Live As If Your Love Depended On It!

I was thinking this morning about the phrase “as if your life depended on it,” like when someone says “run as if your life depends on it.” It has several angles worth examining. When you say that your life depends on something, it tends to get your attention. With attention comes focus, and through focus we get clarity. When you are clear about what you want, it is easier to become aligned with an idea. When you are aligned, the Law of Attraction does it’s magic and brings more things to you that are a match to the alignment you have created. So anything that gets your attention can be of benefit to your progress as you create a deliberate life of bliss and connection.

But does your life really depend on something for its existence? Aren’t we eternal beings? Surely we will all make a transition someday back into pure, positive energy. But that won’t be an end, it will just be another transition in an ever-unfolding Universe of expansion. So if we fear death as an end, it can certainly get our attention and give us focus and motivation…but it may cause us to chase our connection to Source from a disconnected, fear-based focus. So I don’t recommend creating focus through fear. So the phrase, “live as if your life depended on it” seems less helpful from this perspective.

So this morning I am using the following phrase to focus my attention to my wellbeing: “Today I live as if my love depends on it!” I am an eternal being. My life is assured. The only real question I have today, then, is whether or not I am allowing my full connection to Source Energy (Love) or not. When I live as if my love depends on it, I take a focused look at how I feel today, knowing that I can open in love, or I can turn from love and be closed off from it. When I choose thoughts that feel good as I think them…thoughts of gratitude, appreciation, wellbeing, etc., I open up my consciousness to higher and higher (better feeling) vibrations. I become a conduit of love and connection. I uplift everyone in my experience (even through cyberspace).

Choose today to pay attention to how you feel, and see if you can allow more love into your vibration. Love yourself first, and then let that love radiate out everywhere you go, into every interaction you have. Love your day, love your cup of coffee, love your job, and love everyone you come into contact with. Your life doesn’t depend on it, but your love does. Live in love today. Your Life Is Like A Beautiful, Huge, And Amazing Puzzle!

This summer I did something I haven’t done in years. I was visiting family and there was a large puzzle on the kitchen table in the process of being completed. Working on a puzzle looks so boring, and I hardly consider it as an activity worth spending time on. But I was on vacation, and I really wanted to spend time with family members, so I started working on the puzzle with them. I have to say, it is way more fun to work on a puzzle than it is to watch someone else work on a puzzle.

I suppose that is a good analogy for life as well: it’s so much fun to be a thriving part of an expanding and fulfilling life than it is to watch someone else thriving and expanding. Luckily, we all get to choose how our life expands through the Law of Attraction, and if there is something we want, we need only give our full attention to it and allow it into our experience. There is another great parallel to life and a puzzle: if you do the whole puzzle in anticipation of how you will feel when you put the last piece in place, you will have a lot of hard work for a small payoff at the end. And most likely, like life, you probably won’t feel a huge thrill when the last piece is in place…it will feel like the next logical step, and you will probably be ready for another puzzle. The trick is enjoying the process of putting it together, and having lots of little thrills along the way to enjoy, knowing that the end is not the goal.

If you live your life like a beautiful puzzle, there will be some immediate advantages to you. Here are some that come to me this morning:

  1. You know you are making something beautiful.
  2. You have many triumphs along the way.
  3. Small roadblocks release into times of great progress, as you find a section of pieces that fit together.
  4. You know that there is order to it all, and you can relax into full awareness that all is well, and that everything you need is provided.
  5. You have a job: to find the next piece. Your job is not to finish it all with the next piece, nor could you if you tried to.
  6. With every piece added, the whole scene gets more and more beautiful.
  7. Problems (pieces not found) on one day get a new perspective on another day, and you “see” things you missed the previous day.
  8. Others can help you see things you were missing as well.
  9. You don’t try to force pieces that look close but don’t fit, but rather you relax and know that the right piece is out there to complete your perfect image.
  10. On some level you realize that it’s really just a game. It’s probably not your first or last puzzle, so there is no rush to complete it so that you can be deserving. You are exactly in the right place at the right time, right now…doing today’s puzzle.

Meditation: The Key To Allowing And Feeling Better!

If you are like me, there are times when you can’t seem to slow your life down long enough to stay centered for very long. I am doing this or that, running here or there, and taking care of things that need doing. But when I feel like I need to find my center, allow more wellbeing, and connect to Source Energy, there is no quicker and better way than to meditate for 5–10 minutes. Some people think that meditating means burning incense, chanting “Ohm,” and pondering your belly button for hours at a time; but I am talking about a much simpler process that I will outline here. Meditation really can be as simple as sitting quietly, walking deliberately, or breathing rhythmically. If you are new to meditation, try these steps and ass if you feel better in the process:

  1. Sit quietly in a chair or on the floor, and make yourself comfortable in an upright position. If you need to wear comfortable clothes, change into these clothes first. Have an alarm that you can program for 5, 10, or 15 minutes. I like my iPhone for this.
  2. Close your eyes and just start to notice everything around you. What do you hear? What do you smell? Take in information from your senses, but don’t judge any of it. Simple notice things.
  3. Once you are in the moment and noticing things, pick one thing to focus upon. It can be your breathing as you notice it going in and out. It can be a sound in the room, such as a fountain, or wind chime. It can be anything you choose.
  4. Once you start focusing on the sound of your choice, just allow yourself to exist in the moment with the sound. If your mind wanders…and it will…just bring your attention back to the focus of the sound, or your breath. There is nothing else to do. Just go with it.
  5. Stick with the meditation for 5–10 minutes and notice how you feel. You will probably get a flash of intuition, insight, or inspiration at some point. You may get the solution to a problem you have been worried about. You may even feel a renewed sense of purpose for the entire day.
  6. When the alarm goes off, open your eyes and take a few more breaths in and out. Be grateful for the time you spent opening your mind and senses. Feel your wellbeing increase. Notice that you probably feel a little better than when you started.

Meditation is a process that can be tailored to the individual, and there is no right and wrong way to do it. You can think a short mantra (several words that you repeat over and over again), or you can use affirming sentences. Everybody has their favorite methods. No matter how you do it, enjoy the process of convening with yourself with the intention of feeling better. If you do it every day, you will really notice a difference as soon as the first day you do it…and the more you do it the easier it gets. Secure Your Own Mask Before Helping Others

The last flight I took there was the normal safely lecture before the jet took off. I pretended to listen (like everyone else) and stared into space. Then, when they got to the part about the oxygen mask coming down from the ceiling it made me think of an important fact of life. This is that you must secure your own mask before helping others. What this means is that you can’t help one other person find their center and connection to Source Energy if you can’t find your own. It is honorable and right to want to be of service and value to others, but you can’t lead another to wellbeing from your sense of not-wellbeing.

The best thing you can do every day is wake, be grateful, and find your sense of bliss and wellbeing before you do anything else. If you see people throughout the day and they sense your good feeling vibration, they are going to want to join you and feel good too. Law of Attraction will line you up with others who feel good too, and you will uplift those who interact with you as well. If you don’t take care of your own vibration first, they will sense this too and will join you in not feeling good. Law of Attraction can line you up with miserable-feeling people just as easily. It’s OK to be selfish when we are talking about putting on your air mask first before you help others. Then let it be OK too that you put on your vibration of wellbeing before trying to assist others to find their wellbeing. Get into the Vortex, and then guide others there to join you. You will be so much more effective doing it in this order. Your power and influence is expanded and multiplied when you are in the Vortex and feeling good, so doing it any other way is not efficient, advisable, or even practical.  Make this day be the best day of your life (so far!), and put on your mask of wellbeing and connection. Use The Power Of Sleep and Allowing To Increase Wellbeing!

Every night when you sleep, you emerge into a space where you are very allowing. You receive rest and inspiration. You let go of patterns that you might be keeping (for better or for worse) while you are awake. It is a great time to recharge. I have a technique that I have used for years to make that subconscious time even more valuable to your waking vibration: I say a short, allowing affirmation to myself before I fall asleep each night. It’s easy to do, takes almost no time, and you will feel the effects of it as soon as the next morning. Here’s what you do:

Lie quietly in your bed and close your eyes. You should be ready to drift to sleep. Create a present-tense statement that reflects something you are going to receive while you sleep. Let it be one sentence that feels good when you say it. If it is job related, you could say: “My co-workers always enjoy my leadership, and we are a fantastic team.” If it is prosperity related, you could say: “Money and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.” If you are wanting more friends, you might say: “I’m always in the right place at the right time to meet new and interesting friends.” You get the idea.

Now, what you do is you say the statement to yourself, in your mind, while feeling the truth of the statement. Have no doubt that you are allowing this thing to be attracted to you through the Law of Attraction. The first time you say the statement, emphasize EVERY word, and feel each word as a confirmation of the thing you are allowing. See each word in your mind. For example, if you use the statement for prosperity above, it might flash through your mind like this:

MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS

Feel the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the first word:

MONEY and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.

Again, feel deeply the truth of this statement. It is coming to you in this moment. Then, say it again emphasizing only the second word:

Money AND abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts.

Continue in this pattern until you emphasize each word of the affirmation in order. Finally, emphasize the whole sentence again. The whole sequence would look like this:

MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS!

MONEY and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

Money AND abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

Money and ABUNDANCE flow to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

Money and abundance FLOW to me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

Money and abundance flow TO me endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

Money and abundance flow to ME endlessly in ever-increasing amounts!

Money and abundance flow to me ENDLESSLY in ever-increasing amounts!

Money and abundance flow to me endlessly IN ever-increasing amounts!

Money and abundance flow to me endlessly in EVER-increasing amounts!

Money and abundance flow to me endlessly in ever-INCREASING amounts!

MONEY AND ABUNDANCE FLOW TO ME IN EVER-INCREASING AMOUNTS!

At this point, relax and enjoy the fact that your mind is focused, your work is done, and your only job is to let the power of sleep do its work while you rest and receive. Look for evidence of the affirmation throughout the whole next day. You will see it. If you like the feeling of the statement, repeat it again for several nights. There is no need to do more than one statement a night. Just do it once and believe in the truth of it. Let the Law of Attraction respond to your asking without you having to “make it happen.” Enjoy, allow, receive, be grateful, and rest. Be.Love. Hannya-GP

We Are The World!

Every human being on planet Earth is an extension of Source Energy who is having a unique experience in this lifetime. And while we are all unique, we are also the same…we are the same energy of Source…we all come from the same stuff that makes up everything. Walking around in our bodies, it’s easy to think that we are separated from each other. But in reality, we are much more connected than it appears: each of us is in each of us. Confused? Don’t be.

Today try looking for yourself in other people that you see, meet, and interact with in any way. When you do this, appreciate them for who they are, and look beyond appearances to discover aspects of their vibration that match yours in any way. The Law of Attraction has brought them into your reality, so there must be something about them that connects with you on some level. Have an intention to know more about the connection, and let your intuition guide your knowing. Play this game for just a day and you will start to appreciate others for their unique diversity, and also for their expression of Universal truth spoken through the senses of the human experience.

You may even feel, as I have at times, that you are meeting another incarnation of yourself in a different race, gender, or generation. It may bring up emotions of love, appreciation, or gratitude…or any other emotions. Go with it, and just enjoy the sense of fun and connection it brings to your day. Life Is A Trial And Error Adventure!

Perhaps you spend a good amount of time thinking about what you want to attract into your experience. It’s exhilarating to enjoy life as a conscious creator. Once you know that everything you want comes to you through your attention to a subject, and that everything you don’t want comes to you through your attention to it, then all you have to do is focus on the things you want…and minimize the rest. Some people beat themselves up when they can’t seem to stay positive, or when they notice that they are thinking about unwanted things. Thoughts ARE powerful, but they don’t grab hold of your reality and manifest into events immediately. There is no need to worry. When you give your attention to things you want, and make the best of every experience you have, you are on the right track to creating the life you want.

If you fall into thoughts of lack, fear or anger, it’s totally alright, and you can always redirect and start again. There is never a point where you can’t begin again, because life is eternal. The Universe is eternal. Your consciousness is eternal. There is no one right way to be. There is only NOW, and all you have is this moment to enjoy and expand into. You don’t even need to analyze your thoughts to see what is coming to you…instead, pay close attention to how you feel. When you are inspired to action, that is because you are in alignment with your greater askings and desires. If you feel bad about an action you are thinking about taking, you are not aligned with the action, and it probably won’t bring you closer to a happy manifestation.

For fun, let every manifestation be a lesson in how you have been doing in terms of focusing on what you want to create. Let every event be evidence of how you are focusing. If something amazing happens, smile and enjoy the manifestation. When you experience a contrasting experience, tell yourself that it is a match to your thoughts, and just affirm that you will redirect to different thoughts concerning the event. Life, then, is a trial and error adventure. It is your life-lab where you get to think and manifest, and think and manifest. What you get matches the essence of the vibration associated with the thought, so the outcome is always perfect every time. Law of Attraction is perfectly consistent every time. How fun is THAT? So if you want to know what you are attracting to you, just notice how your life is going, and have fun redirecting if you feel a need to. It’s never done, so there is no hurry. Give Your Gift Of Love, Gratitude, And Appreciation!

Freely giving can be difficult to do. It can be scary. It can bring up all kinds of stuff around abundance, worthiness, and thoughts of lack. From a “realistic” and practical standpoint, it would stand to reason that the more you give, the less you actually have. In fact, the opposite is true. Remember that the Universe is based on the Law of Attraction, and that you can’t hold one vibration and attract a different vibrational experience at the same time. You get what you are a match to. You get more of what you are thinking and living on a regular basis. It all happens magically, through the ever-consistent and every-fair Law of Attraction.

If you are unaware of the average vibration you are maintaining, just look to see how your life is unfolding. Are you excited about what has come and also about what is yet to come? Are you knowing that through your thoughts you are allowing the energy that will let the essence of what you want to flow easily to you? If you are, keep on doing what you are doing…it’s working for you. If not, consider looking at your patterns of giving, with this slight twist: Giving can be, but doesn’t have to be, about money.

Giving is a state of vibration where you give your love and appreciation freely to everyone and everything in your experience. You certainly can leave a bigger tip for a waitress, or buy something for a friend as a surprise, or donate money to a charity…this is all a form of giving. But if you are doing this and asking “why am I not receiving in proportion to my giving?’ you may be stuck in the way you give love, gratitude, and appreciation. The next time you notice someone who has the “stuff” you want, be it a job, a car, a relationship, a website, or whatever, pay attention to how you feel about them. Are you jealous? Do you feel afraid that they might be taking all the pieces of the pie and leaving you behind? Do you get nervous that they might keep you away from the stuff you are hoping to attract? Almost everyone has a tendency to do this, and you can decide right now to pay closer attention to these thoughts from now on. Just decide that when you see someone enjoying the very things you are wanting, you will stop, change the directions of your thoughts away from withholding gratitude and appreciation, to fully giving love, appreciation and gratitude to them.

When you give the best of your vibration, loving and appreciating these people, you become a match to what they have. You no longer vibrate as a person who can’t get these things, but rather as a person who is part of these things. You enjoy the things as if they were yours, and you give them every bit of your gratitude for letting you share, even from the sidelines, a little piece of their success. This is giving too. Life Can Be A Drag…So Start Skiing!

You are probably intrigued by the title of this post. I was inspired to contribute to Gratitude Planet today because I went water skiing yesterday with friends. When I was trying to get up while being dragged by the boat on my skis, I thought up this excellent analogy to Law of Attraction and the expansion of the Universe. Here’s my brain drizzle:

When you are living your day and you are feeling good, it is as if you are sitting in a boat that is safely moving, or is docked in safe harbor. All is well, and you have no contrast to knock you out of your safe place. But when you experience something that makes you feel bad…you expand and create a better (vibrational) reality for yourself. In this analogy, it like you get tossed out of the boat into the open water. However, you are still connected to the boat by a water ski rope, and you are wearing a pair of very nice skis. The boat represents the new reality you have created, a reality that you are connected to, but that you can’t enjoy right away because it is ahead of you. But your connection to it gives you several choices of action. You can pull yourself toward it and eventually hop back in, and this is a good choice. You would focus on the new condition until you achieved vibrational harmony with it. With the help of Law of Attraction, you would be sitting in the boat very quickly. Or you can just wait and see what happens.

In real life, the ski boat begins to move. If you decide to resist the motion forward, you get dragged by the boat. The weight of the water on your body and skis is difficult to endure, and in short order you come to realize that life is a drag. Your choices now are to keep suffering the drag of the boat, or to turn toward the boat, get your feet under you, and stand up and ski. The moment you do this, the resistance goes away, and you rise above the drag of the water. You start using the water to move ahead, and the boat becomes your sustaining power. Life becomes fun again and you start sailing toward your new condition. In fact, the thrill of skiing becomes the new condition, and you are connected to Source and living again in bliss within the Vortex. Soon you will be sitting safely back on the boat again.

Life, through contrast, causes you to want something better for yourself. Once you expand and create this new thing, you have no choice but to stand up and ski. You can’t let go of the rope in this analogy. The more you resist going with the flow of the Universe, the more and more you will notice the drag of the water. And you will always be expanding. The only real thing to figure out is how to keep up with yourself and your personal expansion.

Is your life a drag sometimes? Mine is, and I know yours is too. Why not make the choice to turn toward the things you want, and away from the things holding you back? Go with the flow, turn in a positive direction, and start skiing! You will be amazed how much fun you were missing, and you will remember that you have the ultimate choice to ski or to get dragged. A Message From Source Energy!

Hello My Beloved! I am writing to you today to help you remember just how much you are loved, and how much you mean to me. I know there are times that you wonder if I am paying attention to you. But rest assured that I am always with you, and I am always available to you. I flow through you in every second of every moment of every day, and while you can resist my flow, you can never cut it off completely. As soon as you relax and stop the struggle, I rush in with the full love and connection of Source to fill you, recharge you, and to assure you that all is well. I am the energy behind the Vortex, and when you are connected to me, you are plugged in to the energy that manages the Law of Attraction.

You did not come here to achieve anything in particular, or to work hard and struggle in pain until your physical death…rather you came here to to explore the diversity of expression on the Earth, to create new ideas and desires, and to experience the JOY of expansion that is uniquely available to you. When you connect to ME, you will think like ME, and you will feel about YOURSELF the way that I feel about you. Here’s a little bit of what I think about YOU:

  • You are beautiful, lovable, and adorable.
  • You are perfectly suited to be YOU, and that is your only job.
  • You are a genius creator of your experience, and you are doing very well.
  • You are loved, and you are perfect as you are.
  • You are always guided, and I will never leave you.
  • You are in the right place at the right time.
  • You can’t get it wrong, because there is no end to your consciousness.
  • You are not judged. Everything you do expands the knowledge of the Whole.
  • You are in complete control of your experience, and what ever you desire, I will provide it.
  • You are so free that I will let you feel anything you choose to feel…including disconnection.
  • You are so loved that even in your disconnection, I will still flow to and through you.

Source Energy is what we all are, and there is no danger of being left behind. Feel me pulsing through you, and allow my energy to caress your body and consciousness into a better-feeling place. No One Needs To Be Like You For You To Be Happy!

I think it’s a human trait to wish everyone would be like we are. If you like a certain TV show, you might wish down deep on some level that everyone would also like it as much as you do. When you figure out how to be connected to Source Energy more often, you want to share these insights with others. Especially when you come to a conclusion through a learning situation, you are likely to want everyone to benefit from your new and improved perspective. But when we want for others, we miss the point that everyone can only want from their own unique perspective. Unless you walk in someone’s shoes and feel the Emotional Guidance System that they have in place, you can never know why they choose their experience the way that they do. All you can really know is how YOU would choose from your unique perspective, and most of the time your choice and their choice will not be the same…and this is OK.

Experiences on this Earth are varied and diverse. You are but one piece of an ever-expanding dance of awareness, and everything you do to allow your own wellbeing benefits the whole. But if you look at others and condemn them for the choices they are making, you diminish your own wellbeing by needing to change others. You can think of the Universe as kind of a cosmic soup with many trillions of ingredients. The soup is managed by the forces of the Universe, including the Law of Attraction. Your experience adds to the flavor of the soup, but you are not all of the soup. You wouldn’t want a soup to be only parsley, and you wouldn’t want but one perspective in the Universe either. So the ingredients need to interact, merge, and add flavor to the whole without competing with each other or diminishing the contributions to the whole.

No one needs to be, think, or act like you do for the Universe to be in its perfect order. If you see someone making a choice today that you know YOU wouldn’t make, bless it, be grateful, and move on with your own choices. Remember that focusing on someone’s choices makes them into your choices, given the time and attention to them. If you want peace, for example, don’t push against people who make war, but rather think peaceful thoughts, and look for peace-loving people to enter your experience. Your experience will be more fulfilling, fun, satisfying, and connected if you accept and appreciate the diversity of thoughts and beliefs on the planet. The Journey Never Ends!

There are times that I can’t relax because I am trying so hard to accomplish something. I get the feeling that if I just try a little harder, or focus a little more I will finally be done doing the thing I am doing. This can certainly be true when the thing is paying the bills, or painting a house, or doing the dishes. But what about when you assign that frame of mind to larger aspects of your life, like attaining enlightenment, perfecting your tennis game, or becoming wealthy and prosperous? In these cases we often assign our happiness to a future time when we will be “done” and can then “arrive” in some new place or mindset.

Have you ever heard yourself say: “I’ll be happy when I can pay these bills’” or a similar statement. When you do this, you use Law of Attraction to your disadvantage. Remember that the Law of Attraction only responds to your vibration and not your words. So saying “I will put off my happiness until later in the future when this thing happens” keeps the thing from happening, and keeps you in an unhappy place.

We are all eternal beings, and there is no “there” to get to. The best way to have everything you want right now is to enjoy everything you have right now. There is a perfection in our imperfection…our journey can’t be completed…because it never ends. So don’t wish for the better day to come. Instead, look for the evidence that makes THIS day your best day so far.

Find as many excuses as you can to love your journey right now. Be grateful for everything you have today. No matter what you are doing today, find the perfection in the process. If you love your NOW, you will start ushering in amazing new NOWS as your future becomes the present over and over again. You will no longer long for your work to be over so you can relax into your wellbeing, because you will already be relaxing into the best part…and the ONLY part we have access to…the present. Exercise Your Freedom To Feel Better!

For all of our Gratitude Planet community located outside of the United States who might not know it, today is Independence Day in the US. It’s a day to reflect on all the gifts we have, all the people that we appreciate, and the freedoms we enjoy in an open society. People are generally off work and are gathering with friends and family for a cookout and a local parade. It’s the perfect day to whip up some Gratitude and Thanks, and now is the perfect moment to let the horses run on a rampage of appreciation and gratitude.

Start with Thanks. Wherever you are right now, take two minutes and mentally list everything you can think of that you are thankful for. Your inner monologue may be something like “Thank you for the weather today, thank you for the air I am breathing, thank you for the clothes I am wearing, thank you for the eyes I use to see, thank you for my mind that helps me think, thank you for the …..” You get to decide what feels best to you.

Next take two minutes to be Grateful. It might go something like this: “I am grateful for my job (or job prospects), and I am grateful for my amazing living space that feels so good to be in, and I am grateful for my interactions with others, both in person and in cyberspace, and I am grateful for my coffee maker that creates a perfect morning drink for me, and I am grateful for…” Again, the words you choose are the right ones for you. Next move to Appreciation. Appreciation feels a little more connected than Gratitude, which is why you should move through Thanks, to Gratitude, and then to Appreciation.

So now, take two minutes and mentally list everything you appreciate. Don’t worry if you repeat some things that you have already said. Your inner monologue may be something like “I appreciate my spouse who loves me so much, and I appreciate my body and all its health and wisdom, and I appreciate my dog who always seems connected and free, and I appreciate Source Energy and its consistent flow of well-being into my experience, and I appreciate…”

If you do these three simple exercises, you will feel a shift in your vibration. You will move up the Vibrational Scale. Your cork will begin to float again…and you will definitely feel an expansion in the way you feel. You will be able to move into love and bliss. You will have done the inner work required to change your world for the better. You will be able to carry this vibration into your whole day. Let Go Of The Cork…It Floats!

Well Being is like a cork under the water. In order for your well being to flow to you, you don’t have to do very much. Imagine you are holding a cork (like a wine bottle top) and you are standing in the middle of a swimming pool just 4 feet deep. If you hold on to the cork and pull it under, it stays under the water. If you let it go for any reason, it bobs right to the top with no effort from you! The only way to keep you away from your well being is to hold your own “cork” under the water of your emotions. It actually requires effort to cut off the flow of Source Energy to your consciousness.

That is why whenever you sleep or meditate, you feel so much better. You stop the resistance. You let go. Your cork floats. It’s nice to know they you don’t need to do anything except let go and allow your well being to flow to you. And when you do this, Law of Attraction will help you flow even more toward what you want. Five Tips For Allowing Your Wellness!

The word “Allowing” describes a state of being where you are connected to your Source. It is a state where you are in The Vortex, in harmony with who you really are. When you are in the state of Allowing, you are feeling good, you are ready for more, and you are enjoying your life in this moment. Being in a state of allowing also means that you are attracting things you want into your experience through the Law of Attraction. Law of Attraction magnifies what ever you are vibrating and brings more of it into your experience. So if you want more of the things you have been asking for, try practicing a state of allowing more often. When you are in this wonderful state, time is on your side, you have perfect timing, and you see the best in everyone, everything, and every moment. Here are five simple tips for expanding your experience of allowing:

1. Meditate. Just sit quietly for five minutes and notice your breath moving in and out of your lungs. If you mind drifts (and it will) then just bring your attention to your breathing again. You will feel the relief of your wellbeing expand. You are in a greater state of allowing now.

2. Be Grateful. Think of all the gifts you have in your life right now. Be thankful for each. Count each blessing one by one, and feel the joy of how many wonderful things you already have. Go over the list again and again. Feel the joy. You are in a greater state of allowing now.

3. Love the people in your life. Think of all the people who you interact with every day. Think of how each one of them is special and how each adds value to your experience at some level, either as a teacher, a student, or as a colleague. Give them a mental embrace. You are in a greater state of allowing now.

4. Visualize everything you want. See yourself having all the things you say you want. Love the feeling of having it all right now. Play with the images until they feel really good. You are in a greater state of allowing now.

5. Just relax. Yes, you can allow by doing nothing. Breathe, daydream, and let go of every worry you have. Release all resistance, and just be. Feel your vibration raise by the act of completely letting go. You are in a greater state of allowing now.

These tips are simple, yet each will make a positive difference in your vibration. Each one will help you feel a little better. Try these and see if they work for you. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

Doing Is Easier With Inspiration And Connection!

As consciousness having a human experience on planet Earth, we are by nature “doers.” We like to do things, and we like to see results from our actions. It is easy to start seeing our actions as the only way things come to us, and to put artificial pressure on ourselves to “do more” and to “be motivated.” Working harder can be fun, and seeing better and better results feels very good. But if you are seeing fewer results from your efforts than you would like to, it may be a good time to examine how you have been approaching your actions. Have you been inspired, or just motivated? If you have been a regular visitor to GratitudePlanet.com, you know that we encourage being present and expanding into not doing anything sometimes.

Not doing is a powerful way to let go and to allow. However, it doesn’t mean that you should sit in your house and wait for someone to come feed, clothe, and exercise your body for you! There is a time for not doing, and there is a time for doing. If you are in the habit of waking up to a full run and going about your day at light speed, you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially if the pace has been this way for a while. If so, try this approach for a week (if you need to rise earlier to get quiet time in your household, do so): wake and list ten things you appreciate or are grateful for in your life. Hold them to you and be silent. Expand into the wonderful feeling of these gifts in your life. Sit quietly and picture yourself doing the things you love to do. See yourself sailing, or painting, or singing, or dancing, or laughing with others, or enjoying your new house, or your new relationship, or whatever…you know best and you get to choose. Don’t put limits on your own mind, and just allow yourself to experience these thoughts as if they were already a manifested experience in your reality.

As you do this exercise, you will start to receive important information from the Universe in the form of new pictures in your imagination, or in the form of a feeling of inspiration. You will come to a new awareness and clarity about what only you can do this day. You will get a clearer sense of your priorities and goals for the day, and you will be inspired to move forward into action. When you feel this, stop the meditation exercise and start the action side of your day, following the inspiration you have received.

Actions that are undertaken with uninspired motivation are harder to accomplish, less fun, and leave you feeling worse than before you did the action. Inspired action puts you into the flow of the Universe, so you enjoy the experience more, you have more ease in the process, and you have perfect timing with resources appearing effortlessly as they are needed. You will attract the things you need through Law of Attraction, and you will feel the perfection of the process more and more. Inspired action is easy and invigorating. Motivation can be draining over time. So today, notice how you are moving into your doing phase. Try this inspiration meditation for a week and journal all the things you accomplish. Pay Your Happiness And Connection FORWARD!

Everything in this world comes and goes, and we all have debts at some point in our lives that need to be paid back. When you owe someone something, you have a responsibility to settle the debt. This makes me think about an excellent movie called “Pay It Forward” that came out in 2000 starring Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt, and Haley Joel Osment. In this movie the idea of “paying forward” came into the mainstream. The idea is that if you do something for someone, instead of asking them to pay you back, you can ask them to pay it forward instead. What this means is that they would look for an opportunity to do the same good deed that you did, except to someone else. Your “payback” and good energy become the start of another good deed that, hopefully, expands and expands outward. This approach has some very nice benefits for you as a deliberate creator of your experience.

Remember that the Law of Attraction matches you up with more of whatever you presently have as measured by your thoughts, feelings, and actions. So to change your life in a real and meaningful way, you first need to change your thinking and actions, and also reach for the best feelings you have access to. When you care about how you feel, and when you take inspired action, your connection to Source Energy becomes stronger, and you start attracting happiness and joy into your experience more and more of the time. As a connected being you now have an ability to remain in the Vortex of connection, and also to magnify and expand that connection in every direction of your life. You can “give away” your happiness everywhere you go.

When you are connected to who you are and are feeling good, you will uplift others with whom you come into contact. Law of Attraction will line you up with people who are ready to feel better, and you will be of great value to their experience. On the other hand, when you are not connected and not in line with who you really are, you can only bring out the same in others. Law of Attraction will put you face-to-face with other people who are struggling just like you are, and you will not be able to uplift in as powerful a way.

It is much more fun to notice your thoughts, feelings, and actions and make the best of where you are. Reach for feelings of relief, and follow the best thoughts that come to you. Once you feel good, picture your love and joy radiating out in all directions toward everything in the Universe. Picture Law of Attraction working like mad by inspiring others like yourself to be in certain places at certain times, all being guided to cross your path today. Make an intention to uplift these people when you see them, not by doing anything in particular, but just by being a joyful, connected, and loving person. Let the magic of each moment unfold perfectly. If you intend to attract these people to you, they will appear in your experience today. Picture your happiness and connection as a gift that you receive from Source Energy, and then pay it forward…all day, every day! Source will refill your cup every time you ask it to, and then you will have something to give away to others. Try this today and see if it makes your day go better. Feel Better…Attract Better…With Law Of Attraction!

If you have read the FAQ page on this site, you know that we want you to feel better when you visit Gratitude Planet. We want you to feel good, of course, but no one feels good all the time. If you think you need to always feel good, you will beat yourself up when you realize that you are a little cranky, angry, or snarky. Feeling good is a great goal, and feeling good is part of the equation that helps you harness the positive power of Law of Attraction. But when you know you don’t feel good, just do your best to feel a little better. It’s all about the Vibrational/Emotional scale.

You only have access to thoughts that are near your present emotional set point. This set point is determined by the thoughts you have been thinking recently. If you feel, say, irritated, then you have access to an emotion that feels a little better (pessimism) as well as an emotion that feels a little worse (frustration). None of these emotions feel good, but one does feel better. By reaching for the one that feels better, you can achieve vibrational harmony with it. You will feel a little relief in your emotional set point, and your new vibration puts you in proximity to an even better-feeling thought: Boredom!

But what if you want to go right from irritation to bliss? The answer is that you simply can’t do it. Look again at the Emotional/Vibrational Scale, grouped in order from the worst feeling (bottom) to the best feeling emotions (at the top):

What ever you feel, you can only move up or down one or two emotions at a time. To go from irritation to bliss, then, is just not going to happen. You can pretend to be happy, but you will not really feel it. Instead, reach for the best feeling thought you have access to. The idea is to climb out of your disconnected thoughts one by one until you get to ones that feel good. Once you feel good, you will automatically attract more of what you desire. Law of Attraction will match your connected thoughts with more and more connected thoughts. Your life will “snowball” in a positive direction and you will start to see wonderful manifestations start to appear everywhere you look. Kick The Habit Of Being Habitual!

When people talk about quitting smoking, they usually talk about “kicking the habit” of smoking. This is a good example of the misuse of the word “habit” because of the associated addiction to nicotine. The dictionary defines “habit” this way:

1 a settled or regular tendency or practice, esp. one that is hard to give up : this can develop into a bad habit | we stayed together out of habit.
• informal an addictive practice, esp. one of taking drugs : a cocaine habit.
• Psychology an automatic reaction to a specific situation.
• general shape or mode of growth, esp. of a plant or a mineral : a shrub of spreading habit

We can see that having a habit or being “habitual” has a negative association according to the dictionary. If a behavior is hard to give up, it can turn into a “bad” habit. Addictions have been informally labeled as habits as well. Of course, we can have behaviors that are healthy and that promote wellness, such as exercising daily, or eating well. The main point here is that we all develop patterns of behavior that either serve us, or they don’t. Looking objectively at your habits can be a healthy exercise of awareness…so let’s look at this a little more today.

When you think something or do something, you send out a vibration to the Universe, and the Law of Attraction immediately matches the vibration and reinforces it. Another way to say this is that if you think a thought for a while, you starting thinking other similar thoughts. The easiest thoughts to think tend to match the ones you have already been thinking. If you do an action over and over, it becomes easier to keep doing it than it does to change the patterns of action. Law of Attraction reads your vibration and and determines where you are vibrationally, and then agrees and gives you more of the same. People, events, and circumstances reinforce your patterns of habit. The Universe does its best to keep you doing what ever you have been doing. It’s like an autopilot. You stay on course.

But what if you are tired of your direction? What if you are flying toward a mountain and you are on autopilot? You have two choices, really. You can change course or hit the mountain. If you decide to change course, and break a few habits of thinking, feeling, and acting, then you will need to put some deliberate energy toward making changes. If you decide to enjoy the ride until you hit the mountain, you will be provided with enough contrast to make you change after the impact. Notice that not changing is not an option here. You get to decide for yourself if you want your change little by little, or all at once.

I prefer to change little by little when I can. It’s hard at first, but it gets easier as you go. Decide to replace a thought today. Notice your thought about something, and tell yourself that you are changing the feeling of the thought. If you are irritated with the way your hair looks, decide to feel hopeful that you will be able to get it cut soon. Small change…big result over time. You can also move your body in new patterns as well. Do you sit to put your shoes on? Then stand today. It will feel awkward, but do it anyway. When is the last time you touched your toes? Touch them today. Just look for patterns of habitual thinking, feeling, and acting that you have taken for granted, and just make small changes. If you desire the changes, keep up the new behavior until Law of Attraction makes it easier for you to sustain it. A big habit may take 30 days to change, as long as you don’t keep repeating the old pattern as you go.

Think of all of this as presenting opportunities to change slowly. Be open to the idea of change, and above all, be willing to kick the habit of being habitual. Thank you so much…    Be Well, 8) Marie-GP

Whether You Believe You Can Do A Thing Or Not, You Are Right!

“Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right.” ~Henry Ford (July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947)

The great American car maker Henry Ford was father of the modern assembly line. He is credited with the above quote, and these words give us insight into the prosperity thinking of this great entrepreneur. Through his attitude, business savvy, and his creativity, he became one of the most wealthy and well-known men in the world. I am not sure if he consciously thought about the Law of Attraction, but his words in this quote suggest that he may have. When you believe something strongly, powerful forces join your belief, and the forces of the Universe align to attract the reality of the belief to your daily life. It is the belief that comes first, and then the physical manifestation follows. Life, then, can be said to be a self-fulfilling prophecy created by your focus and attention.

So what do you want to focus on today? What have you been asking for? You don’t need to attract everything you have ever asked for, and trying to do so would probably feel overwhelming. Instead, sit quietly and decide on one or two things that you would like to increase in your experience today. Do you want more people to treat you well? Then see this in your mind, and decide that you will attract kind people even more today than yesterday. Do you want more time? Then decide that you have all the time you need to do all the things you need to do. See this in your mind, and imagine yourself having such perfect timing that you get back all kinds of time. Do you want expanded prosperity? Then decide that you will attract more resources to you today. Believe that the Universe is working on your behalf to align you with these things, and let the Law of Attraction do the magical part: attracting everything you need to you.

If you decide that people should be nice to you today, you will look for the evidence of it all day. An interaction that wouldn’t normally get you attention will make you pause and appreciate how well you were treated. You will begin to re-frame your reality to conform to your beliefs and expectations, and you will expand the “reality” of the condition. It works on two levels: your optimism, and the work of Source Energy. You optimism comes from deciding what you expect to see, and then holding fast to the excitement of knowing it is coming. The actual physical manifestation comes to you as Source lines up people, circumstances, and events to make your desires manifest into form. Henry Ford said, in essence, that no mater what you expect to see, you will see it. You are always right. Then why not decide to see what you want to see? Why not attract the things you want? Let yourself enjoy this process even more today, and be grateful for the magic of life, and the ease with which you can harness the Law of Attraction. You are always right, so today take a step toward believing that everything you desire is speedily on its way. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP

How You Feel Is Everything!

The Law of Attraction is a consistent, fair, and always predictable law of the Universe: you attract to you the things that you give your attention to, regardless of if you want them. You have an ability to spin your perception in ways that make the best of any situation, and in doing so, you literally change the way that the Universe manifests for you. The most important part of harnessing the power of the Law of Attraction is to notice how you feel. If you feel good, you are attracting everything you are asking for vibrationally. If you feel bad, you are attracting things that you won’t like very much when they appear in your reality. But there is no need to stop thinking thoughts, or to panic and attempt to censor your mind. In fact, trying to stop a thought in its tracks is next to impossible. Instead, you are better off relaxing and redirecting your thoughts to something that feels a little better. The point is to notice how you feel, acknowledge where you are, and always move toward things that feel better. Simply turning from things that make you feel worse…just thinking about something else…is all you need to do to “stop” the thoughts that feel worse.

Not long ago I wrote about a game I play as I go through my day. It helps you keep track of how you are focusing your attention on any subject. I call it the “That Feels Good” game. In this game, you just pay attention to how your day unfolds in terms of how it feels to you. In this game there are only two phrases: “That feels bad” or “That feels good.”  When you say “that feels bad” to yourself, it’s time to redirect. When you say “that feels good” to yourself, you just drink in and savor and appreciate the moment for the good feeling it brings. You might even follow a good-feeling experience deeper to see if it gets better and better.

Here are some examples to clarify this.

1. Someone who is talking to you shifts their focus to all the problems they have been experiencing. It goes on and on. You calmly say to yourself “this feels bad” and think of a way to redirect. You may give them words of comfort, or help them see a silver lining in the situation…or you may just be silent and let them talk themselves out. See if you can elicit a “that feels good” from your vibration. If you can’t then it’s time to move on to another encounter with someone else, as opposed to helping them whip up the disconnection by participating fully in it.

2. You are in a grocery story in the checkout line, and someone cuts the line. You feel some negative emotion and say to yourself “that feels bad.” You have two choices. You can continue to feel bad and maybe even confront the person, or possibly stew about it to yourself, or start talking to another customer about the “injustice,” or you can find something else to focus upon that feels better. In this case you might notice an adorable child in the cart behind you, smile at it, and start up a very pleasant conversation with the parent of the child. If so, you might feel you connection return. You would say “that feels good.” Then continue to enjoy the interaction. The line cutter is no longer part of your vibrational attraction.

3. You are out shopping and the day is going well: the lights all turn green as you roll up, you get the parking spaces you want, and the traffic is flowing well. Every time you notice one of these events going your way, just say out loud or to yourself “that feels good.” Smile and rejoice that you have perfect timing. Bask in it. Noticing that acknowledging that you feel good actually makes you feel even better.

4. You are having a good time at work, and all your activities feel rewarding. Suddenly an email comes in from someone who recently had a disagreement with you. You look quickly to determine that there is no new information in the letter, and you notice strongly “that feels bad.” In a microsecond you tap the DELETE key, and in a few seconds you begin to feel your connection return. Before long, you will be able to say, once again, “that feels good.”

This is a game, so there is no need to be serious about it. Just notice how you feel and what you say to yourself in your “inner speak.” If you don’t have strong feelings either way, just say nothing. By following your bliss throughout the day, you will enjoy the process more, you will love the day more, and you will be using the Law of Attraction to put everything you want at your finger tips. You will live your day from inside the Vortex, where all the things you want are ready to manifest. Try it and let me know if you get great results. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP

Life Is A Thought Buffet!

When you go out to eat at a buffet, you get to choose the things you want to eat in the exact amounts that you want to eat them. And a really good buffet will have foods that you can try for the first time, as well as exotic delights that you might not try if you were ordering off the menu. I great buffet is fun, and enjoying so many diverse tastes can be a real treat. Have you ever considered that life is a thought buffet? You are born into this body, and you immediately begin interacting with many diverse vibrations. You emerge into a world of diversity where you are able to choose from a vast variety of thoughts and ideas that you can then give your attention to. Law of Attraction then helps bring you more things that have a similar essence of vibration…and you get to choose again…and it never ends. However, some people choose their thoughts with less care than they choose food at a buffet! At a buffet most people look at all the food available, decide which ones they will enjoy the most, and then they give their plate a good helping of these foods. No one looks for the foods they hate so that they can get a heaping plate full. They don’t worry that foods they dislike can get on their plate, and they know that the existence of foods they dislike do not stop them from choosing the foods that they do like. They also know that the foods they do not prefer might be a favorite choice of someone else. We acknowledge that when it comes to food, everyone likes something a little different.

Thoughts are exactly the same, and it is good practice to choose your thoughts at least as carefully as you choose your food. For example, if you think a thought that feels bad while you are thinking it, it’s like eating a food you are allergic to, even if it seems to taste alright at first. No thought can kill you, so just look for one that feels better and continue choosing from the thought buffet. Look for thoughts that feel like your favorite foods feel when you eat them: feast on thoughts that you enjoy thinking. Never worry that you need to stop people from thinking the way they choose to think, because it’s not your job to police the buffet. In fact, when you try to stop someone from thinking a thought or from believing a certain way, you are putting the essence of the unwanted thing on your plate and you are including it in your vibration. The Law of Attraction draws things to you, and it never pushes things away. So your thought buffet is a Universal buffet with everything you can imagine in it. You get to choose what you include, and it’s not your business to worry about what others might choose. Be masterful and choose the things you love, and savor them like a food critic. Continually upgrade to thoughts you like more and more. When you make a choice you don’t like…and you will often…just forget that thought and pick another one. Refuse to eat foods (think thoughts) that make you sick. Be healthy, be love, and be connected to Source. Enjoy this most amazing day! Chris-GP

Live Every Day With Quality and Craftsmanship!

If you have wanted something for a while, you might begin to feel frustrated more and more the longer it takes to materialize in your experience. You may think that you need to work harder, or that you need to do something big to make your desires manifest. But you are not responsible for the work that the Universe does on your behalf, and you don’t need to manage the Law of Attraction to make it work for you either. Here’s an illustration to help clarify this.

Pretend that life is like a giant assembly line, and that you are a single worker on that assembly line. Your job is to add your energy and expertise at exactly the right time, and with all the care, quality, and craftsmanship you can. You are not responsible for placing the order, or keeping the line running, or adding other pieces, or even worrying about the final product. Your job is to add your unique piece as masterfully as you can.

When life causes you to want something, as you desire it a signal is sent to the Universe, and an order is placed with Source Energy on your behalf for a physical manifestation. While you are the “asker” for the new condition (money, health, a new job, more friends, or whatever) you don’t need to spend one second worrying if the Universe got the order. Once it is placed, it is placed. Now your focus can be to recognize when your “product” comes by on the assembly line, and to add your quality and craftsmanship to the product. In the case of more money, you would live your day looking for evidence of more money coming to you.

Let’s say you are buying something and the clerk informs you at the checkout that she will be taking an extra 20% the total; picture your prosperity coming before you on that vibrational assembly line. What are you going to do as it goes by? If you say something to yourself that feels like “the Universe is always looking out for me, and is bringing me more money all the time,” it is as if you polished the desire and put gold trim around it. Then off it goes, toward some finished product you will see shortly. But your job is done until you see the next piece of evidence of your prosperity. Look for it, and you will see it again. Add another detail of vibrational quality as it comes by again.

If you decide instead to say something to yourself that feels like “I shouldn’t be spending this money because I never have enough. Another 20% off what I don’t have is not good for my prosperity,” then it is like taking a baseball bat and knocking the product right off the assembly line belt as it goes by. Instead, always think about the value you can give the thought, and do your best to make the quality of the thought increase as it travels by on your vibrational conveyor belt. You are not the factory, the Universe is. You are not the conveyor belt, time and space is. You are not in charge of assembling the pieces before they get to you, Law of Attraction is. Do YOUR job today, which is to add craftsmanship and quality to the piece that is before you right now. Relax and let the rest of the work be done by Source Energy. If you do this you will be amazed at the end result: what you want will be in your experience more and more of the time. I think it is actually very freeing to know I don’t need to do it all, and that I have a specific and manageable job. I give thanks, gratitude, and appreciation for my specific job and purpose today. Do your job proudly and joyfully today, and let the pieces come together naturally and with love. Enjoy this most amazing day. Chris-GP

Remember Those Who Created Peace!

It’s Memorial Day in the United States, and I just love an extra day to just remember the things that I am grateful for. It makes me think of the song “Let There Be Peace On Earth” because of the message it contains: “Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.” It makes sense that we should be like the thing we want, because that’s how the Law of Attraction lines you up with things. Law of Attraction draws things to you by sensing your vibration and matching it with other thoughts, feelings, and experiences that are similar. And as we have been discussing in others posts on GP, giving your attention to something is all you have to do to start vibrating like it. You are what you think, and what you interact with and focus on becomes your point of attraction…meaning that the Universe is bringing you more and more of it constantly. The phrase “and let it begin with me” is very wise advice for deliberate creators because it puts the emphasis right where it belongs: on you!

When you want to attract something to you, you need to vibrate and become one with it first. In practical terms, if you want more money and prosperity, you must first begin to feel like you have more money and prosperity. If you want an intimate relationship with a new person, you have to feel like the person is already there. If you want peace for the Earth, you must first make peace with yourself and the people in your immediate vicinity.

Try this today: make a list of several words that you think best describe what you want to see in others, or in the world. Only you know the best words for you today, but some of these might include: honest people, caring friends, peaceful world, loving family, prosperous economy, thriving health, etc.. Choose one and decide that you are going to let this greater desire begin with YOU! Become quiet, breathe calmly and deeply, and “see” yourself having achieved this greater desire. Feel how you would feel if it were already yours to have. Imagine others interacting with you and commenting on this thing you now have, and how great you look and feel having achieved it. Project this feeling outward toward everything in the Universe. Expand into the knowing that you were able to align with these desires easily, and that you can do it again…easily…on any subject you choose. Give thanks and end the visualization with the knowledge that you have literally created a point of attraction that will create magic in your day. You are now ready to line up with evidence of your alignment through perfect timing, “chance” encounters, and new and exciting developments in all areas of your life. Stick to one or two desires for two to four weeks, and just enjoy the process of already having what you want to see in the world. Say to yourself, “Let there be _____ on Earth, and let it be me, breathe me, and live through me right now.” Try it and let us know how it worked for you. Enjoy this most amazing day!  Chris-GP

Breath Equals Life!

Are you wanting to be free, alive, and connected to Source Energy more often? One key is to reduce your resistance to the flow of the Universe, and to let yourself fell better and better over time. Law of Attraction matches you up with more resistance, or more connection, based on what you practice most often. I have a hard time relaxing sometimes, and I always go back to this one simple tip when things get tough: Notice Your Breath! When you are resisting your well being, you almost always will also be resisting your free flow of oxygen as well. Yogic masters have taught the free flow of breath for thousands of years, and breathing is the fastest way to connect to well being that I can think of. You don’t even have to feel disconnected to practice breathing. Here are a few tips.

  1. As soon as you can after waking in the morning, stand and take about 20 fast, deep, and cleansing breaths, blowing air in and out vigorously. Be careful not to get light headed, and pay attention to if you feel dizzy. Take three breaths per second, filling and emptying as much as you can with each breath. Picture Life Force pulsing through your entire being. Then just relax and start your day.
  2. When you feel tense or resistant, or if something has gone very wrong for you, sit and breathe slowly, in and out. Let each breath be 5 seconds or so, and just feel the air coming and going. See the tension melting away. Work to make each inhalation and exhalation longer and longer until you can sustain a 10 or 15 second cycle.

Making the breath move makes your energy move too. Stagnation equals death, and movement equals life. Holding your breath equals death, then, and the free flow of breath equals life.
