I was thinking this morning about the phrase “as if your life depended on it,” like when someone says “run as if your life depends on it.” It has several angles worth examining. When you say that your life depends on something, it tends to get your attention. With attention comes focus, and through focus we get clarity. When you are clear about what you want, it is easier to become aligned with an idea. When you are aligned, the Law of Attraction does it’s magic and brings more things to you that are a match to the alignment you have created. So anything that gets your attention can be of benefit to your progress as you create a deliberate life of bliss and connection.
But does your life really depend on something for its existence? Aren’t we eternal beings? Surely we will all make a transition someday back into pure, positive energy. But that won’t be an end, it will just be another transition in an ever-unfolding Universe of expansion. So if we fear death as an end, it can certainly get our attention and give us focus and motivation…but it may cause us to chase our connection to Source from a disconnected, fear-based focus. So I don’t recommend creating focus through fear. So the phrase, “live as if your life depended on it” seems less helpful from this perspective.
So this morning I am using the following phrase to focus my attention to my wellbeing: “Today I live as if my love depends on it!” I am an eternal being. My life is assured. The only real question I have today, then, is whether or not I am allowing my full connection to Source Energy (Love) or not. When I live as if my love depends on it, I take a focused look at how I feel today, knowing that I can open in love, or I can turn from love and be closed off from it. When I choose thoughts that feel good as I think them…thoughts of gratitude, appreciation, wellbeing, etc., I open up my consciousness to higher and higher (better feeling) vibrations. I become a conduit of love and connection. I uplift everyone in my experience (even through cyberspace).
Choose today to pay attention to how you feel, and see if you can allow more love into your vibration. Love yourself first, and then let that love radiate out everywhere you go, into every interaction you have. Love your day, love your cup of coffee, love your job, and love everyone you come into contact with. Your life doesn’t depend on it, but your love does. Live in love today. This summer I did something I haven’t done in years. I was visiting family and there was a large puzzle on the kitchen table in the process of being completed. Working on a puzzle looks so boring, and I hardly consider it as an activity worth spending time on. But I was on vacation, and I really wanted to spend time with family members, so I started working on the puzzle with them. I have to say, it is way more fun to work on a puzzle than it is to watch someone else work on a puzzle.
I suppose that is a good analogy for life as well: it’s so much fun to be a thriving part of an expanding and fulfilling life than it is to watch someone else thriving and expanding. Luckily, we all get to choose how our life expands through the Law of Attraction, and if there is something we want, we need only give our full attention to it and allow it into our experience. There is another great parallel to life and a puzzle: if you do the whole puzzle in anticipation of how you will feel when you put the last piece in place, you will have a lot of hard work for a small payoff at the end. And most likely, like life, you probably won’t feel a huge thrill when the last piece is in place…it will feel like the next logical step, and you will probably be ready for another puzzle. The trick is enjoying the process of putting it together, and having lots of little thrills along the way to enjoy, knowing that the end is not the goal.
If you live your life like a beautiful puzzle, there will be some immediate advantages to you. Here are some that come to me this morning:
You know you are making something beautiful.
You have many triumphs along the way.
Small roadblocks release into times of great progress, as you find a section of pieces that fit together.
You know that there is order to it all, and you can relax into full awareness that all is well, and that everything you need is provided.
You have a job: to find the next piece. Your job is not to finish it all with the next piece, nor could you if you tried to.
With every piece added, the whole scene gets more and more beautiful.
Problems (pieces not found) on one day get a new perspective on another day, and you “see” things you missed the previous day.
Others can help you see things you were missing as well.
You don’t try to force pieces that look close but don’t fit, but rather you relax and know that the right piece is out there to complete your perfect image.
On some level you realize that it’s really just a game. It’s probably not your first or last puzzle, so there is no rush to complete it so that you can be deserving. You are exactly in the right place at the right time, right now…doing today’s puzzle.

The last flight I took there was the normal safely lecture before the jet took off. I pretended to listen (like everyone else) and stared into space. Then, when they got to the part about the oxygen mask coming down from the ceiling it made me think of an important fact of life. This is that you must secure your own mask before helping others. What this means is that you can’t help one other person find their center and connection to Source Energy if you can’t find your own. It is honorable and right to want to be of service and value to others, but you can’t lead another to wellbeing from your sense of not-wellbeing.
The best thing you can do every day is wake, be grateful, and find your sense of bliss and wellbeing before you do anything else. If you see people throughout the day and they sense your good feeling vibration, they are going to want to join you and feel good too. Law of Attraction will line you up with others who feel good too, and you will uplift those who interact with you as well. If you don’t take care of your own vibration first, they will sense this too and will join you in not feeling good. Law of Attraction can line you up with miserable-feeling people just as easily. It’s OK to be selfish when we are talking about putting on your air mask first before you help others. Then let it be OK too that you put on your vibration of wellbeing before trying to assist others to find their wellbeing. Get into the Vortex, and then guide others there to join you. You will be so much more effective doing it in this order. Your power and influence is expanded and multiplied when you are in the Vortex and feeling good, so doing it any other way is not efficient, advisable, or even practical. Make this day be the best day of your life (so far!), and put on your mask of wellbeing and connection. Marie-GP
Every night when you sleep, you emerge into a space where you are very allowing. You receive rest and inspiration. You let go of patterns that you might be keeping (for better or for worse) while you are awake. It is a great time to recharge. I have a technique that I have used for years to make that subconscious time even more valuable to your waking vibration: I say a short, allowing affirmation to myself before I fall asleep each night. It’s easy to do, takes almost no time, and you will feel the effects of it as soon as the next morning. Here’s what you do:
Lie quietly in your bed and close your eyes. You should be ready to drift to sleep. Create a present-tense statement that reflects something you are going to receive while you sleep. Let it be one sentence that feels good when you say it. If it is job related, you could say: “My co-workers always enjoy my leadership, and we are a fantastic team.” If it is prosperity related, you could say: “Money and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.” If you are wanting more friends, you might say: “I’m always in the right place at the right time to meet new and interesting friends.” You get the idea.
Now, what you do is you say the statement to yourself, in your mind, while feeling the truth of the statement. Have no doubt that you are allowing this thing to be attracted to you through the Law of Attraction. The first time you say the statement, emphasize EVERY word, and feel each word as a confirmation of the thing you are allowing. See each word in your mind. For example, if you use the statement for prosperity above, it might flash through your mind like this:
MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS
Feel the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the first word:
MONEY and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.
Again, feel deeply the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the second word:
Money AND abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.
Continuein this pattern until you emphasize each word of the affirmation in order. Finally, emphasize the whole sentence again. The whole sequence would look like this:
MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS!
MONEY and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money AND abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

At this point, relax and enjoy the fact that your mind is focused, your work is done, and your only job is to let the power of sleep do its work while you rest and receive. Look for evidence of the affirmation throughout the whole next day. You will see it. If you like the feeling of the statement, repeat it again for several nights. There is no need to do more than one statement a night. Just do it once and believe in the truth of it. If you have asked the Universe for something, and you feel like you have been doing well playing with Law of Attraction, you might be asking “so where is all my stuff?” If you have asked, your stuff exists. It just takes time for it to be seen in your daily life (at least to the point that YOU will admit it’s there!) But I am here to remind you that your “stuff” is peeking at you all the time. Let’s say, for example, that you are asking for more money and prosperity to show up in your experience. You asked (vibrationally) when you felt like you didn’t have enough money, and now you are relaxing and letting Law of Attraction line you up with your new fortune. You are doing well. It’s time to savor the abundance in your life.
As you move through the day, see how the Universe is lining you up with the essence of abundance and prosperity, and then savor and enjoy it. Perhaps you get a call from a friend to house sit, and then they also need you to run a few errands in their car as well. Notice that you are suddenly living in a nicer house than the one you rent, and that the car you are driving is much like the one you have imagined as your next car. It’s yours now! I know you might say, but the point is that it’s NOT mine. That IS the problem. And if you look at it that way, then I agree that you have a problem. When you see these things as reminders of what you DON’T have, you move away from your stuff. When you savor it as an added expansion in your present experience, you help allow your stuff to come to you.
What I am suggesting you do today is notice how the things you want are in your experience today already. You have friends when nice people chat with you in the grocery line, and you have beautiful things to appreciate in stores, even if you choose not to buy them right now. Your new car is suddenly everywhere you look, and your new relationship is just behind every smile you see in others. Savor these gifts of abundance and tell yourself that it’s all here right now. Law of Attraction is a fair and consistent law, and it works even when you aren’t aware of it. All you do is think and feel and act, and think and feel and act, and then observe the results you get in your life. The Law of Attraction tunes into your vibration, which is the sum total vibrational average of your thoughts, feelings, and actions over time. What your life is right now is a perfect reflection of your vibrational offering in the recent past. People wonder why they can experience something unpleasant even when they feel good in the moment, and this is because it is your average vibrational offering that creates your point of attraction, and this point of attraction is what Law of Attraction matches and magnifies in your experience.

So if you feel snarky most of the time, and you talk about things in terms of your disappointment with the present, it makes sense that Law of Attraction will line you up with more critical, cutting, snide, cranky, and irritable experiences for you to “enjoy,” even when you feel happy for a few moments at a time. The key to all of this is to turn the emotional corner and find a way to feel better more of the time.
Feeling better is the key, but changing your behavior is the goal. If your life is not thrilling you enough, you have to change the input that creates your point of attraction, and then Law of Attraction will also work for you in more pleasing ways. Here are a few tips for turning the emotional corner, and all of these ideas can make you think, act, and feel differently.
Exercise more.Take a walk, run in the woods, or get on a stationary bike. While you exercise, tell yourself: “I am opening to my greater health, and my body is very wise. I give myself love and health, and I receive love and health from the Universe.” Feel every cell in your body respond to your affirmations. You are turning the emotional corner.
Eat Better. No matter what you have been eating, change your diet a little. The phrase “you are what you eat” is a good rule of thumb, so if you want to feel differently, try eating differently. Do a juice fast, or a true fast. But a cook book and make some new meals that you haven’t made before. notice that the food makes you feel differently. You are turning the emotional corner.
Talk Less. That’s right. Talk less. If your point of attraction has you lining up with things you don’t like, you are probably in a habit of talking about things in a disconnected way. Talk less, and listen more. Even observe the way you talk to yourself in your own mind. Be kind to yourself, and love yourself more. Let whatever cognitive dissonance your have going melt into awareness of your perfect relationship to love and allowing. You are turning the emotional corner.
Practice Optimism. While you are talking less and observing your thoughts more, turn your thoughts into better-feeling, more positive statements. Make it a game, and enjoy the process. Fr example, if you are doing something and you are beating yourself up, do it a little less. If you say “I really suck at this,” notice, laugh to yourself, and think again. Say “do over” and tell yourself “now I may suck at this, but I am getting better and better with every try. Soon I will suck less at this.” minor change…big vibrational shift. You are turning the emotional corner.
Stop “should-ing” on yourself. Do you do things just because you “should?” Doing this can evolve into acting by default, and living out patterns of actions and thoughts that mess up your pint of attraction. Do everything because you choose to, and not because you feel you should do it. I would wager that at least 20% of the actions people choose are by default because they feel they are supposed to do it that way. Get your “should” together. You are turning the emotional corner.
See if doing all of this makes a difference to the way you feel. If it does, you are turning the emotional corner. When you think, feel and act differently then your life must change. I look forward to hearing about your successes. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP
There are times that I can’t relax because I am trying so hard to accomplish something. I get the feeling that if I just try a little harder, or focus a little more I will finally be done doing the thing I am doing. This can certainly be true when the thing is paying the bills, or painting a house, or doing the dishes. But what about when you assign that frame of mind to larger aspects of your life, like attaining enlightenment, perfecting your tennis game, or becoming wealthy and prosperous? In these cases we often assign our happiness to a future time when we will be “done” and can then “arrive” in some new place or mindset.
Have you ever heard yourself say: “I’ll be happy when I can pay these bills’” or a similar statement. When you do this, you use Law of Attraction to your disadvantage. Remember that the Law of Attraction only responds to your vibration and not your words. So saying “I will put off my happiness until later in the future when this thing happens” keeps the thing from happening, and keeps you in an unhappy place.
We are all eternal beings, and there is no “there” to get to. The best way to have everything you want right now is to enjoy everything you have right now. There is a perfection in our imperfection…our journey can’t be completed…because it never ends. So don’t wish for the better day to come. Instead, look for the evidence that makes THIS day your best day so far.
Find as many excuses as you can to love your journey right now. Be grateful for everything you have today. No matter what you are doing today, find the perfection in the process. If you love your NOW, you will start ushering in amazing new NOWS as your future becomes the present over and over again. You will no longer long for your work to be over so you can relax into your wellbeing, because you will already be relaxing into the best part…and the ONLY part we have access to…the present. For all of our Gratitude Planet community located outside of the United States who might not know it, today is Independence Day in the US. It’s a day to reflect on all the gifts we have, all the people that we appreciate, and the freedoms we enjoy in an open society. People are generally off work and are gathering with friends and family for a cookout and a local parade. It’s the perfect day to whip up some Gratitude and Thanks, and now is the perfect moment to let the horses run on a rampage of appreciation and gratitude.
Start with Thanks. Wherever you are right now, take two minutes and mentally list everything you can think of that you are thankful for. Your inner monologue may be something like “Thank you for the weather today, thank you for the air I am breathing, thank you for the clothes I am wearing, thank you for the eyes I use to see, thank you for my mind that helps me think, thank you for the …..” You get to decide what feels best to you.
Next take two minutes to be Grateful. It might go something like this: “I am grateful for my job (or job prospects), and I am grateful for my amazing living space that feels so good to be in, and I am grateful for my interactions with others, both in person and in cyberspace, and I am grateful for my coffee maker that creates a perfect morning drink for me, and I am grateful for…” Again, the words you choose are the right ones for you. Next move to Appreciation. Appreciation feels a little more connected than Gratitude, which is why you should move through Thanks, to Gratitude, and then to Appreciation.
So now, take two minutes and mentally list everything you appreciate. Don’t worry if you repeat some things that you have already said. Your inner monologue may be something like “I appreciate my spouse who loves me so much, and I appreciate my body and all its health and wisdom, and I appreciate my dog who always seems connected and free, and I appreciate Source Energy and its consistent flow of well-being into my experience, and I appreciate…”
If you do these three simple exercises, you will feel a shift in your vibration. You will move up the Vibrational Scale. Your cork will begin to float again…and you will definitely feel an expansion in the way you feel. You will be able to move into love and bliss. You will have done the inner work required to change your world for the better. You will be able to carry this vibration into your whole day. Everything in this world comes and goes, and we all have debts at some point in our lives that need to be paid back. When you owe someone something, you have a responsibility to settle the debt. This makes me think about an excellent movie called “Pay It Forward” that came out in 2000 starring Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt, and Haley Joel Osment. In this movie the idea of “paying forward” came into the mainstream. The idea is that if you do something for someone, instead of asking them to pay you back, you can ask them to pay it forward instead. What this means is that they would look for an opportunity to do the same good deed that you did, except to someone else. Your “payback” and good energy become the start of another good deed that, hopefully, expands and expands outward. This approach has some very nice benefits for you as a deliberate creator of your experience.
Remember that the Law of Attraction matches you up with more of whatever you presently have as measured by your thoughts, feelings, and actions. So to change your life in a real and meaningful way, you first need to change your thinking and actions, and also reach for the best feelings you have access to. When you care about how you feel, and when you take inspired action, your connection to Source Energy becomes stronger, and you start attracting happiness and joy into your experience more and more of the time. As a connected being you now have an ability to remain in the Vortex of connection, and also to magnify and expand that connection in every direction of your life. You can “give away” your happiness everywhere you go.
When you are connected to who you are and are feeling good, you will uplift others with whom you come into contact. Law of Attraction will line you up with people who are ready to feel better, and you will be of great value to their experience. On the other hand, when you are not connected and not in line with who you really are, you can only bring out the same in others. Law of Attraction will put you face-to-face with other people who are struggling just like you are, and you will not be able to uplift in as powerful a way.
It is much more fun to notice your thoughts, feelings, and actions and make the best of where you are. Reach for feelings of relief, and follow the best thoughts that come to you. Once you feel good, picture your love and joy radiating out in all directions toward everything in the Universe. Picture Law of Attraction working like mad by inspiring others like yourself to be in certain places at certain times, all being guided to cross your path today. Make an intention to uplift these people when you see them, not by doing anything in particular, but just by being a joyful, connected, and loving person. Let the magic of each moment unfold perfectly. If you intend to attract these people to you, they will appear in your experience today. Picture your happiness and connection as a gift that you receive from Source Energy, and then pay it forward…all day, every day! Source will refill your cup every time you ask it to, and then you will have something to give away to others. Try this today and see if it makes your day go better. When people talk about quitting smoking, they usually talk about “kicking the habit” of smoking. This is a good example of the misuse of the word “habit” because of the associated addiction to nicotine. The dictionary defines “habit” this way:

• informal an addictive practice, esp. one of taking drugs : a cocaine habit.
• Psychology an automatic reaction to a specific situation.
• general shape or mode of growth, esp. of a plant or a mineral : a shrub of spreading habit
We can see that having a habit or being “habitual” has a negative association according to the dictionary. If a behavior is hard to give up, it can turn into a “bad” habit. Addictions have been informally labeled as habits as well. Of course, we can have behaviors that are healthy and that promote wellness, such as exercising daily, or eating well. The main point here is that we all develop patterns of behavior that either serve us, or they don’t. Looking objectively at your habits can be a healthy exercise of awareness…so let’s look at this a little more today.
When you think something or do something, you send out a vibration to the Universe, and the Law of Attraction immediately matches the vibration and reinforces it. Another way to say this is that if you think a thought for a while, you starting thinking other similar thoughts. The easiest thoughts to think tend to match the ones you have already been thinking. If you do an action over and over, it becomes easier to keep doing it than it does to change the patterns of action. Law of Attraction reads your vibration and and determines where you are vibrationally, and then agrees and gives you more of the same. People, events, and circumstances reinforce your patterns of habit. The Universe does its best to keep you doing what ever you have been doing. It’s like an autopilot. You stay on course.
But what if you are tired of your direction? What if you are flying toward a mountain and you are on autopilot? You have two choices, really. You can change course or hit the mountain. If you decide to change course, and break a few habits of thinking, feeling, and acting, then you will need to put some deliberate energy toward making changes. If you decide to enjoy the ride until you hit the mountain, you will be provided with enough contrast to make you change after the impact. Notice that not changing is not an option here. You get to decide for yourself if you want your change little by little, or all at once.
I prefer to change little by little when I can. It’s hard at first, but it gets easier as you go. Decide to replace a thought today. Notice your thought about something, and tell yourself that you are changing the feeling of the thought. If you are irritated with the way your hair looks, decide to feel hopeful that you will be able to get it cut soon. Small change…big result over time. You can also move your body in new patterns as well. Do you sit to put your shoes on? Then stand today. It will feel awkward, but do it anyway. When is the last time you touched your toes? Touch them today. Just look for patterns of habitual thinking, feeling, and acting that you have taken for granted, and just make small changes. If you desire the changes, keep up the new behavior until Law of Attraction makes it easier for you to sustain it. A big habit may take 30 days to change, as long as you don’t keep repeating the old pattern as you go.
Think of all of this as presenting opportunities to change slowly. Be open to the idea of change, and above all, be willing to kick the habit of being habitual. Thank you so much… Be Well, Marie-GP
It’s Memorial Day in the United States, and I just love an extra day to just remember the things that I am grateful for. It makes me think of the song “Let There Be Peace On Earth” because of the message it contains: “Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.” It makes sense that we should be like the thing we want, because that’s how the Law of Attraction lines you up with things. Law of Attraction draws things to you by sensing your vibration and matching it with other thoughts, feelings, and experiences that are similar. And as we have been discussing in others posts on GP, giving your attention to something is all you have to do to start vibrating like it. You are what you think, and what you interact with and focus on becomes your point of attraction…meaning that the Universe is bringing you more and more of it constantly. The phrase “and let it begin with me” is very wise advice for deliberate creators because it puts the emphasis right where it belongs: on you!
When you want to attract something to you, you need to vibrate and become one with it first. In practical terms, if you want more money and prosperity, you must first begin to feel like you have more money and prosperity. If you want an intimate relationship with a new person, you have to feel like the person is already there. If you want peace for the Earth, you must first make peace with yourself and the people in your immediate vicinity.
Try this today: make a list of several words that you think best describe what you want to see in others, or in the world. Only you know the best words for you today, but some of these might include: honest people, caring friends, peaceful world, loving family, prosperous economy, thriving health, etc.. Choose one and decide that you are going to let this greater desire begin with YOU! Become quiet, breathe calmly and deeply, and “see” yourself having achieved this greater desire. Feel how you would feel if it were already yours to have. Imagine others interacting with you and commenting on this thing you now have, and how great you look and feel having achieved it. Project this feeling outward toward everything in the Universe. Expand into the knowing that you were able to align with these desires easily, and that you can do it again…easily…on any subject you choose. Give thanks and end the visualization with the knowledge that you have literally created a point of attraction that will create magic in your day. You are now ready to line up with evidence of your alignment through perfect timing, “chance” encounters, and new and exciting developments in all areas of your life. Stick to one or two desires for two to four weeks, and just enjoy the process of already having what you want to see in the world. Say to yourself, “Let there be _____ on Earth, and let it be me, breathe me, and live through me right now.” Try it and let us know how it worked for you. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP
There used to be a commercial for the company “Dunkin’ Donuts” where a guy would wake up at 3:00 A.M. and stumble around getting ready for work. All the while he looked half awake and repeated the phrase “It’s time to make the doughnuts.” It was his job to get up early, put everything into place, and make it easy for the customer to get a fresh, hot doughnut at 6:00 A.M. with their coffee. The commercial usually ended with the guy smiling at the customers and enjoying his work. It must have been an effective ad campaign because it ran for years…and I still remember it today. It makes me think about how we all have a job, but I’m not talking about the job you get paid for; I’m talking about the job we all have to notice how we are thinking, feeling, and what we are doing every day. It’s the job of harnessing the Law of Attraction to your advantage to allow your life to be more fulfilling, thrilling, and magical!
When people first learn (or remember) that thoughts create reality, they sometimes feel a burden to censor their thoughts, feelings, and actions. They become like the guy making the doughnuts and say, with a sarcastic and lethargic tone “it’s time to be happy. I have to stop thinking what I am thinking.” This IS a burden. It’s no fun to try to stop thinking and feeling a certain way, especially if you have been in a set pattern for a long time. It is much easier to take a deep breath and reach for the feeling of relief that comes through thinking a better thought. Hear the difference: stop a thought, or think another thought.
When you give your attention to anything, you become a match to it. Give enough attention to something over time, and the Law of Attraction will show you real-life manifested evidence of it in your own life. Giving your attention to stopping something also just makes you a match to it. So if you try to stop anyone from doing something, you add Universal energy to the system that sustains it, and you actually increase the “reality” of this unwanted thing in your world. Try to lose weight, and you will have a hard time; focus on your thin and healthy body, and you will attract the resources to make your thinness real. Law of Attraction is like the Law of Gravity in that it works fairly, consistently, and continuously. Law of Gravity doesn’t care what you drop, and it acts on every object of similar mass the same way. Law of Attraction doesn’t care what you focus on, and makes no value judgments either way. It’s only job is to bring you more of what you focus upon.
So what is YOUR job in all of this? It’s NOT to make the doughnuts. It’s not to feel a burden of needing to stop your thoughts. Your job is simply to notice how you feel. Your feelings will be a direct reflection of how your thoughts match your inner desires for a better and expanded life. (Read that again.) When you feel emotions like worry, blame, doubt, or fear, you are reacting to thoughts that you have been thinking recently. Turn your attention to the best thoughts you have access to. Notice how you feel. Do you feel better? Not good, just better? If so, keep shining the light of your attention in that direction. Feel better? Keep it up. Feel worse? Turn and refocus on another thought or topic. In time you will guide yourself toward thoughts that feel better without needing to stop your thoughts in any way. You will notice, too, that the thoughts you might have tried to stop have disappeared from your vibration completely. Your job, then, is to think and feel, and think and feel, and to reach for the thoughts that feel the best. That’s it! It’s time to do your job, but your job is easier than you think it is. Reading Gratitude Planet yesterday really inspired me. It helped me remember that giving and receiving are part of the natural order of life, and that to be in the flow means knowing how to give freely and also how to receive freely. If you block this Universal flow, you increase vibrations of lack, stagnation, illness, poverty, and the like. If you can learn to dance with the “in and out” pulsations of this natural energy, you increase your love, wellness, prosperity, expansion, joy, gratitude, and appreciation. Life gets better and better as you realize that the more you trust and give, the more you will receive…your cup can’t be emptied because the Universe fills it up in proportion to what you have freely given. You become prosperous through your generosity. Remember too that receiving is just as important to the flow. Accept the gifts that flow to you. To only give is just as ineffective as only receiving: an imbalance is created. Here are my ten tips for increasing your giving and receiving today. When cashing out at a store, if there is a “Take a penny, leave a penny” tray, do so, even if you aren’t paying with cash. If you have a penny in your pocket, donate it to the tray. Tell yourself “I always have plenty of money.”
When entering a building, offer to hold a door open for one or several people. Smile and nod and “play doorman” (or door person). Give the gift of service for 20 seconds. When someone opens a door for you, move right through and thank them. Tell yourself “I always have plenty of time to play with others.”
When meeting someone for the first time, or even someone you know well, give them an honest compliment right away. Maybe say “wow, I love your shoes,” or “you seem to be in a great mood today.” This giving costs nothing, but is completely valuable and appreciated. Tell yourself “I give compliments easily. I see the best in others.”
When eating out, tip more if you get amazing service. If your waiter or waitress is really fun and connected, and if you feel you got exceptional service, up your standard tip. If your default tip, regardless of service, is 15%, then give 20% or even 25% for amazing service. Tell yourself “I give and I receive freely. I have received amazing service, and I give back in joy right now. I have plenty of money.”
If you have a business, give yourself the gift of meditation and focus on the expansion of the business. See it growing and serving others in more and more powerful ways. Take time to be quiet with yourself and allow your vision to take hold in your vibration. Imagine it unfolding powerfully. Tell yourself “I give myself to this vision, and I expect to live it as soon as today.”
Create a fake ledger on your computer. Deposit fake money into it. Pretend it is real. Look on line for ways to spend it all. Let yourself enjoy deciding how you will spend it. What do you want? Enter your “purchases” in your ledger. Every day increase your deposit, and then spend it again. Donate as much as you want to to causes you believe in. Tell yourself “I can’t spend all this money fast enough. It just keeps coming back in greater and greater amounts.”
Buy a new CD that thrills your heart. If you hear an artist or musical group that makes you feel great when you hear a performance on the radio or on TV, support them by buying a CD of their music. Pay full price for it and feel great about helping them expand their audience. Tell yourself “I give freely to people who make my life better through their art.”
Give freely when you sense a need. If you are entering the grocery store and you see a hungry person outside, consider buying something to give them that they can eat immediately. They may ask you for money, which you can give them if you are inspired to do so, but choose something ready to eat that you know will nourish them. Tell yourself “I give to others in need. The Universe gives to me in my generosity and gratitude as well, always.”
When someone offers to help you with something, or to give you something, accept their offer gratefully. Yes, it can take longer to have someone “help you” do something, but if you accept the offer in joy and openness, you can keep your flow open on the receiving end. Tell yourself “I receive gifts into my life freely, joyously, and openly.”
Give gratitude and appreciation for what you have right now. Practice being content with the prosperity you are enjoying right now. Law of Attraction will bring you more abundance when it knows you already feel abundant and prosperous. Love where you are, and expect a lot more too. Tell yourself “I am abundant, prosperous, and completely in the allowing flow of the Universe. All is well in my life. I am open to the next expanding step.”
The rules of the Law of Attraction are quite easy to understand, but are perhaps more difficult to practice deliberately. Simply stated, you attract to you the things that match your vibration. Your life, then, unfolds perfectly based on what the Universe “hears” you asking for. You never stop asking, however. You ask with every thought, with every thing you observe, and with every interaction you have with everything. We are all perpetual askers. Another way to say this is that you ask for what you want by focusing on it, and you ask for what you don’t want by focusing on it. Both (wanted and unwanted) are drawn into your experience by your attention to them. It makes sense, then, to give your full attention to the things you want so that you can manifest the wanted things into your experience.
If you have been playing with these ideas, but are a little frustrated that things are not happening more quickly for you, you may be taking score too soon. Once you have asked for something, usually by living some contrast that clarifies what you do want…you need to change your focus slightly. If you keep thinking of yourself as someone who needs the new thing, you may be keeping yourself in a pattern where the Universe brings you more of the same. Universal Forces line you up with things that match the essence of where you are…but the Law of Attraction doesn’t care if you are experiencing something, or just living it in your imagination: it matches you up with more of where you think you are vibrationally. For example, if you ask for money because you don’t have much, the Universe “hears” you and lines you up with more money. But the vibration you need to align with to manifest it fully is “I have more money” and not “hey, where’s my money!” It’s an amazing Catch 22 here…you can’t have it until you feel you already have it…but as long as you don’t have it, it’s tricky to feel like you have it.
Here is something I suggest to get you through the doubt stages of manifestation. Once you have identified something you are asking for, be it prosperity, a new relationship, a better job, or whatever, relax and affirm that your “work” is completed. Visualize the essence of this thing in your mind, and see it already coming to you in full form and completion. Feel the complete thrill of having it already. See yourself enjoying it in as many ways as you can imagine. See yourself telling others how much fun you are having with the thing in your experience. Picture it, but more importantly feel and love the essence of it right now.
Once you have done this visualization (and do it as often as you can), start looking right away for evidence of it coming to you, and be grateful and appreciative for every sign you see. If you are looking for more money, pick up that penny in the street and tell yourself “see, I am prosperous and the Universe brings me unexpected income. This is just the tip of the ice burg for me.” Resist the temptation to say something like “just a penny? Universe, I never have enough. You didn’t HEAR me, did you?” If you look for the small clues, and affirm that they are attached to bigger and bigger clues that eventually usher in the full manifestation, you will rejoice in the smaller evidence as if it were the whole experience coming into your full awareness. The clues ARE there. Your wellbeing is assured. Let go, look for evidence of it, and appreciate the magic of the Law of Attraction. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP
As you may know, or are at least becoming aware, the Law of Attraction matches you up with more of what you already have. It’s job is just to magnify and expand your present thoughts, feelings, and actions to give you more. Because people think the same way day by day and out of habit, most of us get the same results over and over again even though we wish things would change. The thing that has to change is your pattern of thinking. Whatever your “default” reactions are to your life, you have the the ability to choose differently and change the vibrational patterns over time. One way to do this is to use Gratitude to your advantage. When you react to something and feel a negative feeling, you can always stop and look for something…anything…to be grateful about within the experience. If you miss your bus this morning, you can still be grateful for the next one coming soon, or the fact that the buses exist and save energy, or that you have a good reason to ride the bus in the first place. You don’t have to habitually think about what is wrong. Gratitude works because there are so many things to appreciate, but you have to be open to seeing them. It’s the “silver lining” in any experience that can increase your gratitude, and more gratitude will equal…more gratitude…as the Law of Attraction brings you more.
Prosperity works the same way. If you want more wellness, money, wealth, and health, then you have to start thinking, feeling, and acting like a well, healthy, rich and prosperous person first…BEFORE you have it. That’s the rub for most people. How do I do this without being delusional? It’s a risk you have to be willing to take. At first it feels like pretending, and then it feels more real, and then it becomes your reality. It’s that simple. Here are a few simple tips for becoming more prosperous:
Tip more. If you normally leave 10%, leave 15% today. If you always leave 20%, round up to 25%. As you do this, affirm that you have plenty of money and that you expect more to come as you give more of it away. Law of Attraction will hear “I have plenty of money.” It’s not much more than you would have left, but it breaks a cycle of thinking you have been in.
Read magazines about wealth. Pick up a copy of “Money” at your local news stand. What are people who have money saying about it? Wanna be like them? You have to think like them too. Read it knowing that you are one of the prosperous people that they publish this magazine for. Enjoy the feeling of having your wealth.
Give your time away. Receiving is also tied in directly with giving. Just as you can tip more, you can also give freely of your time. Your neighbor is hauling grocery’s into their house, and you can see that they could use a hand. You have the time to help. Give it away. It opens you to receive more. Plus, you feel better right away.
Walk and include things in your vibration. Take a long walk and let everything you see be part of your prosperity. Houses are yours, cars are yours, the sunset is yours…it is all part of your unfolding prosperity. Everything you observe that pleases you is already yours, and you can feel good about all of it…even of you can’t live in it or drive it yet. Feel how nice it is to see it right now. Enjoy it.
Don’t wait around for some outside force to change your thinking, because you may have to wait a long, long time. Instead, direct your thinking toward your desires. If you can love the thoughts, you can have more of them through Law of Attraction. Next thing you know, your reality will reflect your new thought patterns, and you will be living it in all aspects of your life. Try it today. Thanks for reading. Let me know if you liked this post! There are so many ways to enjoy this life, and joy, expansion, and freedom are what we all are wanting to experience. Don’t you agree? We want things…cars, relationships, health, wellness, prosperity…because we think that in having these things we will feel better. So our goal in creating deliberately using the Law of Attraction isn’t about getting stuff, but rather it’s about feeling better. It’s a catch 22 here. You can’t postpone feeling better, or Law of Attraction will line you up with more of the stuff you feel bad about. But if you choose to feel better before you get the stuff, then why do you really want the stuff? “Getting the stuff isn’t as thrilling when I already feel good about it today,” you might say. And this is the paradox of deliberate creation: your goal is not stuff, your goal is joy. And through your joy, you can, and will, have your stuff. It’s simple to understand, but more challenging to put into daily practice. Today is the perfect time to start, if you haven’t already been doing this.
A key to deliberate creation in your life is the word “allowing.” Allowing is a practice where you let go of the struggle and relax into your well-being. It is a state where you take your hand off the hot stove. It is a mind-frame where you turn and go with the current of the vibrational stream. It is the ability to expand into joy, and to maximize your connection to Source Energy. Allowing is the opposite of resisting, and I recommend you always focus on increasing something you want, rather than stopping something unwanted. So these tips are not about stopping resistance, but rather about increasing your allowing. Enjoy these ideas for upping your allowing, and then go out and enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP
Notice your breath. If there are any traces of inhibition of free flow, acknowledge it, and then allow these blocks to dissipate. Feel your breath flowing easily and fully in and out of your lungs. Be natural about it, and enjoy the feeling of letting it expand you in all directions. If you can, close your eyes while you do this.
Notice you body. Do you have any places where you hold tension? Is your neck pain-free? Are your hips, joints, and muscles limber and free to move naturally? Find one place to focus upon, and then imagine love and white light bathing the area. Flow your breath freely, and affirm that you are consciously allowing energy to flow freely in the area. Picture the area relaxing and expanding. See any pain melting into freedom. Give thanks and gratitude, and then feel for another area, if one exists.
Notice your thoughts. Do you have thoughts that hit an emotional dead end? Are there habits of thinking that don’t feel good while you think them? Do you worry about certain topics, or feel fear around certain ideas? If so, you can up your allowing by either redirecting your attention to another topic, or by making the best of the thought you are thinking while you are thinking it. Like your muscles, thoughts can cause pain. But if you notice the pain, and then imagine the thought evaporating…to be replaced with a better-feeling version…you will now have more freedom and joy in your thinking. Don’t push against the thought, or try “not to think” it. Just find a new thought, even if it feels “less real” at this point. “Reality” is merely the most practiced version of the “truth.” Let your vibrational “truth” reflect your desire to be connected, joyful, and happy.
Notice your giving and receiving. Are you giving and receiving in a balanced way? Too much of either can cause a painful imbalance in your vibration. If you feel a need to give, tip more, volunteer your time, or donate to a good cause that you believe in. Smile more, and give more compliments to others. If you feel a need to receive more, than take opportunities to receive with a sacred and grateful intention. This can be through receiving a massage, a letter, a compliment, or through receiving something with monetary value. Give thanks, and then allow the gift to fill you with gratitude. Affirm that you are worthy and open to receiving well-being. Allow this balance of energy to keep you grounded and focused.
Notice how much you love and appreciate. To be joyful and allowing, you must be connected to your loving source. What do you love? How do you express your love to others? Can you extend your full love inward toward yourself? Can you appreciate the world as it is, and can you find reasons to expand your love without needing to change others? When you can love everything, even when everything appears not to be loving you back, you have found the secret to loving. To get love, you have to be in love…with everything. If love is your vibrational focus, then the Law of Attraction MUST being you more of the same. Up your allowing by loving fully and completely, and then let the Universe expand you in your joy!
With Valentines Day coming this weekend, everyone is thinking, feeling, and talking about how the energy of love moves in and out of their life. I want to offer some loving statements for you to ponder. I am ready to let more love and joy into my life, and I know you probably feel the same. Here are my statements for love and Valentine’s Day!
Love flows to me, through me, and all around me always!
People love me always, even if they struggle to show it in ways I can see. I accept their love completely.
Love from Source Energy is never ending, all powerful, and only limited by my ability to relax and allow it. Therefore, I am in love always!
I love me. I may not always please me, or anyone for that matter, but I always love me.
My actions, thoughts, and feelings are in direct expression to my knowing that all is well, and that Love is why we are here. I live in love and joy!
My Inner Being loves me in every moment. I choose to think more and more like my Inner Being. I see and believe in the love flowing to me always!
I choose to share my loving connection with others. I love without condition, and I accept the reactions I get from this giving. It maters not how I am received…I give either way.
I relax, I allow, and I receive love from Planet Earth. I know that all systems are functioning to keep us alive, healthy, and thriving. I give gratitude and appreciation for the planet we travel through space upon, and I love it in all its aspects.
I love all the lovers I have ever had, and will ever have, both in this life, in past lives, and in future lives. Thank you for all the love, insights, connected moments, and deep expressions I have been blessed to share with you.
I came to a great realization recently. I realized that you can’t make a thought stop. If you try to stop thinking about something, you only think about it more. So I made a pledge to redirect my thinking instead. Here are three times I did this during this past week:
My mother called. I was in a rush. I felt mad that she caught me at a bad time. I seemed irritated, and she could tell. I could tell. Then, I decided to think about how much she means to me. I redirected and thought about what a gift it is that she is still alive and aware of her surroundings. I thought about how lucky I am to have her. I felt better. I felt grateful. The conversation went better. I was on time after all to where I was going.
I was on hold with the phone company trying to sort out a charge on my monthly bill. I held for a while, got a nice person, had it almost resolved when…the call was dropped, and I couldn’t call the agent back. (Irony abounds, eh?) I had to go through the whole process AGAIN! I was ready to take it out on the next person (who didn’t know me or my story at all), but instead, I redirected my thoughts. I “made up” a story about this person, and it went something like this: This person loves their job. They will enjoy helping me. They didn’t cause the dropped call. They will be able to solve this easily. I will enjoy interacting with this agent. And that is EXACTLY what happened. No dropped call either.
I was driving to work and found myself in bumper-to-bumper traffic. “EEEEK!” I knew i would be really late at the rate the traffic was moving. “Damn it,” I thought. “This sucks! Why ME?” Then I redirected. I told THIS story: Maybe this delay is setting me up to run into events and circumstances that will help me today. Maybe I avoided an accident myself by slowing here. I will be in perfect timing today. I can’t be late, because I am perfectly aligned with people and events. This is just part of the perfection. In the five minutes that I redirected my thoughts, the traffic started moving and I was on my way..and NOT late for work. Gratitude and appreciation flowed.
OK, you might say, thinking didn’t change those circumstances. You just felt better in those circumstances. And I say, look, Law of Attraction either is real, or it isn’t. If it’s real, then how I feel matters a lot! If it isn’t real, I just got lucky. I can’t prove it to you, but you can prove it to yourself. Try redirecting and see if you have fewer bad endings and more good endings to your daily segments. I swear that when I redirect, things work out almost every time. There are many times when we feel “right” about an issue or topic, and we may feel a need to get others to agree with us about it. But haven’t you noticed that convincing another person to agree with you on something can, at times, be a difficult task. I have come to a point where I like to listen to others express their point of view, and I am honored when they are interested in hearing mine. I have come to accept that we are all different and that we will always have our own unique perception of the world, our place in it, and our goals as human beings. In fact, it is the variety and diversity that keeps the Universe expanding, and it’s what makes being here so exciting and worthwhile. Having agreement on a topic with others can feel really good too, especially when it births new ideas and creative angles to the issue at hand: thought is taken beyond that which it has been before…very cool.
But although it is wise to abandon worry about what others think about your ideas and opinions, it is in your very best interest to get Source Energy to agree with them. But Source is not a person, so how does that work, you ask? Source Energy is a never-ending stream of pure positive energy that can’t be stopped…only resisted. The part of you that exists in pure positive energy is the larger part of who you are. You are a spiritual being having a human experience. So when I refer to Source, I am really referring to YOU as you exist right now in pure positive energy. This larger part of you is communicating with you constantly through your dreams, intuitions, and inspirations. So what you really need to do is get your larger, Source energy-focused part of you to agree with your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Or do you?
Is all YOU, so this seems weird…but instead of trying to get your Source self to agree with you, you are WAY better off getting yourself to agree with Source’s opinion of you. If you have read some of the other GP posts about contrast, and how contrast helps your greater self expand and grow, you know that your Source self has already literally become everything you have wanted to be up to this point. That’s right…everything you have imagined for yourself that you can say right now that you want and have asked for has already manifested for the part of you that is Source Energy. It is the literal expanded version of YOU. That being said, you are best off trying to be in vibrational harmony with your expanded self so that you can allow it all to manifest on planet Earth through the Law of Attraction. But how do you know what Source thinks about you? How can you align with the views and opinions of Source Energy? Here are some of the things we KNOW about Source Energy:
Source Energy loves you.
Source Energy knows you are precious.
Source Energy knows you are worthy.
Source Energy sees you as the perfect expression of “youness.”
Source Energy appreciates everything you are, everything you do, and everything you desire.
Source Energy knows that you are in the perfect place, at the perfect time.
Source Energy guides you to be the best you can be.
Source Energy sees the best in others.
Source Energy never puts you or anyone else down.
Source Energy feeds your intuition and inspiration and urges you toward what it has already become.
Source Energy doesn’t doubt you EVER, and uplifts your unique journey.
The list could go on for a very long time. If you don’t agree with Source, or if Source doesn’t agree with you…you will know right away because you will feel bad. But if, on the other hand, you and your Source are of one mind, you will feel joy, inspiration, love, gratitude, appreciation, and many other very connected feelings. When you live in the vibration of Source, you are, as Abraham-Hicks calls it…in the Vortex. The Vortex is the place where you and your Source are in vibrational alignment, and it is the place where all the magic of the Law of Attraction can manifest. Another way to say this is that when YOU and your larger YOU agree through your thoughts, feelings, and actions, you MUST become, right now, the best manifested version of YOU so far. (You know the YOU with great health, money, the relationship, the toys…or whatever you have allowed your Source to become through your vibrational asking.) No one may ever agree with you, but it is your number one job for YOU to agree with your Source! Let that be your goal today, to feel more and more agreement with your Source. Notice how you feel, and may you have a joyous, blissful, connected, loving and most amazing day! Chris-GP
Back in December I wrote a post called “Why Wait? Live It Now!” If you haven’t read this post, you can read it first by clicking HERE. You might remember that I referred to something called “an allowing manifesto” that my wife and I made when we were creating our new beach-front living space. Today I will explain just what this is, and how you can use this tool to help you allow and enjoy the life you want and deserve. We use the term “Manifesto” because we like the feeling of declaring our intentions clearly and publicly to give us even more focus and belief. Here is what the word means in the strictest sense:

We call our document “An Allowing Manifesto” because is doesn’t represent a list of things to accomplish, but rather a list of manifestations that we expect to welcome in to our experience. It’s not a “To Do” list at all, and knowing this will help you ask for what you really want. Remember that when you understand and work with the Law of Attraction, the rules of getting things done are slightly different than what you may have done in the past. With Law of Attraction you allow your wellbeing in, and you look for the things you are wanting to see. You do your best to appreciate the new condition is if it were already here in your present moment. You let the Universe work for YOU, managing all the minutia in magical ways that you could never stay on top of with just your personal human effort and attention.
This Allowing Manifesto is kind of like a Vision Board (for more on this you can search for Gratitude Planet posts about Vision Boards in the “search” function in the tool bar). Both are creations that you make using words and images. Both help create a feeling and vibration of the new condition. Both help you clarify your Universal asking by making you choose the details and feeling-tones of the desires. But an Allowing Manifesto is more about the words than the images, probably as much as a Vision Board is more about the images than it is about the words. Here is how you would go about making your own manifesto:
Alone or with someone you are co-creating with (wife, husband, S.O., business partner, etc.) have a discussion about what you would like to create and allow in one year’s time. Don’t be limited by what you think you can do by your action alone. Be open to asking for anything that feels good, and for anything that you feel would increase your daily joy. You may find this list easy or difficult to create, but stay with it until you have a list of things that you are feeling good about. Only you know what this list should be, but for a jump start consider better health, more prosperity, more friends, better focus and clarity, a romantic relationship, a new job, a new car, growth in your business, a career change, or anything you can connect with emotionally.
Get a piece of paper, or open up a word processing or drawing document, and put the following at the top: “Next Logical Step: An Allowing Manifesto, January 24, 2010“ We use the words coined from Abraham-Hicks “the next logical step” because we want this to feel easy, natural, and in perfect timing. In other words, the intention is for the new condition to seep into your awareness throughout the year so that it doesn’t feel like a wave crashing in, but rather like a slow fade to a new and more thrilling color wash on a theater stage.
Next write or type: “We (or I) set the intention to allow and manifest the following into our (my) experience by January 24, 2011:” You don’t have to use the one year time frame. We choose it because it feels right to us, but you can decide for yourself if six months, eighteen months, or two months feels best. We have done three Allowing Manifestos so far, and the first one was completely manifested in seven months, and the second one is almost complete in thirteen. The newest one is 24 days old and is already well on the way to manifesting. The vibration around the asking will guide you to set the proper time frame for you.
Next, write the number “1“ and make a heading of the first thing you will allow. In our ’07 Manifesto, we set out to allow a new ocean-front living space. Because we live in Southern California, it didn’t feel right at the time to ask that we would actually own it, but we also didn’t want to limit ourselves by saying we would necessarily rent it either. So we just called it “1. An ability to afford an ocean-view living space, including:”
Once you have your first heading, make a list of specific things that you intend to manifest. If it is a new romantic relationship, describe what he/she might look like, the hobbies they might have, or the way they smile when they look at you. If it is a new car you are wanting, describe what color it will be, as well as the make and model if you know it already. Our detailed list looked like this:
A. at least 2-bed, 2-bath
B. two secure parking spaces
C. the real sound of the real ocean
D. bright, sunny and open, yet private
E. ocean breeze with large windows and doors facing the ocean
F. easy commute to places of employment
G. ample storage
H. at least 1,000 square feet of living space with a kitchen that is a joy to prepare food in.
I. easy access to the friendly walking-swimming beach
J. nice place to sit outside, grill, and entertain
K. walking distance to shops and restaurants and entertainment
L. quiet street and friendly neighbors/neighborhood
M. dog-friendly community
N. perfect timing and ease finding and securing the living space
O. pet-safe balcony that you can see through
P. hardwood or tiled floors that are easy to keep clean
Q. gas fireplace that works
Next, write the number “2“ and make a heading of the second thing you will allow. For us, we set an intention to create more income so that we could afford the increase in rent that allowing number 1 would entail. You can word it any way you want. We decided to use these words: “2. Additional income totaling $25,000 (gross) from sources TBA. It will feel like the following:“ Here’s a big tip with working with the Law of Attraction. We didn’t specify how the money would come, but instead how it would feel as the money came. Here is what we put under number two:
A. easy to manage
B. effortless and inspiring in the
energy leading up to the
manifestation
C. activities that draw us forward
D. a journey of joy
E. activities that help people
F. easy to attract people with connections and expertise who can help us, and be part of the unfolding
Next find a few images that support the allowing vibration of the Allowing Manifesto. You may need to search a while to find these, or you may know immediately what you want the images to be. Paste these onto or into your document, and sit with it for a while. Does it feel good to look at? Are you ready to open your life to these new things? Are you thrilled by what you have asked for? Can you feel the excitement behind the fact that this is all coming to you right now? Love it, and feel the joy behind it.
Next, put it in a place where you will see and read it on a regular basis. We use the fridge, or the bathroom mirror. I like having an electronic version on my computer so that I can print out copies of it in various sizes. I will put copies in the medicine cabinet, on the dashboard of my truck, on a cork board above my desk at work, and even as a screen saver on my laptop if I choose to use it there. The point is to revisit it and enjoy the fun of including these things into your thinking every day. If you live with these images and intentions in joy every day, when they begin to manifest in small ways you will smile and say “I saw that coming. Yippee! It’s all on the way!”
Don’t be afraid to tell people who are close to you about the things you are creating in your life. We would say “We are excited that by next year we will be living on the ocean.” Friends would say, “Oh really…where?” We would counter “Oh, none of those details are known yet. But it’s all coming, and we are so excited about it. Law of Attraction of working on it as we speak.” If you don’t have friends who are ready to hear you talk about it like that, visualize yourself doing it to friends you will meet. It can be just as powerful to imagine it in terms of how Law of Attraction works.
That’s it! An Allowing Manifesto forces you to be specific, set a time frame, and spend time with your own joyful desires on a regular basis. I just love the Law of Attraction, and I love knowing that what I give my attention to is magnified and manifested over time. I know that what I see, and the experiences I find in my NOW today are a perfect match to what I have been attracting through my vibration. I like paying attention to how I feel and adjusting as the day goes on. I also like the idea that Chris wrote about yesterday, because if there is only inclusion, and things can’t “get me” that I don’t invite in, then I really am in control of my experience. This feels good.
But with the oh-so-good- feeling of ultimate control in my life comes the responsibility to guide my experience. I can’t simply look to others to tell me what to do, because they can’t feel what I am feeling. They haven’t walked in my vibrational shoes, and they can’t possibly be feeling my guidance as strongly as I can. (Actually, I don’t think they can feel MY guidance at all…only their own!) Each person must be their own vibrational compass on the churning seas of their own personal reality. This is probably why some people resist ideas like the Law of Attraction…it’s seems less complicated to just “follow the rules” of parents, teachers, or social institutions who are more than willing to tell you how you should behave. I get it, and it is a responsibility I gladly take on…with joy and bliss, and purpose!
OK, so I have this charge to guide my experience, and I know that I can be, do, or have anything that I can achieve vibrational harmony with. As I said, I have fun observing what I am getting and then adjusting…but how do I more carefully and consciously create a specific experience, with obvious manifestations that I can recognize when they arrive? I have struggled with this in the past, because when I get to the point of deliberate focus, I’m not always sure what I should ask for! I have friends who can blurt out the things they want, no thinking at all, just here’s my list. Jealous. I know that contrast creates desire, and I don’t really need to worry too much about all of this. When I experience contrast it helps me ask for something else, and then the “asking” is done. But I am ready to move into a new level of asking…deliberate, focused asking.
Here is one method I used for finding out what I want. I asked myself if I am keeping myself from wanting because I don’t really believe I am allowed to ask for certain things. What I mean is, I might really want a new car, but I might be afraid to want it too much because I might not believe that I can afford it. So my belief in not having the money to buy a car could be keeping me from asking for it. OK, so I got a piece of paper and wrote “Money is no object for me. What do I want?” I had to be willing to let the first sentence sink in, because I could feel myself resisting the outlandish concept that money didn’t play into the equation. But once I let the money block go, my imagination began to take wings. This process uncovered other blocks to my brainstorming that I wasn’t even aware of. As I shed each limiting belief, at least for the exercise, I found no end to the things I was willing to draw to me…things that felt great to me while thinking about them.
What keeps you from asking for what you want? Do you have the “I don’t know what I want” block too sometimes? Remove your “ya, but” thinking and just put it on vacation today. See what comes up. You can have anything, be anything, and do anything that you achieve vibrational harmony with. Vibrational harmony is achieved when you move into hope, optimism, expectation and belief on the subject. I found this game thrilling for me, and I play it as often as I can. You surely remember the old saying “It is better to give than it is to receive.” I heard that phrase very early in my life, and I have always been interested in giving to others when I can. I think we all occasionally struggle with how much giving and receiving we should do, and at times I have been better at one or the other while trying to balance both. Back in October there was a GP post about giving and receiving, and I want to expand on that post a bit today. Another GP post in October by Hannya also related a great giving-receiving story. You may want to read (or re-read) these before digesting today’s topic if you have the time.
When you give freely, and when you feel good about your giving, you set up an expectation within your vibration that Law of Attraction matches: you feel worthy and ready to receive. When you understand this give-and-take of energy and see it play out a few times, it can be tempting to work to give a lot so that you can be worthy to receive a lot. The problem with this approach is twofold. First, you are already worthy to receive, and your worthiness is never in question. You can feel more worthy or less worthy, but you ARE worthy. Secondly, receiving (or allowing) Source Energy and wellbeing is natural and not dependent, necessarily, on how much you give. You don’t give to earn your right to receive, and no one keeps score in some far-away vibrational database. The energies of giving and receiving are intertwined, but not in a “weight and balances” type of equation. But there does seem to be, in my experience, a direct benefit to giving and receiving freely as the opportunities arise. The key is not to give to make something happen, but rather to give because it feels good to give. Law of Attraction works its best magic when you feel good…so timing your giving can be important. Feel good first, and then feel better through your giving.
When I take my morning walks along the beach, I usually visit a coffee shop about three miles into the walk. It’s a Starbucks in a grocery store, and sometimes there are some very needy people near the store. Occasionally they will ask for change, but other times they just keep to themselves. This situation represents a great opportunity to see how I feel in the moment about giving. If I feel resistance to giving money, I don’t. If I feel open and connected, I do. On several occasions I started my walk and decided that I would buy some food at the grocery and give it away to the first hungry person I encountered. On each occasion, I couldn’t find anyone to give it too, and one of those times, I swear, the guy vanished. I realized that I was trying to do something that was not a natural unfolding, and I felt worse walking home with the food in my arms. Now I wait to see what opportunities the day brings to give and receive, and I move ahead when I am inspired, knowing that I will be in the right place at the right time always.
Finally, giving is not just about money and food. Giving freely can include giving compliments, smiling, holding a door open for someone, noticing a kind gesture, leaving an uplifting note, singing a song, answering an email, and a million other possibilities. Receiving freely might include being grateful and appreciative for compliments, smiles, doors held open for you, kind gestures, uplifting notes, songs you hear, emails you receive, and a million other possibilities. Giving and receiving are ways you live, not things you do. Expand your vibration to give and receive freely and often today, and enjoy how great you will feel all day. Enjoy this most amazing day! Sometimes we look around at other people and we get the feeling that we should be experiencing our world in the same way that they are. This is the classic “keeping up with the Joneses” syndrome where you never feel like your life is as good as someone else’s life. Because Law of Attraction gives you more of what ever you focus upon, is it not to your advantage to look at anyone this way, because you can’t help but feel bad comparing the two experiences. A lot of stress and disconnection is created by people who strive to keep up with everyone else. The truth is, you can’t keep up with anyone else when it comes to creating your own reality and attracting joy into your life. What you think you see others experiencing in their own lives is simply a manifestation of what they have attracted and allowed. YOU are doing the same, and you are receiving based on your personal vibrational alignment with who you have become. When you strive to be in alignment with a vibration you have not expanded into, only frustration and disconnection can be your experience.
Not keeping up with others is a good idea. Not keeping up with yourself is a bad idea. Every time you experience contrast in your life, you know what you don’t want, and you define more clearly what you DO want. When you define what you DO want, your vibrational self takes on an expansion that equals the degree of the asking. In other words, if you get really, really sick, vibrationally you become very, very healthy. At this point you are not going to feel good at all, because there are literally TWO yous: the sick one and the healthy one. These two vibrations do not match, and your emotional guidance system will tell you that there is discord in your vibration with yourself. You will feel like crap. The only real choice you have, if you want to be a joyful and expanding human on planet Earth, is to keep up with yourself, and give your full attention to becoming a vibrational match to your healthy self. You can’t undo what you have become, by the way. You either align with it, or you feel bad. Simple. Change (for the better) or suffer where you are until you are so unhappy that you are pushed to change somehow. Why not save yourself the struggle and give your full attention to matching your own vibrational expansion?
So in summary, you can never align with someone else’s vibrational expansion, because it isn’t yours. Don’t bother keeping up with what others have created. Instead, pay close attention to who you have become, and stand ready to be like the latest and greatest version of YOU! Just by living and experiencing life you have helped create the very best edition of who you can possibly be right now. Relax, make peace with where you are, and notice how you feel. Happy New Year Everyone! I was doing my yoga routine this morning and came to a new understanding of how allowing works. Remember that the Law of Attraction (LOA) works in a three step process: You Ask (automatic), Source Answers (not your work), and You Align With The New Vibration (your work, and only your work, and your only work!). I talked about this in a recent post. You can read that post by clicking HERE if you like. I added a step to the three-step process ’cause I think people need to relax more and let themselves feel good while doing this. These were my “new” steps to make Law of Attraction work for you:

1B. Make Peace With Where You Are, Who You Are, And What You Have. (your business)
2. Source Answers (not your work)
3. You Align With The New Vibration (your work, and only your work, and your only work!)
Yet today, I had a new insight. You can do this even sitting at your computer. I was doing yoga, and I went into a pose and was holding it. Sometimes I go really deep into the pose, and sometimes I go in just enough to notice a little resistance in my muscles. When I go really deep, it can really hurt. If I go in just a bit, it is more of a dull sensation, and not really painful. Now, I decided today to just go into a stretch only enough that I noticed a little amount of resistance or sensation. As I noticed the resistance (step ONE A), I stayed there and changed my focus to my breathing and away from the resistance (step ONE B) and then affirmed that Source Energy had created a new me that had no pain in this stretch (step TWO), and then I noticed the resistance disappear! (step THREE). So in little more than 20 seconds I went from feeling resistance, relaxing and making peace with me, and allowing the new me without the resistance. Yoga actually means “union” and is a practice for going in and understanding yourself and the Universe better. It is supposed to be a path to wellbeing and expansion. Now I get it! And it’s not about stretching farther than I can. It’s about going to my edge and expanding with joy where I am. WOW!
If you have things in your life that you can’t figure out how to allow, why not practice allowing smaller things, and then work on up to the bigger things? This stretching/yoga (I’ll call it a meditation) technique gives you almost instant gratification, and works on exactly the same laws that create and allow more friends, cars, relationships, prosperity, ocean-front homes, and the like. This holiday season will provide many opportunities for so many things. Many will gather with friends and family to toast to the New Year, and gift giving and cheer have been the order of the day recently. No matter what religious faith you may or may not align with, it has been a good time to change your normal pace and refocus your thinking. Sitting in church on Christmas eve, I was thinking about the many meanings of the Christmas season. There is a sacred Christmas, referring to the “Christ Mass” and birth of Jesus, and the secular Christmas with Santa, JC Penny, and Toys R Us. And for sure, Christmas can be sacred or secular, or a combination of both, or just a time to have fun in the winter months with friends and family…it is whatever you want it to be. At the very least I would hope that the stress of preparing for Christmas has given way to the joy of the holiday season, and that you can take a deep breath and reflect on all things you are grateful for. That is one of my goals for this most amazing day.
For years I wondered about how much Christmas was supposed to be secular or sacred for me. If it was just about buying presents and attending parties, then it was no different than other holidays like Thanksgiving or Labor day. It was just time off with friends. And if it was supposed to be completely sacred, then I felt pressure to focus all my attention on a 2,000-year-old event with little relevance for my present condition. Neither one seemed to work 100% for me. But once I discovered and understood the Law of Attraction, I was able to reconcile these questions in my own mind.
Christmas is secular, and can be enjoyed for the opportunities it brings to connect with others, be grateful and appreciative, and to give freely with a feeling of abundance. It is about giving, but it is also about receiving. If you give freely, Law of Attraction lines you up to receive freely, and your abundance flows. If the secular Christmas is only about opening yourself to give and receive freely, it is important and unique enough a holiday to appreciate with great enthusiasm. But what about the sacred side of Christmas? Jesus was born over 2,000 years ago, and taught in parables that were meant for the mind-set of people of the day. They were heard and remembered by people who lived at the time, written down by others, and translated many, many times throughout the ages. What message in the Christmas story can I celebrate and understand, and also make relevant to my present experience?
Jesus was an amazing man who had so much to teach us. His birth represents a new beginning in the thinking of humankind. He did incredible things, and said that we can do these same things, and even greater things. He came to teach us of our connection to God (which I refer to as Source Energy). He came to “save” us from limited thinking, and to encourage us to love one and other as ourselves. The birth of Christ can inspire us to rebirth our own sacred connection to Source Energy, and to remember that we have a personal, unwavering connection to all that is good. Taking conscious notice of this connection is the sacred message of Christmas for me, and I rejoice in this fact! I am constantly being created anew, and I take this season to align with my connection in a stronger and more good-feeling way. I allow the birth of Christ to be my own rebirth, and I am open to allowing these gifts into my life today. I will leave you today with words from a Christmas card that my wife and I keep as a reference to the true meaning of Christmas. May you enjoy this most amazing day of rebirth. Chris-GP
