To be grateful means that you are appreciative of the circumstances in your experience. It means that you give thanks for gifts in your life, and that you approve of your present moment in very specific ways. Being grateful is a key step to setting yourself free from whatever bondage you find yourself in. Most people live within their self-imposed limits in terms of what they think, how they feel, and the actions that they let themselves take. Remember that the Law of Attraction brings you more of what you give your attention to. Practicing an Attitude of Gratitude helps you relax into the flow of your life by letting go of your self-imposed resistance by using a habit of positive thinking. Through your gratitude and appreciation, you see evidence in your experience of things working out for you. You feel the pride of good news in your life. You take action in a secure knowing that things can go your way, and probably will work out for you in a positive way. As you practice and perfect your ability to be grateful for both big and small gifts in your life, you will be able to let go of worry more often, and you will be more open to receiving the full connection of Source Energy into your experience. Through your connection to Source, you will find true freedom. You will feel that anything is possible for you, and that your past limitations were entirely self-imposed through your past perceptions. Start listing what you are grateful for each day, and keep adding to the list. If it is hard to think of many things, keep trying. The more you do it, the easier it gets. In gratitude there is freedom, and in freedom you will certainly feel even more gratitude. Be Well! Marie-GP

Reading Chris’ post on the Emotional Scale made me think all day about how important paying attention to how you feel really is. I spent the day brainstorming tips that I hope help people use this tool even more effectively. Here they are:
- If you feel good, just ride it and enjoy what you are doing.
- When you first feel yourself becoming irritated, or whatever, just take a few deep breaths and see if it will melt back into a better feeling.
- If a few breaths don’t do the trick, make a few statements about how you feel in terms of the emotional scale. Say, for example, “I feel frustrated right now.” (If that feels right) Take a glance at the scale, and see what a higher vibration is above it, and reach for it with another statement like “I doubt that this stuff really works.” (Pessimism)
- Notice the relief it brings. Don’t expect to feel good…only the relief of feeling just a little better.
- Now ask yourself, what other statements can I find that feel true? Maybe “I’m tired of doing the same thing over and over again” is the best you can do. OK…that’s boredom! You have moved up again.
- Don’t worry if the thought you find feels worse, and you move down the scale. You can always begin again and reach for another better-feeling one.
- As Chris said, the words don’t matter. Only the feeling matters, so if it feels better, no matter what you call it, it is moving you up.
- Don’t let others tell you how you should feel. If you move from revenge to anger, and some person gets upset at your anger (and tells you to be “happy”)…please don’t use that as an excuse to go back to revenge. Tell them “my anger is a pit stop, not a rest stop!”
- Give yourself the OK to experiment. No one can feel for you. Only you know how your feelings feel. Be easy about your relationship to you. You are lovable…and loved!
- Your Source (Inner Being) loves you, and is constantly calling you up the Emotional Scale. There is energy and momentum built in to get you there. You just have to point your thoughts there, and it will be easier than you think. I guess 17 seconds of reaching is all you need on any level of the scale to get a feeling of relief.

A few days ago, I was conversing with a friend after church about what his plans were for the rest of the day. The conversation went something like this:
Me: “So, what do you have planned for the rest of the day?”
Friend: “Oh, I’m going to go and watch my granddaughter’s soft ball team play.”
Me: “That sounds like fun! How old are they?”
Friend: “They’re between seven and nine years of age.”
Me: “Are they a good team?”
Friend: “Not really. They are at the bottom of their league!”
Me: “Ouch! That must not be good for morale.”
Friend: “Actually, they don’t care. They aren’t there to win any big awards, or be the best in the league. They are there to have a good time and enjoy each other’s company. Winning or losing doesn’t even cross their minds!”
I had an immediate thought at this point. Why can’t life be this way? Why can’t we NOT worry about having everything “work out” and just have fun with each other, and let the Universe take care of us? So I decided to give it a try. Instead of worrying about my relationships, and where they were going, I let go of that and just had fun with them. In place of working to get approval from my colleagues, I accepted that they already approved of me, and made our work together a thing of play. I relaxed, and trusted that Law of Attraction was lining me up with the vibration of what I wanted. Guess what happened? All of my relationships have taken a positive step forward. In fact, one of my friends remarked to me about the positive “change” he has seen in me this week. The work that my colleagues and I were doing seemed to just fly by as if guided by an invisible genie. Seemingly impossible situations magically worked themselves out all by themselves, without my having to invest any energy at all. I didn’t worry at all about how good I was, how effective I was, or even if I was getting these Law of Attraction principles down correctly or not. I simply realized that it is a wonderfully automatic system that works to perfection every time. We need not worry about being finished with the process, because WE are a never-finished process. We are eternal beings. There is always something wonderful and new to learn, and we can learn everything in our own perfect time. We don’t ever have to worry about winning, because we have already won. We already have the prize. All we need to do is to enjoy our process…enjoy all of it…the people, places and things in our lives, and just have fun. Enjoy the prize! -Lee

No too long ago I read a book by Macolm Gladwell called “Blink.” This book examines the information we receive in the first two seconds we meet someone, see something, interact with something, or experience something new. He talks about how we receive every relevant aspect of information that we need to know about a situation in two seconds or less, or in the time it takes to blink. While Gladwell doesn’t like the term “intuition” and consciously avoids the term in his book, I like the term and I think his ideas can absolutely be linked to a discussion of intuition. The dictionary defines intuition this way:

the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning : we shall allow our intuition to guide us.
• a thing that one knows or considers likely from instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning : your insights and intuitions as a native speaker are positively sought.
Intuition is the path through which information can be received without excessive interference by the Ego. Have you ever noticed that if you think too much about anything, you can either talk yourself into or out of doing it? In the process of thinking too much, you may doubt your decision and start avoiding making any decision at all? Likewise, how many times have you been struck in the moment by a feeling that feels absolutely right…and a desire to move ahead in full connection? I think that everything we need to know IS there for us to discover in the exact moment we need it. I believe that intuition is always present to guide us through the day. If we choose to hear it and act upon it, I think we have an opportunity to live a connected, magical and spontaneous life.
The Law of Attraction is connected to intuition, of course. When you ask through your constant vibration of living, the Universe lines you up with people and events that match your present point of attraction. But the Law of Attraction is also gently nudging you toward more and more fulfillment too, and is helping you move toward the things you want. For example, if you are asking for more peace and quiet, and you are traveling by plane, you will encounter (potentially) things that are not peaceful nor quiet in your day. However, if you have been relaxing and allowing yourself to be centered, and if you are willing to listen to your intuition, magic is possible. You may be walking through the terminal and your intuition tells you to take a certain route to the gate…you listen and take the route…and you experience a nice, peaceful walk to the gate. Little did you know that there was a person arguing with their friend along the other route that you didn’t take, and that experience was not part of your experience because of your decision to follow your intuition in the first second you heard it. You may have an intuition to change your seat at check in (or not to change it) and then find yourself surrounded by quiet, pleasant people, rather than unhappy people or loud crying infants. Trusting your intuition can be a challenge, but the more you do it, the better you get at it. Get “In To” your life with a closer walk with your own intuition. Play with it and see how it works for you. Be easy about it and enjoy the gifts you will be led toward…and be sure to notice the wonderful gifts you are given. The Chinese philosopher Confucius (551-479 BCE) is often attributed the quote “Choose a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” There is so much wisdom in this saying, and it seems to be a major component of living a happy life with purpose. When you love your job, every day is a day filled with growth and expansion. You are able to commit yourself to being present because you don’t have the distraction of wishing you were somewhere else, or wishing away the time while you feel bored and unengaged. There are few (if any) jobs that don’t have some aspect of “have to’s” associated with them. But I know that loving your job spills over into everything else you do, and the happiest people I know seem to have fulfilling and meaningful work that they like to one degree of another.
But what about if you don’t love your job, or what if you really dislike your job? You have two choices. You can use this feeling of unhappiness to launch a new desire for a better job, and then you can be ready to act when the time for inspired action arrives. Or you can just complain, tell a sad story to anyone who will listen, and whip up an amazingly disconnected feeling every time you think of your work. Obviously only the first choice is the productive choice. But it can be difficult to see something positive inside something you have whipped up to a negative feeling/vibration. Remember that the Law of Attraction can only bring you more of what you have, so it is never in your best interest to perpetuate a story that feels bad. Instead, you have to tell a different story to anyone who will listen. You have to look for the small things you love about your job that you might have been subconsciously ignoring. Take these small things and turn them into BIG things. For example, you may not enjoy attending meetings in your job. Instead of waking and dreading the day because of a 1:00 PM meeting you have to attend, be grateful for the coffee break you will have with your friend at 10:00 AM. Create an inner dialogue that is playful, even for tasks that are repetitive. I know that when I have to, say, stuff 1,000 envelopes I find some sort of game to play, with my own made-up rules and with crazy goals that make me laugh. To someone watching, it looks like I am just going about my business and working. But my inner thinking is amusing me to no end. If you hate your job, remember that you have the real power to sustain that vibration or to change that vibration. You can make your vocation your vacation, with just a little change of focus and with a little bit of redirection in your inner speak.
And here’s the most important part of all of this. If you are stuck in a job you dislike, and you find a way to love it and enjoy it…it’s highly likely that you will be offered another job that you like even more. When you hate your job, the Law of Attraction will keep you in it because it matches you with more of what you are experiencing. You may be fired, but you will attract another job you hate. So if you choose (right now) to love your job more, then more opportunities for work you enjoy will be made available to you in very short order. Do what you love and love what you do…as much as possible…and let the magic or your life take a firm hold and amaze you with every turn. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

9. I love my family for being who they are and for loving me as I am.

There are times that I can’t relax because I am trying so hard to accomplish something. I get the feeling that if I just try a little harder, or focus a little more I will finally be done doing the thing I am doing. This can certainly be true when the thing is paying the bills, or painting a house, or doing the dishes. But what about when you assign that frame of mind to larger aspects of your life, like attaining enlightenment, perfecting your tennis game, or becoming wealthy and prosperous? In these cases we often assign our happiness to a future time when we will be “done” and can then “arrive” in some new place or mindset. We might say “I’ll be happy when I can pay these bills’” or a similar statement. When you do this, you use Law of Attraction to your disadvantage. Remember that the Law of Attraction only responds to your vibration and not your words. So saying “I will put off my happiness until later in the future when this thing happens” keeps the thing from happening, and keeps you in an unhappy place. We are eternal beings, and there is no “there” to get to. The best way to have everything you want right now is to enjoy everything you have right now. There is a perfection in our imperfection…our journey can’t be completed…because it never ends. So don’t wish for the better day to come. Instead, look for the evidence that makes THIS day your best day so far. Find as many excuses as you can to love your journey right now. Be grateful for everything you have today. No matter what you are doing today, find the perfection imbedded in the process. If you love your NOW, you will start ushering in amazing new NOWS as your future becomes the present over and over again. You will no longer long for your work to be over so you can relax into your wellbeing, because you will already be relaxing into the best part…and the ONLY part we have access to…the present. Every night when you sleep, you emerge into a space where you are very allowing. You receive rest and inspiration. You let go of patterns that you might be keeping (for better or for worse) while you are awake. It is a great time to recharge. I have a technique that I have used for years to make that subconscious time even more valuable to your waking vibration: I say a short, allowing affirmation to myself before I fall asleep each night. It’s easy to do, takes almost no time, and you will feel the effects of it as soon as the next morning. Here’s what you do:
Lie quietly in your bed and close your eyes. You should be ready to drift to sleep. Create a present-tense statement that reflects something you are going to receive while you sleep. Let it be one sentence that feels good when you say it. If it is job related, you could say: “My co-workers always enjoy my leadership, and we are a fantastic team.” If it is prosperity related, you could say: “Money and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.” If you are wanting more friends, you might say: “I’m always in the right place at the right time to meet new and interesting friends.” You get the idea.
Now, what you do is you say the statement to yourself, in your mind, while feeling the truth of the statement. Have no doubt that you are allowing this thing to be attracted to you through the Law of Attraction. The first time you say the statement, emphasize EVERY word, and feel each word as a confirmation of the thing you are allowing. See each word in your mind. For example, if you use the statement for prosperity above, it might flash through your mind like this:
MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS
Feel the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the first word:
MONEY and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.
Again, feel deeply the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the second word:
Money AND abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.
Continue in this pattern until you emphasize each word of the affirmation in order. Finally, emphasize the whole sentence again. The whole sequence would look like this:
MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS!
MONEY and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money AND abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money and ABUNDANCE flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money and abundance FLOW to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money and abundance flow TO me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!
Money and abundance flow to ME endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

At this point, relax and enjoy the fact that your mind is focused, your work is done, and your only job is to let the power of sleep do its work while you rest and receive. Look for evidence of the affirmation throughout the whole next day. You will see it. If you like the feeling of the statement, repeat it again for several nights. There is no need to do more than one statement a night. Just do it once and believe in the truth of it. Let the Law of Attraction respond to your asking without you having to “make it happen.” Enjoy, allow, receive, and rest. Be.Love. Hannya-GP

The rules of the Law of Attraction are quite easy to understand, but are perhaps more difficult to practice deliberately. Simply stated, you attract to you the things that match your vibration. Your life, then, unfolds perfectly based on what the Universe “hears” you asking for. You never stop asking, however. You ask with every thought, with every thing you observe, and with every interaction you have with everything. We are all perpetual askers. Another way to say this is that you ask for what you want by focusing on it, and you ask for what you don’t want by focusing on it. Both (wanted and unwanted) are drawn into your experience by your attention to them. It makes sense, then, to give your full attention to the things you want so that you can manifest the wanted things into your experience.
If you have been playing with these ideas, but are a little frustrated that things are not happening more quickly for you, you may be taking score too soon. Once you have asked for something, usually by living some contrast that clarifies what you do want…you need to change your focus slightly. If you keep thinking of yourself as someone who needs the new thing, you may be keeping yourself in a pattern where the Universe brings you more of the same. Universal Forces line you up with things that match the essence of where you are…but the Law of Attraction doesn’t care if you are experiencing something, or just living it in your imagination: it matches you up with more of where you think you are vibrationally. For example, if you ask for money because you don’t have much, the Universe “hears” you and lines you up with more money. But the vibration you need to align with to manifest it fully is “I have more money” and not “hey, where’s my money!” It’s an amazing Catch 22 here…you can’t have it until you feel you already have it…but as long as you don’t have it, it’s tricky to feel like you have it.
Here is something I suggest to get you through the doubt stages of manifestation. Once you have identified something you are asking for, be it prosperity, a new relationship, a better job, or whatever, relax and affirm that your “work” is completed. Visualize the essence of this thing in your mind, and see it already coming to you in full form and completion. Feel the complete thrill of having it already. See yourself enjoying it in as many ways as you can imagine. See yourself telling others how much fun you are having with the thing in your experience. Picture it, but more importantly feel and love the essence of it right now.
Once you have done this visualization (and do it as often as you can), start looking right away for evidence of it coming to you, and be grateful and appreciative for every sign you see. If you are looking for more money, pick up that penny in the street and tell yourself “see, I am prosperous and the Universe brings me unexpected income. This is just the tip of the ice burg for me.” Resist the temptation to say something like “just a penny? Universe, I never have enough. You didn’t HEAR me, did you?” If you look for the small clues, and affirm that they are attached to bigger and bigger clues that eventually usher in the full manifestation, you will rejoice in the smaller evidence as if it were the whole experience coming into your full awareness. The clues ARE there. Your wellbeing is assured. Let go, look for evidence of it, and appreciate the magic of the Law of Attraction. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

Every human being on planet Earth is an extension of Source Energy who is having a unique experience in this lifetime. And while we are all unique, we are also the same…we are the same energy of Source…we all come from the same stuff that makes up everything. Walking around in our bodies, it’s easy to think that we are separated from each other. But in reality, we are much more connected than it appears: each of us is in each of us. Confused? Don’t be. Today try looking for yourself in other people that you see, meet, and interact with in any way. When you do this, appreciate them for who they are, and look beyond appearances to discover aspects of their vibration that match yours in any way. The Law of Attraction has brought them into your reality, so there must be something about them that connects with you on some level. Have an intention to know more about the connection, and let your intuition guide your knowing. Play this game for just a day and you will start to appreciate others for their unique diversity, and also for their expression of Universal truth spoken through the senses of the human experience. You may even feel, as I have at times, that you are meeting another incarnation of yourself in a different race, gender, or generation. It may bring up emotions of love, appreciation, or gratitude…or any other emotions. Go with it, and just enjoy the sense of fun and connection it brings to your day. I love that old song “Let There Be Peace On Earth” because of the message it contains: “Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.” It makes sense that we should be like the thing we want, because that’s how the Law of Attraction lines you up with things. Law of Attraction draws things to you by sensing your vibration and matching it with other thoughts, feelings, and experiences that are similar. And as we have been discussing in others posts on GP, giving your attention to something is all you have to do to start vibrating like it. You are what you think, and what you interact with and focus on becomes your point of attraction…meaning that the Universe is bringing you more and more of it constantly. The phrase “and let it begin with me” is very wise advice for deliberate creators because it puts the emphasis right where it belongs: on you!
When you want to attract something to you, you need to vibrate and become one with it first. In practical terms, if you want more money and prosperity, you must first begin to feel like you have more money and prosperity. If you want an intimate relationship with a new person, you have to feel like the person is already there. If you want peace for the Earth, you must first make peace with yourself and the people in your immediate vicinity. Try this today: make a list of several words that you think best describe what you want to see in others, or in the world. Only you know the best words for you today, but some of these might include: honest people, caring friends, peaceful world, loving family, prosperous economy, thriving health, etc.. Choose one and decide that you are going to let this greater desire begin with YOU! Become quiet, breathe calmly and deeply, and “see” yourself having achieved this greater desire. Feel how you would feel if it were already yours to have. Imagine others interacting with you and commenting on this thing you now have, and how great you look and feel having achieved it. Project this feeling outward toward everything in the Universe. Expand into the knowing that you were able to align with these desires easily, and that you can do it again…easily…on any subject you choose. Give thanks and end the visualization with the knowledge that you have literally created a point of attraction that will create magic in your day. It has been said in many circles that perception is reality. But science, and quantum physics specifically, is beginning to explain that this is literally true. In the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know” evidence is presented that explains how we interact with the quantum field. In essence, they explain that energy exists in a wave when no one observing it, and it exists in particle form when someone IS observing it. The observer literally changes the reality of the quantum field through interacting with it. If we have this ability to snap reality into place when we observe it, then why can’t we have an effect over the reality it embodies? Leading scientists are saying exactly this: we create reality with our perception of it. Over the years philosophers have hinted at this, and even Shakespeare said that “life is a stage,” equating it with the made-up reality of theater. If you can accept the role you play in the creation of reality through your perception, and if you can accept that your perception is greatly affected by the thoughts you think, then you can logically conclude that your thoughts create reality…literally. Knowing this, doesn’t it make sense that you would want to frame your perception to suit your greater desires? How would you do this? Here are a few examples:
1. Stuck in traffic: held up so I can meet up with something important later today.
2. Not in a relationship: getting ready to meet the perfect person who is almost ready to meet me.
3. Unhealthy: honing a strong desire to allow better health and thriving.
4. Stressed: focused and productive and ready to relax very soon.
5. Broke: creating amazing prosperity through strong contrast around money.
6. Uninspired: ready for a new direction
You may think that these are just euphemisms for bad-feeling thoughts. Yes, it’s true. But the feelings behind these thoughts are what really matters here. If you can learn to spin these thoughts into the best possible story you can tell, then you can learn to find the best in ALL stories you tell. Feel the relief that the new statement brings to your consciousness. Assure yourself that you are literally changing the quantum field with your improved framing of reality. Soon you will see reality bending to your interpretation of it. People will call you lucky and fortunate. You will have things begin to work out for you in amazing ways. You will become the master of your life. When people ask, you will say, “I decide what form my quantum field takes, and I am picky about the things I like to experience.” Or maybe you will just smile and say thanks for the support. Either way, taking control of your life will feel wonderful, and you will be in the driver’s seat of your life’s journey, ready to take a joyride. Enjoy this beautiful day! Hannya-GP

As consciousness having a human experience on planet Earth, we are by nature “doers.” We like to do things, and we like to see results from our actions. It is easy to start seeing our actions as the only way things come to us, and to put artificial pressure on ourselves to “do more” and to “be motivated.” Working harder can be fun, and seeing better and better results feels very good. But if you are seeing fewer results from your efforts than you would like to, it may be a good time to examine how you have been approaching your actions. Have you been inspired, or just motivated? If you have been a regular visitor to GratitudePlanet.com, you know that we encourage being present and expanding into not doing anything sometimes. Not doing is a powerful way to let go and allow. However, it doesn’t mean that you should sit in your house and wait for someone to come feed, clothe, and exercise your body for you! There is a time for not doing, and there is a time for doing. If you are in the habit of waking up to a full run and going about your day at light speed, you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially if the pace has been this way for a while. If so, try this approach for a week (if you need to rise earlier to get quiet time in your household, do so): wake and list ten things you appreciate or are grateful for in your life. Hold them to you and be silent. Expand into the wonderful feeling of these gifts in your life. Sit quietly and picture yourself doing the things you love to do. See yourself sailing, or painting, or singing, or dancing, or laughing with others, or enjoying your new house, or your new relationship, or whatever…you know best and you get to choose. Don’t put limits on your own mind, and just allow yourself to experience these thoughts as if they were already a manifested experience in your reality. As you do this exercise, you will start to receive important information from the Universe in the form of new pictures in your imagination, or in the form of a feeling of inspiration. You will come to a new awareness and clarity about what only you can do this day. You will get a clearer sense of your priorities and goals for the day, and you will be inspired to move forward into action. When you feel this, stop the meditation exercise and start the action side of your day, following the inspiration you have received. Actions that are undertaken with uninspired motivation are harder to accomplish, less fun, and leave you feeling worse than before you did the action. Inspired action puts you into the flow of the Universe, so you enjoy the experience more, you have more ease in the process, and you have perfect timing with resources appearing effortlessly as they are needed. Inspired action is easy and invigorating. Motivation can be draining over time. So today, notice how you are moving into your doing phase. Try this inspiration meditation for a week and journal all the things you accomplish. Come back to Gratitude Planet and share your insights with the GP Community. Freely giving can be difficult to do. It can be scary. It can bring up all kinds of stuff around abundance, worthiness, and thoughts of lack. From a “realistic” and practical standpoint, it would stand to reason that the more you give, the less you actually have. In fact, the opposite is true. Remember that the Universe is based on the Law of Attraction, and that you can’t hold one vibration and attract a different vibrational experience at the same time. You get what you are a match to. You get more of what you are thinking and living on a regular basis. It all happens magically, through the ever-consistent and every-fair Law of Attraction. If you are unaware of the average vibration you are maintaining, just look to see how your life is unfolding. Are you excited about what has come and also about what is yet to come? Are you knowing that through your thoughts you are allowing the energy that will let the essence of what you want flow easily to you? If you are, keep on doing what you are doing…it’s working for you. If not, consider looking at your patterns of giving, with this slight twist: Giving can be, but doesn’t have to be, about money. Giving is a state of vibration where you give your love and appreciation freely to everyone and everything in your experience. You certainly can leave a bigger tip for a waitress, or buy something for a friend as a surprise, or donate money to a charity…this is all a form of giving. If you are doing this and asking “why am I not receiving in proportion to my giving?’ you may be stuck in the way you give love, gratitude, and appreciation. The next time you notice someone who has the “stuff” you want, be it a job, a car, a relationship, a website, or whatever, pay attention to how you feel about them. Are you jealous? Do you feel afraid that they might be taking all the pieces of the pie and leaving you behind? Do you get nervous that they might keep you away from the stuff you are hoping to attract? In our discussions at GP we have noticed a tendency to do this, and we are deciding to pay closer attention to these thoughts from here on out. When we see someone enjoying the very things we are wanting, we are going to stop, change the directions of our thoughts away from withholding our gratitude and appreciation, to fully giving our love, appreciation and gratitude to them. When you give the best of your vibration, loving and appreciating these people, you become a match to what they have. You no longer vibrate as a person who can’t get these things, but rather as a person who is part of these things. You enjoy the things as if they were yours, and you give them every bit of your gratitude for letting you share, even from the sidelines, a little piece of their success. This is giving too. Being grateful and appreciative for the things in your life (as well as the things you know are coming soon) is the engine that drives your amazingly-unfolding well being and your ever-expanding prosperity. You may already have a habit of waking each day and finding reasons to be happy and grateful. You may already find it easy to see the best in any situation. You may be getting really good at using affirmations, and you may be able to add to our Gratitude Board with little mental effort. Good for you. So today we ask you this question: “Are you grateful for YOU?” Can you easily create a list of things that you appreciate about yourself? Are you able to give yourself credit for the amazing person you are today, regardless of the expansion you are experiencing today and will experience eternally? Are you aware of the unique gifts that only you can bring to this Earth, and are you willing to own, honor, and proclaim these to the Universe? Some people find this difficult because they don’t want to seem egotistical or self-centered. But if you don’t have a healthy ego, you may be holding thoughts that contradict the way Source feels about you. And when you feel differently about yourself than the way Source feels about you, you are going to feel bad, unworthy, disconnected, and irritated. In fact, if you have been doing diligent work to be aligned with appreciation, and you feel like you have your Attitude of Gratitude working most of the time…yet you still notice some disconnection or have been having some less-than-wanted things appearing in your experience…it may be time to be grateful for YOU more of the time. Try to see if you can make a list of the things that you appreciate about yourself, and see if it is easy or difficult to do this exercise. Do it everyday, mentally or on paper, for a week and you may see a positive vibrational shift in your life. Source Energy loves you, thinks you are amazing, always sees you as worthy, and has already become everything you want to be. Relax, appreciate, and be grateful for YOU. When you are in a funk and you know you are feeling a bit disconnected, think about these steps and see if you can turn it around:
1. NOTICE how you feel. A headache or a minor irritation are real indicators that you are holding onto a thought that is not letting in your bliss and gratitude. Just notice, and take note: I am feeling (fill in the blank).
2. RELAX and breathe. The thing that has your attention is irritating you, and you feel less than good, but it isn’t a real emergency. Most of the problem is your own holding on so tight. Let go of what ever stress you are feeling.
3. REDIRECT your thoughts. Instead of trying to stop thinking about the irritating thing, think about something completely different. Find the best thought you have access to, and think that thought for a few moments. Notice how it attracts yet another better-felling thought. Think that one for a while.
4. ENJOY the relief. Finding a better thought will feel better than the thought you held moments previously. You will be able to feel relief in all ways, and you may even make a headache go away, or a tough situation evaporate.
5. EXPAND into gratitude. Once you feel better, start focusing on all the gifts in your life. Start paying your connection forward by telling yourself and others what you appreciate about your life and experience. Spread your esteem in every direction, to all corners of the Universe.

At Gratitudeplanet.com we think it’s human nature to look into the world and hope to see great things everywhere. It certainly IS great to be in beautiful settings of nature, or with friends you adore. But when you can’t find connection by observing your surroundings, it is your job to look inward and find the connection you want and deserve. You can imagine the beautiful scenes, and picture the people you love and appreciate. Take time to be quiet and still, and turn your thoughts to things that feel good while you think them. Be steadfast to the thoughts you enjoy thinking when you think them. Expand your imagination to include thoughts and images that transcend your present “reality” so that you can “see” yourself doing the things you want to do, driving the car you want to own, or kissing the mate you want to attract. Being connected to Source Energy is an inside job, and it’s the most important job you have; all good things will flow to you when you are connected to your Source. So if you find yourself observing someone or something that makes you disconnect from your inner being, stop, redirect, and remember that you have the ability to turn it around. In fact, you are the ONLY one who can turn it around for YOU. Once you get into the habit of feeling better, it won’t feel like a job at all.
