet.com</em></a>, you know that we encourage being present and expanding into <strong><em>not doing</em></strong> anything sometimes.</p>
<p>Not doing is a powerful way to let go and to <em>allow</em>. However, it doesn&#8217;t mean that you should sit in your house and wait for someone to come feed, clothe, and exercise your body for you! There is a time for not doing, and there is a time for doing. If you are in the habit of waking up to a full run and going about your day at light speed, you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially if the pace has been this way for a while. If so, try this approach for a week (if you need to rise earlier to get quiet time in your household, do so): wake and list <em>ten things</em> you appreciate or are grateful for in your life. Hold them to you and be silent. Expand into the wonderful feeling of these gifts in your life. Sit quietly and picture yourself doing the things you love to do. See yourself sailing, or painting, or singing, or dancing, or laughing with others, or enjoying your new house, or your new relationship, or whatever&#8230;you know best and you get to choose. Don&#8217;t put limits on your own mind, and just allow yourself to experience these thoughts as if they were already a manifested experience in your reality.</p>
<p>As you do this exercise, you will start to receive important information from the <strong><em>Universe</em></strong> in the form of new pictures in your imagination, or in the form of a feeling of inspiration. You will come to a new awareness and clarity about what only you can do this day. You will get a clearer sense of your priorities and goals for the day, and you will be <em>inspired to move forward into action</em>. When you feel this, stop the meditation exercise and start the action side of your day, following the inspiration you have received.</p>
<p>Actions that are undertaken with uninspired motivation are harder to accomplish, less fun, and leave you feeling worse than before you did the action. <em>Inspired action</em> puts you into the flow of the <em>Universe</em>, so you enjoy the experience more, you have more ease in the process, and you have perfect timing with resources appearing effortlessly as they are needed. You will attract the things you need through <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong>, and you will feel the perfection of the process more and more. Inspired action is easy and invigorating. Motivation can be draining over time. So today, notice how you are moving into your doing phase. Try this inspiration meditation for a week and journal all the things you accomplish. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/inner-peace.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1200" title="inner-peace" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/inner-peace-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a>It&#8217;s Memorial Day in the United States, and I just love an extra day to just remember the things that I am grateful for. It makes me think of the song &#8220;Let There Be Peace On Earth&#8221; because of the message it contains: &#8220;Let there be peace on Earth, <em>and let it begin with me</em>.&#8221; It makes sense that we should be like the thing we want, because that&#8217;s how the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> lines you up with things. <em>Law of Attraction</em> draws things to you by sensing your vibration and matching it with other thoughts, feelings, and experiences that are similar. And as we have been discussing in others posts on GP, giving your attention to something is all you have to do to start vibrating like it. You are what you think, and what you interact with and focus on becomes your<em> point of attraction</em>&#8230;meaning that the <strong><em>Universe</em></strong> is bringing you more and more of it constantly. The phrase &#8220;and let it begin with me&#8221; is very wise advice for deliberate creators because it puts the emphasis right where it belongs: on you!</p>
<p>When you want to attract something to you, you need to <em>vibrate and become one with it</em> first. In practical terms, if you want more <em><strong>money</strong></em> and <strong><em>prosperity</em></strong>, you must first begin to <em>feel</em> like you have more money and prosperity. If you want an intimate relationship with a new person, you have to feel like the person is already there. If you want peace for the Earth, you must first make peace with yourself and the people in your immediate vicinity.</p>
<p>Try this today: make a list of several words that you think best describe what you want to see in others, or in the world. Only you know the best words for you today, but some of these might include: honest people, caring friends, peaceful world, loving family, prosperous economy, thriving health, etc.. Choose one and decide that you are going to let this greater desire begin with YOU! Become quiet, breathe calmly and deeply, and &#8220;see&#8221; yourself having achieved this greater desire. <em>Feel</em> how you would feel if it were already yours to have. Imagine others interacting with you and commenting on this thing you now have, and how great you look and feel having achieved it. Project this feeling outward toward everything in the Universe. Expand into the knowing that you were able to align with these desires easily, and that you can do it again&#8230;easily&#8230;on any subject you choose. Give thanks and end the visualization with the knowledge that you have literally created a point of attraction that will create magic in your day. You are now ready to line up with evidence of your alignment through perfect timing, &#8220;chance&#8221; encounters, and new and exciting developments in all areas of your life. Stick to one or two desires for two to four weeks, and just enjoy the process of already having what you want to see in the world. Say to yourself, <em><strong>&#8220;Let there be _____ on Earth, and let it be me, breathe me, and live through me right now.&#8221;</strong></em> Try it and let us know how it worked for you. What would your list look like, based on your day?</strong></em></p>
<p>1. Thank You for the way I awoke refreshed this morning, feeling good and in the <strong><em>Vortex</em></strong>.</p>
<p>2. I am grateful for <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> that always matches me up with more of what I think, feel and do.</p>
<p>3. I appreciate my partner who had sweet things to say to me over a cup of coffee. Even my coffee smiled at me!</p>
<p>4. I love the way the sun came up to shine a clear ray at me and warm my face.</p>
<p>5. I am grateful for my car that starts every day and gets me to work safely.</p>
<p>6. I give thanks for the safe drivers on the freeways who are clear minded and connected.</p>
<p>7. I give thanks for my iPod (and car input jack) that is always ready to serenade me with my favorite songs.</p>
<p>8. I appreciate my job for the <strong><em>prosperity</em></strong> and fun it brings to my daily life.</p>
<p>9. I love my family for being who they are and for loving me as I am.</p>
<p>10. I am grateful for the smiles I receive from strangers I see while walking the sidewalks of my city.</p>
<p>11. I appreciate the internet for making my life easier to manage and easier to navigate through.</p>
<p>12. I am grateful for the <strong><em>Source Energy</em></strong> pulsing through every fiber of my consciousness. I am alive, free, and eternal! 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/BeachHammock.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-1152" title="BeachHammock" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/BeachHammock-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /></a>I enjoyed Lisa&#8217;s post yesterday about Lao Tzu and his advice to do nothing. Doing nothing is a big part of <strong><em>allowing</em></strong> everything. There are many other spiritual teachers that guide you toward the state of just &#8220;Being&#8221; as well. When you are in a peaceful and calm state of mind, a place where you are one with the thoughts of the <em><strong>Universe</strong></em>, you are truly one with everything. In fact, when you can get to this mental state, you are in an allowing place where the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> can work magic in your life. It is a great space where everything you are asking for, both with your words and with your vibrations, can easily flow to you in a series of perfect manifestations. It is a magical state. The only question left to ask is: &#8220;why don&#8217;t I find myself in this state of mind more often than I do?&#8221; The answer is intimately connected to this question: &#8220;What are you <em>doing</em> that keeps you from entering this state more often?&#8221; You see, <em>you</em> are the only one who can keep you away from your natural state of <em>just being</em>. When you stop resisting the flow of energy that the <em>Universe</em> is sending to you, you automatically connect to your well being. So it&#8217;s not so much about <em>trying to do anything</em>. It&#8217;s more about<em> letting go</em> of the things you do that keep it all from you. For example, you may do your best to meditate everyday. But when you meditate, do you let go of the chatter of your brain and just trust in the magic of the moment? Are you afraid to let go because you might &#8220;waste&#8221; the time that you could be using to solve the problems of your day? To just BE, you must BELIEVE that all is well, and you must TRUST that you are receiving powerfully through your NOT doing.</p>
<p>To enter <em>Being</em>, you must <em>Believe</em> that your work is done for the moment. You must allow your fear to melt into knowing. You must free yourself from worrying about the details and affirm that <em>Law of Attraction</em> will manage the details for you. When you try to <em>Be</em> without believing, you will doubt yourself, you will be frustrated that more is not coming to you sooner, and you will feel very alone and apart from <em>Source Energy</em>. So today, relax and believe that all is well, because it really is! Let yourself find peace in this moment, right now. You can be excited for what may come in the next moment, but believe in this sacred space and let <em>now</em> be the best moment so far. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP</p>

In the 37th verse of his text, the <strong>Tao Te  Ching, </strong>he wrote the following:</p>
<p><strong>The Tao does nothing,<br />
yet leaves nothing undone.</p>
<p>If powerful men and women<br />
could center themselves in it,<br />
the whole world would be transformed</strong><strong> by itself, in its natural rhythms.</strong></p>
<p><strong><br />
People would be content<br />
with their simple, everyday lives,<br />
in harmony, and free of desire.<br />
When life is simple,<br />
pretenses fall away;<br />
our essential nature shines through.</p>
<p>When there is no desire,<br />
all things are at peace.<br />
When there is silence,<br />
one finds the anchor of the universe<br />
within oneself.</strong></p>
<p>These words still have a powerful message for us today. Have you ever considered that doing everything you need to do can be enhanced by periods of doing nothing at all? It makes sense that rest and relaxation must be spread out in between periods of intense activity, but I am talking about <em>really doing nothing</em>. Often people mistake doing nothing for watching TV, or sitting and thinking about what they have to get done. How about taking a walk and letting the task be walking only, and not solving problems or making &#8220;to do&#8221; lists? Sit quietly for an extended period of time, and let your task be to<em> <strong>just be</strong></em>. Allow your mind to stop the chatter, and let yourself relax, expand, and allow. If this is hard at first, focus on your breathing, counting breaths and feeling what it feels like to be there in the moment. Don&#8217;t feel guilty that you may be wasting time. In your connection you will recharge and be more productive later. In fact, if you can really do this and stop your mind&#8217;s chatter, even for fifteen minutes, you will begin to be able to take this calm-centered awareness into other parts of your life. Your life will feel more centered and less dramatic. You will be in the <strong><em>Vortex</em></strong>. Things will unfold more naturally. <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> will line you up with everything in a perfect order: you will be in the right place at the right time. So go out today and find a time to do <em>nothing</em>. You will &#8220;do&#8221; more toward being connected through doing nothing than you could ever &#8220;do&#8221; working all day long. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/rainbow3.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-951" title="rainbow3" src="http://gratitudeplanet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/rainbow3.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="202" /></a>The rules of the <strong><em>Law of Attraction</em></strong> are quite easy to understand, but are perhaps more difficult to practice deliberately. Simply stated, <em>you attract to you the things that match your vibration</em>. Your life, then, unfolds perfectly based on what the <em>Universe</em> &#8220;hears&#8221; you asking for. You never stop asking, however. You ask with every thought, with every thing you observe, and with every interaction you have with everything. We are all perpetual askers. Another way to say this is that you ask for what you want by focusing on it, and you ask for what you don&#8217;t want by focusing on it. Both (wanted and unwanted) are drawn into your experience by your attention to them. It makes sense, then, to give your full attention to the things you want so that you can manifest the <em>wanted</em> things into your experience.</p>
<p>If you have been playing with these ideas, but are a little frustrated that things are not happening more quickly for you, you may be taking score too soon. Once you have asked for something, usually by living some contrast that clarifies what you <em>do</em> want&#8230;you need to change your focus slightly. If you keep thinking of yourself as someone who needs the new thing, you may be keeping yourself in a pattern where the <em>Universe</em> brings you more of the same. Universal Forces line you up with things that match the essence of where you are&#8230;but the <em>Law of Attraction</em> doesn&#8217;t care if you are experiencing something, or just living it in your imagination: it matches you up with more of where you <em>think</em> you are vibrationally. For example, if you ask for money because you don&#8217;t have much, the <em>Universe</em> &#8220;hears&#8221; you and lines you up with more money. But the vibration you need to align with to manifest it fully is &#8220;I have more money&#8221; and not &#8220;hey, where&#8217;s my money!&#8221; It&#8217;s an amazing Catch 22 here&#8230;you can&#8217;t have it until you feel you already have it&#8230;but as long as you don&#8217;t have it, it&#8217;s tricky to feel like you have it.</p>
<p>Here is something I suggest to get you through the doubt stages of manifestation. Once you have identified something you are asking for, be it prosperity, a new relationship, a better job, or whatever, relax and affirm that your &#8220;work&#8221; is completed. Visualize the essence of this thing in your mind, and see it already coming to you in full form and completion. Feel the complete thrill of having it already. See yourself enjoying it in as many ways as you can imagine. See yourself telling others how much fun you are having with the thing in your experience. Picture it, but more importantly <em>feel and love the essence of it right now.</em></p>
<p>Once you have done this visualization (and do it as often as you can), start looking right away for evidence of it coming to you, and be grateful and appreciative for every sign you see. If you are looking for more money, pick up that penny in the street and tell yourself &#8220;see, I am prosperous and the <em>Universe</em> brings me unexpected income. This is just the tip of the ice burg for me.&#8221; Resist the temptation to say something like &#8220;just a penny? <em>Universe</em>, I never have enough. You didn&#8217;t HEAR me, did you?&#8221; If you look for the small clues, and affirm that they are attached to bigger and bigger clues that eventually usher in the full manifestation, you will rejoice in the smaller evidence as if it were the whole experience coming into your full awareness. The clues ARE there. Your wellbeing is assured. Let go, look for evidence of it, and appreciate the magic of the <em>Law of Attraction</em>. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP</p>
